Aaron mimicked Iris and stretched his neck. But instead, he was looking at the big mob of people still to be sorted. He thought he could see the top of her head.

"She must not have been sorted yet. Boy, that hat was weird, wasn't it?"

"yeah your right, we're only first years, but i just can't see myself doing anything different" she said. "you have horses? how cool is that! i love horses, well they do throw me off sometimes, ok alot! but i do love them" she giggled , Lyra then hits Raven's shoulder and then pointed at the hourglasses "look" she said "Gryffindor's already losing more points! and we haven't even started officially" Lyra said and then looked over at the Gryffindor table "i'm really anxious to find out what happend" she said , a curious expression came on her face and she actually stood up a bit, but thought better and sat down again "nah not worth it to lose housepoints for, " she muttered a little to herself but still looked at the in black and red robed table.

"oh I know... he was really creepy," Iris laughed, "what did he say to you?"

"That's kind of odd." Leticia said with her head tilted slightly to the side. "I don't like rats much, if they are in a cage, fine, but not loose in my house." She stroked Ornlu's fur absentmindedly.

"I'm sure he'd like that." Lettie said and watched her cat stir slightly in his sleep, "I'm afraid that he'll get bored while being here, and I don't like the idea of him following me to class."

The apology only made Leticia blush more, "It's okay, neither am I." 'Hmm...' "Is Svang...Stv...is your old school an all boys school by any chance?" She asked after a moment, thinking things through.

"Looks like things have sped up." And just as she finished the empty table in front of them filled with almost any kind of food the students could want. "Yay!" Lettie grabbed her plate and stacked it with meat and potatos, cutting everything into bits and chewed a mouthful. After she swallowed she asked, "If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go?"

"Oh, i't was like," and in a voice mocking the sorting hate, "'Hm... Both your parents were in Slytherin, ay? Oh, and you saw your friends go into Slytherin, too. So, you want to be in Slytherin, too. I see, I see. Oh there is someone that-'" Aaron didn't wan to say the next part outload because it said, 'There is someone very special to you there, too.' So to recover, Aaron said, "'that, um, wants you to try out for the Slytherin Quidditch team. I see... Better be... Slytherin!!!' It was weird, it was like it was reading my thoughts... Which means I was right!!! Score one for Aaron Anderson!!! What did it say to you?"

Iris listened to Aaron, then smiled as he faltered, guessing that he was hiding something, but chose not to say anything.

"well, he said ' hmm... a new style eh? but what's this? pure blood ... now that's interesting, it seems like it wasn't your choice that you chose Hogwarts over Beaubatons ' and something about fate, which made me snort in disbelief, and he just went on about my cunning and my intelligence and said i would so well in Ravenclaw, but I will truely believe and sucseed in Slytherin... So i just hope he was right!" she said, smiling

Smiling and looking down at the cat, he nods in agreement.

"Svensvort? Actually, yes it is. In a way I think it was good, especially considering the disciplining." looking at her again, he adds "But I could get used to having girls around too." ducking his head again, embarrassed Now why did I have to say that...

Looking down he realizes all the food had appeared. "I think your right!" Adding some of the roast beef and potatoes to his plate, he drenches them both in gravy, and takes a bite of the meat.

"Mmmm..." looking up at her question, he thinks for a few moments. "Somewhere on the sea, I think. I love how it looks like a person, when angry it crashes and storms, and when happy it's calm and beautiful."

"What about you?"

"Creepy," Aaron said in a sarcastic voice. And then he started to think about it. "Has the sorting hat ever been wrong?"

OOC: I'm so sorry, but I have to leave early today. I have guitar lessons and then I have to do a social studies report. I'll probably be on later, but it might be too lat for you, Jess. Bye!

Smiling she answered "Yes, I love horses too. I have one of my own. Had one ever since I was able to walk and talk properly." "But it's good to have ambitions, then you wont be steered away from your future goal!" She added with a far off glance.

Looking at the hourglasses Lyra pointed "Yes, I do wonder what they did, how on earth did they manage to do something wrong even before we have started eating?"

"hmm.. I certainly hope not!" she said hopefully, laughing. "i wonder how long its going to take Fallon to get sorted?" Iris looked at Aaron as he was turned away and she couldn't help but place a little smile across her lips.

Lettie shivered and shoveled some more food into her mouth, sneaking a bit of meat to Ornlu, who was now wide awake. "I couldn't imagine being in an all girls school...it'd be so boring." She drank some of her juice and continued, "No wonder you're all shy-like, poor thing." Lettie kicked his foot with her own.

She looked over and spotted Ott drenching his food in gravy, "Didn't your parents teach you not to drown your food?" Lettie smirked and ate a bite of mashed potato, one of her favorite foods.

Leticia thought for a moment, "Personification eh?" She chuckled lightly, it was such a dangerous thing the ocean. "I love to visit the Black Sea, have you ever gone there? My father and I use a sailboat whenever we can." She lost herself in thought for a moment, "I would like to visit lots of places someday."

Dru smiled back at the kind older girl. She was worried that she would be angry at her for dropping her knife so was pleasantly surprised when she wasn't.

"I'm a first year," she responded quietly. "And my name's Dru."

Looking down at his food, he grins "Nope, just love gravy on meat and potatoes."

Wait, did she say shy? Ahhh! No have I been acting that way... Sitting up straighter, he decides that he's going to be more self-assured.

"I haven't been there, but I want to travel later on that's for sure. Not much time for that back home, but once I'm old enough. I'm travelling!" he says with a smile at the thought of travelling without his family.

Still taking deep breaths, Steven moved slowly back to the Slytherin table. He sat back in his original seat, with a dark face. He wasn't happy. He wasn't happy at all. He didn't know how he could help fix this, and while he was surprised that they had a lead start over Gryffindor this year - he wasn't at all happy about the way they gained said lead. Quietly, he just wished that the Headmaster would get on with it and welcome everyone back for the new term... blah blah blah...

Heading into the Great Hall, Reese made her way over to her table- the Slytherin table. She would have joined her friends at the Gryffindor table, but it looked like they had some problems over there since two Professors were having a talk with some of the students. Geeez, school JUST started and yet, people are already getting in trouble. Now, she wasn't even that bad.

She made it over to the crowded table and sat down. As she sat down, she brushed some of her hair out of her face and behind her right ear. She looked down at her cup that sat in front of her and was full of pumpkin juice. Grinning slightly, she picked the cup up and took a sip of it. Refreshing.

Lettie sat at her seat, cutting through her meat like it was her mortal enemy. "I can't wait till I'm of age." She said in a low voice, and gave another piece of food to Ornlu. "Not that my family isn't great and all, but I just want to see if I can handle things on my own, ya know?" Leticia looked up and sighed, taking another sip of her juice. She brought the goblet to her face and laughed as Ott sat up straighter. Unfortunately she laughed into her cup and the juice flew out and landed all over her face.

"Ugh..." She wiped a bit of the sticky juice off of her and coughed. "That was fun I guess." Ornlu tried to clean himself off too, having gotten the juice that fell to the floor on him.

"I wanna go a lot of places when I get out of here." Lettie said and sniffed, "I want to learn other languages too."

Nancy had watched the whole dispute going on over at the Gryffindor table and even though, she had absolutely no idea what the whole thing was about she somehow ended up secretly siding with that Gryffindor boy who had just lost his house a great number of points. Maybe because everybody was rounding up against him. Maybe because it was quite obvious that Steven was on his side. Cough!

The 14 year old gave her friend a sympathetic look as he, with a quite sad and defeated look on his face, came back to his own table and took a seat next to her. "You okay?" She asked, concern clearly evident in her voice. "What's going on over there? What did he do?" At her last question Nancy nodded towards the Gryffindor boy before looking Steven straight in the eyes waiting for an answer.

"He was himself." Was the only answer that Nancy got, as he took a sip of the pre-poured juice that was in his goblet. He didn't glance at Corwyn, Dru--who seemed to be talking to Corwyn--, Paris or Nancy. He just glared at the Gryffindor table and the Staff table. One then the other, then his plate. Then he repeated the process.

Hands on Jude's shoulders in an attempt to continue this comfort-fest that was happening, Raiden steered the boy back to their House's Table. If they could make it through the rest of the feast without things going all explodey around them... he would be happy. He settled the boy into an empty seat and sat next to him, taking note that he was sitting next to another girl (Nadia. x_x) He glanced at her and tried to muster a nice smile, one hand still on Jude's shoulder to comfort the boy.

"Are you okay now, Jude?" he asked quietly, biting his bottom lip worriedly. He glanced around to make sure that the others had come back as well. "I told you it doesn't matter what those guys think. They're not very nice anyway."

Jude sniffled a few more times, grabbed a napkin from the table and blew his nose. His hands were sticky, and he felt like an idiot. He nodded and said "Oi jus' wanna go ta bed..." he said, trying to wipe the sticky off on his robes, because he forgot the cleaning spell. "An' Oi'm 'ungreh..." he complained.

Sniffing one more time, he looked around himself and sighed. He was hungry, but he had no motivation to eat. All he wanted to do right now was sleep.

Pietro took a seat with Raiden and the boy that he was comforting. Pie wasn't exactly in touch with his emotional side yet since he was an eleven year old boy who believed that crying or whatever wasn't appropriate behavior. Then again he could be just weird because of the family. Either way this was new to Pie. He patted the boy on the back and gave him a smile. "Chin up! At least we haven't lost points! Eat some food and celebrate! My name's Pietro by the way!" Pietro took a bite into some chicken and sighed contently. FOOD. Food was great.

Kiri tugged and pulled half-heartedly, helping Raiden steer Jude back to the Slytherin table. As Raiden pushed him down on the bench, she wiped her hands on her robes discreetly. There was no great improvement. Her hands were sticky, and Jude's snot on her robes glistened. She shuddered again when she saw that, and grabbed a handful of napkins from the table. A few moments' furious wiping and brushing managed to remove most of it, but it still felt a little... icky to her.

And now Jude and the other boy had taken all the available space next to Raiden! Kiri pulled a face. Well, some small payment for her soiled would be in order! She pushed herself in-between Jude and Raiden. Her spare frame didn't need much room, but it tingled happily where it came to contact with Raiden.
There was still food on the table, and Kiri pulled a plate of pudding toward herself. Then she offered it to Jude. "Do you want something of that?" she asked him quietly.

Kobie looked up as a girl held out her hand to her. She shook her hand and smiled. Lettie? That's an unusual name she thought.
"Hello, I'm Kobie, Nice to meet you" she smiled.

Aaron laughed and turned back at Iris who was still smiling from laughing. Aaron just looked at her for a second. For a moment, the only thing he could see was Iris' face. He smiled at her. He then turned his head quickly and said blushing, "Yeah, um... So what do you want to eat during the feast?" Boy, that was an awkward moment. He might never be able to recover from that.

"Soon as the feast is over Jude... we can all go up to the common room." He looked down the table and then started grabbing whatever was within reach, his own stomach long past its sour stage and well into hunger. When Kiri slid in-between him and Jude, he felt that little numbness run down his side before he could budge up and make more room for her. Prodding Pie slightly so he'd move a bit, he glanced at his friends. This had to be the first time he was sitting at this table with more than two people, eating a meal. It felt nice. His hand brushed past Kiri's as he reached for his goblet, and his face turned bright red.

Stupid allergies.

"Pie's right Jude... If we'd lost points it would've been worse. I feel bad for Gryffindor about now, because they're getting punished because those guys weren't very nice, but..." He sighed. "That's just how it works here. It's not really fair... But just eat, you'll feel better."

He looked at Kiri then. Kiri, who'd come over to check on them and had gotten drawn into the all-but-brawl... He felt genuinely bad about THAT.

"Are you alright, Kiri?" he said softly, putting a bit of mashed potato in his mouth. "I'm sorry that when you came over it was all crazy like that..."
