Jule was swing her legs from the arm rest when she heard someone greet her. It was probably another firstie trying to make friends or something, but boy was she wrong. She turned her head only to see Laura smiling at her. "Hey, hey," she greeted back and smiled. "Go on ahead," she gestured her hand towards the chair next to her. Sadly, she hadn't seen Laura since Diagon Alley. Laura even missed out on Jule pranking the firsties and Victoria. Ahh, what a priceless moment it was.

Virgi entered the common room very quietly. So this was her common room. "Nice," she thought to herself. She went over to a chair and sat down, staring at the fire.

Virgi got up and paced around the room. She was scared to be alone. Her best friend (her brother) was in Gryffindor, alone like her. "I'll see him at lessons," she accidentally said out loud. She realized everyone glanced at her and left.

Zelda quickly walked into the Ravenclaw Common Room from the Girl's Dormitory. It was bustling with various Ravenclaw students, but unfortunately, none of her freinds were to be found anywhere.

'Where could they be?' she thought to herself, perplexed.

Not wanting to wait any longer, she walked over to the fireplace in the center of the room, desperate to find someone kind to befirend.

jinx walked in the common room he was a first year and hadnt ment anybody on the train so he sat doen and started reading a book he had gotten for diagon alley

Laura grinned and flopped into the seat by Jule. "Seems like ages since I saw you," she said with a smile, thinking back to the last time they'd spoken. "I missed you on the train. How did things go?" she added with a grin. A grin like the mischeivious one she'd worn last year, and not like the saddened one she'd been wearing for the past few weeks.

Running her fingers through her hair, Laura began twisting a few strands around her fingers, and letting the spiral back to straight. It made her thing about how life was. For her at least. No matter how hard she tried to change it, it always went back to normal. And she'd tried to change it in Hogwarts, only to have her family change it as soon as she got home.

Thomas entered the common room sighing, school started and he needs to send a letter to his father and he will soon be doing homework. Ugh. He sat down on a chair taking out of his pocket a parchment and he stretched his hand and took out of his bag an inkwell and a quill. He placed everything on the table and began writing a letter to his dad. When he ended he took out of his pocket a small blue ribbon to hold the letter. He rolled up the letter and tied the ribbon around it tightly. He took the letter and walked out of the common room, heading straight to the owlry.

Matheu came into the Common Room and sat at one of the tables. He took out his book he has been reading since he recieved it from Florish and Blotts about a week ago. The book was titled Complex Runic Systems and he was reading it slowly, trying to make an understanding of the translations and practice. He already completed the textbook for the first years to sixth years. He was a study addict, he always needed something to do. But this book was really difficult to understand, but that should really matter. His father was a calculus teacher at Muggle colleges, and Matheu had a high intermediate math understanding. He asked his dad to teach some calculus to him, he understood it very well, so this shouldn't be too hard.
Taking out his notebook, he began translating, paying close attention to the angles and lengths of the runes.

Thomas walked again into the common room he needed to feed his adorable hamsters. He walked up to the boys dorm and got them. He walked towards a couch to sit or relax on. He sat on the couch and placed a hamster on his shoulder and he didn't notice if it was Snuffles or Waffles. He gave both his hamsters a lot of raisins and hay so he can relax and feed them at dinner. He took out of his pocket a small box which he placed some of the leftovers from breakfast. He gave the cookies to snuffles and the waffles to Waffles. After his hamsters had finished up their breakfast and hopefully Waffles wouldn't get hungry until dinner. He placed both of them in their cage hoping that they would go to sleep.

Kiana walked into the Ravenclaw common room slowly, for she was in awe of the marvelous cylinder room before her. I don't know if I will ever get used to this place.. Hogwarts was the most spectacular place she had ever been, and this particular room gave a warm invitation with its blue and bronze hangings, its starry ceiling and its many comfortable, little areas, ideal for studying. Feeling elated, Kiana spotted a nice big chair and sat in it. She didnt know anyone yet, but that was okay, shed be perfectly fine here reading Defensive Spells and Theory.

Wow this girl was something he thought, his eyes dancing with un shed mirth. Hopefully by the time this was all over she'd still be as chipper as she appeared to be. He didn't even know if his experiment would work, let alone do anything. For all he knew his enchantment had done the opposite of what it was supposed to do and would get him into trouble.

"Very nice to meet you Miss Lulu." he replied, bowing slightly. One must respect a super hero he thought, his mind drifting to those muggle comic books he had lying around in his dorm room. Ah how he'd love to meet Superman or Batman he thought, his mind drifting off for a moment before snapping back to reality again. "Well..." he began before bending down and picking up a normal looking witches hat from his bag before standing straight again "I have here a normal witches hat. I've used a Charm I learned in my first year to see if it would counteract anything else in the hat." he didn't want to mention that he had bought the hat from WWW, which would make her head invisible. "What I want you to do is put it on and see what happens." He finished explaining, a grin on his face. "The effects should last ten minutes, enough time for me to write down anything I need to." he added before he forgot.

A witch's hat, a Charm, and...hmm. Counteract...effects...ten minutes?! Oh, dear. This better not be some trick that lasts forever. Hmm...Lucy grew a tad bit suspicious and slowly moved her hand toward the hat. she wasn't exactly sure whether or not to trust the young William Cullack but...hey, he was just a kid who was experimenting and he needed some help. Plus, wasn't helping people supposed to involve risks? Lucy heaved a long sigh, and took the hat from William, holding onto it tightly.

"Are there any effects that you're hoping will happen? And, by the way, what Charm did you use?" Although she was willing to risk a lot of things, Lucy wanted to make sure it was at least somewhat safe getting involved in this so-called experiment.

"Also, is there anything I should be careful of? Anything I should look out for?" she interrogated him. No way would he get past her interrogations. She asked questions which she wanted the answers to. Now, this, reminded her of Batman...and how she loved him. Drool...Wait! Going back to her super-hero work...as Lucy waited for the answers, she examined the hat closely.

William watched with some apprehension as she took the hat from him, his face calm and serene. Oh if this didn't go like he hoped he'd be in so much trouble he thought, but didn't the best scientists get into trouble sometimes? It was worth the risk definitly.

"Well, I'm hoping that your head will vanish not really of course. Just become invisible. If I did the charm right you'll grow antlers on your head which will show. So basically it'll look like you have no head but antlers." he explained, wondering if it sounded as crazy to her as it did to him. "I used the charm 'Cervinus' it's the antler jinx." He added before he forgot.

William paused for a moment thinking. "Nothing should go wrong. I studied the charm beforehand, during the summer. You should watch out for a small tingling sensation, that means the charm worked. After the tingling goes away, look in a mirror, which I have here." he bent down and picked up his blue mirror before continuing, "and you should see the antlers. If not then you should at least be able to feel them on your head." he stopped, thinking of anything else. "Once you take the hat off, the antlers will come off too,or they should." he finished, wondering if that was all.

Tibi settled back into the common room, ready to do some more reading. There were a few people about, but not too many. He already thought he preferred up here to the library as long as people weren't too loud.

Settling into one of the smooshier chairs, Tibi pulled out his Arithmancy text to review the section they'd gone over.

Lucy listened as William explained the details of the whole experiment. Apparently, the hat was supposed to make her head invisible, and the charm would make her grow out antlers. And when she took the hat off, everything would be back to normal. Right. The plan seemed perfectly fine, except...what if the antlers didn't go away? What if the hat--NO. Don't think that way. It'll be fine. Plus, it's part of the risk, right? She was a SUPER-HERO!!

In a split second after realizing her posture was absolutely terrible, she straightened up again, and stood proudly. She raised the hat up, as stared at it, as if a heavenly light shone down upon it, making it super-special. "This hat...is the symbol of brilliance." Hopefully. "Tell me when to begin, William! And as you as you say 'go', I shall put this hat on." Hopefully, nothing would go wrong.

SUPER-HERO TIME. DUN DUN DUUUUUUUN!!

Hehe. Showtime.

Jule grinned happily when Laura asked about the train ride. It was the most fun she'd had so far this year. Dumping a dungbomb on the firsties and Victoria Jamieson. Jule sighed and smirked. "It was awesome! I did a small intro and left for a few seconds. I then came back and said 'Welcome to Hogwarts, Newbies!' and that's when I threw a dungbomb in their compartment and closed the door. I ran to another one so they won't know where or who I am," she laughed and threw her head back. The looks on their faces were priceless.

After completing the translation successfully, Matheu began reading ahead in his Airthmancy text. He wasn't going to rush this class, instead he was going to enjoy it. Of course, being a Runics Master and a Potions Master was hes goal, being skilled in Arithmancy wouldn't really hurt. He reread Chapter Twenty-Eight and went ahead to read Chapter Twenty-Nine. He already read the basic chapters, but Twenty-Eight and -Nine seemed to catch him better.
He should be reading in his DADA text, but he wasn't. After reading, he packed up his books and decided to go for a walk on the grounds, and maybe even go to where the Magical Creatures were held. But he didn't know. Maybe the Maze; that'll be fun.

Damon stepped into the common room and quickly found a couch he could sit down on. He had some homework today from his arithmancy class so he decided he might as well start on it. Relaxing on the couch Damon got out his textbook and started reading it. Damon felt rather cold in the room. He wondered while that was. It was not a big deal though as Damon could brave the cold in some way. It could be something he was feeling at the present time or it could be something else.

Tibi looked at his arithmancy homework, and his notes, and then his textbook, and then back at his notes and then back at his textbook. He scrunched up his face. There was something he just wasn't getting. He knew there were other transit cycles for your middle and last names, but the book used the same letter 'meanings' for all the cycles... so how was he supposed to figure out what was relevant for what cycle? His head hurt trying to think about it; he really didn't enjoy not catching on. This hadn't been a problem in his old school, but here? He felt way over his head.

Scrunching some more, he tossed his book and parchment back in his bag, slung it over his shoulder, and headed down to down to Shackleton's office.

This will work, it has too he thought to himself as he nodded, grinning slightly as she held the hat over her head. Bending down once more, he retrieved the solid black notebook from his bag, the one he used solely for experiments and notes and nodded as he took the normal looking muggle pen from behind his ear. "I'm ready when you are Miss Lulu." he replied, using her super hero name instead of her normal one.

Anya walked into the common room and plopped down on a comfy armchair, waiting for Alice who she thought was right behind her.

Today had been good to Alice. She had made two friends-Anya and Mina. She sat down next to Anya and smiled at Mina. "So how's life?"She jokingly asked Anya. She did hope Anya had something to say, Alice was a total blank.

"Pretty good," Anya said, "my little sister Veronica should be starting next year, I hope she's a Ravenclaw, but Gryffindor wouldn't be so bad either, I guess,"

" Yeah, of course Ravenclaws the absolute best, Gryffindor is definitely 2nd place. I don't know how it would feel having a sister in your house. My sister is in Gryffindor..."Alice said.

"Does she look like you?" Anya asked, curious now.

"NOT at all! She has brown hair and eyes, and i have blue eyes blond hair. She is also more mischievous, and I'm more romantic, kind of shy at times. We both have a sense of humor, though. What about your sister?" Alice asked.
