Rowan entered the dorm room and looked around. Everything seemed quiet. She walked over to her bedside table and placed the lilacs her friend had given her next to the photo of her parents. She gently caressed the frame with her finger and whispered, "I love you." Even though she had a new family now, she still thought about her Mum and Dad all the time. "I miss you," she said. As she bent to remove her shoes, her hand was slapped by a large white paw, making her jump. "Panda you rascal!" She laughed as her very large black and white cat came out from under the bed purring. Rowan scooped her up, gave the cat a big hug, then placed her on the bed. "Okay," she laughed. "You got me that time." Rowan pulled her sketch pad and pencils out of her bag and sat down on the bed to draw.

"Lucky." Whispered Willow, standing behind Rowan. She looked at the cat fondly. "She's sweet. I wish I'd a cat... But I do love my mini owl Maisy too. I like your drawing...You're good at drawing."[/U]

Rowan was so focused on her drawing that she didn't hear the girl approach. "What? Oh, that's Panda and I'm Rowan. Thanks for the compliment," she smiled. "Feel free to pet Panda. She is very friendly and loves the attention. I know her size intimidates some, but she really is a pushover. And don't worry. You're owl is safe with her." She whispered to the girl, "She's too lazy to bother chasing birds."

Emily entered the girls dormitory and slumped down on her bed. She had almost forgotten that she was fully dressed when she pulled her Basic Sleeping Draft, which she had just brewed in the potions lab, out of her robe pocket.

Quickly getting changed into her black satin shorts and navy blue singlet she fluffed up her pillow, got into bed, and pulled the hangings around her. Getting underneath her thick warm quilt Emily uncorked the vial she had in her hand and took a good mouthfull of the irridescent green/purple liquid. She replaced the cork and put the vial on her night stand... then her eyes began to close.... they were hea-eav-vy...
And so she was fast asleep.

Emily woke up, refreshed from a nice long sleep. After stretching and getting changed Emily headed out the dormitory for the common room.

Emma walked up to her dormitory, she sighed as she sat down on her bed.
Her cat jumped up in her lap and she began petting him, humming softly to him.
She had to talk to Marie, and that quick.

Amy entered the dormitory and flopped on her bed. She was on her back looking up the ceiling day dreaming.

Ariana walked into the dormitory, sat on the bed, and crossed her legs. Making little "here kitty" noises, she lured her reddish-brown cat onto her lap, and began stroking her soft fur.

After a short while, Ariana picked up a large. 500-page, boring-looking book and began to read, still absent-mindedly stroking. She skimmed quickly through the pages of one chapter, and then closed The History of Wizardkind with a loud thump.

Sighing, Ariana placed her cat on top of the book, and the cat gave the book a tentative lick. Ariana giggled.
"Missy! You can't eat that" She put the book away in a drawer and then flopped down on the bed, looking around for inspiration on what to do. People were laying on beds, petting cats, boring, boring.

Oh wait! There were two people talking. One of them was drawing. Ariana loved to draw, but she never had anyone to show her pictures to. Hey! And the drawing girl had a cat! Ariana had a feeling she might like this girl...

She started listening in time to hear that the girl was Rowan, the cat was Panda, and Panda was too lazy to chase the other girl's owl. 'Well, now or never!' Ariana thought. She picked up her sketchpad, full of drawings of dragons and elves from when she thought she was a muggle, and walked over to Rowan, Panda, and Other Girl.

"Hi Rowan." Ariana spoke in a voice that was just a bit above a whisper, but it was easily audible to the two close to her. She took a deep breath and smiled. "I like your drawing. And your cat,"

Salina was lonely. Well, yeah... No other first years (or any seniors, for the matter) seemed to want to talk to her.
Salina pulled out her sketchpad and was contemplating what to draw when suddenly, her white persian kitten, Snow leapt onto her bed and curled up to sleep. Salina took a piece of charcoal from her drawer, wound a bit of wool around it, for a grip and clean fingers (sort of) and started sketching the fluffy white kitten, curled asleep on the bed. In the background, Salina noticed a girl lying on her back, daydreaming. She drew that too.

After completing the sketch, Salina walked over to the girl, from reading the name tag on her robes, she could tell that her name was Amy Reid and she looked a bit younger than her brother, so Salina guessed Fifth Year. Salina stood next to the bed, and in her melodic voice that was always just above a whisper, yet always audible (must be the veela genes) said hello.

Amy looked around to see who said Hello and noticed a girl standing next to her bed. Amy sat up and smiled at the girl and said "Hi" back.

Ellie stumbled into the dormitory and made her way to her four-poster bed, tripping over things on the way. When she reached her lovely, squishy, warm, and fantastic bed, she flopped on it and sighed dramatically. "When will this ever eeeeenndd?!" She said exasperatedly.

She brought her hands up and massaged her temples with her index and middle fingers. She was exhausted. From everything.

Salina smiled. Someone talked to her, actually talked to her! She was impossibly happy.

"I'm Salina Cassiopeia Malfoy, Veela." she said, her voice soothingly musical. "But I don't really get angry. I'm a relatively calm person."

Amy smiled back at her "My name is Amy Reid. Nice to meet you"she giggles "Don't worry I also relatively calm my self. what year are you in?"

Namitha walked to the common room.She was feeling really lonely.She was happy to see two friendly looking girls there and one of them seemed to be of nearly her age.As their beds bed was next to her's,she went and sat on her bed and decided to talk to them.Hi,I'm Namitha..fifth year..Mind if I join you?'

Emily climbed up the short flight of stairs to the dormitories... she was VERY tired, her body aching in places she didn't even know could ache!
She went to the bathroom first- showered and changed into her pj's - blue satin shorts and a black singlet, she was about to hop into bed when... "OUCH!" she trod on a hair brush... and there were clothes everywhere... books, spare bits of parchment, empty ink wells... what a mess.

Ugh!! she'd have to clear it all up!

Emily really couldn't be botherd cleaning up properly, she took out her wand and deciding that this was the perfect time to do her charms homework she practiced the banishment charm.

"Depulso", she said first aiming her wand at the collection of books that lay on her bed and floor... Concentrating on the targets they flew a few meters and landed in her open trunk. Emily repeated the process again, "Depulso", more books landed in her trunk.

Next was her clothes, she wasn't too concerned about folding them at that point, she would deal with it later.
Sleep was her first priority.
"Depulso!" she said aiming at the clothes, slowly the mess was disappearing.

"Depulso".. whoops, it hit a pair of her shoes, sending them flying across the room.... that was not her intention. She tried again.
"Depulso"... Emily banished her hairbrush to the nightstand.

Soon all her things were in order, she would need to start thinking about exams in the morning... they were so close now.
Hopping into bed, Emily turbed her light out, and soon she drifted off into a deep sleep.

Kyle sat down on the edge of her bed watching everyone packing they were all using magic - as she would herself in just a bit. Standing up, stretching she grabbed a fresh - and what seemed like a final set of robes from her trunk left and showered coming back dressed in clothes that didn't smell of grass, brooms, and flying. Yes the stink of the stressful flying final was off of her completely now and she l-o-v-e-d that.

As she walked in a shoe flew past her head. She laughed walked over tapping her wet hair with her wand the rubber band that had just barely broken was fixed again and her hair was yet again in two braids. She looked sweet, and innocent, really she did.

Then quickly opening her trunk she tapped her clothing muttering a spell she'd created all the clothing that was in there neatly folded itself and the books all tucked themselves away. Then pointing her wand at the laundry she had it was immediately clean and fresh and in the trunk. She'd just fix it later before leaving the school. If she had to that is.

Looking around at the immaculate room she smiled everyone was leaving but she was happy to have made friends that year.

Ellie was standing at the end of her bed, staring at her clothes sprawled out before her on her sheets. She should have started packing. But she didn't want to. That meant she would be one step closer to leaving; going home. And she wasn't ready to face her family yet.

Tearing her eyes away, she saw Kyle Manning finish packing and looking around the room too. "The year went by too fast." Ellie said with a sad smile.

But it was a great year. And more great years were to come.

Kyle looked up to Ellie and smiled, "Yeah it go really fast didn't it?" She agreed laughing slightly as she closed her trunk and sat on it.

"Oh you want some candy?" She asked, "I have to warn you it is what we got after the flying finals so it might not be all that great." She warned "I'd avoid the jellybeans unless you - unlike me are lucky and don't get a vomit one." She laughed it was always her luck to get the bad lot of candy but she offered anyway.

"I'm still kind of in awe how we've gotten up to 3,110 points this year and really in the last few days our house has gotten so much closer to second place." She added with a smile. Her large blue eyes twinkling happily as she looked around all she had to do now as put her pillows and bedding in the trunk and that would be done right before she had to leave. Wands really helped when packing save so much time and effort.

"You have anything interesting planned for the summer?" Kyle asked smiling she herself hadn't really had anything planned her friend Caroline had invited her to visit over the summer so that was probably the most of it - that and she'd talked to Matt about meeting up in Diagonalley to buy supplies at the end of the summer. But that was really it.

Ellie nodded and smiled, sitting down on her bed. She sighed. "It was a good year though. A lot happened... A lot changed. It was fun for me, what about you?" Ellie asked curiously. In fact the year was more than fun. It was exciting, hilarious and wonderful all at the same time.

With a laugh, Ellie raised her hands in a slight refusal. "Nah, I think I'll pass on the candy. I'm not much of a daredevil when it comes to the jellybeans." Plus, she was nervous and didn't want to eat a thing. "But thanks for the offer." She said with a smile. Kyle was always so nice and generous. She had given her a potion to heal her fingers after Amadeus had stepped on them and now she was offering candy.

"Yeah, it is kind of bizarre... But I'm not complaining." Ellie said with a chuckle. She was still surprised that they had won the Quidditch cup. It was an amazing feat.

Smiling when Kyle brought up summer, Ellie stood up and pulled her wand out to start packing. "Well I've got a lot of plans. She began, by using magic to fold all her clothes. "First I'm going home for two weeks to see my mum and brother." Which she was not thrilled about, but she didn't mention that. "Then I'm headed to New York with Alex Reed and Chandler Montague for... a long time." She said with laugh, now transporting her neatly folded clothes into her trunk. "And while I'm there, I'm meeting up with Fee Schwarzberg to go on an epic shopping trip. And somewhere between all this I'm going with Emma Malfoy to her family reunion and spending time with Tay Wattsfay at her estate." Ellie stopped talking and sighed. She laughed at herself. She was in way over her head. "I have a busy summer."

"That summer sounds like fun at least you won't be stuck doing well nothing the entire time" Kyle smiled, even though she wasn't doing nothing really herself. "Oh the school year's been great for me this year actually made loads of friends which is really, really nice and I have to say the whole muggles at Hogwarts thing was hillarious." She smile remembering just how everyone responded to the conundrum.

"I have to say it sounds like you are going to have a lot of fun in New York this summer. I'm actually heading to a small family reunion in France for a bit not looking forward to it really - but I'm actually really excited for the week I'm staying at Caronline Scott's it sounds like a lot of fun." She smiled. "That and this guy Matt and I we just barely really started talking but we plan on going to Diagonally over summer because my aunt Ali and I right near by. Its easier for her that way working at the ministry. Oooh almost forgot I'm actually interning at a small broom shop"
