Gryffindor Common Room
The official home of the Lions, the Gryffindor common room, is found on the seventh floor of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Because the entrance to the common room is the portrait of the Fat Lady, Lions must know the password and speak it to the Fat Lady in order to get through. "Gobbledygook!"
Remember that word...and keep it a close secret, for it's the current password you'll need to speak in order for the Fat Lady to swing away from the hole and allow you entrance to Gryffindor Tower. Once you're lucky enough to crawl through, you'll find that the common room is a circular area full of squashy armchairs, tables, and a bulletin board. A window looks out onto the grounds of the school, and a large fireplace takes up one entire wall. It's the perfect place to relax and hang out after a long day of classes!
That is, unless you're in need of a nap or ready for a good night's rest. In that case, there are two doors leading off from the common room that open to spiral staircases. Boys dormitories are upstairs and to the right, while girls dormitories are upstairs and to the left.
For whatever reason you're here, make sure you take good care of your home away from home! There's bound to be a perfect, your Head of House, or maybe even a house elf lurking nearby! | |

Lexi plopped into a chair near the fireplaces even though there was no fire burning. It was force of habit really. Smiling to herself she pulled a book from her bag and began to flip through it idly. She really was looking forward to the holiday but at the same time she had had such a lovely term that she was going to miss Hogwarts while she was away.

"Oh I will indeed take lots of pictures! I can't wait. Finlay and I have been talking about seeing Greece for months now so I got my birth family to agree to taking us there on holiday," she said happily. "Hey, maybe we can meet up on Diagon Alley some time before term starts. I could show you the pictures and we can catch up," she suggested genuinely.
Sigh. "Yeah I am glad no one died this term. Or got really hurt either," she agreed whole heartedly. It was so unfortunate that such an amazing school had such a bloody history. "That sounds great!" Alice said in response to meeting up in Diagon Alley. "My dad was a bit overwhelmed with everything, so I did most of my shopping in Diagon Alley alone this year, but at least for next term I'll know some people." Alice felt bad at the situation that her dad was in. He wanted to support her, but she could tell he just didn't know how. He was a muggle after all. "So, how long have you and Finlay been dating?" Alice asked, hoping that Lexi didn't mind her asking. "You two seem very happy together."
