Shaylee nodded and said, I know its pretty crazy! Time flies. She finished her pudding and said, Well I have been splentastic. My summer was good, It was good to re connect with my family. The word splentastic sorta just came out, but Shaylee liked it.

Shaylee stoped for a moment to wonder what was going on through Liz's brain, but let go when she saw a plate of brownies. She nodded and said with her mouthful, I know, super tough. I can't stand this i can't wait until i become of age.

That's great! Lizzie answered Shay, trying her hardest to remember what family problems Shay might have had. Though she couldn't recall any details, she was glad for her friend. I did my biggest accomplishment ever in making my brother move back home. Not that I forced him but well I kinda did.. she smiled and reached for another cookie.

Why do you want to become of age Shay? Lizzie wondered curiously. Is it because of the "no magic at home law" or what? Me for one thing, I wish I was a firstie again...

Ooh brownies. Dem picked one up and put it on her plate next to the pile of cookies. "Splentastic. Good word." she said to Shay. "Might have to borrow that one." she bite into a chocolate chip cookie when the thought occured to her. "Guys, in two more years we will be of age wizards. How weird is that?" she kinda zoned off. "I'm with Lizzie on this one. I'd much rather go back to my bright-eyed and bushy-tailed firstie years."

Lizzie nodded in approval as Dem spoke. Firsties' are lucky. Everything's so simple then. She looked at the brownies for a second, then decided she really didn't feel like having any chocolate. Weird, didn't she love chocolate. She checked the note in her pocket. Nope it wasn't chocolate that she was allergic to. Licorice, yes, but chocolate... Well, maybe she was just too stuffed after having all that pudding.

"I know, right. When your a firstie everything is so new and you get away with so much." she thought in her head about the first time she ever stepped foot in Hogwarts. Her first year was probably her best. It was the year she met everyone that she's friends with now. *Sigh* If only she could be a firstie again....

Yeah, though I didn't do much bad stuff back then Lizzie said thoughtfully. Weren't we so excited to go to class? she giggled, thinking about how not-too-excited she was now. Though she was glad to be back, classes included.

Well, we can't do much about it she said with a smirk. Unless we somehow travel back 5 years in time... she zoomed off a little, studying the darkening ceiling above their heads.

Nina walks over to meet the Gryffindors.
"Hello, my name is Nina." She announces when she arrived.

"Hello, Brant. Feeling better?" Severia asked, as she reached the Gryffindor table. But, of course HE feels better, he just took a long nap! I could use one of those! She thought, seeing how refreshed he looked.

Alex smiled warmly at the younger girl. "It is nice to meet you Roxxy." She said grinning, and then she titled her head as she heard her question. "Well after the feast we go up to our common room and head to bed..We need to rest up for the start of classes tomorrow!" She nodded.

Alex rolled her eyes at Warren. He was acting like the worlds biggest idiot, and she didn't know why. Had he sneaked in butterbeer or something? Did he have a fever? She eyed him worriedly. "Are you alright lil brother, you are acting off." She narrowed her eyes as he leaned in and spoke to her. "I know.. I am working on it!" She whispered back.. Merlin what did he think she was? A magician?

"Trust you? Not when you laugh like that!!" Alex pointed out as she heard Chris's evil chuckle. Seriously, the boy sounded like he could be on a horror movie! She broke into laugher though as he put the knife down and started to laugh. She laughed along with him, he really was wayy to fun to be around. She nodded. "Yes as one, it could get interesting.. and dangerous." She smiled, She could almost imagine all the times they would hit each other in the head with various objects. "Yes we should try it!"

"I can tell." Alex raised an eyebrow as she watched Chris's food fall off his fork, and she giggled at his next line. "In no way was I referring to you as an incapable vegetable, I was just saying that it seemed like you needed help.." She laughed more as his heard his stomach growl. "No, we wouldn't want you wasting away.. Are you reconsidering my offer?" She asked with a smile.

Alex smiled a bit. "Psshhh who needs sleep boy when there is food to get!" She smiled a bit.. "Okay, how about we make it oh eleven hundred, does that work better?" She asked shaking her head. Boys.. she had actually just been kidding about the time.. She liked to sleep in as well. "A mess I made huh? I don't think that would happen really. You would be the one making a mess, because you were awed at my brilliance." She winked at him, Ohh two could play this game.

"Oh my Dear Sweet Chris, I promise I shall never leave your sight again!" Alex's other hand went to her heart, "For if I leave your sight, my heart would shatter on the ground in a million pieces." Her voice was highly over dramatic.. "No, I don't think I did hit my head.. perhaps you are delusional.." She wondered.

"No worries, I will be careful, Honestly." She said in a warm sincere voice.

"Definitely," said Gwen. From what she heard, the common rooms are the best source of comfort. She imagined herself sitting in a giant comfy couch in front of a warm roaring fire.

"Did you bring any animals with you here?"

Nina spotted another first year and walked over to her.
"My names Nina." She told her. "I'm a first year too."

Shaylee nodded and said, Well I just want to be able to fix all the things i break in my house, I tend to knock things over a lot. But i do really miss beinga firstie. She poured herself some pumpkin juice and looked up at her two friends.

You're right, that would make it useful Lizzie said thoughtfully. I'm just not used to the thought of being an adult. Just think about it... We will have to live on our own, get married, have a job, pay bills... at all the responsibility! She shrugged and smiled a little. So Shay, are you trying out for the Quiddich Team? she asked, not too sure of herself but wanting to hear about Shay's plans for the year.

Shaylee nodded and said, Yeahh being an adult is going to be soo weird!
Shaylee pondered Lizzie's question for a moment. She had always loved flying, but she probably wouldn't try out for the team. Im not sure, I've thought about it, but I don't know. Shaylee didn't bother asking if Lizzie would, she knew she didn't like flying.

Brant was happy that Seve was here. "Whats up little sis?, sorry that i spewed back there. Atleast I told you ladies move your shoes eh. "Brant started to laugh."So how are things foing for you?, besides me getting sick"

Kat dazed off but was brought back inti their conversation when she heard her favorite word. PAYBACK!!! "Ooohh payback?" she said excitedly. This would mean she could pull some pranks on someone. "So considering the fact that I am Lucys best friend I choose to be on her side. " she grinned at Tyler. "Youll let me help you right Lucy?"

"Don't worry about. It just happened again at the Slytherin table. Apparently I'm a vomit magnet." Severia said with a smirk. "Besides about a quarter of the few people I know getting sick, everything is lovely!"

Lizzie smiled back, thinking. Yeah and just imagine having your own kids come here to Hogwarts one day... she made a face at the thought, then listened to Shay talk answer about Quiddich. OK. I don't think I will either. She shrugged, and added No definitely not. Can't recall a single time I enjoyed flying. So what's your favourite class?

Shaylee smiled and said, Me having kids...Woah. She sipped her pumpkin juice and said, Hmm my favorite class is either Transfiguration or Herbology. I have a thing with plants. What about you? She asked her friend.

"Oh, man I just think that everyone is just soo excited, Man. What a great way to start the term. Oh well tho, Its all good. I just can't wait to get on my broom!" The only thing that was going though his mind right now was Quidditch, and Miranda was there too. I wonder where she is? He thought. "Man, I ate soo much food. I wouldn't mind some more sleep right now. and a Nice Pillow"

"I wish I could play Quidditch. It seems like so much fun! But right now, the pillow does sound a little better. I'm exhausted! Meeting new people is tiring! There are so many names to remember." Severia laughed, for the first time in a while.

Tori turned to Carter ad replied, "Oh I went camping with my mom after I visited Rhea at her house. Had fun.", with a smile."And you?"

"No I didn't", said Ginny sadly. "What about you?".

It was all so...big. Eleven year old Gabrielle, or Gabby, turned her head from side to side and then craned her neck back to look up at the ceiling, trying to take it all in. How was she going to find her way around here? She knew that there were older students who could help, but they looked quite intimidating.

Her features scrunched up in thought as she looked back down at the empty plate in front of her. This was supposed to be a feast, but no food?

A few moments passed as she sat in thought, unsure of whether or not she should talk to anyone around her. She usually didn't have trouble doing so, but this was all so new..and quite frankly, unnerving.

A loud voice startled her from her thoughts and she looked towards the high table at the front of the hall. A man was standing, welcoming the students. And then spoke about someone dying. Dying? Someone died? Who? When? Where?

Gabby shifted uncomfortably upon the benches just as food appeared on the table. What had she gotten herself into?

"Right, because shoving a piece cupcake in someone's mouth is nice," Tyler snapped at her. Just what did he do to her to deserve almost choking to death and Lucy hitting him on the arm. "So me kissing you on the cheek was embrassing? Well then, I'll make sure to never do it ever again," he said and moved away from her. "Give me your best shot, Lucy McLean," Oh great. Now Kat got involved in this. Maybe he should've stayed back home.
