Kayla felt someone sit beside her and place their hat on her head and she smiled to herself. "Hello Cayden" she murmured without turning to him. She took a sip of her drink and chuckled softly at his comment. "It's gillywater" she replied, "Nothing too exciting I'm afraid. What are you going to have" she asked finally turning to face him.

Mariska looked up briefly from her conversation with Elizabeth to find that Cayden had come into Hogsmeade too. She thought about going over to say hello to him, but then she saw him immediately make a beeline for Kayla Winters. She chewed the inside of her cheek a little as she watched them together, wondering why it bothered her so much to see him be so friendly with her. She took a breath though and calmed down; She remembered their discussion from before and she wanted to try and be the bigger person this time around. However, she wasn't sure it would last. She kept stealing glances at Cayden and Kayla though, wondering why he seemed to like the Hufflepuff prefect so much.

He gave her a smile as she spoke to him." Hello." Gillywater...Who drank that stuff." um.. something different." he told her as he moved to take her drink and take a sip of it. He slide it over to her as he then choked a little."Not that." he added as he then ordered a butterbeer. " Ive been told to experiential." he pulled out a small capsule as it was filled with blue powder." I want a fire whiskey but i dont think they will offer me any here. Just have to wait till i go home. This stuff is a home made something or other from my sister. She says its really good. I told her if i die im going to become back as a ghost and make her life miserable. she did that sister thing where she rolls her eyes and acts like what i said was total nonsense. Though i think it might just be a chick thing." he moved to brake the capsule and put it into his drink. The powder mixed into the drink as it dissolved. he moved to take a drink as he was still alive. He snickered as he stuck his now blue tongue at her. "what are you doing today?" he asked her as he grinned.

"By all means help yourself" she said drily as he took her drink and took a sip of it. She laughed as he almost choked on it. "That's karma for you" Kayla chuckled as she took the drink back from him, "It's an acquired taste" she smirked. Kayla rolled her eyes at him, "I don't know what everyone sees in firewhiskey, it tastes horrible" she pulled a face at him as she watched him pour something into his butterbeer. "Well you're sister sounds like a riot, I think we would get on well together." She burst out laughing at his blue tongue, "Oh very attractive. Not much. What about you?"

"Thanks, but no thanks." he told her as she said to help himself. Even if it was more aimed towards before he took a drink."Not Karma just the fact i have better tastes in things." he nodded in agreement when she informed him it was an acquired taste."Well you really cant say anything about it until you've had it made the way my mother makes it. Its amazingly better then this stuff. When you come over this summer you can try some." he snickered as he could see her getting a buzz from it and going crazy."Something of the sort. This summer she should be over here for a few weeks. You should come." he snickered as she laughed at his tongue and made a comment about it." What? Blue isnt my color? Not doing anything really. come with me to Candy shop later. You dont want to be drinking that all day." he pointed at her gillywater as he spoke.

"Sounds good" she replied absently as she had just spotted Mari, looking at them. Kayla turned back to Cayden and raised an eyebrow, "Um...we seemed to be getting death stares from your girlfriend" she announced quietly. Eh...he'll probably go running straight over to Mari now, she should have kept her mouth shut. "No blue is definitely not your colour" her face brightened as he suggested the candy shop. "Of course I'll come with you, are you shouting again?"

He had taken another sip of his drink when he looked back at her as she spoke. Death stares? He leaned back a little to see Mari sitting at a table with the ravenclaw chatter box. he gave them a smile as he leaned forward again." Im pretty sure that wasnt a death stare and I'll talk to her before we go. Today im spending it with you and the candy shop. Which better have pop rocks because im dangerously low to only 10 packets." OH gesh the bad horror that would come if he didnt have his pop rocks. he would be popping snack deprived for a good number of days. His soul might even crush a little. "If blue isnt my color then what would be my color? And really how do you tell what color someone is? I mean technically everyone should be the color of their skin. If we re getting technical." he stopped for a moment as he wondered if he had already had too many pop rocks today." What do you mean shouting?"

Kayla shrugged her shoulders, she didn't particularly care what Mari, thought of hers and Cayden's relationship. "yeah but I would have to say that she doesn't like you spending time with me." Kayla giggled and placed her hand over her heart, "Oh be still my beating heart, I am his number one girl...today. What the hell are pop rocks anyway?" she tilted her head to the side and surveyed Cayden with curious eyes. "Well green of course" she answered and then rolled her eyes at him, "Of course if you want to get technical" she repeated. "I mean are you buying candy for me again?"

He shrugged a little as he knew it was true." We talked about it already." he was glad for the subject change as she moved her hand to her heart. he couldnt help but raise an eye brow at her as she did so."Be still your beating heart? Gesh what ancient language did you dig that up from? Shakespeare?" he chuckled a little bit as he lowered his voice a little." How many times have i told you. If you want me you should say something." he was sure to make it quiet."Green. Right. At least its not yellow." he teased her as he took another drink."What? Im buying candy for you again? what is this? Your favorite past time?" he shook his head as he then added,"You know when I buy you candy you have to do something for me. You already owe me so now it would be like x2."

Kayla raised an eyebrow but said nothing about it. "Yeah what's wrong with that? Shakespeare was the man!!" She let out a laugh, honestly where did she come up with this stuff? "I'll be sure to do that but don't hold your breath" she gave him a wink and took another sip of her drink. "Nothing wrong with yellow my man, the best people wear yellow" she teased. "Hmm...maybe I should buy my own then."

he chuckled a little as he she said he was the man." Yeah...if you say so. I dont really get the big deal. I mean... its all cryptic and in another language." It really was." Hey im not the one with my hand over my heart." he told her as he took another drink at the same time she did."If yellow was the best color then i would be wearing it. Hand it over." he told her as he wanted something yellow if this was how it was going to be." it was going to be bright, but he could handle it for a day."Yeah...I'm still not sure what im going to do with the first one." he let out a small chuckle as he then added," But i'll buy you some beans for the heck of it." He then remembered she wanted to know what pop rocks were." Oh right pop rocks. Here." he said as he pulled out a package of pop rocks with strawberry flavored." You put it in your mouth and they pop. Look like rocks that pop." he smiled at her as he added," It's the best stuff. Try some." he told her as he gave her some.

Reaching up she unwound her scarf from her neck and handed it over to him. "Not only will you look spectacular now, it'll keep you all warm and cozy too" Kayla laughed and leaned over and ruffled his hair. "Oh how sweet of you, I wouldn't be able to survive without my beans." She gave him a dubious look as he went on about the pop rocks and she hesitantly took a one and placed it gingerly into her mouth. The moment the candy hit her tongue it gave a little pop against her tongue and she jumped slightly. "Oh yeah these are good" she said enthusiastically as she sucked on it some more and it kept on popping in her mouth.

"Here. You have to have something when we go outside. It'll be cold without a scarf." He told her as he handed over his green one in replacement for her yellow one. he stared at it for a second as at least it wasnt as bright as some of the others he had seen. those would be labeled crayola blinding yellow. He moved to put it around his neck as she ruffled his hair. Something he was use to by now as it seemed second nature. he turned his attention to her as she started to eat the candy and jump a little." I cant believe your afraid of candy..." he grinned at her as he chuckled." I think miss winters you've found your match." he teased her as he took another drink." You will like them eventually. they grow on you. Besides its cool how they pop." She was missing the fun of the poppingness.

Elizabeth grinned at Mari's comment about not having gotten yelled at while she'd been at Hogwarts. "Yet, huh?," she teased. "So you're planning to at some point?" She laughed a little, then went on. "I guess we're lucky that we got away having only lost 25 points there. It could have been worse. She was curious what Mari was thinking about that had made her laugh, but in the same respect, she wasn't sure. Odds are it had something to do with her recounting of what had happened with Ludo.

She sighed as Mari expressed interest in finding the mirror again. "I just want to know what everyone was so excited about it for. What it does." What Ludo saw that made him so emphatic he wanted her to look. She got a bit of a nervous expression on her face as Mari leaned forward, and continued their conversation about people liking her, saying she should go for it. "I know," she hedged. She kind of wanted to, too. But she wasn't sure what she was doing.

But then she saw Mari glance off toward the bar, and saw Cayden and Kayla over there. And she watched as mari kept sneaking peeks at the two. "Having some jealousy issues?," she teased, semi-happy the subject could be changed. "I'm reasonably certain they're just friends. I mean, it's not like we both don't know Kayla has a boyfriend."

Mariska laughed and shook her head. " No, I'm not planning on it. I'm just assuming it'll happen sooner or later during my illustrious career here at Hogwarts." She said, shrugging lightly and smiling a little more. She went quiet for a few moments as Elizabeth kept talking, but she noticed the slightly nervous demeanor her friend adopted when she broached the subject of the other Ravenclaw getting together with Ludo.

Mari didn't quite know what to say though when Elizabeth mentioned Cayden and Kayla. She chewed at the inside of her cheek for a moment before she sighed and nodded. " I know they are...I just don't understand why he insists on talking to her when he knows what happened. Well, sort of." She amended, tilting her head to the side. " It's also frustrating that it seems whenever I like a boy, he's got some connection to her." She said in a quieter voice. Robert doesn't, besides that they both hate one another,said a strange, honest voice in her head. She shook her head a little and looked at her bottle for a moment. " But you're right, we both know she's got a boyfriend," Mari said neutrally, for a moment still remembering the words of that poem and thinking that in all honesty, she really did not have to worry about a single thing. Even Kayla wouldn't ruin something like that, Mari was sure about it.

Elizabeth grinned at Mari's response about getting into trouble. "Okay, what's wrong with this picture? I managed to get yelled at before you did?," she joked, feeling a bit more comfortable seeing as her friend seemed to have dropped the conversation about Ludo for the time being. Even though Mari's quietness told her that she wasn't out of the woods yet. The topic was going to come up again.

She smiled encouragingly as Mari attempted to believe what she said. "He talks to her cause they're friends. And you yourself just said he only sort of knows what happened, so you can't exactly get angry at him for talking to her." Of course, she wasn't even sure which incident Mari was talking about, but since it seemed everything between Mari and Kayla was connected, she wasn't too concerned. "And that's not true. There's got to be some guy out there you like that she doesn't have a connection to," she argued, immediately thinking about the animosity between Kayla and Robert, that she had gotten drawn into in Diagon Alley. She caught the neutrality of Mari's agreement about Nico, and started to worry she'd hit a nerve.

Mariska looked over at Elizabeth as she spoke and she nodded again, thinking about things before she spoke once more. " I know. I just...feel slightly protective when she comes around , I guess. It's stupid but..." She trailed off and leaned forward, now whispering her own secrets. " I just don't want what happened last time...to happen again." she said, feeling a bit pink in the face as she admitted her fear to her friend. Mari sighed a little. " I know Cayden's not going to do anything, and neither is she but I just...feel that way." She said honestly and with a shrug. Then she laughed slightly, tapping a her finger on the wood of the table lightly as she spoke again. " I guess I never really, really got over that incident. But I'm trying," She said lightly, making a little joke of it. " But enough of my angst-ridden problems. I'm sure you'd rather talk about...well, you and Ludo perhaps." She said, smiling genuinely again. " Did you two talk after the incident at all?"

Elizabeth couldn't help but sigh as Mari tried to explain her issue with the Cayden and Kayla thing. And she wondered what her friend would think if she knew that Kayla was sort of, possibly, a friend of hers. If the Huffie prefect hadn't been all weird every time she tried to talk to her. "It's not going to happen again," she tried to reassure Mari. Although she strangely kept thinking about Robert, and how she was fairly certain this issue wouldn't have happened if Mari hadn't chose Cayden over him. Taking a breath, she tried to push her thoughts to the back of her mind as helping her friend was more important. "It takes time to get over stuff like that," she said. "And it can't really be helpful having to see the people who were involved with it all the time. Or, some of them."

She trailed off and scrunched her face up in embarrassment as Mari chose to go back to the topic of her and Ludo. "What is there to talk about?," she asked plaintively, before she was thrown off by the next question that came out of her friend's mouth. "We talked after I dragged him into the Room of Requirement to escape Forrester," she then said, blinking a little as she settled back into her chair once more.

Kayla took his scarf and wrapped it around her neck, "Ooh look at me, I'm a Slytherpuff!" She had a little chuckle at that, how many times had she been told that she would have done well in Slytherin. She looked at Cayden, who was now wearing her Hufflepuff scarf and she burst out laughing, "I'm not to sure about yellow on you though." It just didn't seem to suit him at all. "I'm not afraid of candy, I just wasn't expecting it to pop so...."she couldn't think of a word to describe it..."so poppy." Oh for the love of Merlin, that did not make sense at all. "Oh pleeease, I could so take down the candy" she snorted as she sucked on the candy a little more and the popping started to fade. "I definitely like the flavour though" she admitted.

Cayden watched her as she put on his scarf and he had to admit that it didn't look that bad on her. "a what?" he asked as he had not yet heard of a slytherpuff. Was it a badger gone wild who had fallen for a snake? He didn't want to know how that one worked. He looked down at his own scarf as she told him that yellow wasn't his color " I think I'm going to agree with you. I prefer the red ones. Or dark blue. Just in case, you know for Christmas and everything." he teasingly hinted at her. " my candy is too extreme for you. Just like the way you can't keep up with me. " he snickered at her as he then asked," so are we going or are you going to complain about my waesome candy all day?"

Pyralis walked into the Three Broomsticks.

A couple butterbeers down and here we join our young hero at the three broomsticks pub. Helios did not seem to mind being alone, but kept an eye on the door.

PYralis spotted a boy sitting alone at a table.

Bringing the glass to his lips, Helios raised an eyebrow when he noticed that he was being looked at. With his free hand, he motioned for the girl to take a seat.

Pyralis sat down in the seat the boy indicated. "Hello." She muttered. She fealt a little uneasy, and shy.
