Gold skipped after the Slytherin who had mentioned something Japanese, and stuck a fork into one of the teeny, yummy cakes. Taking a little bite, she grinned, before placing down the fork, and adding the name of the dish to her list. She hadn't heard of it, before.

AND Diggy was right! They needed more desserts!

"I hope we have the usual desserts," she said, out loud. "Black forest cakes and custard and stuff."

Oh, GOD!

This was too awesome.

Gold loved to bake. Bake, not cook. But she was going to give one of her favourite, favourite, foreign sweet dishes a try, since she couldn't see it around. GOSH! She was soooo glad she had made it, on to this committee. It had been her first choice when she had signed up, but she hadn't been sure if she would be able to get into it.

Skipping over to her favourite workstation [yes, she had one in the Charmed Kitchen], she frowned slightly. Could she get ghee here? Gold wasn't so sure; and that was definitely a difficulty. She knew she could use butter, but it just wouldn't have the same effect. She raised her wand, and summoned any ghee in the kitchen. No container came out, which meant that the Charmed Kitchen didn't have any. Well, Gold had expected as much. No matter. She knew she could get unsalted butter here, and that should solve the problem.

Tipping out an amount of the thing in a cooking vessel, Gold set it to simmer. She used her wand to raise the heat, so that the water would evaporate more quickly. Once it had boiled off, and most of the milky, dairy solids had settled at the bottom, Gold skimmed them off. She poured out the butter fat, tipping out one teaspoon in a pan, and measuring out one cup vermicilli noodles, to add into it. Then she levitated it on to a stove, using "Incendio!" to start a fire, and watching it turn light brownish. Gosh, gosh, gosh, it smelled sooooooo yummy.

Letting her wand tip the yummy, yummy stuff into a new pan, Gold used her wand to unscrew the cap off a bottle of milk, and let the milk pour into the mixture. Picking up the pan, she swished it around, carefully of course so that the milky stuff wouldn't splash out, and FINALLY looked around, to see what everyone was up to.

"This has to be the best committee ever," she said, beaming up at Professors Dodson and Reynolds. GOSHHH.

FUN!

Nolan chuckled. "I'm glad you're enjoying it, Prefect Gold. Can I take a look at that list you have so far?" he asked. He looked around...no one seemed to be wanting to cook anything except for her, so if they just wanted to keep testing food out, he'd let them but time was ticking, and they needed to compile a list of foods that were for sure going to be on that table.

"Well now you tell me!" she exclaimed, throwing her hands in the air. Leave it to Carter to just go and let Destiny do something as stupid as shoving chocolate into her pockets. "Usually when people say steal, they put it in their pockets." At least on the muggle box they do that.

She waited..and waited..and waited for a drink. The boy had asked her if she wanted one which meant HE was going to get it for her. But he didn't..sometimes it was easier to do things on her own. "I'll get my own drink.." she mumbled as she headed to the punch bowl.. She picked up a cup and was about to get herself a drink when..

..they were given the go to cook!

"Sweeeeet!" she said and throwing the cup on the table grabbed Carter by the arm ad pulled him to one of the food stations. "You can eat later, we are going to cook!" she glanced back at him and grimaced, "First you need to wash your hands though." Cooties..not good in food.

Slightly pushing him towards the sinks, she racked her brain for something to cook. "We're making Spaetzle!"

Indeed.

"You never answered me." Carter said to Destiny. "I would have gotten you one if you said you wanted me to get one." Which reminded him that he was still thirsty.

But he was being dragged away from already made food to the kitchens. He started washing his hands as Destiny instructed. "Gesundheit." he said over his shoulder to Destiny after she sneezed. He dried his hands and then joined her. "So what are we making?" he asked.

"If I did answer you, you wouldn't have been able to hear me. You were eating chips and salsa!" Those chips were either stale or just extra crispy since Destiny heard him chewing from where she stood. "I'm not thirsty anymore." Basically, thanks for NOTHING. Hehe.

She watched as he went over and started to wash his hands and refrained from saying 'Good boy'. She didn't know how he would react to that..plus he was not a dog. Heh. Collecting her ingredients, she looked around the room as Carter said Gesundheit to someone. "Who sneezed?" she asked, before realizing he was talking to her. "I didn't sneeze, that's what we're making, Spaetzle."

Jeez.

Having added the vermicilli to the milk and boiled it on medium heat, Gold introduced custard into it, watching a spoon stir away on its own. Then it was a play of condensed milk, raisins, nuts and yummy, melted sugar, until she had the delicious syrup ready.

Gosh, gosh, gosh!

She had managed to cook up some Sheer Khurma!

"Oh, I love food, sir," Gold said cheerfully, as she looked up when Professor Reynolds spoke to her. "That's why I signed up for the Food Committee." She wouldn't have, otherwise. Duplicating her list, she politely handed the Divination Professor a copy.

William had gone off on his own, possibly to make something secret that he didn't want anyone to know about. It had been a family tradition in his family, well one that Darius had brought over from Romania. It was his new favorite, much more better than traditional cakes. The Othello Layer Cake was a bit difficult to make, yet it was fun in its simplicity.

Donning his apron, he walked over to the are with the bowls. Picking up a large one he walked over to the fridge thing and opened it, taking out 9 eggs and butter. Placing them gently in the bowl he walked over to his spot once more and set it down, looking at the recipe again. It was a good thing he had remembered to ask Ari for it he mused as he frowned a bit. He was going to do this right; first things first, whipping the egg whites. Wait, did they have to do this using magic? He couldn't remember the spell.

Turning he looked around for Gold. "Gold, hey Gold" he whispered, edging towards her a bit. "We're supposed to use magic to stir the stuff right?" he asked, clearly he wasn't paying attention thinking of the cake and eating it.

"Well I am." Carter said half tempted to drink out of her punch cup on the counter. But once again he was distracted. That was the name of some food?

"Oh... right." he said still a little confused. He'd never head of anything like that. Or maybe it was just Destiny's pronunciation of things. "What do you want me to do?" he asked looking at the different ingredients. It looked like they would be making dough of some kind.

Destiny tapped her foot impatiently. He was JUST at the sink..he could have gotten a drink over there. She figured he didn't want to drink water, but it was faster than walking back over to the table.

Scoffing at his OBVIOUS hate of Spaetzle, Destiny picked up the recipe and started to read it. She needed something easy for him to do so he didn't muss it up. "This is a charmed kitchen, Carter. We don't really have to do anything."

She just didn't know how to get the pots to MOVE.

She looked at Carter and shrugged, "Do we..poke them?"

A charmed kitchen. That was so boring. Carter preferred using good old fashion man power mixed in with a healthy amount of electric mixers.

Sighing he rummaged around the cabinets for a large bowl to mix everything in. "Did you not pay attention in class?" he asked her setting the bowl on the counter. Finding a wooden spoon he placed it in the bowl and said, "Locomotor spoon." while waving his wand in a circular motion. Soon the bowl was stirring itself. "Now we just throw everything in." he said.

He read the recipe over her shoulder. There were only four ingredients. That added to the boring factor of what they were doing. Why couldn't they have made something fun like tacos or sushi or anything other than the sneeze-sounding dish?

Maybe he should have let Destiny poke things. That would have been entertaining. Oh well, too late now...

Gold looked away from the bowl of Sheer Khurma she was holding happily, to see William. "Hey," she said, cheerfully. Oh, Charmed Kitchen question! Gold would love helping William out, with that!

"Yep," she said, with a nod. "Everything in here is set to work best with charms. In theory, I suppose you could levitate and direct the spoon, but it would be much less of a hassle if you let it stir away by itself. You can use Excito Orbis to set a spoon to stir in a particular direction." She acted out the nifty wand movement, as she spoke. Gold used it, all the time. Because it was too exhausting, to have to keep moving your wand, to direct a spoon.

Oh yes, she had tried that once. Long, long ago. It had ended up in total chaos, of course. Gold had moved on to Excito Orbis and a couple of other nifty charms, that allowed her to calibrate a spoon or stirrer to periodically alternate its stirring, since then.

Glaaaaaaare.

If she could, Destiny would have shot lasers out of her eyes and vaporized Carter. Too bad that only happens on the muggle box. "Of course I pay attention in class! I know how to make the spoon move!" And she would have taken said spoon off of him if he hadn't already charmed it to move. "I'll throw everything in." she smirked, and if there weren't Professor's in the room, she would have literally thrown everything in. Professor's. Always ruining the fun.

Picking up her ingredients, she poured them all into the bowl. She was soooo glad that the recipe was easy to make. She wasn't sure how Carter would deal with a big, hard recipe.

As he continued to stir the mix, Destiny went to look for the AWESOMEST tool they would need to finish this. Finding it, she connected it to a big pot with the salt water and placed it on the stove. "When the water is done boiling, you can stop stirring. Then we pour the mix into the Spätzle Hex."

She narrowed her eyes, hoping he wouldn't think that was another sneeze.

"After this we can make something youuuu want."

'Cause Merlin knows, the boy looked bored.

Nolan smiled at all the people who were working on their dishes--they had some real cooks amongst them! SO much better than his culinary skills, that was for sure. He went around and scribbled the last few dishes to the list Gold had given him, and then clapped his hands to get everyone's attention.

"Hey! Good job everyone, but unfortunatly, we need to start wrapping up now," he announced. "I've taken note of ALL the food you've presented to us, and I think we'll be lucky enough to have all of this at the feast!" he added with a grin. WOOOT lots of food!

"So, clean up, and if you want, you can snack on the remaining dishes before you leave," he said, grabbing another cheese cube and popping it in his mouth. This food table was going to be so awesome!

Carter watched as Destiny put everything together while the bowl stirred itself. Once the water began to boil he removed the spoon. He then started pouring the mix into the sneeze... hex-er... thing...

"Does this work the same as a pasta maker?" he asked looking at the contraption. It looked like a pasta maker.

Oh yay! They could make something he wanted next? "Oh, it looks like we have to finish this up." he said hearing the Divination Professor. "That's okay. I'll just take the rest of the chips and salsa with me." Yes, eating pre-made food was a much better idea. No waiting time involved.

Patroclus pushed open the door and reveal the Charms Kitchen, turning to Evelyn he said, "I though it would be more fun, if we were to use magic whilst cooking up our Mexican Feast! How does that sound?"

Leading her over to a work station, pulling something from his bag Patroclus revealed his first surprise, Aprons, "You can pick which one you like!" He laughed, he thought they were quite hilarious!
"And when you are all aproned up, I will tell you what I am making for you today!"

Well, that definitely did sound better than making everything by hand. "Fine by me." she mumbled as she looked around. Well, definitely looked like a kitchen. What was so different about it then the other one down in the kitchens?

Having looked around the place, Evelyn turned to ask something of Patroclus, but, she came face to face with...the most hideous things she'd ever seen. Whaaa? She could pick which one she liked? She didn't like either of them though! However, he had laughed, which meant he either found the situation funny or liked the aprons. Smiling just the slightest, she took reluctantly took the nacho apron and quickly put it on before hopping up on one of the tables.

"So, Mr. Lemur Chef." Teehee. "What will we be making today? Or...you will be making today." Something fast hopefully. She was starting to get really hungry.

Seeing the tiniest smile on Evelyn's face told Patroclus, she didnt find the aprons half as funny as he did! But she had put one on so he was pleased, and he was extra happy that he got the "Kiss Me" one! It had him in stitches the first time he saw it!

"Well my lovely Assistant foward slash guest forward slash does not have to lift a finger, today we will be enjoying some spicy nachos to start us off, then we will have a taco/burrito main course and then to finish it off we will have some Churros con Chocolate for dessert!" Patroclus wondered if Evelyn had understood a word he had just said. He had to remember what he was creating muggle food, which she may not have been familiar with.

"Ready for me to get started?"

If he didn't have her smiling before, the Gryffindor boy definitely had Evelyn smiling now. Woot! She got a incredibly long name.

However, her smile turned to an expression of confusion as he started to name off the things they would be eating today. She sorta knew what a burrito was since he told her last time, but she had no clue what a nacho, tocko, or churo was. Though, she knew what chocolate was. "Can the churio come without chocolate?" she asked, not at all keen on eating that kind of dessert if it couldn't be made without the dreaded C word.

Other than that little problem, she would just have to trust what he cooked. "Yes, ready for you to start!" And ready to watch his every movement and what he put into the foooood!

"Not a Chocolate fan hey? No porblems easily solved, do you like caramel or custard?" Patroclus had meet very few people who did not enjoy chocolate, but that just made Evelyn all the more interesting, and it was no big deal, there were plenty of other solutions!

"Well without any further ado, I shall get to work, and you can jump in and try anything or help whenever you want to!" With a flick of his wand, the oven began to preheat for baking the nachos! Moving to the cupboard he found his ingredients and levitated them to the work bench, the corn-chips, the tomatoes, the avocado, that salsa, a block of cheese and an onion. "The nachos will be meatless, as we will use meat in the Burritos," he called to Evelyn his head buried in the cupboard. Returning to the bench he summoned a large cookwear dish, and began to prepare the Nachos, "So this is how we make Nachos; you pour the chips into the bowl, you dice your tomato and onion, Locomotor Knife!, you scope out the Avocado and chuck it all on top of the chips with the salsa and cover with Cheese. Finite!"
He picked up the diced onion and tomato and sprinkled them over the chips, and added a layer of cheese, next came the salsa and avocado, and then another layer of cheese.

Patroclus picked up the bowl and placed it in the oven!
"Ta Da! Easy but delicious!"

Aww. But at least she had managed to cook up her Sheer Khurma. Hopefully, it would be present, at the food table. Gold would definitely keep her fingers crossed, for that.

"Thanks for the awesome time, professors," she said, giving Professors Dodson and Reynolds a happy smile. She shrunk her list and tucked it into her pocket, before reaching out to have a slice of pizza. Chicken and cheese. YUM! Gold was soooo glad she had been able to make it on to this committee. It had definitely made her day.

"I'll help clean up," she offered. The dishes, of course, the two professors could vanish, whenever they felt they should. She could take care of the unimportant small stuff. Levitating the unclean utensils - including the plates she and a few other people she had tried out some of the food in, and all the utensils she had used in cooking up the Sheer Khurma - Gold directed them to one of the sinks in the kitchen, and then used some of the charm-work they had been taught in class, to take care of the dish-washing. That done, she rinsed her hands and beamed at the two professors.

"I had lots of fun, professor - s!" Professors. Not professor. Must not forget that! "I can tell the food table will be awesome." Beaming again, she picked up her little bag, the one she carried around pretty often and, after scanning the place to make sure there weren't any more of the unclean utensils around, decided that she could head back to her common room.

This meeting had been soooo rawr!

"I don't really mind which of those. Caramel and custard are both good." Better than chocolate that is. "You're the chef, so you choose."

Watching him move to the cupboard towards the back, Evelyn tried to lean to the side of the table to see what he was getting, but once he turned around, she got a clear view of the ingredients. Tomato, avocado, onions...all good ingredients, which made this dish already good. However, she was a bit skeptical on why it needed chips. She never heard of a food dish that had chips in it unless it was just chips and dip.

"Ok we will do melted caramel instead" Patroclus smiled at Evelyn, "It can be all nice and sticky! Yum!"

As Patroclus cleaned the knife, and work space, "Scourgify" he could not help but laugh at Evelyn's question, "How else do you think?! With our Hands!" He realized it would be quite unusual for someone who had not eaten Nachos before! "The chips when cooked are strong enough to use like edible spoons, don't worry its O.K. if we are messy, that makes it more fun!" Patroclus hoped he was putting the Slytherin's mind at ease, this would be a lot to take in for a Mexican first Timer!

"I will start on the Burritos while the Nachos cook!" Patroclus went to the cupboard and returned with a lettuce, tomatoes, carrots, onions, capsicum, cheese and a bunch of Tortilla bread. Moving to the fridge Patroclus retrieved a tray of Beef Mince.
He added the mince and some salsa into a steel pan and popped it onto a strove plate, "Incendio" to cook.

"Not long Now!"

Hmm, nice and sticky. Times like those called for a fork and knife. Definitely.

Aw, of course. Taking a deep breathe and letting it out slowly, the Slytherin nodded anyways and just shook her head. How else would one eat it? And it didn't look like she was going to get away with using a fork either. And it was not O.K. to be messy! It was probably the way she was raised, but she hated being messy when eating. The only time it was even possible was if she was running for her life, or working in the garden. Which reminded her, she needed to plant those flowers. "Whatever you say, Mr. Lemur Chef Sir." she said with a salute. Something she'd seen Destiny do and well, her friend's weirdness was rubbing off on her.

Now this was the one that intrigued Evelyn. Burritos? Sounded like something cold. Because like...Burrrr... Yea. Funny stuff there. Which was why she wasn't considered the funny one in the group. It seemed like the cheese, tomatoes and onions were a theme in this Mexican food stuff. But, the bread? It was weird. It was, ROUND. And FLAT. And had brown spots on it. Raising a brow at it, never having this stuff at home before, the Slytherin poked it before retracting her hand and placing it in her lap. "It looks weird." she commented as she looked questionably at Patroclus as he started cooking the beef.

But when he said it wasn't long now, her stomach gave a loud grumble. Eesh. At this rate, she'd eat anything.

Patroclus laughed as Evelyn saluted him, “I am here to serve" he replied with a bow. He grasped the handle of the frying pan and gave the spicy mince a toss, then he placed a wooden spoon inside and with a flick of his wand, caused it to stir on its self. “The good thing about Burritos is that besides the meat, the rest is cold! It is now just a case of chopping up all the fillings!” He stated with a large smile across his face. He was relaxing everything was going great! Why shouldn’t it be?, he thought to himself. “Locomotor Knife!” the clean knife resumed its chopping motion as Patroclus pushed the ingredient under the blade, making sure his fingers were clear. He scoped up the chopped fillings and displayed them on a large plate.

“Next is the Churros!” Patroclus said licking his lips, “Dessert always is the best part!” He summoned from the pantry all the ingredients and in a large bowl began to kneed them together. “All Churros really is, is fried dough that you cover in icing sugar and dump in a sauce of your choice, ours today will be gooey caramel,” he added with a wink at Evelyn. Incendio, he spoke as the second strove lit. He poured oil in and waited till it was hot. Then he rolled the churros dough into long pencils and dumped them in the oil. They sizzled and popped as they fried in the oil, till when done, Patroclus levitated them out. He then melted the sugar to make Caramel.

He had been quite for some time, but at last as he plated everything up, he breathed a sigh of relief. Turning to Evelyn, with a self-satisfied grin he said, “I hope we are still hungry! Dig in!”

SPOILER!!: THE FEAST!

"Look!" she nudged Carter again. "The Spatzle are floating!" In other words, they were done and they could finally eat! Turning off the stove, she poured the noodles onto plates, making sure she got more than Carter. As she finished sprinkling the plates with bread crumbs, since she didn't feel like waiting for gravy to cook, she heard people walk into the kitchen. Looking away from the plates in front of her, her eyes fell on Evelyn with..that Lawson minion from Muggle Studies.

Grabbing the plate off the counter, she dropped to the ground and pulled Carter down with her. "Shhhhh!"

They were gunna spy.
