Sabel glanced over at the girl across from her, still fiddling with her ring. She looked about as anxious as he felt about being around students he didn't know. He vaugely wondered what the story behind the ring was, but figured that maybe wasn't the best ice breaker. "I have heard the pumpkin pie here is quite good." As soon as the words left his lips he winced visibly; why his tongue had a habit of running ahead of his thoughts was beyond him, but he figured it was something akin to the two left feet he had apparently been born with. He glanced at her, not sure of the response he would recieve.

James had taken his sweet old time to get to the Gryffindor table. After a while, though, he finally came to his senses and realized he should probably look for a place to sit. He noticed Chris sitting with a girl he didn't know and Roxxy was coming to join him. James walked over to her and said, "Hey, Roxxy, I knew you'd get into to Gryffindor! We're the best house there is! Brilliant job. We won the house cup last year, so you'll have to help us win it again, this year." James patted her on the back in what he considered to be a congratulating manner.

Sigh. This was Fyo's house table. Yeah was. How she so so much wished her best friend was still at Hoggy-warts. It wasn't FAIRR! He shouldn't of left because well because it wasn't his turn to he was only a fourth year only a year older than she was everyone knows your not meant to leave before your seventh year so why did Fyo have to go ? Why him ? It wasn't fair. She sat down at the table and burried her head in her hands.

"Yeah I'd love to", said Ginny with a nice face.

Ginny thought in her mind that she would make the Gryffindor team sometime during her time at Hogwarts.

"Are you from a muggle family?", asked Ginny.

"Yeah I'm a first year and I love it here already", she said.

Ginny thought through her mind that she was going to have a great time a Hogwarts because she felt like she belonged here and was very confident.

"It looks like you've been here before if I'm correct", she said with a bit cough. "Are you a second year?".

Lucy laughed when he said she was killing him; she let go reluctantly. They were just cucpcakes, mind you, chocolate ones, but still...they were from BLAKE. She had to be excited.

"I know they're not diamonds, silly, but we barely even know each other and you decided to bring me these...it's very generous and kind of you, Mr. Wright," She said with a giggle.

"And tell your mother I think she's the best cook in the whole world," Lucy added with another grin. He was definitely the best guy friend she had. But when she covered up her 'I love you' mistake, he seemed...okay. But you could definitely tell he was a bit embarrassed.

"Aww, Blakey, you do?" She said with a giggle when he told he he loved her more. Boys. And then he swooped down and lightly kissed her cheek--Lucy's face turned a pink-ish color but she was pleased. Eeeeeeep! Blake Wright had just kissed her cheek--incredible. She smiled when he was done.

"Aww, thanks Blakey. You're awesome," She said, holding the lunchbox in her hands as if it was a baby. She wanted to save them forever, but she knew they wouldn't last. So she might as well enjoy their delicious taste.

Lucy looked over as Kat spoke.

"Yep, he did," Lucy said nodding her head. But then she saw Kat looking around for someone--who??

"Who are you looking for?" She asked her curiously.

Noticing a familar head of brown hair, Lucy turned to look at a girl that sitting at the table. Then she recognized her--it was Shana, who probabaly hated her now because of the whole 'cat' thing. She walked up to her and placed a hand on her shoulder so as not to startle her.

"Hey Shana--are you okay?" She asked her quietly. The poor thing--she looked upset.

As he was passing by Art saw a rather depressed looking Shana at the Gryffindor table. He adored Shana and hated to see her sad. Her head was buried in her hands and he thought that she looked as though she would cry again. He walked over to her and bent down beside her. He frowned at her sadness. "Hey there sweet Shana." he smiled warmly. "Why the long face dovey?" Art said sweetly and put his hand upon her shoulder. He was a little worried about her.

Shana lifted her head slightly and saw Art. She through her head back at her arms and sighed. She missed Fyo so muuuuch. She wished he was here like right now talking with her and Art. She decided she couldn't ignore him cause that was just rude. She lifted her head up and lay it on his shoulder. "Hey Art." she smiled. "Meh. I miss Fyo." she sighed looking down at her feet.

Alex laughed. "Of course I am kidding you!" She said with a giggle. However her eyes grew wider as he spoke and she could hear anger in his voice. Had she really made him angry? She was only just kidding. He.. knew that right? "No! No, I am sorry.. I will be the best tour guide ever!!" She cringed a little as he shouted down the table. Great.. Now ever girl within a 4 mile radius of the table would come running! And sure.. look here came a little firstie to bother them.. Alex narrowed her eyes at the girl and shooed her off. Couldn't she see that they were talking.. Uggghhh.. Firsties!!!

Alex could see the odd look in his eyes, and she hurriedly corrected herself. "Umm, not a date. More of a get together? Two friends having fun?" Alex wanted to pound her head on the table at the moment.. Goodness.. this usually didn't happen. This weird flirting friends thing.. She sighed a bit.. It was going to be a long year, she could just feel it. "Good! I do as well!" She said as she tried to laugh off what had just happened. "Yes it would be more reliable! And of course! What is a thunderstorm without popcorn?" She asked laughing a bit. Getting back into a rhythm.

She started to laugh as he questioned her, and she answered all his questions, "A Fork, a portrait, twelve, and well is it an African or English swallow?" She laughed out as he spoke. Those questions were great! Especially the last one!

Alex giggled, "Well I didn't want to say that, I was trying to give you a compliment! Silly boy!" She said shaking her head, as she watched him get out the balls, "Oh no! A headache! And why would I have one of those?" She eyes the balls warily, "Are you going to chuck those at my head." She asked him smiling a bit as she reached out to take the balls from him.

Alex stilled a bit as she felt his hand on her shoulder, "Lands sake Good Sir! Are yall sure that you won't harm my poor ole' heart? You are so handsome, you make my heart all atwitter!" She giggled a bit, as she pushed her hair out of her face.

Chris looked up as he heard a familiar voice and grinned broadly as Roxxy came over. "Roxxy! Congratulations!" he said, scooting over to provide room for her to sit down. As she came closer he wrapped his arms around her in a hug. "How was it? What did they do?" he asked, noticing the relief on the young girl's face.

Chris looked up and smiled as James came over to join them. "Hey James, come on and take a seat," he said, indicating one of the benches. "Looks like you both survived getting off the train," he said with a smile. "Is it always that bad?" he asked James.

Chris laughed as she quickly tried to make up for her statement. "I'm just kidding- I wouldn't prefer anyone else to show me around," he said with a smile. He felt slightly bad about yelling as he saw her wince. "Sorry... that's just something we usually do back in the States," he said with a gently shrug. "I didn't mean it..." He frowned slightly as Alex attempted to shoo Roxxy away, wondering what had brought the sudden change of behavior.

He struggled to conceal a grin as she hastily corrected herself. "Sounds perfect," he said with a warm smile as Alex described it. This was going to be a fun year, he just hoped that Alex would feel the same. He was enjoying her company and didn't want to lose her friendship over some technicality. "Hmm... thunderstorm without popcorn? How about a hunger storm?" he asked with a grin.

"Well, I'm guessing you know English swallows better, so let's go with that one," he said, glad that she had gotten his reference. "Very good, you get an A+ for the pop quiz!" he said with a laugh. Then, he realized that he had fallen into the teacher role that Alex had just accused him of being.

"Well, I will take it as a compliment then," he said with a nod. "No, I would not throw it at you... at least, not willingly. I just see many juggling practices in your future," he continued with a wink. He watched as she took the balls, wondering what she was thinking of doing with them.

Chris felt his face redden slightly as she called him handsome and he couldn't help but smile at her. "Well, a pretty girl like yourself shouldn't have a injured heart," he said with a smile.

Aww poor Shana she looks so sad, even with me here. She must be really said. This Fyo person must have meant alot to her. He smiled lightly as she lifted her head unto his shoulder. He leaned hi shead against hers in a comforting gesture."Hello my sweet Shana." He returned the smile.

"Aww, I'm sorry Shana. Is there anything that I can do to make it better?" he asked sweetly.

Alex watched with a bit of surprise as she watched Chris hug the firstie and talk to her, and the other boy who came around. Wow, he was already popular. She smiled a bit, of course he would be..

She tried to get back into the mood of things, but someone something was off with her. She could feel it deep down, maybe it was just her ribs aching from the train incident, she put her hand up to her ribs and rubbed them a bit absently. "Thanks, but if you find someone else to show you around.. well." She shrugged a she smiled a bit, "No, it is okay! Honestly, I guess we are just quieter, but it is fine!!"

Ahh there is was.. The grin when she corrected herself. Yes, she could feel it now.. It was the whole friends things coming up. They were friends, nothing more. Well, it would be a fun year right? Right?? She was trying to convince herself of that when Chris spoke again, and she just had to laugh at his words. "A hunger storm?" She laughed a bit more, "Well, then by all means we should have not only popcorn but ice cream and chocolate!" She giggled a bit, she was really looking forward to a thunderstorm now.

Alex laughed as he spoke, He had gotten it. Or she had gotten his reference. She was excited, but she actually needed to think about the question now.. She would come up with an answer later. "Why thank you!!" She said grinning, "An A+! I wish all my grades were that good!" She exclaimed as she laughed a bit. She was pretty, not smart.. Well not Ravenclaw smart at least.

Ahhhh well that explained it! "Ohh yes, I will be practicing juggling alot! Now I know why the headaches. Apparently I will be dropping things alot? You never know! I might have hidden juggling potential! So after one time of practicing I will be perfect!" She grinned a bit, and then winked. "I bet I can beat you, next time we see each other at juggling!" She said laughing.

She grinned as she saw him blush, but her smile faded at his next words. "I think you would be surprised at how many times this pretty girl has hard her heart injured." She said softly, as she looked down at her plate which had filled with food. First her mother, than father. Than Damon, Torin, Damon again.. Her heart was probably falling to pieces at the moment.. It's a wonder she was still alive. She rubbed again at her ribs. The healer was right, she was sore.

Lucille approached the Gryffindor table where Alex was chatting to someone. It would probably be best to talk to her some other time, but she wanted to talk to her NAO.

She walked behind her and said "Alex," softly so as not to startly her by accident - she had already done enough damage for one night. She put one hand gently on Alex's shoulder and crouched down to her hight.

"Alex," she said again. "How is it? The rib i mean. It's goin to be ok, isn't it?"

"Well, I think Rex is just a normal everyday name, mam" Rex told Gwen. " Yes. I seem to be a bright student at home but we will see here at Hogwarts, mam" Rex said to Gwen. " I just might not be smart at all here" Rex told her." Well, I bet it will be fun here" Rex smiled back at Gunevere.

"Alexa, I am sorry to interrupt you, mam but I know who the girls are who picked on me" Rex said to her. " They are named Evelyn and destiny, both in Slyterin, mam" Rex told Alexa. "Do you know thos two girls? Rex asked her.

"Yes, its quite amazing" Evie said "so whats your story brad?" Evie asked couriously "got any family that go here" She added

"Thank you!" James said as Chris offered him a seat. Perhaps he should introduce himself to the other girl he didn't know... Nah. She didn't seem to be happy about Roxxy and himself coming over to talk to Chris. She might bite. Sometimes, older kids did that. James shied away from her slightly not daring to look at her with his big eyes. Chris spoke again, though, asking him about the trains.
"Actually, I'm not the best person to be asking that. After all, last year I was an ickle firstie, so I went on the boats. This was the first year that I've ridden the carriages up. It was quite exciting, though, wasn't it?" James asked.

Well it seems that talking about Marilyn and Nate was just something that wasn't going to happen between them. Ever. It was just a touchy subject before it was really even a subject. Not that he minded. There was things about Marilyn that Ella would freak out because of. He watched as Ella looked over at the Hufflepuff table. No Nate. Looks like they both had a case of missing significant others. He had a feeling he had much more to worry about than Ella did though. With everything that had been going on with her family he hoped nothing went wrong. Speaking of things going on... where was Rafe?

"That's awesome." Carter said about the whole 'enchanted yard' thing. "It must be cool growing up like that." He actually had a conversation with Mina about that. He smiled remembering the good time they had at the Quidditch Cup. "Hopefully we both make the team again." he said thinking about his lucky socks (that he hoped would be lucky) in his trunk. "I have no idea what I'd do without quidditch."

He then looked to see that Ella was talking to some little kid. Whoa! He wasn't a first year anymore! He could actually say that about people now!! "I'm Carter." he said introducing himself.

Tori looked up and saw her friends. She got up and went over. "Hey Carter. Hey Ella. How are you guys. Didn't see you on the train."she said.

Chris noticed as her mood seemed to deflate almost. "No," Chris said stubbornly. "You aren't getting out of it that easily... you signed up for being my tour guide, and I'm going to have you stick to it!" he said with a nod. "So..." suddenly the food appeared on the plates and he gaped. "What- How did that happen?" he asked, turning to look at Alex. "Come, madame Tour Guide... please explain," he said, showing true interest as he leaned his head on a hand.

"Mmmmm..." Chris said with a warm smile. "Icecream sounds perfect- we shall add it to the list!" he said with a grin. "But, how are we going to get said items? I'm guessing the nearest store is miles away- and off limits as well," he said, looking over at her to explain. "This will be the best thunderstorm we've ever been too!" he exclaimed with a laugh.

Ha chuckled as she talked about her grades. "You and me both," he said with a slight wince. "But, at least we know what we're good at!" he said, indicating the juggling balls that she still held. As she continued, he laughed. "You might! I shall never doubt again!" he said, shaking his head slowly. "Its a challenge then!" he added with a nod. "Are you sure you can be better than me? I've had the best instruction after all."

Chris's smile faded as she spoke. Raising a hand and placing it gently on her cheek he gave a small smile. "I promise to never injure your heart- you will always be able to owl me if it gets injured," he promised. They had only met- he had no room to make such promises to the girl. But... she needed it and he would be there. He noticed her rubbing her ribs and frowned slightly. "Are you alright?"

Chris looked up and gave a nod of welcome to the new girl. He moved away slightly so that the two women could talk alone. After all, that's what most women would want anyway.

Chris glanced over at the two women and gave a gentle shake of his head. When the time was right, he would introduce everyone later. "True- but I asked about the train," he said. "And you've had more experience in that then I," he pointed out with a grin. "I did like the carriages! We didn't have anything like that at school," he said with a grin.

"Everyone, there is a traitor Gryffindor in our house" Rex told everyone at the table. " He is a male" Rex said to them. " He prefers to help Sltyherin out to get Gryffindor's" Rex told them. Jason thought this guy had been cool. " Now I suggest we watch him closely as he is friends with Eveltn and Destiny. " I was teasing the girls and this boy said I am on their list" Rex explained to the table. " I have back-up " The Magical Five" but if any of you Gryffindors want to help. plase do" Rex explained to them. Rex will find that traitorous Gryffindor for sure. J found out his name, Joshua Cater" Rex called out to the table. He is plotting with the Slytherin Girls" Rex said to all.

Brad smiled.He felt so happy to be surrounded by his friends.He couldn't wait to see his dormitory.

"Nice to meet you.I'm Brad."He said,introducing himself to the other guy.

Evie had the biggest smile on her face and she couldn't seem to get it off. She was the happiest she's ever een but she kinda missed her mum and dad already. She was lookin around and eating random stuff she needed to find a nice gryffindor friend. In case she got lost and she needed someone to talk too.

"I can't wait either! When I first held my wand, I wanted to wave it at everything in the vicinity. Now I'll be able to," Gwen replied enthusiastically. "I think Defense Against the Dark Arts will be fascinating. Charms too, only because I can't wait to learn incantations. But I also think I would like potions. I've always been good with cooking things, and even though with potions you have to apply magic, I think it could be really cool!" she finished.

This is going to be a good year,

Sighing, Sabel rested his head in his hand as he picked absently at a rather elaborate but some how affordable napkin resting to the side of his plate. He quietly watched the rest of the Gryffindors as they talked about this and that, debated who and what and when. Things were getting interesting.

Dropping his hand he glanced to the other side of the table, blinking at what he had to describe as the most honest and wide smile he had seen across his table yet. The girl's happiness brought a small smile to his lips; it was nice to see students, for the time, enjoying school. Out of politness he gave her a small nod in greeting.

Evie just stared was that boy across the table nodding at her, he looked nice, older and he had a sweet face. She looked behind her and to either side of her to see if she had mistaked herself for someone but he was looking at her. She turned and gave him a smile her mum had always told her it was her best feature. They weren't to far away from each other so she slid a little and said "hi, my names Evie" and she held out her hand for him to shake.
