The official home of the Lions, the Gryffindor common room, is found on the seventh floor of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Because the entrance to the common room is the portrait of the Fat Lady, Lions must know the password and speak it to the Fat Lady in order to get through.
"Gobbledygook!"
Remember that word...and keep it a close secret, for it's the current password you'll need to speak in order for the Fat Lady to swing away from the hole and allow you entrance to Gryffindor Tower. Once you're lucky enough to crawl through, you'll find that the common room is a circular area full of squashy armchairs, tables, and a bulletin board. A window looks out onto the grounds of the school, and a large fireplace takes up one entire wall. It's the perfect place to relax and hang out after a long day of classes!
That is, unless you're in need of a nap or ready for a good night's rest. In that case, there are two doors leading off from the common room that open to spiral staircases. Boys dormitories are upstairs and to the right, while girls dormitories are upstairs and to the left.
For whatever reason you're here, make sure you take good care of your home away from home! There's bound to be a perfect, your Head of House, or maybe even a house elf lurking nearby!

Kurumi continued to essentially pet Heather's back as she listened. There were a lot of things Heather had said that didn't make sense. Why was Cass mad that Heather hadn't told her? Why would Heather be afraid to tell Cass about Emily's existence? Who was this boy Heather had mentioned? So many questions, but now was probably not the time to push Heather to answer too many. "I am sure Cass will come around," Kurumi encouraged. "She really cares about you, you know that right?"

"Well, I've heard that good things come to those who wait" Rex told Daisy. "I always knew you wanted me to be happy and I'm very very happy now with you" Rex said to Daisy. "We will always be together and I don't see us losing each other" Rex explained to Daisy.
"Yes I would love tickets to a Puddlemore game and then you could take your best friend, boyfriend, whatever with you and I could take Daisy with me" Rex told Lilyana. "Yes Daisy is my girlfriend" Rex said to her. "I'm all over the lake and I swim in the lake" Rex explained to Lilyana. "Well, thank you for saying my smile isn't bad either, and I do mean when I say your smile is nice" Rex smiled at Lilyana.
"Jacqueline, how are you?" Rex asked her. "I haven't seen you in a while. So what have you been up to?" Rex asked Jacqueline.
"And I waited a mighty long time for you," Daisy said laughing."Well good, because I don't want us to lose each other." Daisy rubbed her eyes and gave a little yawn. "Goodness me. I've never felt so sleepy."

Cam grinned at the girl. "Mind? No. Sit, sit. So.. I didn't say hello at the feast.." She said, feeling like she'd missed someone. She'd tried hard to meet everyone, but that had been near impossible. "So, what classes do you like the best so far?"

Witsy took a seat and tapped her hands to her knees. "Well, so far I like Defense Against the Dark Arts. I like the interaction and the hands on. I haven't gone to Potions yet and I'm not quite sure how I feel about the Professor but I like putting things together, so I do hope I like that class. How about you?" Witsy leaned forward to lift her bag down by her feet. She pulled out an apple with a baggie of caramel. She sat back leaning into the soft cushion. "Would you like some, I love caramel!"

Lilyana smiled. Well then, its settled. I'll owl my father tonight and see what he says about it. But I don't have a boyfriend. My parents think I'm too young, you see. They're always saying 'your too young and too good for all those Hogwarts boys!' and things like that. I usually block out those conversations. But there is a boy back in my neighborhood that I sort of have my eye on. His name is Andrew. He's a muggle though, so I have to be careful around him, ya know? But I'm sure Daisy is a great girl if you caught her! Lilyana said to Rex with a small laugh. She did miss Andrew, the muggle boy she was talking about. He was a year older, but she still liked him. They seemed to have a lot in common with each other, besides that fact that she was a witch and he was a muggle of course. I've never swam in the lake before! I'm too nervous about the giant squid! But I'm always paranoid about something. I get it from my mother, I think. She chuckled thinking back to all the times her mother overreacted about her doing things. All the paranoia drove Lilyana crazy! Well, thank you. My mother always takes me to the dentist, making sure I'll have good teeth. I'm glad though!
Heather opened her eyes in a slow manner and looked at the person who owned the warm and concerned voice that had approached her. She weakly smiled as well, a gesture she had given acknowledging the concern of the other girl, though her cheeks flushed red that she had attracted attention and worried someone she had not yet met.
"oh..u-hm..." she started to stutter owing the fact that she as quite shy in meeting new people. "h-hi...er...i-i'm so-sorry i b-bothered you..." she said and sat up straight from her slouched position on the chair. She hoped that the girl had not noticed how swollen her eyes were from crying earlier. "n-no...i don't want you to go away...uhm...it might be rude of me to send someone who was just concerned away...a-and...thanks....for asking..." she blushed even redder she looked as if she had a fever. "I-i'm Heather. N-nice meeting you, Lilyana." she gave the girl a smile, perhaps an awkward smile but it didn't matter. Heather had met a new friend, maybe in an awkward time, but it sure was nice there was someone she had never met that was kind and caring and she will be friends with.
Lilyana hadn't meant to freak her out. She just hated when something was wrong with her and no one seemed to care. Oh, you're not bothering me at all! I just don't want you to be upset! It's really hard to bother me, I'm pretty tolerant anyways. Lilyana said, hoping to lighten the conversation a bit, and smiled. Well, it's alright if you don't want to talk about it, since we hardly know each other. But it's very nice to meet you, Heather. Even if it is in a semi-awkward situation, being truthful. But...no worries, awkward situations follow me everywhere I go unfortunately. I always seem to say the wrong things and then I get flustered and my face gets all red. I just hate it. And I ramble, as I'm doing now. Lilyana blushed a bit when she realized that. Heather probably thought she was a crazy now!So, is it a boy thats caused this madness? I do have a brother, I can take a fight with a boy if I need to! Lilyana laughed. Hopefully she was making her new friend feel a little bit better.

"well..." Heather hesitated for a moment, but she was really willing to share it to kurumi, to shed some light to her why Cass really really hates this guy. "his name's Edward Enticeler. He's a year younger than me and Cass, but he insists i'm just a few months older than he is. I met him on a playground when his mom and my mom hung out.
"he's not generally a nice boy, but he's well-bred...expected from a pureblood family, i can tell...and Cass doesn't like him so much because...i really don't know. those two don't get along really well. Must be a clash of personality or something. when they first met, they were already arguing the next minute. Cass keeps me away from him when the families come together for a meet. He's like a leech and all he does is follow me around and tease me a lot and even criticizes a lot of things about me including my height because he's a head taller than i am. He's also adept in pulling pranks, the scary ones mostly at Cass, but Cass doesn't react beyond scared when he pulls a prank on her." Heather pouted. "like i said he's not generally a nice boy...he bullies me but on our last meet, he was sort of not his self and even checked up on how i was. Cass was really suspicious, and up until now, she won't tell me what she found out about him. I'm really curious." heather looked at Kurumi.
"was i a little unclear explaining things kurumi?" she asked anxiously, seeing that kurumi donned the face of a cute confused puppy.

Well, I hope you got everything sorted out with her. I'm sure she appreciates your honesty a lot. Honesty is really important, os its a good thing you have it! Lilyana smiled and chuckled. Your welcome. It's my official duty to cheer people up! Just call me the cheerer...upper. Wow I sure think of dumb names! She stood up, puffed out her chest and saluted yelling out I am the cheerer upper! She sat back down, laghing really hard. She looked at Heather and said, Sorry, I'm probably embarrassing you. I'll stop now before I get any more dweebish! She stuck out her tongue, and pretended to shove it in her mouth and zipped it up.

Lilyana smiled at Rex. Well, thanks for the advice. Very wise of you, I think. Lilyana's mouth dropped open. Your muggleborn!? You don't even act like it! I would have never known! But it's prefectly fine with me! I like all people! I'm a half-blood. My dad is a wizard, and my mother is a muggle. And Andrew is a muggle, too. He just lives near me and a couple other wizarding families. I think he might have a hunch that I'm a witch though, just from things he has said. But I think he's alright with it as far as I'm concerned. Well, I hope he is anyways! Sorry if I confused you talking. I tend to talk a bit fast compared to most people's speaking habits. Lilyana laughed, flashing her pearly white teeth. Well, I hope to convince them to let me go less often. You only are supposed to go back every 6 months anyways, so hopefully they'll follow that now!

Riley had been sprawled out on the Common Room floor, his books, quills, and parchment in the position to do homework. Before he had started some student walked through the portrait hole, past where he was laying, and up into the dorms. This wouldn't have been a problem if they hadn't tracked snow all over the threadbare rug Riley was laying on. Gross and cold!
Finally Riley had moved all of his things and set them up by a snow covered window. He tried once again to understand what his Charms book was trying to say. *sigggh*
Riley had been sprawled out on the Common Room floor, his books, quills, and parchment in the position to do homework. Before he had started some student walked through the portrait hole, past where he was laying, and up into the dorms. This wouldn't have been a problem if they hadn't tracked snow all over the threadbare rug Riley was laying on. Gross and cold!

Lexi crawled through the portrait hole and immdeiately spotted Riley. SMiling a bit she walked over and plopped herself down next to him. "You know... staring at that book isn't going to make you understand anything any better. Need a study partner?" she said with a giggle. Hmmm Riley was still as cute as ever... too bad she was taken now. A little harmless flirtation never hurt anyone though. *Smile*
Lexi crawled through the portrait hole and immdeiately spotted Riley. SMiling a bit she walked over and plopped herself down next to him. Staring at the same sentance for at least a good 3 minutes was making his eyes go crossed, not a good feeling! Hearing the portrait open and then the chair next to him pull out he was excited to find someone normal had joined him. It was Lexi, the girl he kind of thought was going to be...hanging out with him alot. She was cute and in his house unlike her..friend now. But anyways....
"Hey Lexi." he slammed the Charms book thankfully and turned his grey eyes on her and smiled. Quickly the smile sunk again. "Yeah I know, I am just not smart-like, you know?" he said sadly, he liked points but he was never going to get any at this pace. "You want to help me?" he perked up a bit. Well at least he would have something better to look at than the stupid not-making sense words.

She leaned over a bit closer so she could see when he opened the book back up. "Oh and I find that I retain the information moreso and with greater ease if I study in intervals and reward myself," she said quietly so as not to give her secret away to anyone else. Smiling at Riley she blinked a few times as she waited for him to tell her the problem.
"Hi Jacqueline nice to see you, too" Rex told her. "You've been busy studying and I've busy studying, what a combination" Rex laughed. "Well, I missed you too and I'm happy to sit down next to you" Rex said to Jacqueline.
"Well, the wait is over" Rex told Daisy. "You're right, we won't lose each other" Rex said to Daisy. "Well, come and put your head on my arms and you can sleep in my arms" Rex smiled at Daisy.
"Well Andrew, that sounds like a mighty fine boy for you" Rex told Lilyana. "You don't worry about what your parents say, it's true love that counts" Rex said to Lilyana. "By the way, do you know that I'm a muggle too" Rex asked Lilyana. "And no more trips to the dentist if I was one of your parents" Rex laughed. "So is Andrew in Hogwarts" Rex asked Lilyana.
"I don't want to sleep when I can spend time with you," Daisy said snuggling into his arms. "Maybe we could just talk. About whatever you want to talk about."

Alice came running into the common room, trying to hide her excitement from any suspecting eyes that might wonder why she was so excited. Alice knew that Rubiey was in here somewhere, so she started to look around.

Rubiey had been sitting quietly in the corner of the common room, nose buried in a book, when she heard someone run it. Looking up, she saw it was Alice, looking very happy about something. "Alice!" Rubiey shouted, beckoning her over. WHAT was she so excited about?

Spotting Rubiey in the corner of the room Alice quickly went over, plopping down in a seat across from her.
"So I got the bit of hair for our potion," Alice said with a smile, discreetly pulling the bag with the hair out of her pocket and handing it to Rubiey. "So I figure all we need is a teapot and a burner, a couple of cotton balls, and the stuff in that concoction which is orange juice, peppermint sticks, and herbal tea if I am remembering correctly. I suppose we could get some orange juice from the great hall. I'm not sure about the tea and peppermint sticks though," Alice said with furrowed brows.

Lexi's smiling and offering to help him was definately a good thing and made Riley want to do well. But he was just not good at Charms apparently. "Well see I am trying to study these spells for Charms class but I either can't remember the incantation or when I do remember it, I am unable to perform the spell correctly." the fifth year sighed and dropped his quill on the table and squuezed his hands onto his forehead.
Then Riley heard a good word out of all of the studying mess. "Treats? What kind of treats?" he asked excitedly lifting his head from his hands.
