| | | HoM 2 Today, Professor Svensson had rearranged the desks so that they all faced the front. There would be no circular discussion today. Instead, pairs of desks were arranged in rows. A Muggle map of Europe hung on the board, and several stacks of brightly coloured parchment sat on the professor's desk. The professor himself stood behind his desk, looking fairly pleased with the arrangement of the room. |

| Double Agent Stamps! "If I lived in Hogsmead, my family would have more freedom than we would if we lived in a muggle community. I still would not be able to perform magic, but my parents could without fear of breaking the Secrecy laws. I also would not have to continually have disillusionment charms placed on my unicorn, so she appears to be a regular horse. We could all interact with the other members of the community as witches and wizards. We would not have to try to play muggles. Living in a muggle community, you would have to try and fit in with the muggles. You would have to hide thing such as cauldron, broom, potion supplies, anything that hints at the occupents of the house being something other than muggles."
"I think it would be unbearable to be the only wizard family in a town. You could never be yourself except in your home, and even then you would always have to have your guard up. I would imagine the safest thing for my family to do would be to isolate ourselves as much as possible from the muggles in town. That would also be unbearable. I can't imagine not having friends or being able to leave your property. My parents would also have to constantly keep disillusionment charms up to protect our identities. It would also be hard to perform magic outside of the house. You would have to be constantly on the guard keeping an eye out for noisy muggles." |

"I think living in Hogsmeade wouln't be too different from how I live now. Since I'm underage, I can't go around casting outside of school anyway, but we don't have to take much caution in what we're doing. Living in Tinsworth or in a muggle town I imagine you would have to be more conscious of what you're doing to keep them from finding out. Being all alone in a muggle town... I'd guess you'd probably look for interaction elsewhere, like heading to Diagon Alley or flooing somewhere else. Probably try to find work where other wizards are. This helps because you would be able to find someone to freely talk to, which can be important in keeping your sanity."

"Well if a a wizard lived in Tinworth they waould only be able to use magic sparingly so muggles would not notice but they get to see first hand how muggles live at glimpse. If you live in an area with just muggles you would not be able to use magic much at all without getting caught but you would get to learn how to live like a muggle because thats how you would have to live most of the time as boring as that may be. If you live in Hogsmeade you would be able to be yourself as a wizard using magic in you're daily life all the time but you won't know anything about the muggle world because you never get to experience it and therefore you won't be a well rounded person knowing both sides just in case because there are very few places with just wizards and more then like at some point you'll have to know atleast a little about about muggle ways to get by unscathed.".

Amadeus raises his hand and said " Sir i think if a wizard or witch lived in Tinworth they would have to be careful where they use magic so muggles don't see them. Sir i also thought of a new place, Budleigh Babberton where Horace Slughorn used to live.

Nymphy kind of felt like correcting that last comment. Slughorn didn't really live in Budleigh Babberton, he simply stayed there for a week to hide from death eaters, but didn't say it mostly becasue the boy was another Hufflepuff.
"I think the most important aspect that hasn't been said yet, is that the wizard would have a responsibility to protect and defend the muggles if nessicary. Casting simply protective charms and keeping a close eye on any suspected magical activity would be a froemost responsibility for any witch or wizard in a town like Tinsworth" he said. This was possibly his favorite class. He relished in it!

Becca raised her hand. "I think you'd be more aware of the lifestyle of muggles and possibly appreciate the fact that you can use magic. As opposed to growing up with magic all around you and thinking that it's a natural part of life and taking it for granted. And you'd know more about how the muggle society is run and such." She knew about living like this, because only two of her siblings were wizards and the rest of her family were muggles. It really wasn't very difficult.
