Cayden had his Robes on which were really unnecessary. He didnt mind wearing the tie that was green and silver. He made his way to the table as mari followed behind him and rather quietly. Something that wasnt really normal for her. She was always talking to someone. he sat down at the table as he wasnt about to eat anything. He wasnt hungry anyway. He had a snack before he had gotten on the train. He was zoning out as he was half thinking about things and the other half was watching the other kids eat. He heard her voice as he turned his attention to her."Maybe." he teased her lightly as he didnt really feel to much of the cheerfulness." You can visit if you like. I'll be fine here."

Nate smiled "Cool" Grabbing his plate he jumped up and looked behind him at the obviously shorter girl.. she must have been a first year. He looked at the girl that had just invited him to sit and smiled. "Well im ready" he said with a grin happy to be making new friends already. He gave a glance over to the ravenclaw table hoping to catch a glance of a certain someone..

Dru watched the older students move then look back at her in an almost friendly way. She wasn't sure what to do, stay sitting here on her own or move over.

She remembered what Theo had said, about people being nice, and what Irial said about making sure no-one was mean to her. She decided there and then to be a big brave girl and join them, acting big, as Theo would call it.

Dru placed herself at the edge of the group, her bravery was short-lived, as soon as she sat down, she felt a tinge of fear. She picked up her fork and admired it. It was a very nice fork...

"Great!" Lucy said smiling and leading the boy and first year to where Skyler and Ronald were sitting. "This is Skyler, she's a first year," Lucy said pointing towards the little first year. "This is Ronald, he's in fifth," Lucy said now indicating Ronald. "And I am Lucy, also a fifth year," She said. "And you two are?" She asked sitting down in a empty chair. There was room all around them and Lucy was glad to be making more and more friends that were Slytherins and not Gryffindors, or Hufflepuffs. Not that she didn't like the two houses, it was just that she couldn't hang out with them as much because they would sometimes be in their own dorms or common rooms.

Mari leaned against her left arm a bit more than the other one as Cayden spoke to her and she smiled. " Maybe is better than no, at least." She said, reaching over to run her finger over the rim of a glass before she fiddled with a napkin. " I'll go in a little while." She said to him when he said she could go and visit other people if she wanted. " What's wrong? Something in that letter bothered you. Who wrote to you?" She asked in the same quiet voice, her concern evident.

Sitting down, Nates eyes diverted from the Ravenclaw table to the people sitting in front of him. He gave them a smile adn a nod. "Im Nate. Im a thrid year. " he said answering Lucy's question. He placed his plate of food on the table ready to devour it whenever noone was looking.. couldnt be a pig infront of new people.

Cor looked down at her plate, and then over at a small, scared looking girl. "You first time here too?" the older girl asked with an understanding smile.

Cayden was still staring out in space as mari occupied her time with things on the table. He was wondering when she would ask the question she had just asked him now. He stared out still as he finally turned to her. "It wasnt anything. Nothing for you to worry about." he assured her as he gave her a small smile."It's not a big deal." This whole feast thing was rather boring if you werent going to eat anything.

Amanda looked along the table and saw all the new faces, she didn't feel like being social with anyone new. Glancing down the table, she saw Lucy there and glared at that girl, not wanting to argue with that sad excuse for a Slytherin; she sat there quietly and rested her hands on the table.

Dru looked up, shocked that the older people were talking to her. She still didn't know if they were nice or not but so far, so good.

"I'm Dru," she said very quietly. She placed her fork down neatly next to her plate before adjusting the knife of the fourth year sitting next to her, making sure it was just perfect. She was so consumed in her task she missed the girl talking to her

She lost everyone on the train and she was glad she had the chance to pull herself together before the feast started. She didn't want everyone to see her with red and puffy eyes from crying. She walked into the Great Hall with her head held high and she scanned the Slytherin table looking for a friend. She spotted Corwyn. "Hey girl," She said happily as she sat next to her.

"So Nate are you excited about starting your third year here?" Lucy asked as she piled some food onto her plate. "I know I am. I'm just not looking forward to O.W.L's is all." Lucy poured herself a goblet of pumpkin juice and took a sip. From the corner of her eye she could see Amanda glaring at her, and all alone. She smirked and returned to the new arrivals.

"Hello Dru." Lucy said gently. She could tell that the first year was a a little afraid. "Don't worry about a thing, your first year will go by like a breeze," Lucy reassured her. "And I bet you'll make a ton of new friends! You've already made three." Lucy added placing a chip her mouth.

OOC: I'm logging off! Gotta go to bed! See you tomorrow!

After waiting a moment or two, Corwyn asumed the first year hadnt heard her and turned back to her mashed potatos, making patterns with her fork.

Just as she was resigning herself to the fact that she'd spend the opening feast alone, Paris sat beside her, "Paris! How have you been since Diagon Alley?" she asked happily, glad to have a friend since it seemed everyone else did.

Feeling something move by her arm she looked around and saw the first year playing with her knife, "Do you need it? I'm not using it right now." she said tapping her on the shoulder gently.

She was glad someone was so happy to see her. She giggled, glad that someone could take her mind off her man troubles, which were getting more complicated than she ever thought they could. "Oh I've been alright. Just some shopping and balls and boyfriends." She winked at Corwyn. "How was your summer? Do anything exciting?" She asked.

Mari waited a moment...then a few more, and when she was wondering if Cayden was going to even answer her, he spoke finally. She stared at him, not returning the smile because she just knew, she knew he was lying. She went quiet for a few moments and she sighed. " I know it's not nothing. You barely spoke, and I know you don't talk much but you didn't say anything for the rest of the train ride. Tell me what was in that letter, please?" She said, wondering why he would never let her help him. " Can I see the letter then if it's not that big of a deal?" She countered, her voice still quiet so as not to make a scene or anything.

After mystic nervously walked into the great hall with her pigtailed bubblegum pink hair and sour green apple lollipop colored eyes walked up front to be sorted with the other first years than sat down at the Slytherin house table.

Dru jumped slightly as she felt a tap on her shoulder which made her knock the knife off the table. She looked sheepishly at the girl.

"I'm sorry," she said quietly. "It wasn't straight next to the plate so I was fixing it but now it's on the floor..." Go Dru! Lets point out what everyone can see and look silly in front of a big girl.

Cor shrugged, "Not very interesting to most people, but I had fun. I spent the summer discovering England, visiting historical places and reading all the books on history I could get my hands on. Stuff like that." Silently, she laughed to herself, 'Talk about polar oposites.'

He looked at her as she was pestering him about it."I didnt really feel like talking much. Besides Seth and Elizabeth were more amusing then actually talking. I was sure they would of broke out into something more. With all the shoe beating remarks." He hadnt got the reasoning behind their disagreement, but it was amusing to watch either way. He looked at her a little more as she wanted to see the letter. She wasnt going to be happy. She never was with this sort of thing.

He had a slight feeling that if he handed it over he would be asking for it. She would find out sooner or later. He pulled out a letter from him robe pocket as he handed it over to her. he put both elbows on the table as he leaned his head against his hands. He was waiting for her to get upset, at least a little. She never handled this subject very well. Nor was it about to change any time soon.

She nodded. "Well that can be exciting. I mean I've gone to Egypt with my aunt Kenya, shes a curse breaker for Gringotts, and she showed me some of the tombs of the Pharaohs. And oh I've been to Greece and did some historical tour there and it was a lot of fun. Muggles have interesting histories too." She told her. She rather liked history, well muggle history anyways. The jury was still out on the history of magic for her. "What is your favorite time frame? Mine would have to be either during the Egyptians hayday or during the rein of Babylon." She told her.




She looked over and rolled her eyes as Professor Bunbury walked in.

If the woman was a real diva she wouldn't have to try so hard to get people's attention. That talent just came natural to true divas, like herself. Or Anna, or Lyra, and it would come natural to Cela if she acted her age and not her wand length.

Paris had to pity the woman. She was obvious either a fat kid or very homely when she was a littler girl. And so she lost a little weight, found a good dermatologist and now she was making up for all the lost years by being overly diva as an adult.

It wouldn't be so bad if the woman didn't wear knockoffs or mix and match her labels. Or wear pieces from collections 2 years ago. If you were going to wear Prada sunglasses at least make sure they were in season.

"Its ok, I'm sorry I startled you. Luckily I prefer mashed potato's, no need for a knife." Cor replied to the girl with a grin, hoping to put her at ease. "Are you a first year, or second?"


Cor was shocked as Paris brought up some history, she asumed she'd just roll her eyes and move onto another subject. "You've been to Egypt? I would looove to go to Egypt and Greece!""

A huge grin spread across her face, happy to find someone with the same intrest as her, "My favorite time period would have to be the British Navy during the Napolianic Wars. Its kind of specific." she added witha shrug and a blush.

Mari did agree that Seth and Elizabeth were oddly amusing in their own way, and she nodded a little to show her agreement. " That's true. Too bad we stopped before we could get to that, right?" She said with a light smile in his direction. Her smile faded away again as he seemed to see more of her just then when she asked about the letter. It was like he was really paying attention to her now but she wasn't sure if it was good or bad.

She knew she had been right about the letter containing something...well, something that would impact them in some way because of how long he was taking to give it to her. When he did, she noted his posture, how he seemed to be preparing for something unpleasant to take place.

Then she read the letter, her green eyes scanning the script and the signature. She read it again and she set it down, folding it and giving it back to Cayden. Firstly, she was...oddly relieved and both disappointed that she wasn't coming back. In a weird way, Mari realized she had sort of wanted some closure from the other girl but now she would never have it.

What bothered her more was that Cayden had beenacting like...like he had lost everything in losing the Hufflepuff. She looked at him and she gave him a slightly inscrutable look. " I'm sorry about it...but I'm not. I'm glad she's gone too." She spoke honestly, not caring if he would be mad at her for the comment. " I'm sorry you're so upset, that's all." She said, and she looked at him for a moment before looking away again.

She nodded her head. "My old school is in Cairo in fact, but yes I've been on digs in Egypt a few times. One of my aunts is married to a Egyptologist. And Greece is so lovely. The food is to die for. But Italy is a better place to dig around. I mean the catacombs alone are fascinating." She gushed she didn't think anyone else would be interested in muggle history.

She giggled. "Yes that is very specific, but then I love all the fashions of Queen Elizabeth I rein. I used to study historical fashion and then I kept going with the history." She told her, most people wrote her off as shallow and only concerned with her hair and nails, but Paris knew she was deeper than the Atlantic ocean.

Kobie stood up and stretched before sitting down again. She had nobody to sit with so she sat alone. She looked down the table and saw that everybody had someone with them, or nearby them. She took a sip from her goblet and smiled at anyone who looked remotely interested in sitting with her.

Natasha sat down at the Slytherin table with a smile as she thought about the train ride. Even though it was sad, it still made her feel really happy. She glanced down the table, hoping to see someone she could talk to whether she knew them or not.
