Zoe looked at Violet and and smiled "I certainly hope I don't get him for any lessons, I'll spend more time in detention this term than I will classes" Zoe laughed and continued to eat her dinner, which was exquisite as always.

"Oh my gosh im so sorry that must've hurt so bad"
Violet smiled "Yeah that will probably happen to me too. I want to talk to professor happy though I want to see what he does once i meet him he'll think I'm super annoying"

Chaucer remembered his days in the Academy for Extremely Handsome Gen.. wait... well the academy anyway, and how when his father took a tragic turn the other students immediately sprung into action. His father had owned a publishing company, but due to extreme melancholia (which Chaucer refused to call 'depression' as that implied a permanent state of unhappiness) Nathan sold it off to a family friend. Currently he conducted a private business from home involving the circulation of rare books that allowed him to spend literal days confined in his library. Chaucer always found him a sad and romantic figure, like Lord Groan of 'Gormenghast', and allowed him his privacy. Unfortunately some of the other riff-raff didn't have this same sense of admiration.
"Well, it's true I can proudly say. I am in Slytherin after all and what use is ambition when one has a company handed to them? That's right, it would be moot, redundant and ridiculous wouldn't it? You know it would!" No one here had a right to criticize him for such a 'flaw' anyway.

Zoe looked at Violet, tilting her head to one side "I don't think you're annoying Violet. I think you're as sweet as apples" Zoe said with a nod. "What makes you think he will find you annoying?"

Crap. Aaron just had to show up and call her by her nick name. Really? Was that just so necessary? AH!!!!! "Hey Aaron," Thalia gave a small grin. "Yeah, this is Parker," she said, pointing over at the kid sitting next to her. She have him a death glare. Aaron that is and continued on to eating.

"I did win. This is something not hard to think about. I WON hands down," she argued back again. How many times was he going to pretend that he let her win. She really did win. He just couldn't stand her awesomeness. Besides the fact she still hated this house.

Wasn't a joke. Yeah right. "That was a total joke and you know it. You just like to pretend you're always right. Pffft, which you aren't," she lied. Okay so maybe he was right sometimes but not always. She did mention sometimes right? "If you weren't so arrogant you would be sitting over there." She pointed at the yellow and black clothed students eagerly chatting. Oh yeah, he would so be a Hufflepuff. "Just to let you know, us Slytherins have to be devious so watch out from now on. Even though I'd like to mention I still hate this house," she added looking at him.

"Yes!" she cried, throwing her hands up. "My nickname is Teddy. But I swear, if you ever call be Teddy that will be the last thing you ever do," she threatened, nearing toward him. Thalia Munroe was back! Ha ha, the whole depression thing would kick back in later. Right now it was throw death threats at Parker. Then she settled back down and started to blush bright red. Or was it dark red? She couldn't tell. All she knew was this was an embarrassing situation. "Look," she pointed out defensively. "If I don't talk to you out of pleasure. I warn them about you," Thalia stated, turning away from him. She just rolled her eyes at his stupidness.

"Trust me i can be really annoying if i want thats what i'm aiming for he'll hate seeing me in his class" said Violet

''HAHAHAHAHAHHAHA!!!'' The Gryffindor boy bursted out with laughter as the cookie hit Destiny totally annoying her. That Destiny was so much fun! And he laughed more at her expression when she asked what he was doing. ''Enjoying myself!'' he yelled back dodging the orange coloured vegetable she threw at him with a huge grin on his face. ''Nah. Try a better shot!''

Grabbing more cookies he also realised the Hufflepuff girl talking to her. She was impossible to miss anyway and was in a good shooting range along with Destiney.. Therefore grinning widely he hurled the cookies twords the two girls. ''Eat'em all ladies! You need fat!''

"Duh, pranks and stuff." And making his life as miserable as possibly. "What else were we going to do to him?" Snickering, she looked back down at her plate, pushing it away again. Okay, no more food. Just looking at it she was feeling sick.

She didn't find it funny though when he joked about the Slytherins losing a point. Instead she just stared, raising a brow while he laughed before sighing and nodding. "You should have at least been the King or something." Or something way better than a lower class knight. Looking back up to the staff table, spotting the creepy professor, she shrugged her shoulders before turning back to Josh. "Apparently not the groundskeeper."

"Try harder then." she laughed, crossing her arms on the table. "Have you seen Bunz and that other red head professor by the way? It looks like they are going to rip each other apart." She could imagine during a Herbology class one day...no no. She shouldn't imagine that. They were Professors after all. Professional, mature, wise adults who were there to teach...and where some really weird outfits for someone who's supposed to be around dirt alot. Why did she wear those shoes anyways!?


"Hey hey HEY NOW!" she yelled, scowling at the two of them. "YOU...are getting crumbs all over my clothes." Brushing off the invisible crumbs from her sleeve, she glared at the two of them before a small smirk appeared. Aw she couldn't be mad at these two...technically it would have been three since Kylie was there now, but she wasn't really her 'friend' friend at the moment. Not like Destiny or Josh, so she was still cautious around her. "Sooo...what's everyone excited for this year?" That...was a random question for sure...

"I was just kidding about the nickname thing." Aaron then nodded at was Iris said next and then took some food while Iris and Jimbo discussed food.

mmmm... food.

Although, when Aaron looked up he saw a look from Jimbo at Iris that only Aaron was allowed to have.

Oh no he did not.
Look at him! Staring at Iris like she's anyones! He's so staring at the gleam of her hair.
What are you going to do, kid?
Well he obviously doesn't know that me and her are together.
But you aren't.
Yeah, we.... You're right. We're not. Dammit. There's nothing I can do...

Aaron looked at this kid while he was eating with a look that said 'You just did something you can NEVER do again.' He looked over to Iris who seemed to be happy and then realized he was going to cut this kid some slack. He could FINALLY be a friend that's a guy.

He waited for Iris and Jimbo to finish a conversation before putting on a friendly face and said, "So, you into Quidditch?" He said to Jimbo.

"I, for one, can not find a way to respect a man that just has riches and a business handed to him, unless he finds a way to improve it greatly. It's much more impressive for a man to come from rags to riches, so to speak." Severia said before putting a small bite of mashed potatoes in her mouth. She hated to eat in the company of men, it somehow seemed unladylike. But she couldn't help it, she was starving!

There went Aaron who sat down with his supposed girlfriend and some other dude. "Hey you!" Thalia yelled, trying to get Aaron's attention. She picked up a roll and threw it at his head. "You just aren't going to get away with that you know," she told him with a frown. Oh yeah, he was going to get it hard.

"Right, Severia. We'll see how you feel about that when you get your hands on your inheritance from your father." Avada said with a smirk

Zoe was staring at Professor Duskurk as Violet was explaining to her just how annoying she can be as she spoke he glare was still fixed on Professor Happy, as she now liked to call him "I believe you Violet, and if you do annoy him then that saves me a job of doing it" Zoe's face had changed, what was before a look of innocence was now a chilling look, a vacant look, a nasty look.
"Take my word for it Violet, If something horrible happens to that professor don't be surprised, and don't let him bully you!" Zoe stared at the professor for another five minutes.
In that time some of the thoughts that went through her head were rather disturbing, but she composed herself and continued to eat her food.

"Notice that I said men. I am, as I sure it is easily noticed, a young lady. And I have plans to better my father's estate as soon as he croaks."

"What do you mean if something horrible happens to him?" asked Violet scared but trying not to show it

Chaucer agreed, but couldn't help feeling a little inadequate nontheless. He knew his parents would never have to taste the crushing defeat that an upper-middle class lifestyle was sure to provide, but his sister and himself might not be so lucky. It was for this reason alone that his research demanded success.

"Well, struggle breeds character I think. Sometimes when one gets to the top he becomes twice as bitter and abuses his rank, however well-earned." Noting Severia's small bites, he straightened his back and lifted a small portion of Yorkshire pudding to his mouth. His eyes became a little glazed over, almost bored with his own statement that followed: "I wonder how I shall take retribution on those wicked postulants from the academy?" He made a sigh, bereft of all the theatrics that would normally have accompanied it, and went to drink from his goblet.
"Wealth is tedious." He muttered, not hearing the debate between the siblings. He couldn't help but wonder, amongst his self-pity, what exactly happened to that bit of mashed potatoes he threw earlier.

"Well Violet, sometimes accidents happen and they can't be avoided, and, well.....I feel like something bad may happen to Professor Happy" Zoe said shrugging her shoulders and raising her eyebrows.
"You understand where I am coming from....don't you Violet?" Zoe asked, winking at Violet.

WHOP!

Aaron turned his head to his Teddy hitting him in the head. "Um...Ow? Was there really a point for that?" Aaron stood up and stood over her. "What exactly did I do, Teddy?" Aaron knew very well what he did, but wanted to hear it from her. "Oh! And before I forget, Teddy, meet Jimbo, Jimbo meet Teddy," he said pointing them out to each other. "Now you know each other." Aaron nodded.

Interesting was not the word for Destiny's summer. 'More like horrible.' Horrible was a much better word choice. Unless there is something worse, but she couldn't think while food was being thrown at her!

He thinks it's funny! Well it was funny, but cookies hurt! How could she miss him? He was right in front of her! Plunging her hand into the bowl of carrot, she pulled out the biggest handful her hand could hold, 'How's this for thrying harder!?' she asked as she threw them in his direction. One of them had to hit. If not, there was always a pie in the face..

It was also hard to notice anything with cookie crumbs in your eyes. Maybe if she was fast enough she could peek before she got hit again. 'Whoa they look angry. It's like their hair is on fire.' She wondered what the whole argument started over. Probably whose hair was redder or something. And now Destiny needed to hide again..

Uh-oh, Evelyn was angry. Angry about crumbs. Peeking from under her arm again, Destiny examined these so called crumbs. 'I don't see any crumbs..but if you want some on you..I could help.' she said with a smirk appearing on her face. She stuck her hand back in the bowl of carrots, hopefully no one wanted to eat them anymore, and aimed right for Evelyn, but as she was about to throw them she switched directions and threw them at Josh instead, 'HAHAHAHA!! You need fat tooo!' Hopefully no professor sees this..

Kylie wasn't in the mood. She grabbed her wand and flicked it a bit, whispering under her breath. Any cookie the boy now picked up with intent to throw at her would simply crumble. Easy enough. "Sorry, buddy. This Huffie doesn't get picked on anymore." She said simply.

Kylie didn't really want to be a part of the cookie fight, so she inched a couple centimeters away hoping they'd stop. She really didn't want to be a part of trouble on their first day back. "I'm sorry you had such a rotten vacation... but I brought you guys presents!"

Kylie smiled. "Well, it should be easier than first year in ways. So I guess I'm excited to goof off a little more." She knew she wouldn't have too much trouble with her studies. So, the goofing off just sounded fun.

Violet gasped "Please tell me your not saying you might to something to him"

Thalia rolled her eyes at Aaron's innocent manner. "Yes there was a point for that. You called me Teddy and continue to do so in front of him," she poked Parker on the shoulder. "Now I'm going to be tortured even more than I am now by this kid." She poked Parker again. "Hey Jimbo," Thalia waved. "I take it you got a nickname by Aaron and his friends too?" she asked him. What was it with nick names and people? Evil idea! "So are you going to give this kid a nickname?" she questioned, poking Parker for a third time. "What's Jimbo's real name actually?" Thalia added with a confused expression.

”Ambition can be used for many things besides making a living,” Tobias pointed out. “It could be used towards excelling in a hobby or interest that might not provide money.” He took a gulp from his goblet. “But it’s good for careers, too.”

”I think you’ll find most of the Purebloods in this school live as riches-to-riches sort of people,” Tobias commented, ignoring the fact that he was being both stereotypical and a walking contradiction. “Rags-to-riches may be impressive, but it’s much less common.” Tobias knew that, and had respected that fact of life since he was old enough to understand money. For his own future, he knew exactly what he had in mind, and it was entirely attainable – he would make sure of that.

“You know…you bite the food. Food doesn’t bite you.” Severia, Tobias observed, was eating like a bird afraid of a worm.

Tobias clutched his fork in anger, holding his right arm down with his left so the utensil wouldn’t end up in the table. Severia had come across as young and naïve before, but this was just too much.
“How dare you,” Tobias said slowly, coldly, and angrily, “talk about your father as if he were merely a frog? Some of us don’t have any fathers to call animals, let alone inherit things from.” He was right to be wary of first years, he realized. Most of them were just so thoughtless.

“Not only do you insult his living memory, you insult his future death,” Tobias concluded, voice emotionless and icy. See if she could determine exactly what he meant by that. The evidence was in her words.

“Don’t you turn into a bird, too,” Tobias said sharply to Chaucer. “There’s no need to copy first years unless they’re doing something impressive.”

Reese tried her best to not show any facial expression when 5 points were deducted from Slytherin. It was only the FIRST day and they were in negatives. What a great start of the term this was turning out the be, the Slytherin thought. She reached for her cup of pumpkin juice on the table, and then brought the cup up to her mouth and took a few sips before placing the cup right back on the table.

It was alll going to be okay. They would be able to make up for those lost points, right?

Yay! Slytherin had received 4 points, which only put them at -1. "Will do, sir," she replied before even realizing she didn't know what he taught. Due to the fact that the Professor was already heading back to the staff table, she just shrugged her shoulders and turned back around on the bench to face her plate of food. She would find out later what subject he taught.

"There aren't any crumbs because I already brushed them off." she mumbled, still trying to get all the 'crumbs' off of herself. Wait what? Looking up at Destiny, she watched as her friend picked up a handful of carrots, and that smirk on her face...She was too shocked to really do anything but, Destiny didn't throw the food at her. Nope. She threw it at Josh. A few carrots did land in her lap though as they bounced off him. Scowling, she pushed those off too before looking around some more.

Missing the 'present' comment since she was imagening throwing a huge ball of food at both Destiny and Josh and Lawsguini, she turned her attention back to Kylie when she mentioned goofing off. "Like, pranks and stuff?" she asked with raised eyebrows. Well that was good news. "Because we found a new person."
