The Ravenclaw common room is a wide, circular room at the top of the seventh floor. Graceful arched windows punctuate the walls, which are hung with blue-and-bronze silks. During the day, Ravenclaws have a spectacular view of the surrounding mountains. Overhead, the ceiling is domed and painted with stars, which are echoed in the midnight-blue carpet. There are tables, chairs, and bookcases, and in a niche opposite the door stands a tall statue of white marble: Rowena Ravenclaw. A delicate-looking circlet has been reproduced in marble on her head with the tiny words 'Wit beyond measure is man's greatest treasure' etched into the diadem. The statue stands beside a door that leads up to the dormitories above.
Come in, have a seat and make new friends. Welcome to Ravenclaw!

Had she heard, Allison would have been up and hugging Cela from behind. Professing that love was everywhere! Men were scarce as of late, but in the real world there were too many of them! And that if worse came to worse she'd give her her brother!
Although...Allison liked torturing her brother, so maybe she'd lend Cela her brother. Or maybe just share him? Scratching her head on that thought Allison heard several giggles. Who on earth would be giggling so oddly at this time of day?
Wondering just that, Allison ignored that boy and his shifty eyes and ignored the conversation on the deaths in Hufflepuff. There was no use pondering on it, Allison would simply worry sick for her friends Anastasia and Arya.
Nudging Adrienne with her elbow she whispered just enough for the people around her to hear, "Who on the bloody hell is the giggling girl?" Allison gave giggles a small nod of her head and looked back at the people around her waiting for an answer.

She really wanted to talk to Professor Kazimeriz about it.
"A job! What kind? You know Plymouth right? He got a job at Slug and Jiggers." Cela was impressed by this, she wasn't a potionsy person and the idea of working for money was such a foreign concept. Foreign enough to intrigue her.
"I had a good summer mostly." A.revelation really. It was rare that she got a completely good one. It had been hard meeting her brother's son, but even that had been a good thing in the end.
Blink.
"I've seen one." Cela volunteered and promptly brushed. Even though it hadn't been an intentional choice on Cope's part, it probably wasn't a suitable movie to discuss with a crowd that included a couple of eleven year olds.
"Oh/" Celandine answered with a few blinks of confusion. "Well I'm glad you and Livvy are all good now." Celandine smiled at the Head Girl too. "Filming in Australia? Like the muggle movies? Do they make those in Australia?"
Blink Blink. We don't know these things.
"Well Pr... Mister Truebridge got him an internship last summer at a dig site in Amarna. So like, from doing that Cope got a recomendation and he got accepted into the Wizarding University of Cairo and he's studying Wizarding Archaeology." Celandine explained.
"Ohh so you're like, supposed to be in my year? How'd you fail? Forget to learn stuff? Distracted by stuff? It can't be because you're stupid on account of you wouldn't have been sorted into Ravenclaw." Celandine explained, her voice curious and cheerful. "My brothers all went to Durmstrang. They're all old though." Cela waved her hand dismissively.
She took in the grin and the laugh and the wink combo and cheerfully winked back. Not so bad? Prefects were supposed to be good looking, Cela was sure. Or else people would get bored looking at them for examples and stuff.
"Oh I know I am. Sit down and join us if you like!" She offered. "You know, I'd totally be happy to help you with any subjects you have trouble with. Maybe not Astronomy and Potions, I didn't do all that well on those." As in... she hadn't got Os in those two subjects.
Still.
"How do you like it so far? There are a whole bunch of transfers this term!" Cela gestured around the common room, pointing some of them out.
Celandine looked up as Neptune entered. She had written to her brother after sort of half distractedly meeting her on the train and stuff. Robert had written back with 'please be nice'. That sort of puzzled her. When was she not nice? She was Cela! People liked her and she liked people!
"Hi Neptune!" Celandine offered a cheerful greeting. She'd introduce her to the group she'd ended up surrounded in if Neptune wanted her to. And gosh was it getting big. Allison and Nina, Rachel, Livvy and Adrienne, Phoebus and Adam. She smiled at each of them as she mentally noted them, adding a wink for Phoebus and Adam for reasons she wasn't entirely sure of.
"Neptune Bott." Celandine supplied cheerfully. "Like the beans? My brother likes her sister an awful lot."

Of that Bott family.
Neptune's eyes moved from Kellen - ooo LA LA - to Miss Toussaint. Ugh - it wasn't that Neptune had anything against the girl. She really didn't. But the very sight of her reminded her of Ellsworth Bott, Neptune's elder and obnoxiously boring sister. She heaved a sigh and waved a greeting, "Hello Celandine. Are you doing well? You are not wearing your pretty jewelry, I see." ANd Neptune WAS wearing HER butterfly bracelet from RAIDEN. Yesssss she was.
Adrienne relaxed a little as Allison grinned at the group. Well, most of the group, but she was trying to ignore the mystifying fact the first year seemed angry at Phoebus. At least if she was grinning, it meant Allison was getting a little bit more comfortable. As far as she thought at least. And she really had been getting concerned for the girl. But as the girl excitedly talked about seeing Reid's movie, Adrienne sent a glance to Rachel, wondering if Allison knew about Reid having been at Hogwarts last year, and whatever was between him and Rachel. She certainly didn't know the boy, other than the random things she'd heard last term. But if Allison hadn't heard Rachel talking to Cela about him and Cope, this was certainly going to be an interesting conversation.
But then she was being nudged, and she looked over at the first year curiously, before glancing around at the question. Noticing the girl that was in question, she sent a smile at her before turning back to Allison for a second. "I'm not sure, but I imagine we'll meet her soon," she said quietly, before Cela answered her earlier sort-of-unasked reciprocal question about Professor Truebridge.
Turning back to the blonde prefect, she shrugged. "I don't know either. I mean, last term was crazy, even for me." Which reminded her she still wanted to talk to Professor Lawson about what she thought regarding what she'd helped do to Professor Lupa. "But I still don't see how he could do something like that. Or anyone at Hogwarts. Not normally, at least." Then she lapsed into silence as the conversations continued, waiting for any point to interject. It was interesting hearing what had happened with Cope, and then she heard Cela talking to one of the new boys that had joined them about classes. "Um, Phoebus is good at Potions," she said, before she could stop herself. "I'm more Charms and Divination. And then Transfiguration and DADA," she added, trying to backpedal a little as she realized she shouldn't have said that. Not that she thought anyone would come to her with questions about class.
And thankfully Cela seemed to know the girl Allison had been asking about, and answered the question for her. Adrienne filed the name away in her head before smiling at the girl again as she spoke to Cela. "Hi Neptune," she said in a friendly voice, figuring the girl would know she had gotten the name from Cela. "That's a really pretty bracelet you have there." Hmm, Neptune seemed to be a little less fond of Cela than the prefect was of, well, pretty much everyone, or maybe she was reading the situation wrong.

As he watched her curtsy Kellen realized he was being ridiculous. He couldn't just sit there craning his neck while talking; it was rude. Instead he stood up and offered a hand for her to shake, "Pleased to meet you, Neptune." The pleasing to the senses line was strange, but who was he to comment? He'd introduced himself to Allison by saying Hogwarts looked flame-proof. Now why did her name sound familiar...? Ah well, he'd remember later.
His eyebrows rose, "As in, Bertie Bott's? My, Hogwarts attracts all kinds, doesn't it?"
His eyes followed hers to Celandine, and he offered the prefect a smile. Do not get on the bad side of girls with power.

Bertie Bott's? Now that was interesting. Hopefully this time she wouldn't turn away. "Pleasure to meet you Miss Bott." he gave an awkward half bow. A poor attempt at what he'd seen Kellen do. Well, he tried right?

"Crap." she whispered to herself under her breath as she gave Kellen a death stare combined with a scowl. She would get her revenge back on Damien later.
"Your right Kellen." she replied through gritted teeth, snearing. Tora screamed unexpectedly causing Emilia to jump, maybe she had been petting a little to hard. Trying to get enough control of her nerves to at least seem even close to a normal person, Emilia breathed deeply.
"Nice to meet you." she said to the girl, placing a fake smile on her face, though her eyes still mirrored "DEATH TO KELLEN." in all their glory.

Celandine laughed cheerfully and tugged a low dangling pendant out from beneath her shirt.
"Nope wearing this one today. I think I'm saving that necklace for a special occassion, even though its Ravenclaw blue, it doesn't really go with the uniform." It was far too luxurious to serve as an accessory for a Hogwarts uniform.
"But I'm well!" As always! "Your hair looks especially shiny and pretty today." Cela commented a bit absently but no less sincerely.
She looked at Allison, catching her looks at Neptune, and smiled at the first year cheerfully.
Neptune reached up to touch her hair, that was actually always shiny due to very expensive shampoos and such. Neptune sometimes told her younger sister that her hair looked good when, in fact, it looked HIDEOUS. So it was probably Neptune's own fault that she doubted the sincerity of Miss Toussaint's comment and instead eyed her warily for a moment. "Indeed. Thank you. Yours is, I'm sure, at least as nice as mine." But surely no more!
"Has your brother sent you annoying owls yet?" Neptune was kind of hoping so. If she had to deal with Ellsworth, then Celandine had better be suffering too. Only fair.

MY my! Wasn't Neptune just soooo popular? Naturally she would be, being a Bott and all. She GIGGLED and performed a little curtsy once more. "Hi. Aren't you just lovely?" Well was she? Neptune waited for her to agree. She SHOULD agree.

Allison caught sight of the necklace and her inner hidden girlie girl began to knock on her brain. It was such an impressive piece, the blue so real, the chain so dazzling. When Cela released her necklace and let it fall Allison forced herself to break out of her trance.
"It's so pretty Cela! A present from someone?" Allison wanted to know. It didn't matter who had given it to Cela, it had probably been before Allison had popped up in Hogwarts. Then again it had only been hours since she arrived. And plus, Allison recognized that although she had adopted Cela as her big sister--in her head, Cela didn't know that yet.

And she was right. The girl had walked over and had spoken to Cela. And although Cela didn't seem aware of it, Allison had smelled animosity the moment Neptune had spoken. Whether it was aimed at Cela or something or someone related to Cela, Allison could care less.
To her great annoyance, Allison spotted the bracelet Adrienne had mentioned and nearly whined. The bracelet was beautiful. And that had given her a great feeling of poking Adrienne hard on the ribs for making her notice. Well whatever. She liked Cela's better. Sort of. But she did, however notice the butterflies on the bracelet, reminding Allison of her mother and her butterfly trademark. Which reminded Allison she hadn't seen her mother's butterfly.
No longer hiding from anyone, Allison sat up straight and let her eyes travel over the entire common room. The last time she'd seen the white butterfly enchantment was when she had left her things in her room. Odd.

As she was thinking the girl smiled at her, she smiled back, a warning in her eyes, "STAY AWAY FROM HIM." they said.
Emilia was shocked at herself for thinking such things, her emotions must be taking control of her more then she thought, was she being rational? She agreed half heartedly that she was and so she continued on the thought path which she had embarked on. Damien was her's, she didn't excatly know why, but he was; along with the cat. If only she had a cage big enough to keep him safe from all the prowling little girls. She then looked at Kellen, she would have to find one for him to.

As soon as Neptune got closer to him, inside the bubble so to speak, he remembered why her name sounded familiar. Raiden. Neptune. Raiden and Neptune. Overexcited and friendly. Overfriendly. Oh, fantastic.

As soon as Neptune released his hand and turned to Damien, Kellen's shoulders dropped just a tad. He hadn't realized they'd hiked themselves up. And that look from Emilia? Didn't matter at all. She can be social with other girls, he thought to himself. It'll be good for her.

Cela smiled back at Kellen, cheerful and apparently quite vapid, though anyone that knew her was aware that wasn't the case. Mostly.
Her attention flicked back to Neptune and nodded. Of course Cela had nice hair too. It was important to make sure your hair looked pretty. Clean was kind of the most important thing.
Cela wrinkled her nose.
"I have four brothers you know. So... four annoying letters." Mostly annoying. There were good parts too. "I don't know why they've all decided to write to me lots. I mean, I got stuff on the train, you know?"
Sigh.
Must be because there technically wasn't anyone left at Hogwarts to make sure she didn't get in trouble.
Unless you counted Garret.
We don't count Garret.
Garret= Trouble.
Celandine looked at Adrienne next and shrugged helplessly in response. If she had to bet on it, she'd say that the whole thing with Professor Truebridge was a way of trying to get the real culprit to show themselves.
A present? Cela idly brushed at the links of the chain her pendant hung from and smiled at Allison. "Yes it was. Ages ago. I made one of my brother's buy it for me when we were at a store one time."
She'd kind of whined about it. Good thing she'd grown out of that.

Damien shrank back a little from the look Emilia had in her eye. She was nice girl, but man....you just didn't want to get her angry. Kind of reminded him of a friend he had back home, who was more like a little sister. They both had the same fire in their eye, and sometimes you just had to step back or face the consequences. He smiled back to Emilia, trying to delay the inevitable.

The giggles ERUPTED from Neptune as her hand went into his. She pulled herself closer to him. "Indeed, it does, Kellan Stern, and likewise to Bertie. Though Bertie is long since dead and my father, Bob, runs the business." But everyone knew that, right?
Neptune kept his hand, claiming it her own for the duration of these introductions that she was happily nodding along to. She'd PROBABLY agree to anything Kellan suggested though, to be fair. "It is my first year here as well," though if meeting NEW people was all that great was yet to be decided. She could FEEL the eyes on her in this room. That chap with the cat, in particular. He was looking better though, now that the feline had moved on... Neptune was attentive to this Emilia long enough to be considered polite before turning her FULL and BRIGHT smile on Damien.
To him, she offered her hand. To Emilia, well, she at least offered another smile. Ish.
He smiled back to Neptune, and accepted the offered hand. Shaking it politely. She was an interesting individual. "What do you think of the school so far?" he asked, genuinely interested.
Odd.
Attentive to the fans children in the room, Neptune did finally make eye contact with this girl. Who knew what she was doing really, looking about as if searching for something, but nonetheless, Neptune granted the girl a moment of her attention.
...
Yes that was plenty right? Her mother would be proud? Yes.

She then looked at Kellen, she would have to find one for him to.
...?
Neptune's smile and giggles subsided for a moment at that look. It was a bit challenging wasn't it? "Pardon me, but what does that look mean? Are you trying to tell me something with your eyes? It's far better to communicate with your mouth and words I find. If you're capable, that is." There were so many unfortunate people out there that couldn't. Perhaps Emilia was one?

Neptune squeezed his hand and her little nose scrunched up at his greeting. He was no KELLEN, make no mistake, but he had a nice face. Nice manners. He probably smelled nice and he certainly wasn't giving her the stink!eye like.... Emilia. "It's certainly different than what I'm accustomed to. Did you see that we have no menus in the Dining Hall? No waiters? No service here at all, really. It's almost as if we're away at camp!" How very queer, right???

Neptune moved back beside Kellen - right beside Kellen - side to side with Kellen. She wrapped her pinky finger in the fabric of his clothing and held on TIGHT.

Garret= Trouble.
"I have at least that many myself," Neptune rolled her eyes. They were all... well they weren't ALL owling her and half of them were GIRLS. Sisters. "I'm not owling back." Neptune giggled at her own devilish ways.
He smiled back to Neptune, and accepted the offered hand. Shaking it politely. She was an interesting individual. "What do you think of the school so far?" he asked, genuinely interested.

Emilia had been waiting for the girl to finally approach her, and the type of comment solidified even more what she felt already.
"I don't have to tell you what I'm thinking, you know perfectly well what!" she spoke, her voice monotone.
Emilia watched Damien out of the corner of her eye as he smiled at her, she was completely ready to forget about being mad at him for what he had done earlier, when he smiled at her. It was that shy innocent little child smile that always seemed to melt even the hardest of hearts, or the most heated of rages. However it all went to pieces when he shook "HER" hand.
"Breath Emilia." she told herself,"Lets be civilized."
But how dare he, her mind reeled...he had yet to even ask her that question and he was asking it to someone he barely knew. She gave up with a huff and curled her knees up under her chin, she flopped like a rag doll letting her hands drag on the carpet, she sighed heavily, would she ever understand herself, let alone boys!

Adrienne had to struggle to not raise an eyebrow in incredulity at Neptune's response to her compliment, or show anything other than politeness and friendliness. Something told her Neptune Bott wasn't the type to take teasing very well. Her blue eyes flickering around to the rest of the group as she tried to figure out exactly how to answer a question like that, stopping for a bit longer on Phoebus as she had the most bizarre and random thought pop up in her head about one of the reasons she had been wondering if he'd been avoiding her, she finally made a decision and looked back at Neptune, smiling again. "Why thank you. You seem rather lovely yourself, fitting that you own that bracelet," she said, feeling like anyone that knew her really would know how much of that was completely put-on. Not that she didn't like jewelry, although she didn't wear a lot of it on a regular basis, but they'd be able to tell she didn't quite know how to take Miss Bott. But she could feign it quite well.

And then Cela sort of responded to her musing about Professor Truebridge with a shrug, and Adrienne's eyes went back to her as she gave her a kind of vague smile. She just hoped someone would figure out who actually had done the murders, so they could stop wondering why Professor Truebridge had gotten fingered. And if it was some sort of ruse, she felt sorry for her former History of Magic professor. He didn't deserve that.
"I only have two brothers," she said kind of randomly, feeling like she needed to keep talking before she felt really awkward in the group. "But Riley's here at Hogwarts, so he'd have no reason to write to me." Not that she thought he ever would, even if they hadn't been twins and therefore rarely not in the same location. At least with school. That might change after this term, but she still didn't think he'd bother to write to her. Christopher might, if he felt the need to, but he wasn't much of a letter-writer.

He raised an eyebrow as she moved back beside Kellen. Judging by the way she was holding on to the fabric of Kellens shirt, it didn't look like she was going to let go anytime soon.

Looking side to side Allison then saw as Neptune squished herself next to Kellen. And that made her lose the feeling and amused her instead. Wanting not to laugh but being unable to--due to Kellen's expression, Allison choked on her laugh and wheezed instead.
Now wanting to seem more rude than necessary Allison spoke between hard breathings, "I...You know! It's great...really!...Botts...candy! Awesome!..." Finally catching her breath Allison wiped her eyes and gave Adrienne a comfortable smile. She no longer remembered she was Quidditch Captain, so that made Adrienne just a beautiful older student who had been very kind to Allison, "I have one older brother! He's...23 I believe. I'm pretty sure he won't write. He leaves that to meh mum. And meh mum swore she'd write once a week. Knowing her she'll send me a letter tonight." Which once again reminded her that she needed to send one off herself.
With a frown Allison reached into her robes and pulled out a small piece of paper. And disappearing into her robes she searched for a muggle pen. At the moment a pen and a paper were more convenient to Allison than the parchment and quill waiting by her bedside.
Popping up she gave a grin and began to write with a half-ear still listening to things going around her.
Damien chuckled at that. "It is different isn't it? But I see no fault in it. The food is wonderfull, and theres no wait on service. Though I will admit, having a menu before hand would be nice. That way you would know what was going to appear, and if it suited your tastes."

For my sanity, if nothing else?
Emilia heard mummerings around her, none of which registered in her brain...what she did catch was "Alright?" , "Emilia." , "Floor" and "Tantrum".
She looked up with a groan, dark circles under her eyes, she must look like some type of drug addict or something. Kellen's voice broke through the fog in her brain.
"Could we just start again here? For house unity if nothing else?"
She thought about it. The vibe coming off the girl hadn't changed any, she would have to be the weaker one of the two, she concluded. She would have to be the one to breech the gap first. Though she had created it herself, hadn't she?
"For unity." she grumbled holding out her hand to the girl. "and my guys."she added in her brain.

GASP! Neptune ... well. WELL. Who .. who did this young lady think she was? Speaking to a BOTT in such a manner! Her eyes scanned everyone in their vicinity, making sure that everyone was equally aghast at the uncalled TONE and NASTINESS seeping from thisone. "If I knew perfectly WELL what you were thinking, then I should not be here now. Surely I'd be even more famous than I am now for being a very talented mind reader."
..
"But that's okay. I'm not really all that interested in what you think anyway." Truth.

Neptune couldn't reply to this. No, instead she simply gestured to Emilia for Adrienne to SEE. DID SHE SEE what just happened, too? Perhaps Neptune needed a bodyguard.....

Calming. This one, this face, this Damien was a very calming and kind soul. "I find myself agreeing with you. At least a choice of this or that. Like at the Balls or weddings? Even there I get a choice usually of beef or fish." But what silly chatter this was considering there was a girl flailing about on the floor! "I think I'll sit with you next time we eat, if you'll have me."

Ohhhhhhhhhhhh.
Her hero. Oh he was so attentive to Neptune! She visibly SWOONED when he took her hand in his. "I'm willing, at least." Yeah... Neptune would have done annnyyyyythiiiiinnnngg for Kellen. Neptune wasn't ... sure. The girl, in at least Neptune's mind, was practically foaming at the mouth with absurdness. But surely Kellen would protect her from her harm and rabies? Surely. Bravely, she reached out her hand but made no offer of unity. Errr no, thanks. You go be your own entity, crazy girl.

Reason: Errr offer offer offer offered.
Damien gave her a smile and a nod of the head. "I would be delighted, and I'm sure Kellen would be as well." he said, noticing how she seemed to cling to the other boy. It would be interesting if she met Chaucer or Sabel. Now that would be the conversation of the day.
"Are you quite alright? Are you choking? I fear I do not know you well enough to perform any mouth to mouth here but...." Neptune waved around for someone else to jump in and do that. Save the young girl, won't you??
GASP! Neptune ... well. WELL. Who .. who did this young lady think she was?

Ohhhhhhhhhhhh.
Her hero. Oh he was so attentive to Neptune! She visibly SWOONED when he took her hand in his. "I'm willing, at least." Yeah... Neptune would have done annnyyyyythiiiiinnnngg for Kellen. She watched her hand hidden in away in his, safe and warm and OH maybe she'd write home after all! Have her brother look up the Stern family... send them FREE Beans... for life....
Emilia held her mouth closed as Ms.Bott asked Damien to sit with her at the next meal. She could put up with her well enough now, but having to sit through a whole meal of her bantering, Emilia was sure she was going to go insane.
Emilia took the girl's hand as she hestently stuck it out to her (like she was some wild animal in a petting zoo) and shook it gently, though from what Emilia could tell from the girls eyes, they hadn't agreed to anything. She hoped that at least Kellen believed it.
Emilia had put herself out there for her, gone beyond what her personality would have allowed and tried to make ammends, but now she felt rejected. At the current moment in time she just wanted to shrivel up in a little ball and return to Iceland, return to the country, return to a place where everyone saw each other as equal and their weren't any stuck up snobs. She knew tons of friends who were what Muggles deemed rich and they didn't act anything like this girl.
"For unity." she grumbled holding out her hand to the girl. "and my guys."she added in her brain.

Kellen sighed. Neptune was swooning. And he'd reached a hand out to steady her. That... he stared at his hand on her shoulder... was a reflex he didn't know he had. Okay, he thought to himself, she's dating Raiden. That's what he said. So it's okay if I do this, because she's not single and therefore half her crazy genes are gone. He blinked. That... is a terrifying thought.
"There, see? Not hard at all." Keep up appearances, that Kellen knew. These two could very well want to scratch each other's eyes out, but as long as they didn't that was a start. Besides, their prefect was Right There.
And now they would be eating dinner together. Again, this was fine. Raiden could come too. Raiden would come too, because the next time Kellen saw him he'd drag the boy to the Ravenclaw table. Prefect or not.

Emilia smiled at Kellen as the girl swooned into his arms. He had a lot on his plate and she took humour in his troubles, or any guy's troubles with that girl.
She stood and wobbled a little trying to get her balance after sitting for so long. She put her hand out to brace herself on Damien, but she missed, catching Kellen's shoulder instead.
She smirked at him and stifled a yawn that was making it's way to her brain.
"I'm going to go check out my room." she spoke only half coherently, so it actually sound like one long word. She smiled at Kellen again.
"Night Damien." she said, pecking Kellen on the cheek, "Love you!"
With that she trapsed haphazardly up the girl's staircase.

Neptune WOULD have performed a series of HAPPY!Claps if her hand had not been otherwise engaged. "Delighted? Oh stop. You'll make me blush." Oh waaaatch her blush now anyway! GIGGGGGLES!

Since Kellen had taken an OBVIOUS and INSTANT interest in her, and quite clearly wanted a hug - Neptune was obliged to give him one. Her free hand wrapped him UP in a SQUEEZY embrace, complete with a bit of a nuzzle to his shoulder. "You sure are good... with her." Her being completely deranged and a nutjob to boot.

...
Erm. Neptune's worried eyes zoomed to Kellen's cheek to look for signs of distress. "Oh my. How... are you quite alright? I think I'll be sleeping out here on the couch tonight." For safety, right?? Or perhaps with that Toussaint girl with the badge. That would ...probably be safe. And Cela would HAVE to let her because of her brother and all. Yes. Good plan.

Oh, Kellen was distressed all right. From the squeezy hug to the nuzzling of the shoulder to the girl leaning on his shoulder to the kiss on the cheek. Kellen Stern was distressed across the board. His face, however, had apparently gone on screen-saver. He looked like he was watching people pass on the sidewalk in front of his house, or maybe watching a classic movie for the fifth time in a week.
Very slowly, he reached up and rubbed his cheek with the back of his hand, using more pressure with each scrub. Then he turned to Damien and tapped the back of his hand against the boy's cheek, "Here," his voice was flat, "I think this was meant for you."
He looked back down at Neptune, putting both hands on her shoulders and stepping out of her embrace. At least with her he managed a little more emotion. A little, "I'm fine. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to put my shoes on."
And that's exactly what he did. He walked over to the chair he'd sprawled on earlier and left his things by, and proceeded to slowly and methodically lace up his shoes.

Damien watched it all with a stunned look on his face. Had that just happend? From the blank look on Kellens face, it had. He was quite sure he resembled a fish out of water right now, and his face was probably bright red too. Oooook....we were not going to mention this again for a while. Hopefully Emilia would have forgoten what she did next time he saw her. But with his luck she woundn't..
He watched as Kellen walked off to tie his shoe. Should he appologize? go see if he was ok? He really wasn't sure. Where was that cousin of Stern's when you needed him. He'd say something witty and snap Kellen out of his daze. He decided it was best to leave him alone for a while.
Turning back to Neptune, he excused himself as politely as he could without mumbling stupidly, and went to sit in an empty chair. Close enough to Kellen that if he wanted to talk he could, but far enough to give him some room for a while.
