"Really Vicky, is quills really necessary for a birthday present. NO. How about something more glamorous like... er... what you girls like?" he asked her thinking what would she like for her birthday. Thomas' birthday is far away in February he never had some special presents from his friends but it really didn't matter to him as long that he has something waiting for him at home he's great.

"It's better than nothing," he chuckled and set Luce back on the floor. Now here was a problem they were in different houses. Quidditch games. "Uhh, root for my own house...?"

She poked him and rolled her eyes. "Of course you will," She said with a laugh. "I have to write to my parents and tell them about it. Wanna go up to the Owlery with me?" She said as she kissed him again.

"Sure," Tyler said and kissed her back. "I have to write my mom a letter too. I bet she's wondering some things," he smirked and started heading up the stairs, holding Lucy's hand.

Lucy raised her eyebrows and shrugged. "Okay, let's go," She said.

Jude walked back and forth in the Entrance Hall, waiting for Thalia to show up. He had sent her a note asking if she wanted to hang out and just chat with him for a bit, and he had requested that they meet in the Entrance Hall.

His hands were in his pockets as he pondered over his homework-filled day. It had definitely stressed him more than he would care to admit, but hopefully seeing his girlfriend would make his day less stressful.

Thalia bounded up the dungeon steps to the Entrance Hall. She had just got Jude's note and was more than thrilled to hang out with him. Seeing as her life had been in bore. Not so much though. She had been talking with Cesar and Parker again. So her mood was okay.

Parker.

She actually thought they may be friends. It would take a little more time though.

"Hey Jude," she grinned, walking up to him. He looked slightly frustrated.

"Hi there Thal." Jude said with a small unconvincing smile. He leaned close to kiss the top of her head gently and give her a hug.

"Just thought that I should get a chance to see you at least once this week. I'm sorry I haven't been around much, I've had a lot of homework recently that's just occupied my time." he explained looking down at the girl hoping that she could be understanding. Of course, Thal usually seemed so carefree about so many things so he was sure she wouldn't be too upset about not seeing him much as recently.

"Homework tops your girlfriend eh?" she asked him with a questioning look. She didn't mean for it to sound like that. It was a little bit of the truth though. She hadn't been able to talk to him once this week. He was a Ravenclaw. They liked homework and cared about it more than most things. Even if that may include her right?

"I said I'm sorry Thal." Jude said with a furrowed brow. Why did she sound so hurt by the fact that he wanted to do well in school. "I'm just trying to prepare for next year when we have to take our O.W.L.s." he further explained. "My marks are important so I can get a decent job in the future."

"That's a year away Jude," she reminded him, shaking her head. "You'll do perfectly fine." He was smart and didn't need to be focused on homework all the time. There was still her in the picture. "At least I had Parker and Cesar to talk to," Thalia figured. "Two people who had time for me this week at least," she snapped with a edge to her tone. She was ticked off.

Jude frowned at those comments. "I think that's a bit uncalled for Thalia." he replied solemnly feeling his emotions slowly shutting down. Jude did not wish to erupt on Thalia, not like he was known to do because he held in his emotions so much.

"You know I care about you." he said quietly.

"What's uncalled for?" she asked her temper slowly rising. "I think it's sad that this is the first time this week that you've talked to me. I don't even get a 'hello' in our classes you're so preoccupied," Thalia pointed out with a frown. "I'm not even dating Cesar or Parker and they still have time to say 'hi'." It was slowly starting to sink in as she said these things. All this week she had been trying to pretend her feelings weren't hurt but they were.

"Then if you care a least let me know I'm not invisible," she snapped again, color slowly rising to her cheeks.

Jude paused wondering how he wanted to phrase what he wanted to say next. "Well I should apologize for not saying hello to you at least, but in my defense, there were more opportunities for Cesar and Parker to talk to you since you're all in the same House together." he explained.

"I will try to be less insensitive in terms of my responsibilities as your boyfriend."

"You had plenty of opportunities too Jude!" she cried. "The Great Hall, classes, the corridors, library," Thalia listed off in irritation. She didn't think she could take much more of this before she started yelling at him. "And it's not like I'm around them all the time." They were around usually the same times Jude was around.

"Yeah you'll try now. My feelings were hurt though. It takes a lot for someone to do that too," she felt angry towards him and unforgiving.

"Well if you enjoy them so much why don't you date one of them instead?!" Jude demanded looking down at Thalia, a sense of fire in his eye. It wasn't the first time he had suspected that Thalia may have thought that she made the wrong decision choosing him rather than Cesar or Parker.

"Maybe then you can blame them for hurting your feelings so much and not me." he added, with clenched fists. She didn't know of half the things that were running through his mind right now. Not only school work; he had been planning for their first date in Hogsmeade that coming weekend, and talking with his father about letting him and Thalia go to Australia that summer together.

But as their conversation continued, it appeared as if the pair would not be doing any of those things.

"Maybe I should!" she cried with anger, glaring at him. She couldn't believe she had said it but he was making her angry by every response he said. "At least I wouldn't be ignored!" Thalia added. Things had happened besides him ignoring her that bothered her. More than he knew and maybe she was just trying to get it out all on him.

"Do you not like hearing the truth then? That I was being ignored. I was busy too Jude. I would have been perfectly fine just to take a break for a few minutes. This week just hasn't been terrible for you you know," she pointed out with a cry. Thalia was upset about a lot of things. Things that no one ever needed to know. That she would just need to live with.

Jude took in a deep breath trying to calm himself. He thought of what he had planned for the pair of them. Why was she making this so hard for him to keep his anger down. It was like she wanted him to respond somehow.

"I know that I haven't made it much easier by being distant from you Thalia. But we were spending so much time together for a few days I just needed a breather. And then more homework piled up on me that it became so much that I just couldn't get away." he explained in as calm of a tone as he could. It was more like Jude was gritting his teeth at her.

"I had things planned for us for this weekend but I guess that's going to be forgotten since you would rather chase after Cesar and Parker since they're so much better than me." he looked away from her, out at the Hogwarts Grounds, trying to concentrate on something that wouldn't upset him so much.

She couldn't stand him being so calm like this. She wanted him angry. She wanted him to yell. He wasn't making it any easier than it had to be. "I needed you this week Jude!" she yelled at him. "You made it hard to feel happy at all. I've been worried sick about why you weren't talking to me. Then there's matters with my family that is just threatening to fall apart," she exclaimed. Was her family trying to kill her by bad things happening straight in a row? A breather? Was she bothering that much? "Why aren't you angry?" she cried in a tone of irritation.

"I would rather not be with Parker at the moment. I don't think he's like to see my face for the rest of the year due to certain circumstances and Cesar has been too busy hanging out with that Gryffie," she explained but wanted no further in her situation that she would not say another word about. "They aren't better than you but I feel like they care more than you do at the minute." Without warning she hit him in the arm. Stepping back and away from him a lone tear ran down her cheek. She turned away from him not wanting to see his face.

"You want me to get angry Thalia?" he asked in a raised voice.

"Fine, how do you think I felt when you were giggling at that stupid little game that you and Parker play? You two need to grow up." he spat now angrier than he had ever been before with her. "I get jealous easily, you know that. And now you two are acting so buddy-buddy, how do I know that he's just trying to steal you away from me?" Jude was just getting on a roll.

"You call yourself such a big flirt, what else am I to assume? Besides, I don't expect that a little competition would come in the way of you and Cesar. Wasn't it he who said he would go after you if you weren't already attached?"

And then Thalia hit him on the arm and turned away from him obviously upset that he didn't seem to care as much.

"I don't like to yell because I don't like to be angry with you Thalia. But if you think me insensitive, you are gravely mistaken and I hardly think you know half about who I really am sometimes."

Alexa came running into the entrance hall, not watching what she was doing as usual. *eyeroll* As it were she ran right into an older guy (Jude) and fell right onto her bum.

She made to get up, muttering under her breath as she did so. "Sorry dude, i didn't see you standing there." she said, her cheeks bright red as she looked up. Seeing the stupid guy she had argued with she narrowed her eyes a bit and then said, "Yeah, um sorry again."

She turned on her heel and took off running again, trying to get back to the seventh floor as quickly as possible.

"What if I don't want to grow up!?!" she yelled with the most fury she had felt, turning around on him her eyes burning. "I was expected to be a grown up since I was 11 in that damn school I went to! Now that I'm here I just wanted to be my own age. I'm not even 15 yet. Get off my back about my choices. Let me do what I want. I can't have someone else expecting me to grow up again. Before I know it I will be a grown up," she cried, more tears dripping down her face even though she hardly realized it anymore. He didn't understand what torture she had felt at Beaxabtons and here she was free and allowed to get away with things she hadn't at Beaxbatons. "Parker and I will never get along! Just get that through your head Jude. I messed things up too bad with us," she told him. She needed to stop feeling guilty.

"Cesar said I was the only girl he was interested in. He told me girl's go after him. I never wanted to go after him. It would seem as if I were desperate which I wasn't!" Thalia exclaimed. Cesar was an idiot. He couldn't honestly expect her to do that.

"I know you don't like being angry. I don't either. It's just when your a teenager you don't know how to take things. Change is one of them and I've had a terribly hard time with that ever since the beginning of this summer." She couldn't stand being a teenager sometimes. It bothered her greatly. The hurt. Plus plenty of more things.

"Fine whatever." Jude said darkly before mumbling, "Screw up your life for all I care."

Jude sucked in his cheeks for a moment before replying, "Oh I'm sure that Parker would forgive you for whatever you did just to be with you. Any boy probably would. And I don't have a doubt that you wouldn't go after Cesar if you had the chance, even just for a second. Going out with one of the best looking Slytherins in the school? No one would pass that up."

He looked from left to right now even more sure that he shouldn't even bring up what he had had planned for the pair this weekend. Well actually, it might be the best way for Thalia to stop hating him and actually feel bad for how she was yelling him.

"Here, I got us reservations at Madame Puddifoot's this weekend because I figured it would be busy." Jude said showing her the two tickets before throwing them down at her feet. "Though since you obviously don't want to go with me, you can take one of your little admirers."

"Thanks, I will," she nodded with sarcasm in her tone. She knew that whatever he said he did care.

He didn't understand what she had did nor would he get to know that either. "It has to do with him. He was there. He doesn't want to see my face right now Jude," she snapped , wiping the tears, along with smearing her make up slightly but she didn't care. "I can't believe you would say that!" she cried angrily. "If he wanted to date me then he can chase after me." Like she said, she wasn't desperate. He hardly understood.

When he said he had gotten them reservations to Madam Puddifoot's she wanted nothing more but to get away from him. "Have fun with some other girl you ask," Thalia whispered, smearing her make-up even more.

Then she turned from him and headed back the way she came. She wanted no one at the minute. No one was worthy of seeing her or giving her any source of comfort. She just wanted to cry.

Jude listened as Thalia tried to explain herself but he didn't respond to any of it. None of it mattered as his responses would surely just fall to deaf ears. Looking down at the thrown away tickets, he kicked them around before walking out onto the Hogwarts Grounds to clear his head.
