Bacon and toast yum ! , he ate away happily for a while. Not only had he avoided pancakes but he had appeared to spark up a conversation, all by himself. " ewrrm ... itzz okuyy " he tried to speak but hes mouth was full, don't speak with your mouth full he swallowed his food quickly , maybe too quickly as he coughed slightly " sorry " he said to Caroline a little breathless " its okay yeah " he said in clear English this time. " Well im originally from Scotland, but you wouldn't notice , accents completely faded " A slight smile found its way to Zanders face as he took a bite of toast making totally sure to keep his mouth closed and not attempt to speak.

He couldn't help put give her a slightly quizzical look as she asked if he was In Slytherin, he glanced down at his robes to where the House badge was " yeah .. im in Slytherin " hey maybe she was that fascinated by the ceiling that she didn't notice, after all , that ceiling ... was pretty fascinating. " How about you ? where are you from ? "

Caroline listened as he told her that he throught Hogwarts was okay, and he came from scotland and his accent had faded. She smiled at him. She then noticed that he had has slytherin uniform well duh! Caroline he had his uniform on, silly girl. She paused for a moment. "I'm from here in London" she said politely. "where did you go to school at before?"

" Oh here and there " he said with a slight wave of the hand, he was more interested in the fact that she came from London, He glanced up from his place at her " whats it like living in a big city then ? " he ate the last of his bacon and eyed the orange juice, before figuring he should answer her question properly " Well, I've been all over the place to be honest " he said as he scratched the back of his head " My dads worked for a few different ministrys of magic, The last school i was at was a wizarding school in Italy .. which was cool ... language barrier was a bit challenging though ... " He poured himself a glass of orange juice, and pushed away his plate.

Okay she had been kinda joking when she said she had wanted vegetable chowder but the moment it appeared, Mia inhaled deeply and closed her eyes. Oh wow that smelled really good. Her stomach gave a small rumble of impatience. She opened her eyes and picked up a spoon while throwing Sal a small grin. "Thanks."

The spoon was halway to her mouth when Sal spoke and she hesitated a moment. "What do you mean still in one piece?" Had something happened to him? Mia belatedly realised that her spoon was still hanging in the air and she quickly put it into her mouth.

What was he talking about? What win? Oh right! Quidditch. How could she forget about that? Probably because as far as she was concerned that game was not all it was cracked up to be. And more to the point, it was rather violent.

"If you say so Salander." She said giving him a little smirk. Quite frankly she didn't really care who won the Quidditch Cup but it was fun to play along. "But from what I hear, so long as Jake is playing Seeker all the other houses don't stand a chance."

This was good. Sitting here and talking as though nothing had gone wrong between them but the thing was it had and Mia just couldn't pretend that it hadn't happened. "I got your letter. And your gift." She peeked at him from under her lashes and quickly rushed on. "I wanted to say thank you. And that...I accept your apology. And I am sorry for..." Actually she didn't think she had anything to apologise for but she just couldn't help saying it. "Well I'm sorry too."

Caroline nodded "It's interesting to say the least. I live there with my brother, over the summer when I dont want to stay with my mum" Which is all the time pretty much. She hates going into great detail about her history thing new people, there only one person in the school who knew almost everything. Anyway back to the converation that she was having with Zander at the moment. Ohhhhh Italy..."wow that must have been fun, except the language barrier." she smiled

She seemed to drift off into thought after mentioning her Mum, well everybody had things they didnt want to talk about he thought as he took a gulp of orange juice. " Italy was certainly warmer .. but meh, i like it here " he smiled.

Caroline nodded, after finishing her food. "Want to take a walk on the pathways with me?" She asked awkwardly. The great hall was starting to get crowded. She could use the fresh air.

Zanders eyes twinkled slightly he was never really great at making friends but he appeared to be on the right track here " yeah, that would be cool " he smiled at her. As he got up, he couldn't help another glance upwards, he had a fleeting feeling that he must seem like such an odd person to Caroline, as he thought this he glanced down at the girl, hoping she wasn't shooting him an odd look " good to get some fresh air "

While Benjamin ate his breakfast, Zeus, his owl came through the window and dropped something like a package off and flew back through a window and disappeared. Benjamin quickly opened the package from his father quickly and saw a rune covered box with something inside of it. He opened it and saw two rings inside. He put on both rings and all of a sudden felt more powerful. he quickly ate his breakfast and went down to the dungeons to the dorm room.

Marie had a splitting headache like you wouldn't believe. She was wearing green sweatpants, green hoodie and her hair was a mess. All she wanted to do was lay in her bed , not move, not look at anything and definitely not let anyone see her the way she was looking. So why was she in the Great Hall then? Because she was hoping that if she drank some juice and maybe ate some toast then her headache would go away.

Sitting at the first available seat at the Slytherin table closest to the door she poured some orange juice then put her head on the table. It was too much effort to try and drink it right now.

She should have just stayed in bed.

*Walking down the table Matty smirked seeing someone he would love to pick on but getting closer he saw that she wasn't doing to good. Sitting down next to her he pulled up a plate of food.*
"Hey Marie... you should eat something. And here..."
*Grabbing a straw he charmed it to double a bit and then put them together leading from the cup to her mouth.*

Sensing someone sit next to her Marie sort of groaned. Why did this person have to sit here? There was a whole table, they could have sat at the other end, far away from her.

Turning her head slightly when the person addressed her, she seen it was Matty. Oh great, she wasn't in the mood to put up with...

What!? He was being nice to her? "No thanks, it hurts too much to eat." She said closing her eyes again. Ahh much better, no light hitting her eyes. Feeling a straw touch her mouth though she did take a small sip of her juice. "Thanks Matty." She still wasn't taking her head off the table though.

*He smirked a little and bent down to look at her. Must be the O.W.L's getting to her. It seemed to be getting to every fifth year. Matty then wondered what was hurting her.*
"Where does it hurt?"

Where did it hurt? That was a good question. "Pretty much my whole head." Yes, her brain was hurting today. It was screaming ;NO MORE STUDYING!' Which she was quite happy to oblige today. There would be no books opened by her for the next few days.

*Pulling out a handkerchief he put it in a pitcher of ice water then tapped her shoulder.*
"Now sit up and hold this to your forehead, but keep your eyes closed."
*He guessed by the way she was hiding her face that the light hurt her. Waiting until she sat up he put his fingers on the side of her head next to her eyes.*
"Now I'm going to rub the side of your head so don't freak out and hit me okay?"
*He waited to see if she would be okay with him doing that.*

Touching her... why was he touching her? And he wanted her to sit up too. Opening one eye she peaked over at him to see what he was holding. Oh, a wet cloth... that he wanted her to put on her head. And he wanted her to sit up. Did he not realize how much effort that would be for her? Probably not.

Taking the wet handkerchief from him she put her elbows on the table and rested her forehead in her hands, right on the cold cloth. "Don't worry, I don't plan on opening my eyes if I don't have to." And now with more touching. Touching that she wouldn't be doing anything about at the moment.

She didn't have the strength to hit him right now even if she wanted to.

*Matty wasn't up for touching people, most of all Marie. But he hated seeing people in pain more and he knew this would clear her head. Seeing that she was having a little trouble moving he gently turned her toward him so that she was facing him. Slowly he rubbed the side of her head for a few moments then the spot where her nose met her eyes and back again to the side of her head. After a few minutes he pulled back, took his robe off making a pillow and moved her to rest on it.*

"How do you feel?"

Feeling herself being turned Marie let her elbows slide off the table. Crud, that meant her head wasn't being supported now... however Matty now had both his hands on her head, and he was rubbing her temples and then the bridge of her nose and back to her temples.

No, why was he was stopping? That was actually feeling good. WHY was he stopping now? Better yet, why was he getting undressed? Oh that's why. He was making the table comfy for her to put her head back down. Which he helped her do. Ahh, she could fall asleep right there.

"I feel like... you should maybe rub my shoulders and neck. You know since they are connected to my head." If he did that and he actually made her headache go completely away she might just have to thank him. And not with a punch to the nose either.

*He laughed a little and rubbed her shoulders with one hand for a moment.*
"I will only if you drink something then go to your common room and take a nap."
*Matty sat with her for awhile getting the tension out of her neck and shoulders until he finally stopped.*
"O.W.L's right? To much studying makes a persons brain choke."

"Fine, I'll drink my juice.' She said. Not bothering to sit back up she grabbed her juice and sipped from the straw. It really did taste good. Maybe she would have 2 glasses of it today. And a nap sounded like a great idea. Only in her bed not in the common room.

Relaxing a bit as Matty rubbed her neck and shoulders she actually felt herself starting to drift off to sleep. Well this wasn't good. She didn't want to sleep in the Great Hall. Sitting up when Matty stopped rubbing she poured another glass of orange juice and drank it. She was feeling much better now. She could actually open her eyes and it didn't hurt. "Thanks Matty. I feel a lot better now. You keep acting like this I might never hit you again." Okay, maybe never was the wrong word to use, but it would be really hard for her to hit him if e keeps being nice to her.

"Yeah, O.W.L.s. I didn't think I would get this stressed over them but I really want to do good." She said as she grabbed a piece of toast and started to nibble on it. "I think my brain is beyond choking. I think it is dead." It would probably never come back to life if she tried cramming anymore information into it anytime soon.

"Cramming? We are no where near the test yet. It's good to study yes, but over studying can be worse then not doing it at all. Take a couple days rest, it's Friday so you have the weekend."
*Standing up he stretched, he had been sitting there longer then he thought. With one last smirk he bent down and whispered.*
"See, I'm not really all that bad am I?"

*A yawn escaped him and Matty walked away. A nap sounded like a good idea for him too. But he couldn't sleep in his dorm. The boys in his room had turned to pranking anyone who fell asleep. Maybe the room of requirement? But it was so far... better get a move on it. Yawning again Matty left grabbing a bag of crisps as he went.*

Cookie dwaddddled into the room and plopped on a chair. It creaked under her weight. She pulled up a goblet full of Dr. Fizz extro carbanate. She piled her plate with two of everything. Soon it was above eyelevel. she ate and ate. she started to feel a stretch on her taut tummy. This meandt she had to eat more. after filling her goblet several times and refilling her plate twice more she looked at her midsection. It was resting on her thunder thighs, just waiting to burst through

"ohhh" she gave a little moan. this was only a light snack. She ate more until she was forced to crouch under the weight of her tummy. It hurt like someone was tugging on it. She ate dessert. Six cauldren cakes, three slices of pie, pumpkin ice cream, eight scoop, oh, oh! then she had "after desert." A bag of chips, chocolate cookies, more and more!

"Well I would rather cram now instead of waiting until the very end and try to get it all in at once." Which she would probably end up doing anyway. "Don't worry, I plan on resting this weekend, no studying at all." She was going to relax and have fun in Hogsmeade this weekend.

She watched as Matty stood up and stretched. Aww, he was leaving already? She wanted him to rub her head some more. But not before he whispered in her ear. "Well not today you're not." she whispered back.

As he walked away Marie turned back to finish her toast and juice. That's when she realized Matty had left his robes there with her. Turning to call him back she seen that he was already gone. Hehe, well now. Looks like Marie has another set of robes to add to her collection. All she needs is a set of Gryffindor robes and she will have them all.

She quickly finished eating then scooped up Matty's robes and headed down to her dorm room. She needed to take a nap now that Matty had massaged her head and neck, making her all nice and relaxed.

She really would have to thank him again later.

Fee made her way to the Slytherin table and looked around.She was kinda neverous to meet up with Bryce but the blonde was sure their tour through Hogwarts would be fun.From what she knew Bryce was awesome.Hehe. fluffing up her hair a little Fee concentrated on the people walking in.Where was he?!

He was lost. Was he in the right place? Was this the Slytherin Table? Well he knew it was the Great Hall because he had asked some first years. He was new and he couldn't hide it. At least when you start at Durmstrang you get shown around for a bit when your a new student but here you have to find your own why around. He was just so confused and he hate it. WAS HE AT THE RIGHT PLACE? Oh monkey feathers Bryce thought.
