"For the moment we are living there...Like I said, we're or my parents are moving right now to Oxfordshire- so I'll be living more in the countryside of the city- it's not far from England...What's your home like- besides, your ex classmates?"He said nervously and quietly.

Kurumi frowned a little at Adam's last comment, but she didn't want to go down that rode again - not when they were having fun and using sharp objects. "My home is in the countryside in the mountains. My house is surrounded by rice fields," she explained putting down her second apple and picking up her third. "We have a giant cherry tree in the courtyard and there is a river in the back where I used to play a lot." She smiled at Adam. She was beginning to miss home already and regretted, just a tad, not going home over the holidays. "My home is kind of traditional with tatami floors and rice paper walls."

"For the most part," she laughed tossing her pony-tail over her shoulder. Adam cleaned his hands first and dropped the apples onto the bowl. "There you go-honeysuckle..."He had to laugh, that last comment to her was just bad.

Adam was getting stranger and stranger with the names. She had to get back at him...but how? Her eyes danced around the kitchen until they fell on a nice aerosol can of whipped cream.

Adam stood there in disbelief. Was this the Kurumi he had met? He whipped the beard but only a little. He grabbed a sauce filled apple and smeared it all over her face, he began to laugh. "You look like a WW2 veteran...Sorry, I couldn't resist..."

She didn't know what had come over her, but she felt like stepping outside her comfort zone and goofing around. Her mother had always scolded her when she spilled even just one drop of water on the kitchen counter. Of course, any mess her and Adam made would be cleaned up.

Adam was glad , at least that Kurumi was exploring different types of feelings. He felt like she had always been the same with personality, somewhat serious and shy- she was changing now. "You're different now. When I met you, you were very shy, and somewhat serious..."

Kurumi looked at Adam's hands now holding hers gently yet firmly. "I...I don't trust people easily," she knew how silly that sounded to Adam considering they had hit it off right away, but he was the only person she had opened up that quickly to. She had just recently shared past stories with Edmond and Heather, and Katie had never got as far as asking about her family. "I'm afraid people won't accept me for whatever small being it is that I am."

Right! The cobbler! Kurumi pushed passed Adam and opened the oven. Few, not burnt. The aroma of apples and cinnamon filled the air. "Thank you for reminding me," she laughed pulling on some oven mitts and pulling the tray out of the oven. She looked at Adam's face and laughed as the whipped cream was dripping off his face.

Adam snatched a towel and whipped his face. He had just realized he had another serious conversation with her, only he was wearing Whip Cream Beard- yeah, so serious of him. But he guessed that's what she meant opening up to Adam because he was funny and random at times, and never hurt her, well he has- but not in the way of teasing her at least.

Aw, whipped cream Santa Adam was gone. Kurumi place the pan on the counter and summoned a small table and two chairs. She then took out two plates and spoons and set them on the table.

Kurumi laughed. "OK, well, maybe not brave with everything in your life...but you are very brave for coming out like you are despite your parents not supporting you," she said as she reached across their little table and took a hold of one of his hands. "We can work on the other areas together." Merlin knew that she needed to become braver too.
