Mina shrugged a shoulder and smiled. "You know it wouldn't be the first time a Slytherin hated me, so I should be fine," she laughed softly. "And don't mention it, friends help there other friends out." She was sure if she ever needed help, Evan would do the same for her.
Finally, she looked at the Great Hall and was in awe. Everyone had really done a great job with the decorating. She was feeling a bit proud of how great the decoration committee had really done, herself included. Standing beside Evan, she looked back to the professors and smiled. "Yes, thank you for holding this ball," she said. Really everything was more than she expected and there was so much to look at.
Noticing the Head Girl, she gave Cela a wave and one to Nia as well.
Evan smiled as they walked to the food table. His smile faded a bit though, when he tried to imagine what Violet would do to him if she saw them dancing. She surely wasn't going to be mean, was she? He sighed. Hopefully, she would hang out with Dillon and leave them alone.
Once they were at the table, it was his turn to feel proud. "What would you like to have, Miss?" he asked with all of his politeness with a smile as he thought what to have for himself. Sarma, chicken with spaetzle, chips and Othello layer cake looked delicious. He waited for her before taking his plate though. Ladies first.
Mari was quickly looking for an out to this conversation because...she didn't want to ruin Elizabeth's night and she felt as though that was exactly what she was going to do if she stood with them any longer and tried to make awkward conversation.
Thankfully, Robert chose to leave. Oh, and how nice, he even cited his own awkwardness, acknowledging that which Mari avoided. Her relief was evident in her expression, even if just a little bit. Once Robert walked away, with Mari tossing a small wave at his back, she turned to Elizabeth. " Honestly, this was the most awkward conversation I've had since I broke the news to my parents that I'd gotten married." She said, gaze dropping to her plate a moment before coming back up to focus on Elizabeth.
" Now...we should walk around. See who else..." Mari had turned, skimming the crowd when she heard a familiar voice, soon matched up with a familiar face. Hmm. She would eventually make her way over to Nicholai. He did seem rather occupied at the moment anyhow. Her expression was unreadable as she paused a moment, but in another second or two she had turned back to Elizabeth. " See who else is here." she said finally to her friend. " And I can show you a few pictures I took of Alex and Bella. I figured I would show you here, and not wait around to send you copies via owl." Mari said with a small smile.
Ugh. Stupid school. Stupid ball. Stupid everything! Mika just wanted to get out of it, STILL she'd dragged herself down here. For what reason? Bonnie, probably... Sure, they'd made up, but things weren't quite... right. Still a little akward.
She looked up and down the table to see if she could spot her.
Bonnie looked up from munching on a chip. She saw a girl, looking...lost? Mikkkaaaaaa! She ran up, her pale peach dress brushing off the floor. "Mikaa!" She smiled and hugged her friend, cringing behind the other girl's back. They still weren't quiet right.

But it still amused her. Hehe.
That didn’t stop her from raising one eyebrow at his words, though, and approaching him, she pressed her lips to the corner of his. “Don’t be silly. I’ll be satisfied in taking you home tonight.” There was no way he only wanted to dance with her. Pssh.
Clifford picked at his full plate some more, making sure to give everything a taste. The biryani and yorkshire puddings were his favourite. Biryani IN the yorkshire pudding, that was.
DEEEE-LICOUS.
Apparently Evangeline wanted a taste too, and Clifford very nearly dropped his plate all over her dress when she leant forward for a swift kiss. "Whoaa, that was a close call," he said, quickly setting his plate back onto the table before an accident occured. Salsa all over that cream dress? Disaster, much?

Yet.
Mika looked up as Bonnie greeted her, and forced out a smile. Even though she was happy, she had a hard time showing it on her lips these days. But she was happy to see Bonnie. Of course, why wouldn't she?
"Haaaai!" Mika hugged Bonnie, and actually smiled.

Mika was happy to see her! Yay. That was gewddddd. "How are you?"
Jackie walks into the room and grabs some food. She takes some pizza, Othello Layer Cake, and some fruit with chocolate. She felt so weird she had no one to dance with. It was sort of lonely for her.

Mina allowed Evan to lead the way over toward the food table. Everything did look rather tasty and she wanted to possible try everything but she tried to restrain herself the best she could. Getting crumbs on her dress was something she wanted to avoid at the moment.
Taking a plate for herself, she looked at the treats before her again. "It all looks so good." she said as she glanced over at Evan. "What would you suggest?" She was leaning toward something sweet, but needed a little push in the right direction. Yes, something sweet was just what she wanted at the moment. Perhaps she would eat once she danced a bit first.

Having all the meals tried by himself, Evan looked through the meals as he tried to decide which one would be fine. "I'll take sarma, chicken with spaetzle, chips and Othello layer cake." he said with a small nod. "What kind of meal you want?" Or, more importantly, did she have any allergies?
"Broom line? That's actually impressive." Francesca took another large chug of the drink she had in her hand. No more talking of that now. She snickered as the boy bowed to her. She stepped back and slightly curtsied to him. "Well I would be honored to bestow my wisdom onto you. I think you would find it particularly useful." Picking up a piece of apple, she popped it into her mouth and looked at Nico. "So what exactly do you do for a living then? I've got a feeling it's something exciting for some reason."

Mina shrugged and looked over at Evan. "I'm not that hungry at the time, but maybe so cake?" she smiled softly. Her sweet tooth was acting up again and for some reason, she didn't think she would be about to actually eat a whole meal. Looking back to the table again, she bit her lip and thought about it. "Well, maybe I could have a little of the chicken and spaetzle and finish with cake," she said softly, more to herself than anyone.

Evan nodded again, and reached to get Mina what she wanted. If she wasn't that hungry to have a proper dinner, then he could do with a quick meal too. Giving her her plate, he got ten sarmas for himself and although it was annoying to eat them using a fork rather than simply picking them, he finished quickly since sarmas were small and waited for her. They hadn't even danced yet! Oh, he was such a rude date, although they both wanted to eat first.

OH NO!!
Evangeline watched in what really resembled slow motion as Clifford almost, ALMOST dropped the plate where he had been making his food experiments. ON HER DRESS! Her pretty, cream dress!
That would NOT be good.
He managed to stop it, fact, but still, Evangeline assumed it was best to maybe stop with the surprise kisses? And perhaps ... step back? Really, ten years after, you would think he could handle a kiss without getting all surprised!
"I'm sorry! I didnt mean to interrupt your eating!" She told him, biting her lower lip and picking up his plate to offer it to him again. "I promise I'll stop with the sneaky kisses." Hehe.

"I should probably save some room for later anyway," Clifford said with a shrug of his shoulders, taking some chips from the plate Evangeline was handing back to him before pushing it back to the table. It wouldn't run away, would it? NAAAH.
He planned on making a lot of pit stops back to the food table. A LOT.
"Do you see anyone else from school?" He asked, spinning on the spot and peering towards the dance floor. He wanted to MINGLE.

Evangeline was beginning to go back to her old self once more and that mean playfully rolling her eyes at Clifford's comment. Because she knew what it meant. It meant he was planning on having food breaks. Maybe she REALLY should consider taking cooking lessons from house-elves.
He didn't complain about her cooking, true, but he never seemed quite as excited about it either!!
His next words did take her mind off worrying about her cooking skills, though, and she looked around, grateful for her high heels. That meant she could see further away! "Sweetie, you're still taller than me! If you can't see anyone from our school days, I don't think I do either." And fact was, she couldnt. Booohoo! She wanted to see Eleanor! She hadn't seen her in AGES. And Sarah! And everybody!

The three year old tore around like nobody's business.
He fixed his attention on Celestina. "Can I get you a drink, Bucky?" He offered. Sure the table was right there but it was a way of gauging whether or not she was alright.
He had promised Adri and Briony that he'd look after her after all, and he didn't truly mind one bit.
Unsurprising pursuits? Warbuck had no idea what Lil Toussaint meant by that. She tried to stay out of other people's business as much as possible. It was hard to do sometimes as she suffered from a chronic mouth-in-foot-itis. It often led her to awkward situations.
"A drink?" she repeated after Nico, lifting up her now empty paper cup. Whatever had been it, was definitely tasty and distracting. Celestina made a mental note not to have too much of it. "I wouldn't mind another one. I feel like I talked forever before you got here so my tongue feels dry."
Mouth. Tongue. Both. All of it?

Fran and Nico were being so weird. Celestina wiggled her empty cup at her date one more time to get his attention. Well, whenever he was done playing with Fran or whatever it was that they were doing.
"He does potions," answered Bucky enthusiastically, a grin stretching her tinted lips. "He's that kind of smart."
"I do." Nico agreed to the potions comment. "The company shares recently went public actually." A small and satisfied smile curled his lips. Even if his personal life was a shambles, his work and therefore his finances were golden. "We recently scored a contract with potion production for St. Mungos, which adds nicely to our overall portfolio. I'll be right back."
He smiled down at Bucky then took her cup, moving over to the end of the table with drinks on it in order to refill it with what it looked like she'd already been drinking.

Mina smiled and nodded in thanks as Evan handed her her plate. It was a small enough meal to tide her over. Delicately, she started to eat. It didn't take her all that long to finish and she dabbed her lips with her napkin. Setting the her plate down, she glanced toward the dance floor. They still hadn't danced yet, but the night was still young. She was sure they would have a dance later or something.
Folding her hands in her lap, she took time to look at how the Great Hall kept changing. They really did do a great job with all the decorations. "This place looks great doesn't it?" she asked.
In Eleanor's opinion, that was always the perfect place to start looking for people you knew; always. Plus, you got to eat delicious food and drink flavorsome drinks while you did it; win, win. With a smile on her lips, the nineteen year-old grabbed one of the several strawberry smoothies that were right on the beginning of the table and took a small sip of it. They didn’t just look tasty.. they WERE tasty. Hogwarts food was always so yummy, she was happy that hadn't change.
Actually, the former brunette hadn't noticed any changes in Hogwarts since she had arrived to the castle. It was just.. Hogwarts; which was a positive thing. And it still felt like home... which was sort of weird.
The young woman started wondering around the room, her brown eyes scanning it for familiar faces, it didn’t took her much time to spot a few and the first one saw was Evangeline. Grinning, Eleanor made her way towards the place where the older brunette was sitting. “ Evangellinnee!” she spoke, enthusiastically, still grinning. Then her eyes moved to Evangeline’s now curly hair and pretty crème dress. “YOU LOOK SO PRETTY !” she continued, still with the same tone of voice.

Clifford was just about to tell Evangeline that SHE was the one that wore the bloody stilts in this relationship.. when someone familiar crept up. That was all fine and dandy, but WHAT WAS WITH THE IGNORING, HUH!? She looked a little older, but there was no mistaking Smelly Ellie. Smelly Ellie who he'd known since she was a wee firstie was ignoring him!?
Sad face.
"OHHHH, I know I do!" The former Slytherin butted in and gave his eyelashes a flutter fluttering. So he knew she'd been talking to Evangeline, but hey. "Thank you, darling! Doesn't my shirt bring out the colour of my eyes!?" He exclaimed with pretend flamboyancy.

Evangeline was STILL looking for someone they had known in their school days .. when apparently that someone found them. Pssh. Once a power couple, always a power couple, eh? Hehe. "Eleanor!!" YES! She had just wondered if she would be attended seconds ago! But wow .. did she look ... blonde.
Eleanor was a blondie now??!
"Thank you! So do you. I love your dress." Evangeline chuckled, playfully elbowing Clifford and moving to hug the younger girl. "And your new hair!" Yes, it was new and completely different from the girl's once brown locks but it suited her.
It appeared Clifford had been somewhat displeased with the lack of compliments directed at him, though, and Evangeline rolled her eyes, a bright smile on her lips. "Now, now, Clifford. You look pretty too! I just look .. prettier!" WEEE!
The former Slytherin rolled her hazel eyes; it was completely useless to correct Evangeline. Actually, she sort of had gotten used to have people calling her that way.. so it was all good. Kinda.
The blonde’s grin expanded a little bit as Evangeline moved to hug her. Gently, yet enthusiastically, wrapping her arms around the older girl, Eleanor laughed amusingly as Evangeline commented on her new hair color. “ Thank you Evangeline! I lost a tiny little bet to a French gentleman and had to dye it.. but then I got used to it decided to keep it blonde.” she shrugged, and that was when she heard a male voice talking. A very familiar male voice..
Okay so.. Eleanor hadn’t done it on purpose.. she really Really REALLY hadn’t . Darn, she failed.. or not, maybe that was the universe giving her some kind of warning. Humn, let’s not get into that. “Hai Clifford..” the blonde spoke and then unconsciously starting to chew the inside of her right cheek. TALK. “It has been a while, how have you both been ?” Eleanor asked, still with a nice grin on her lips.
And then Teddy Squirrel spoke again – Merlin that nickname.. she couldn’t even comment it - “Don’t try to outshine your girlfriend.. it is not cool. ” she replied, suppressing amused laughs ; it was good to see Evangeline and Clifford together.
Actually no, it wasn’t true that Evangeline looked better than Clifford; he looked handsome. But yeah.. Eleanor was going to keep that little detail to herself.

Tia was standing at the food table when she thought that she regonised a couple of voices but she wasnt too sure who the voices belonged to she just filled up her plate with as much of the food as possible and stood eating a small bit at a time she hoped that she would be able to chat to some of her other old friends soon

HAH! Evangeline felt the old, familiar feeling of victory spread all over her when Eleanor didn't correct her on her name. Some things never changed, it seemed. Knowing how much Eleanor hated that name and knowing she had accepted that Evangeline would always call her that, made the twenty one year old feel very .. proud. Mmhm.
"You lost a bet?" Now THERE's something that had changed, it seemed. She couldnt recall Eleanor ever losing a bet while at Hogwarts. "I'd like to meet the man who won a bet against Eleanor Bluebell. He must've been quiiiiiite the gentleman."Eyebrow wiggle.
Okay - that was weird. Ahem.
"You did well keeping it, I think." Evangeline swiftly continued, after clearing her throat somewhat quietly. "It suits you." She was just about to continue and answer Eleanor's question regarding their welfare when Clifford practically pushed her onto the table in his haste to get his hug.
Good Merlin!
"Please don't break her ribs, Clifford!" She pleaded with an amused chuckle. Visiting the Hospital Ward was probably something Eleanor didn't want to do during a ball.
