Professors 'partying'? Weird!

This was too much for Ellie. She took some more yummies and some butterbeer (Which in her opinion counts as a yummie). Who to talk to? Who to talk to? Definitely NOT professors....

She searched around the common room for a friend she knew, or a friend she was about to meet.

"Oh!" Kel exclaimed, nodding excitedly. "I have heard of that place!" Wasn't that where Deliliah went to school? Or was that Beauxbatons? He knew it was some place...but he was pretty sure she went to an all girls school, so it was probably Salem.

"Is Salem all girls?" he asked, wanting to prove himself right.



Something in the room caught Kel's eye, and he looked over. Whoa. Professors? Partying professors?

Weird. Kind of...interesting.

He looked at them curiously for a minute. He recognized Vindictus, but he didn't know the lady professor. Was she one of the new ones this term? Wonder what she teaches. Kel thought absentmindedy, looking away from the adults, back to Abby.

Ohhhh snaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaap.


.... was the sound Lainey's back made as it cracked from the epic!startle she had.

She thought about pointing out how one couldn't be "Ol", as in OLD, and a girl at the same time. But that'd not really be loosening up Ravenclaws. Quite the opposite, in fact.

And a completely moot point anyways, 'cause everyone knew Lainey acted a total fool around that fine piece of manmeat known as Maximus Vindictus.


Lainey craned her neck, trying to stand tall. "Hiiieeey..... there, Max. Hi. I hope you didn't have my dancing in mind."

Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat?

"are you lost?" Adam teased, as he walked up to Ellie and giggled

"Adam!" Ellie exclaimed. She hugged her seemingly only guy friend. Who knows where JP got to...

"I do feel lost, I can't find anyone to talk to!" Then she added, "Well, before now I mean." she giggled.

Pahaha.

Abby grinned as she heard the interactions between the two professors.

The teachers here were awesome.

He was asking if Salem was all girls. Eurgh.

Eh. It wasn't that she didn't like the fact that it was all girls. Actually, IT ROCKED. Most of the time. Other times, she just wanted to smack some of the girls in the face. Oh the drama of teenage girls.

"Yup, it is!" she answered.

Adam chuckled and led Ellie to a seat. "well aren't you glad to see me. Well I mean who isn't" he joked and laughed "so what have you been up to, Ellie?" he asked with a smile

"I thought so." he answered, pleased. "I know someone who, I think, goes to school there." Not that he was glad he knew her, but...whatever.

"How was it?" he asked, not knowing what else to ask. "Did you like it?" he realized that she'd probably been getting questions like that a lot, but he mentally shrugged it off. Oh well. She'd answer if she wanted.

Ellie laughed and followed Adam to sit down.

"Oh, just around. Meeting new people, and exploring." she said casually, with an 'enough of me, what about you' air. "What have you been doing?" she asked, curiously.

"Dancing, singing, or just laughing and having a good time!" he exclaimed and leaned on her shoulder. Geez, she was short. "Look at them - trying to act all prim and proper. PARTY means to have fun and not talk about SCHOOL."

Hehehe.

"Any ideas for kiddie fun?"

"same. Meeting people and trying to keep up with school" he said with a giggle "how is everyone treating you?" he asked

"Everybody's really nice." she said, "I've met mostly other first years, though, so I guess we're all in the same boat. But the few older students were nice too." She thought of the boy in the incident and wondered whether that was something important enough to tell Adam, or if she should save that kid from further embarrassment and keep it to herself. There were enough witnesses as it was...

"that's great. You're an easy person to get along with, since your friendly and all" Adam said as he smiled

"Maybe they need a good role model to show them the light, Max. Go forth," she gestured, trying to remove herself from his arm - deciding it was actually quite nice there - so the whole movement was just awkward. "Show them... Limbo?"


Again, what?

Ellie smiled back at him. Aw, shucks.

"You're friendly too! It takes two to tango.. or have a conversation.." she giggled, that was awkward. "You should meet them. They're great. Very layed-back. They're all in Hufflepuff, though." she said. It was hard to stay updated with everything happening in their world when they were in seperate houses.

Adam chuckled "you're adorable" he said as he winked at her and giggled "so are you gonna try out for Quidditch?" he asked,trying to keep the conversation going

Becca was having a perfectly lovely time with her new friend Theo. They were speaking of exciting and fascinating topics such as yummy food and sports. It was actually going well! And she was in good company for Cela and Mariel were nearby.

Of course Lainey had to come in and send her emotions plummeting to the floor.

"Um..." Becca looked at Theo, her face red with shame and disappointment. "I'm... gonna go... now. Yeah. That's probably a good idea." But before she made her run for the dormitory, Becca made a quick detour around the room to Cela, who she gave a tight hug to make herself feel better, then made a beeline for the stairs.

Yep. She was a coward.

Ellie almost blushed. Almost. She had no reason to blush though, right? Why would she blush? Well...

"Oh definitely! All positions. Are you?" she asked. Her favorite subject had come up, yay! She then realized that she had never found out whether Adam was new to the wizard world or not.. Oh, well. What did it matter? They were talking QUIDDITCH!

Cela had gotten distracted. By blue frosting. Which had ended up on her nose. She knew there were several people talking to her or waiting on answers to questions and stuff, but there she was trying to get the frosting off her nose.

With her tongue.

And then she got hugs? Cela peered at Becca for a second, somewhat surprised but also kind of... touched? And then watched her go up to the dorms.

Blink.

Oh! Favourite professor-types! Celandine walked over all lady-like and such, since she was too old for skipping and bouncing, and gave Professor Vindictus' bicep a solemn squeeze.

Then, so Lainey didn't feel left out, Celandine, still with blue icing on her nose, squeezed Lainey's bicep too. Then she went wafting over to the window, blue icing and conversations forgotten.

"ofcourse girl! I love competition" Adam said as he giggled

"Oooh!" she slapped his knee repeatedly, excitedly. "What positions?"

He chuckled as Cela sqeezed his bicep. Yep, she was definitely back to normal. Hopefully, she won't blow anything up this term.

"Erm, no limbo for me. The back isn't what it used to be which is why I limit myself to officiating and not playing." It wasn't as if he was getting old. Well, he wasn't as young and stupid as he used to be, and waking up with a stiff back and knees wasn't fun.

"Well, I was actually thinking about giving the House a really good pep talk after introducing you to them," Max said sheepishly and grinned. "Nothing embarassing, I promise."

Adam giggled and rolled up the sleeves of his white button uniform shirt "all positions,sweetheart" he said smoothly and giggled

Ellie smiled, sweetly. Well, the least she could do was live up to 'sweetheart', right?

"Do you play much? Oh, I wish we could practice outside of class. And that flying lessons would start soon. I can't remember the last time I'd gone this long without flying..." she was now fidgeting with excitement. Realizing this, she stopped and sat indian-style on the chair.

"well I don't play much, but you're totally right. We should be able to practice outside of class" Adam said with a smile
