A great number of floor-to-ceiling bookshelves fill the library, creating rows and aisles of books available for students to read and check out. When returning books to the higher shelves, just hold up the tome and the shelves will take care of the rest; there's a spell on the shelves which summons the returned book to the correct place. Of course, when retrieving a book, they don't 'know' what you're looking for, so those who aren't yet accomplished in the use of the Summoning Charm may use one of the sliding ladders that move around from bookcase to bookcase.

In front of each set of shelves is a small desk. Students can sit at these desks to complete homework or copy down notes and book references. Be aware that other students may need to access books above you… so mind your head.

You can find any book here that's appropriate for all school years, so browse to your heart's content.

Addy walked in and went to the very back of the bookshelves. She just browsed through books and waited for a friend to magicly pop up. She was a seer in training, so yea.... yea.... she is right.

Walking along the book shelves, her fingertips skimmed through each book as she passed. She almost bumped into someone who was clearly doing the same. Searching for a book. But eh, Ella didn't care too much for those people. They were usually dorky dweebs.
Hmm, who was this guy wearing the trendy glasses? "Jack?" She said aloud. Yes, it was Jackerrrrrrrs! D'aww, he was a cutey! But, oh. He obviously wouldn't recognize her. The hair!
"It's me, Ella. Cuute glasses." She beamed at him. He better remember her. Perhaps if she had greeted him with a prank, THEN he would remember.

Jack completely forgot he was wearing his glasses, so when a familiar voice spoke his name and he shot his head up to see some random girl stood next to him, some rather pretty girl, he might add, he smirked, and then cursed inwardly as he frantically took his glasses off. Oh, what dork. He hadn’t really thought about how she had said his name, yet he’d never met her, so how could she possibly know it? Of course, word-of-mouth was an option; people must have been talking about how awesome he is, what a great kisser he is, and how people want to be him. Jack could imagine it now...

But after stupidly dropping his glasses onto the floor and placing the book back on the shelf, Jack looked at the girl more closely. “Ella? Oh, wow.” He said without thinking, realizing he had, feeling embarrassed and then crouching down to pick up his glasses. They were such an annoyance. Jack straightened himself up and sighed. “Uhh .. yeah thanks. I don’t have to wear them all the time though!” He said rather quickly, he didn’t want everyone knowing that he had to wear glasses all the time, because that was NOT TRUE. “So Ella. You look different. It’s very nice, I might add.” A compliment here and there didn’t do any harm, he wasn’t exactly going to say it was hideous was it?

Lilyana walked down the aisles of shelves, looking for an interesting book on transfiguration. She, only being a first year, didn't know much about it, but it seemed very interesting so she wanted to read up on it. She scoured one of the lower shelves, since the ladder was currently being used. She set down her bag, which weighed what seemed to be more than her! Her dark blonde curls fell in her face and caused her to bump her head on the shelf. Ouch! she muttered under her breath. She came back up, rubbing her head, looking around to see if anyone had seen the little incident. Still she looked for an interesting transfiguration book that a first year would understand...sort of, anyways.

"Well your slythie side is not thinking right- someone should check up on your brain- something might've happened to it when you were little..."Adam said rudely. She was going to break a rule, and he didn't like that. He didn't care that she cause some trouble as long as it doesn't get you walking to the Headmasters office, that was just too much.

Why, oh why did the girl have to have a book that looked as though it was possessed by some creature whose only goal was to cause pain to its owner. Slightly repulsed, Tyler eyed the book until the pleading sound of the girl's voice snapped him out of his reverie.

"Um.." He had never seen this kind of book before. What was it doing in this library? He glanced around for a few moments in hope to see the librarian to garner her assistance, but she was nowhere to be found.

He dropped down to the floor onto his knees, taking in the shaking book who seemed to be doing quite a job of nearly throwing off the young girl. "Wait, wait, wait..." He muttered to himself. Hadn't he overheard something about this particular book?

"Oh yeah!" He exclaimed out loud as he reached forward, sneaking his hand in between one of the girl's arms to reach the spine of the book. His fingertip barely scratched it, but this seemed to make the book become even more out of control if possible. "Move your arm." He instructed the girl. He reached in again, nearly being bitten as he slid a finger along the outside spine of the book.

The book immediately ceased its movement and Tyler looked up from his perch on the floor. "What are you doing with that book?" He asked incredulously as he reached over to help her off the floor. Surely, first or second years weren't required to have this book?

Huh? Treasures? "Well, they pick everything that's metallic and shiny, not only treasures, but keys and money too" like he didn't know that. Treyen, of course, nodded, because treasures were included.

The boy then tilted his head and fought the urge to laugh. Treyen knew his real first name. Haha. He was almost going to say which one was that, but then remembered the book. Sigh. If he said 'Duncan', then the book won't be seen by Treyen until Fletcher left Hogwarts.

"Ooooookaaaaay," Fletcher drawled, staring at LiL Lockhart with one brow raised. The kid seemed real genuine, like he wanted to take care of his niffler, and Fletcher respected that. He had himself had to jump through about a hundred hoops and field a Spanish Inquisition just to go see Cupcake, after all.

He slowly lowered his hand and held the book out at a level Treyen could reach. Quickly now, boy, or Fletcher might just change his mind....

"Psssssssh ninjas," Fletcher scoffed. "They do too much girly gymnastics and stuff. Pirates are all about the gold, the firewhiskey, and the wenches." He raised his eyebrows alluringly to demonstrate his point. Savannah would make a darn good wench if you asked him.

Uh no he was a MAN and was therefore NOT cute. Cute was a term that applied to little boys, like infants and Treyen. ~~Not that Fletcher thought the younger Hufflepuff was cute, because that would be weird.~~ "Why thank you," he returned the wink with a crooked grin. "You're not so bad yourself... although I'd say you prefer being called gorgeous to handsome, am I right?"

He wink-winked to emphasize his point. "How do you know no one names their kid Sir? There's guys named Guy, for example...."

Oh, man, perhaps Treyen had been wrong about Sir Fletcher. Or maybe he was giving him the book because of the girl's presence. Hmmm.

The boy's eyes were pretty much sparkling with joy, not tears, just in case. Grinning widely he reached out for the book and....TOOK IT! Smile. "Thank you, Sir Fletcher!" he said, and now it was time to research, before being able to take care of little Phineas. Grin.

And then he...ran away. Before Fletcher changed his mind.

Ella watched with a chuckle here and there when Jack faffed around with his glasses, resulting in them falling onto the floor. Aww, bless him. When he finally looked at her, she could tell that he didn't immediately recognize her. Not surprising really, she looked way different.
'Oh wow'. Errr, was that a good reaction? Or was he thinking 'Oh wow, she was hit with the ugly stick' =S

Ella couldn't see him pulling that off. Yay, he thought her new look WAS nice. "Mhm, cheers! I just felt like a change and I quite like it now." She grinned. Jack refrained from blushing at his stumble and his glasses. He had no idea how he actually achieved it, but he did, which was awesome for him. And since she had already noticed them, he didn't bother putting them back into his pocket, since they were rather big, and didn't fit into his jeans all too well. So, he held them to his side, along with a book on Muggles.

"....cute?" Glasses were not cute. Glasses were geeky, swotty, nerdy or whatever you want to call it. They still meant the same thing, and even if Jack thought he was clever, he didn't want to look like the stereoypical smart person; all large glasses, braces and no friends. If Jack had braces, he wouldn't want to be near anyone anyway. Haha. "They're really really not. The optician guy told me they were a hit with muggles. But, not for me." Jack chuckled lightly, holding them up a little, so Ella could see the little logo of the brand on the side. He didn't see these fashionable at all, regardless of the catalogue he'd seen with more hideous people in these glasses.

"It's nice, really. It makes you look a lot brighter. You know, in appearance." He nodded, though, seeing Ella with blonde hair was a shock, considering it was so dark before hand. Jack hadn't really realized that it was quite a long time since they had met at Diagon Alley, that really was a long time! He wasn't sure what to tell her and what to not. "It's been ... good." And strange also. "I have a ... umm ... " Probably not a good thing to start with, and he thought he should have said something like 'I've made lots more friends.' or 'Life is good' - he could have just left it at that! "... a girl who is more of a friend to me?" It was better than saying girlfriend, Jack had to admit. Hehe. "And what about you?"

Hmmmm, so the point in coming to the Library was totally pointless now. She'd obviously rather talk to Jack then search through boring books. That's right, they were boring. And usually, it was just a distraction for her, to read books. OMG. Looking down at the shelves, Ella saw a spider creeping it's way along the wood. After a moment or two of spazzing, she stepped away. Holy guacamole....

Hehehe, he clearly didn't think too highly of his glasses. Bless.

She informed him, 'cause she was pretty sure that Jack wouldn't wack those out in classes. Tut tut.

Ella beamed when he said her hair looked nice. "Glad to hear that, 'cause ever since I dyed it, I get the feeling that people hate it." Obviously, her old hair looked awesome, but it wasn't working for her anymore. So other people would just have to deal with that, right?
A girl that was more than a friend? That was really random, but then it finally clicked. "You mean, you have a giiiiiiirlfriend?" Ella said with a wink. That was nothing less than what Ella expected from Jack. He was good looking, and sooooooo lovely to be around. Oh, great. Now the question was turned back around to her. "Err.. I HAD a guy who was more than a friend...." She started, "..but not anymore." She tried not to have a sad face, because she really should have gotten over it by now. It was no use, Aiden meant too much. "But apart from that, I've been alright." She smiled finally. All gravy baby.

Anna walked into a bookshelf and rubbed her forhead. Owww,"she moaned "ADELINE!" ANna squealed. Adeline didnt come. "ADELINE ANN MOREY" She yelled again. Adeline still didnt come. "DONT MAKE ME USE YOUR OTHER NAME!"Anna threatened. "YOU MADE ME! GERTRUSE!" Adeline's father originaly wanted to name her Gertruse.
