Looking into Jimmy's eyes and then seeing that cute smile of his Marie felt like she was going to melt right there on the dance floor. Why was this boy having this effect on her?

She sucked in a breath when he leaned towards her and then... twirled her. Yeah, she totally was not expecting that. Good thing she had excellent balance unlike when she was in the tree house with Salander or she may have fallen on her bum. That would not have been a pretty sight.

"Yeah, I'm sure we could." She knew she didn't need any real music to dance with him. She wrapped both her arms around him and continued to follow his lead when he pulled her close. Being so close to him she could feel his heart beating. Hmm, his seemed to be going just as fast as hers was. Did this mean she was having the same effect on him that he was having on her? She sure hoped so.

BlinkBlink! It seemed Kimber wanted to get away from Fletcher and fast. After a quick glance down to where she had grabbed his hand, Jeremy couldn't help but grin at the librarian for a moment before turning back to Fletcher. What was he supposed to say? "Well, I think the 'queen' has decided." And with that and a last smile at the Hufflepuff he led Kimber away from him.

At a safe distance, out of earshot from Fletcher, Jeremy stopped to look at Kimber, an amused smile playing around his lips. "So, I was right assuming you wanted to be...rescued?" His hazel eyes flickered towards the champion again to undermine his point.

Rubiey shrugged. "I don't mind them. Except the dancing. I'm the worst dancer EVER." She said laughing. It was true. 'Awful' didn't cover it with her.

"Of COURSE I want to come! It's going to be so much FUN! I'd love to see Germany!" She was very excited now. It would give her a chance to see the rest of the world. Even at 12, she wanted to travel. Typical Rubiey.

Rubiey looked around to see if she could spy Edmond anywhere, but failed epically. For one, she was smaller than pretty much EVERYONE here, so even on her tippy-toes she couldn't see past many peoples shoulders. In addition to her height impairment, she had another problem. "What's he wearing?" She asked. They were at a costume ball. How was she supposed to find Edmond if she didn't have a clue what he looked like. She glanced ruefully at Fee. "Did you make him dress up as a Prince? Or a knight?" She asked with a giggle.

"Why would Kellen be jealous?" Surely he would see why Raiden had suggested such a thing. Kellen wasn't stupid. Plus, he was Neptune's date, he'd already seen this... costume. "That's nice. That he asked you. I'm glad you're here together."

Because Kellen could be trusted not to be a terrible human being.

Kellen didn't get jealous. Kellen got intellectual.

Giggle. The banana. Neptune hadn't noticed a cow.... she started scanning for it though. But then she noticed STUPID and STUPIDER spinning and being EW and decided she didn't need to see a cow after all. A cow was a seriously undignified costume anyway.

"No. No, I prefer you, thanks," though the look of disgust on her face probably didn't help in convincing him. The look wasn't for poor Raaaaaiden though. Not this time, anyway. She pressed her forehead to his chest, had a little mini stationary fit, then was better. Better.

Sigh. Better.


"He'd be jealous because I was wearing YOUR coat and not his. Don't you KNOW how terribly romantic that is?" Boys were so dumb. So so so so dumb. "And... well.. you know. You know why I want to make him jealous." Giggle. Why did anyone want to make someone jealous?

Hehe. "I won't let you fall." Jimmy pointed out, watching her expression when he twirled her. He truly wouldn't. He had quick reflexes and he was being particularly attentive anyway.

"So. I heard that Hogwarts was supposed to be dangerous and all, but really, it doesn't seem like all that much went on this year." Jimmy Wilkes, good luck charm. Wink. No charge.

"I mean, don't get me wrong, I'm, you know, a huge fan of safety or whatever, but aside from meeting you, its been pretty... mundane." Everything else was kinda whatever really. Not that he regretted coming here, just.... he'd had expectations, dammit.

It felt nice dancing with Marie though. Aside from the obvious awesome part about dancing with a gorgeous blonde, it also felt kind of natural. He relaxed and grinned down at her. Hehe. Her hair was epic and boofy. He kind of wanted to mess with it.

Rex is dressed as Fred Astaire.
" I think I know you" Rex told the pirate girl. " Hi Rubiey" Rex said to her. "So whare have you been lately?' Rex asked Rubiey. " You are not into dancing if I remember" Rex told Rubiey. " Well, wish you liked to dance because I would like to have a dance with you" Rex explained to Rubiey.

" Sorry about the drama" Rex told Emma. " The Fair Maiden of Slytherin" should have not seen "The Knight of Gryffindor" act dumb" Rex said to Emma. " Thanks for the picure" fake"sis" Rex smiled. " You still owe me a dance" Rex explained to Emma.

" You are really special to me, too" Rex told Daisy. " Yes, you chose me and I will not bring up Carson anymore" Rex said to Daisy. " Well, i am sorry you had to wait so long to date me" Rex expalined to Daisy.

Rex is drssed as Fred Astaire. " Hello Miss Eskimo" Rex told Keeley. " I do get a dance with you, right?' Rex asked Keeley.

Rex looks like Fred Astaire. "Well,are you going to dance with Fred Astaire?' Rex asked Fee. " Nice to see you here' Rex told Fee.

"Yeah well, I would never want to see you hurt." Daisy laughed at Rex and said, "Yeah well apology accepted." She looked around. "Anyone else you want to dance with?" She was planning on her hiding plan while Rex danced with his other friends because she didn't want to go through another dramatic scene again.

"That's good cuz I'm trusting you not to let me fall." Marie never thought Jimmy would let her fall, she just didn't trust herself.

"Well, you just happen to catch us on a good year. No one kidnapping or trying to kill the students." Now if he would have been here two terms ago then he would have seen lots of danger. Yeah, she did her fair share of dueling that year.

Did he just say things at Hogwarts was mundane? As in common; ordinary; unimaginative. Okay, other than the tournament, which held no tragedies, things were really quiet this term. Which really was different. "Really, things aren't normally this quiet around here. I still keep expecting something to happen. I mean we aren't on the train home yet." Around here you really didn't need much time for some tragedy to occur. Wait, did he just pretty much say everything but her had been mundane? 'So you don't think I'm common, ordinary or unimaginative?" She asked looking up to him with a sheepish little grin.

Feeling Jimmy relax a bit Marie let herself relax too. Her heart wasn't racing as fast and she actually felt like this was where she belonged... in his arms. Looking at his lips she gave him a little kiss. "Thanks for asking me to be your date tonight." She then rested her head on his shoulder. Yeah, she was almost as tall as him for now, what with those killer looking heels she had on.

Instead of answering, Jimmy just tightened his grip on her. Hehe. No falling. If she really insisted on it, she'd probably pull him down too since he was holding on to her so closely and all.

"All good things." Though, he'd heard it was only Hufflepuffs who tended to do that dying thing, and he only knew a handful of those. "Survival of the fittest around here, huh?" Grin. She was SO the fittest. Completely fit. Rawr.

"Yeah its just that Neptune's mum kind of went on and on about how dangerous it was here and whatever. Maybe I was kind of looking forward to it a bit. What do you reckon, you think I'd do alright in a spot of danger?" He wouldn't mind rescuing a pretty girl like Marie and all. James waggled his eyebrows at her, joking about.

"I'm glad I did. I'm having a good time." Jimmy answered honestly, after taking a brief moment to recover from that little kiss. He was being SUCH a gentleman, not eating her face off right there. "Enough of a good time that I wouldn't mind doing it again. Spending more time with you and all."

" Well, neither of us will be hurt " Rex told Daisy. " thanks for aceepting my apology" Rex said to Daisy. " No other girls I want to dance here except my half-sister Victoria" Rex explained to Daisy. " my other partners are Daisy, " The Lady of Gryffindor", Heather's cousin and Miss Rhoades" Rex smiled.

What had just happened to Neptune's face.

The expression was almost that of someone who had discovered they'd stepped in hippogriff dung. Perhaps a bit less intense, but... as he was pretty sure she hadn't done that, he hadn't the foggiest idea why he was seeing this face.

Surely he hadn't said anything to coax such a look.

When her face pressed against his front, he raised one hand automatically and gently patted the back of her head. Also on his list of things he had no clue the genesis of, the little moment of frustrated Neptune quickly petered off, and he found himself frowning a bit.

"You alright?" She seemed a little moreso, after that. Maybe he was better off not knowing what sge was thinking.

The girl did think silly things.

"You do realise who I am, right? I doubt Stern would be terribly put out if it were my jacket." Why would he be? Especially since most people knew that Raiden would offer nearly anything to his friends.

The latter comment took far longer to decipher.

"You..." Huh. While he couldn't say it was 'unexpected', it was certainly not something he'd really spent a lot of time thinking about or considering. To his mind, Neptune was still very much that young little thing who claimed boys without a moment's hesitation. "You know you don't have to try and make him jealous, right? You could just... tell him you like him and want his attention."

As romantic as 'making him jealous' apparently was... Raiden found jealousy to be a bit terrifying. Heh.

Finlay smiled at her, pulling her into a little hug in the middle of the dance, before carrying on rocking a little bit. He didn't exactly feel like dancing too much tonight, he didnt want to get tired. She looked like she was thinking a lot though. That did worry him a little bit.

"Sickle for your thoughts?" He asked with a little grin. Would she tell him? Because he knew someones she liked to keep stuff to herself.

Lexi returned his hug and then smiled up at him. Giving a gallic shrug she said, "Wouldn't want toruin the fun, babe. We can talk later." She did want to talk but not here while they were trying to enjoy the dance. Term would end soon and then they would have all summer to talk about things.

Finn rubbed her arm gently, still smiling at her. That did kind of worry him, but they'd talk about it later. "Okay." He leaned forward kissing her head. Actually he was a bit bored of dancing now to be honest. "Wanna go get some food?" He asked, glancing around at the food table. Yeah. He was hungry haha.

"As am I," she agreed with a small smile. Ever since they had arrived at Hogwarts, they hadn't seen much of each other. What with the tournament, and...other activities. As much as she was sure she would have enjoyed herself with whatever hot guy had stolen her, she would have been disappointed if she hadn't been able to spend anytime with him tonight.

Who knows if Nikolai would have even stolen her back if someone had got to her before he had. Not that she didn't doubt he would have fought for her if that's what it came down to. But Nikolai was more of a lover than a fighter. Heh.

Her lips twitched as she finished modeling her dress for him, knowing that he would have said that about any outfit she wore, but loving the complement all the same. Simultaneously she moved closer to him while taking his hand, placing the other on his shoulder. Of course she wanted and loved to dance. Though she that he didn't dance well. Wasn't going to stop her from dancing with him. She'd done it before, she could do it again.

Sandra allowed him to lead as the music began, his choice obviously as it wasn't a very fast paced song. "Ve vill be leaving soon...." She wouldn't be returning home though, not like she had done the previous summers. Her eyes drifted from his briefly to glance at the castle. Hm. "Didn't think I vould be spending my last term here." Her tone hinted the slight disappointment of it not being spent at Durmstrang. Only Nikolai would have caught it.

She let her eyes return to Nikolai's. "Don't think I regret it though."

Lexi smiled up at him when he kissed her forehead and said, "Food would be great, actually. Let's go. Then we can sit for while if you want." Meaning she wanted to sit down. She wasn't sure why she felt so isolated lately, but she did. After the confrontation with Rex in the waiting area for Professor Carlton she felt like she needed to be a better Gryffindor. Sigh. And her mood swings made her feel like she needed to be a better girlfriend to Finlay.

When Kimber caught Jeremy's grin, she narrowed her eyes at him in a look that said, 'Less smiling; more running away!' "Yes. Yes she has," she said, pushing Jeremy onward, without a backward glance.

Once they were tucked further into the crowd, Kimber exhaled and finally looked up. "Don't be smug," she chastised, correcting her posture to resume proper dance form. "Just dance with me and let me forget that awkwardness," she whispered, blushing wildly.

Once again, Katie's eyebrows raised in a curious manner, as if Legend had just said something.. odd, or she worried for his sanity. Which he had, and she always did - but that was nothing new. The Hufflepuff always concerned herself with the well being of her boys. "Regina and Savannah are moms too," the girl reminded him, giving him a funny look. Given, Emmy was THE mom of the bunch. Why? She just.. was. She always had been. Emmy was the eldest, the first to become a mom and she had the most children. Whereas Regigi had three, and Vanna was still fairly new to motherhood with Hayley. "But she's more like our mom. She's not, because we DID go to her last summer when you injured your hand and she didn't tell, but Emmy's older and wiser and I don't want to hear any older motherly wisdom." No, Katie didn't want any.. wisdom, Katie wanted to know how to get RID of the stupid feelings. She didn't want them, and knowing Emmy the woman would tell her something like 'it's part of growing up,' and how there's nothing she could do to rid of the vicious butterflies and uncomfortable, awkwardness that she felt for liking.. HIM. She didn't want to hear that, truth or not. Katie wanted a solution, pure and simple.

"Reggie is.. sometimes. And Savannah would be the perfect option, if she didn't know too much and she does. I don't want.. everyone to know, and she has her work and Curt and the baby, she's busy. I don't need to bother her with something that doesn't even matter." Katie murmured the last part, quite determined that she was right and going to any one of her older sisters, Madi especially, would be useless to her. Savannah was far too close to Alexis, and if Alexis knew - well, that wasn't going to happen. A small laugh escaped the fifth year as the Gryffindor realized why Madi was out of the question, "Yeah, I could see why. Miguel... no, that's just a really bad idea. Madi is his female equal in that way, maybe a bit nicer, but still somewhere on the same level." Madi wasn't that awful, she and Katie just.. didn't see eye to eye very often, or.. ever. But that was okay.

Dark eyes glancing around at the others, twirling and dancing and chatting and just enjoying themsleves, while.. Legend pestered her. Her dark brown eyes shifted, narrowing on the boy a tiny bit as he suggested she purposely let him know she liked someone. Did she LOOK that stupid? Oh, if only he knew. If he knew, he wouldn't be saying that at all. Making a face, her smile faded a bit and she pressed her lips together, collecting her thoughts before speaking carefully, "I think you're thinking too much into my intentions, and you might want to start back pedelling. This is me we're talking about, remember? If I had wanted you to know, I would have told you straight out." her voice soft but very serious. If she had wanted him to know, she would have made that happen. Katie was nothing if not blunt. She'd merely thought that.. well, Legend was a boy! Boys weren't suppose to catch on to these things THAT easily! What was the world coming to?!

He would and would do it with a smile? As the boy's grin grew wider, the corners of Katie's mouth twitched upward as she tried to supress a laugh. As much as she didn't like this topic, and she shouldn't find it funny, it was a bit. THAT was classic Legend for you. "You will not," Katie repeated firmly, though quietly. Should she add that he would get hexed if and when he did? And that it wasn't fair to drag the other boys into it? "Oh yes, that's exactily what you boys would do. I'm sooo sure." Rolling her eyes, the Hufflepuff smiled a little bit. As soon as the smile came, it was gone again when he continued to press about who the boy was. He was really going to make this hard on her, wasn't he? "No one. I can't tell you that."

Marie may have kissed Jimmy on the neck... just a little, when he tightened his grip on her. After all she was pretty close to him, and he did smell awesome, how could she not kiss him.

"Well her mum wasn't entirely wrong. There have been plenty of dangers around here, we've just been lucky the past two terms and nothing too out of the ordinary has happened." She looked him up and down then smirked at his goofy little look. "Oh I think you'd do just fine in a spot of danger." She had a feeling that she would feel safe with him around in a dangerous situation. Not that she wouldn't try taking care of herself, but she would let him save her if needed.

She felt her heart speed up just a little again when he said he was having a good time with her. Of course he would be having a good time with her, she was a fun person to be around. If he was lucky maybe later she would show him just how fun she could be. "I'm having a good time too." Well more like a great time but she wouldn't tell him that just yet. "I'd like that a lot." Spending time with him had been the best part of the term for her by far so of course she would want to spend even more time with him. "So how'd you learn to dance so good?" Not that they were actually doing a whole lot of dancing right now. More like just holding each other and moving around a bit, which was fine with her.

"Well," Daisy said, "If you want I'll go and hide somewhere while the two of you dance?" She could hide anywhere and everywhere.

"Well, if you want to hide when I dance with those girls, that is yoru business" Rex told Daisy. " I do not mind if you dance with any boy here as long as I get the last dance" Rex explained to Daisy. "Are you going to hide when I dance with " The Lady of Gryffindor", Heather's cousin next and finally a " Miss Rhoades?" Rex asked Daisy. Rex laughed.

Emma nodded and smirked. "Yes.. the drama mama.. Phew.. Wow that was a close one." she added, before snapping another photo. She laughed. Drama Mama.. "I'll keep an eye out for him." she promised. She smiled at Rex and shrugged. "Hey it's okay. Well Knight of Gryffindor did not act dumb at all." she exclaimed. "Your welcome!" she said as she snapped a photo. Teehee xx She enjoyed this too much. She smiled. "Yes! Well I believe you owe me one too! So after you finish dancing with Daisy of course!"

Neptune took a deeeeeeeeeeeeeeep breath, then let it out slowly. "I told you. I'm fine." To drive home the point, Neptune put on a smile JUST for Raiden and WINKED at him. She was fine. Mostly.

"And, I think he knows? Or maybe I'm trying to decide? I thought I knew but then things went ... bad ... but then they got better. Kellen makes everything better. He is .... GIGGLE... I'm glad he asked, too."

In fact, where WAS HE? "Did you bring a date?" Probably not, since he had a girlfriend....? Hmm.

Ohh yeah that was true! The Gryffindor chuckled. "I forgot about that!" Reg just didnt seem like the mom TYPE and Savannah...well...she had been just Savannah his whole life, not Savannah the mom. It seemed like they weren't the only ones growing up; the whole world was as well. Maybe that made everything just a bit better? "Yeah...and I guess that's sort of different isn't it? I mean...it had to do with a hurt hand. And anyone can hurt their hand." Not everyone was stupid enough to punch a wall buuut he would leave that part out. If Katie wanted to hear older mother advice she would just got to her mom. So that was another sister strikeout.

Legend blinked, his green eyes shone with confusion. What did having a baby and being married have anything to do with it? "How does...she know too much if she doesn't know you like someone?" If anything that confused him the most. Why would knowing too much be bad? And didn't Vannah know NOTHING?

"Madi never really seemed that evil to me." Maybe he had just over looked it because Madi was older.

Wait...that was true....if she wanted to tell him. The fifth years eyes widened then he opened his mouth. If he was right about this then- no it was stupid. He was wrong. "Katie...you're making it sound like..." He trailed off unable to finish the sentence, because if he said the wrong thing surely she would attack him. Which actually wouldn't be too bad but...it would upset her.

He cleared his throat trying to get the thought out of his head. "I so will! And we WILL plan to help! I'll make sure that it's the one time we don't teast you." Repeat. ONE time. And then the thought came back. She wouldn't tell him the name. Then it was simple. "Katie, you're making it sound like...there is no crush. Like...you're trying to trick me or something." He frowned, eyes full of sadness. If that were true then she had basically toyed with him while he was actually being caring. While he actually wanted to help. That wasn't cool.

Right. She was fine. She'd shoved her face into his chest because she was fine. Clearly. But, because it was Neptune, he didn't push it, instead just nodding and allowing her to lie. If he kept nudging about it, she'd likely get all annoyed, and then she'd have another angry fit and tell him she hated him or something, and really, that wasn't how he wanted to leave Hogwarts. It would be significantly more difficult to track her down if he wanted to, when he wasn't here.

"'Things went bad'?" With Stern? How could things go bad with Neptune and Stern? He wasn't as likely to lay down and take things as Raiden was, but surely there were very few ways that he'd annoy her to the point of things going 'bad'. It had taken Raiden getting a girlfriend for things to get weird between Neptune and him... "Well at least things are better now, then."

Couldn't have Stern disowning Neptune. Raiden wouldn't be here next term to make sure she was 'entertained'. As it was this term, he'd not been around her at all.

"I have, actually... Nia. Your prefect." He glanced around, wondering where exactly she'd gotten to. "She's an angel tonight. All in white, with the wings and everything."

They were a good contrast, tonight.
