Well, that was a surprise. There were no words on the front. "Do you know it?" she muttered, glancing at Finn. She for one, didn't know the bird or even seen it before.

"Yup..." Finn grinned, as he noted it in his mind. Because otherwise he would've just forgotten, and then like they would've endued up with a distracted Marie and Finn. "How do you feel about joining us?" He asked with a smile. Evelyn was a 5th year too, so surely it would be useful for her to come along too? He could definitely help them both.

Finn pouted, reaching across the table, and picking up a iced bun instead. This would be okay right? There was no chocolate on this, so Evelyn woudln't knock it onto the floor right? Well before she even got the chance he took a huge bite. Nommy. "Do I look like I care Evelyn?" He asked with a little grin. He loved chocolate. But maybe he'd just eat it when he wasn't around EVelyn, because he had a feeling that she was just going to react this time every time he got some chocolate out. Which was not very fun.

But now they had been joined by a big bird. Finn eyed it carefully. How dare it come ruin their conversation. "Nope....not at all."

There will be no chocolate at these study sessions either. Stare.

Before she could even speak about the iced bun though, Finn was already eating it. Pfft. Well, she supposed it was better than a chocolate brownie. Maybe. "You should care." she muttered, placing the napkin down neatly on the table next to her plate. Shaking her head as she narrowed her eyes at the Ravenclaw, acting all disappointed like, Evelyn finally turned her attention to the bird who hadn't moved once it landed. What...was that like, some kind of trick? Statue style?

Apparently, Finn didn't know who the bird belonged to. Meh. One way to find out then. Taking the blank envelope, she flipped it over and opened it, taking the folded letter out. Hmm, she probably should have been wary about any poisons that the parchment could have held or...something. Yea, she remembered that one lesson Kazi had taught them. *shudder* Anyhow, the letter had her name on it.

Eh? Reading the first few lines, her eyebrows knitted together in confusion before raising in...shock. Erm...erm, okay. Not a letter to read here. "I...got to go Finn. Something..." Came up. Gotta go. "Just...gotta go. I'll talk to you later though?" Yush?

Iris was hungry. Like, a lot more than usual. The prefect had just finished her prefect duties for the morning, and she'd decided to do them before breakfast. What a silly idea that was.

Not observing who was at the table already, the girl took an empty seat and sat on it. She picked up a sandwich and some pumpkin juice, and strummed her fingers lightly against the table...

Being a teenage boy made Leo think and constant want food all the time. He was a growing boy, he couldn't HELP his urges for food. So, now it was lunch time for the boy even though he had food a little over an hour ago. He didn't care though, he was a twig and quite frankly starving!

He sat down on the table, sitting across from a pretty blonde. Of course, he had a girlfriend now so he really shouldn't think of other girls as pretty. So, he just like...avoided her face and instead looked at the container of pumpkin liquid. Yes, it was just a liquid. Juices were yummy and didn't taste like gross vegetables hence why it was just a liquid. Without really even noticing the boy began to speak,"I hate that stuff."Th boy mumbled, referring to the liquid. "Makes me think I'm drinking Cinderella's thingie that she rode to the ball thing..."What? He liked Disney movies? Hehh.

He looked up at the blonde's face now, smile on his face to show he was you know, not trying to offend her or anything.

Iris looked up as someone sat down opposite her. She recognised him from classes and from in the common room, but couldn't remember his name. Iris smiled at him lightly and took another chomp out of her sandwich.

Well she wasn't making HIM drink it.

"Pumpkin juice reminds you of Cinderella's carriage." Iris repeated, with an amused grin on her face. "Um..." The prefect giggled, slightly unsure of what to say to such a comment. She eyed her drink for a moment. "Great. Now that's all I can see. I can't drink it now." Running her hand through her hair, Iris grinned back at the boy. He was a peculiar boy... like most of the guys in Slytherin.

Taylor moved quickly, yet still perfectly elegantly over to the Slytherin table. She pulled back her long, blonde curls into her trusty green ribbon and sat down at her favourite spot in the middle- she pulled out her diary and her trusty pink (of course) muggle pen and began her latest entry. Which was obviously about Draven of course. She had been missing him so much- they barely saw each other, even though they were at school together now and it really got her down sometimes.

She breathed out deeply and rested her elbow on the table before chewing on the lid of her pen absent mindedly. Wondering if any of her friends were about, or just anyone really! Tay was always up for making new friends- it was one thing that she was good at doing! She kept a big, dazzling smile on her face and looked around, up and down the table to see if she could find someone to talk to.

She was repeating what he said, did he not speak clearly? Was she double checking to make sure he had said that? Leopold wasn't sure, all he knew that she was grinning. So, Leo decided to repeat it another time just so she could see that yes, indeed it reminded him of that princess. He nodded his head swiftly, resting his elbows on the table."Yeah, HUH. CINDERELLA.Pumpkin carriage? You know how that goes right?"

Oh gosh, what if she was one of those silly purebloods who knew utterly nothing about ANYTHING related to muggles? Leo was sure THOSE people ~~like his best friend, the French Fry~~ lived in little boxes in the ocean away from society. Okay but now she was laughing and seemed to think he was slightly wacko which Leopold could deal with. He was used to it from everyone else. The boy beamed but then frowned as she said she couldn't finish her pumpkin juice.

.....He was now going to freak out.

Leo FLAILED a bit, bouncing around in his seat."NOOOO! Don't waste it! At least you are eating the carriage and not the horse, right? RIGHT?"

Samira was quite lonely. She couldn't seem to find anyone to talk to-Slytherin or not. Everyone seemed to be too busy. Finally, her eyes landed on another Slytherin girl who was sitting alone. Samira placed a bright smile on her face and her eyes lit up. She strode confidently over to the girl.
"Hello," said Samira brightly. "I'm Samira. Who are you?" The young Slytherin wasn't sure if she was being to straight forward, but she was desperate.

Cass headed for the Slytherin table without any prelude, as neared, her blue eyes scanned the great hall, looking for anyone she knew, she wouldn't want any of her friends feeling neglected now, would she?

Then she smiled when she saw Tay sitting at the table looking glam as usual. So she decided to walk over to her and keep her company "Hey darling, mind if I sit here?"

Tay looked up when the girl walked over to her and returned her smile in her usual beautiful manner. "Hi" she said back- patting the seat with her ring'ed hand on one side of her. "I'm Taylor... well, you can call me Tay though" she replied kindly to Samira.

As she was walking to the table, she saw a young girl sit right next to Taylor. So she walked up to said girl and asked with a smile "Hey there, mind if I join the two of you?"

Samira smiled at the newcomer, who looked to be about her age, if not older. "Hello. I'm Samira. Do you and Tay know each other?" Samira felt a little embarrassed about interrupting the two friends. She didn't want to be a bother, but Tay seemed very nice. Samira had her excuses prepared in case she noticed that she was bothering the two older girls and needed to leave.

"Cass, that was very formal!" Tay laughed- but Cass was just naturally lovely, so it was always genuine when she did stuff like that. "And how are you, Cass?" she asked her friend with a big smile- she liked to think of Cass as one of her besties- and she knew that they'd become even more amazing friends over the years to come. Tay picked up her goblet again, swirling the straw she had in it around and around- she hated not seeing him all the time- it was like she just expected him to be there. She sighed deeply but smiled again at Cass and Samira.

Samira allowed a smile. "Likewise." When Cassandra told Samira that she was a fellow Slytherin, the relief Samira felt was immense. She didn't quite know how to feel about people who weren't in her House and she already had one Gryffindor friend too many. "I quite like your House," she said with a grin. "I'm a Slytherin as well. First year." By now, Samira's natural confidence was back, and she spoke proudly.

Tay laughed- noticing Cass completely changing her tone towards Samira. She was glad that Cass seemed to have found a new friend in her too! Which was awesome. She noticed Samira hadn't answered her question- she didn't know if she'd heard her and so coughed slightly and tried another one.

Samira wasn't really sure what to make of this Cass girl. She seemed a bit snooty (not that Samira wasn't, but she was more of a person who is snooty to people and doesn't expect it back). But...if she was a Slytherin, and wasn't some Muggle-lover, then she was probably OK...

Samira smiled and addressed Tay. "Potions and DADA. Potions because it's not just some mindless wand-waving and foolish incantations. It takes precise care. Defense Against The Dark Arts because it gives you an excuse to hex people while dueling," Samira allowed herself a small smirk. "I don't like Herbology though. That's a subject for those with no real talent." By no real talent, Samira was referring to the duffers in Hufflepuff, but she wasn't about to insult anyone else...yet.

Oh gosh, what if she was one of those silly purebloods who knew utterly nothing about ANYTHING related to muggles? Leo FLAILED a bit, bouncing around in his seat."NOOOO! Don't waste it! At least you are eating the carriage and not the horse, right? RIGHT?"

Iris looked at the boy blankly. "Of COURSE I know how it goes. It's a fantastic fairy tale! Pssfht." He was one of those silly half bloods that assumed that EVERY single Pureblood didn't know anything about Muggles, wasn't he? Well NO. Iris wasn't like that. She LOVES Muggle things. Especially Disney things. Hehe.

As he started to flail, Iris raised her eyebrow. "Are you OK-?" Oh. Now he's telling me not to waste the drink. "I wasn't going to!" Really?! WASTE a beverage when there's starving, dehydrated people? Nuuu.

... At least it's only the carriage.

Iris snorted. "Some people do eat horse meat." She muttered quietly, as she took a sip of her puréed Cinderella Carriage.

Faelwen didn't know what to expect coming into the hall again, her first year and term had been going on for a while, but she still didn't really have any friends or anything... no, she'd resorted to studying to take up her time, keeping as far away from the other houses as possible. Sighing as she sat down, she brushed her caramel curls out of her eyes, this would be another long meal!
