Qaz entered and found a seat at the back. By the looks of it, they were actually going to start practicing this lesson. Right on! In order to prepare for this most important lesson, Qaz put away all her things closed her eyes, cleared her mind of all her worries and focused all her thoughts on the three steps of apparition.

Step1: Fix your mind firmly upon the desired destination.
Step2: Focus your determination to occupy the visualized space.
Step3: Turn on the spot and feel your way into nothingness, moving with deliberation.

She knew if she had them set in her mind that they would be easier in reality.

Lorraine stepped into the Great Hall, thankful she had been able to arrive before the lesson began this time. Especially since she was due to help teach these kids this lesson so it was probably a good idea for her to be on time. It was the third and final time she would be making a reappearance into the school... that is until next year, assuming Headmaster Bontecou allowed it.

And she was dressed to impress, yet again, since many of these students could be potential Ministry Employees and she had to make sure they had a good impression of the Ministry as a potential workplace. The department head wore a black pencil skirt, with a pale purple ruffle top, complete of course, with some matching pale purple designer heels. Clicking her way to the front of the room, where of course, Angelica (that woman was so dutiful - perhaps she'd have to think of a giving her a raise soon) was already seated and reviewing some notes.

Seating herself casually on the desk and crossing her legs, she surveyed the room to ensure they had everything to begin.

Desks. Check.
Hoops. Check.
Posters. Uh oh.

Where were those posters?! Blinking her hazel eyes, Lorraine slid off the desk and hurried to the back (or was it the front?) of the hall where all the supplies were. No posters. She'd have to improvise when the time came since the lesson was due to begin any moment...

Freya entered the room and placed her novel back inside her bag, not wanting to be distracted from what would be going on today in the lesson. Though at times she wondered why she was here...already knowing how to apparate and disapperate(sp?) quite well. 'Oh yeah, side-along stuff.' That's what she wanted to practice, and with more than one other person coming with her.
She quietly took a seat in the middle of the room, waiting patiently.

Elizabeth walked into the Great Hall for the last Apparition lesson, her green eyes taking in the fact that both the Ministry people were already there. But only a couple of her fellow students were, namely Freya and Qaz. Shrugging as she decided to assume the others would come later, she went over to a seat near her fellow Quidditch teammate and took a seat. Then she set her school bag under the desk by her feet as she resolved to wait for the lesson to start.

Daphne anxiously walked into the Great Hall. She tried her best to convince her parents that Apparation wasn't necessary, but they insisted she continued with the lessons. After all, they were already paid for. She smiled to the few students already seated then dropped her things down next to a desk.

She nervously tapped her fingers along the wooden desk, the sound echoing across the empty Great Hall. Once she realized how distracting it was she stopped, choosing to tap her foot instead. Her eyes glanced towards the door as she debated simply leaving.

Ludo walked into the Great Hall. Finally...the final Apparation lesson had arrived. They may actually get to practice Apparating!
A smile crossed Ludo's face and he found a seat next to Liz.

"Hey," he said, happily. Ludo took note of the various equipment stacked near the front of the Hall.

This was the third time she was coming to the Great Hall for this Apparition thingy...and it was the time she was most worried about, because...who wasn't, right?

The final lesson must have some practical 'Apparition' in it...and, hopefully it will only be the Division and Department Heads who will doing it...Kaika was not really into doing that today...or maybe she'll be good apparating, who knows?

She stepped inside and waved at both the Division Head and then the Department Head, she didn't know the names...and she probably wasn't going to remember those, anyway.

Edie walked into the Great Hall, rather nervously and carrying her handy tote bag. She gave a small smile to the other students and found a seat where she sat down, her hands clasped tightly together. Her bag was still on her shoulder so she placed it underneath the chair.

Zeke walked into the Great Hall. He was nervous. This was the third and final lesson... Just focus. he thought to himself. It'll be fine. Just remember the steps. Fix your mind firmly upon the desired destination. Focus your determination to occupy the visualized space. Turn on the spot and feel your way into nothingness, moving with deliberation. He nodded to himself. I know them. It will be fine. he thought, trying to reassure himself.

Angelica sat in her chair with her head in her notes as the students started to trickle into the Great hall. It was a bit sad that this was going to be the last apparition lesson for some time. When Lorraine to had entered and took up post on top of the desk Angelica decided it was time to start the lesson.

Placing her notes to the left of Lorraine she turned on the spot to look out over the students. Smiling wide at all of them she said "Welcome, students to the last apparition lesson of the year. Today we will recap for the examination and also give you all a chance to apparate for the first time."

Angelica wondered if it was really wise to mention examination and apparate in the same sentence. But no matter what done was done. She waited a moment and then asked "Now then, to start off can anyone tell me two things that they have learned from the previous lessons?"

Qaz raised her hand and replied. 'Hi, I'm Qaz Windsong. We learned that the three most important things in Apparition are destination, determination and deliberation. We also learned about splinching.'

It was hard to remember the past lessons when the Division Head mentioned they'll be apparating today for their first time. Yikes. Not good.

But she managed, "Well, mainly, we've been taught the three D's, except we haven't discussed the 'Deliberation' one, per say" she started to say, after raising her hand, "But, mostly, it's about having your mind set strongly on the place you want to apparate to" otherwise, the apparition will be very much unsuccessful.

Kaika wanted to mention 'never to believe anyone who says they've got chocolate' but that was not an issue here. "And, yes, we discussed splinching as well..." and she was still not sure if it hurt or not, because the Department Head had another opinion.

Zeke raised his hand. "Well, that's rather what I was going to say," he said with a smile. "We've learned the three D's, and we've discussed splinching." He considered the concept of splinching for a moment. He'd heard it could possibly be bad, like leaving a limb behind, but it could also be harmless, like leaving an eyelash or some such thing. Still... it didn't sound like something he'd want to do.

Edie raised her hand.

"We learnt that Destination, Determination and Deliberation are essential to Apparation. If you are not fully..erm aware of these meaning you don't use them in your Apparation, it can cause a horrible error in Apparation known as Splinching," she said, shuddering as she thought of splinching.

Angelica stood and listened as four students in a row talked about the same things mainly the three D's and splinching. She needed to straight out the term splinching which was a given or otherwise the students might write the wrong answers on their exams. Raising her voice she said "Good, good! You all seem to have been paying attention in the first two lessons. And that calls for a little treat." Pulling out her wand Angelica uttered a spell silently and several honedukes chocolate pieces started making their way out of her handbag and over to each students desk. When the candy had been given out she pocketed her wand and said "To continue with the lesson. What do you all think that the last D; deliberation that Miss Lockhart mentioned means?"

Edie smiled in thanks as she placed her treat in her bag. She again raised her hand at the question.

"I think that deliberation means that you need a clear head in order to Apparate. What if you need to Apparate to safety? Not deliberating in a proper manner could be dangerous or even fatal if you either Splinch or you Apparate to an unsafe location," Edie said.

Lyra sat back in her chair and flinched at the thought of splinching. OMG that had to hurt and she was bound and determined to not let that happen. Determination! Just what she was supposed to have. She looked to the student who asked a very important question and it was a good question as well but hopefully if she ever had to use apparition as a means to escape, she would be extremely familiar with it by that time.

Yes, of course, she had to pay attention, right? Because it would be less disastrous.

And then her eyes widened as Miss Division Head mentioned a 'treat', her mind was on Seven now, her little crup, she should visit him after this lesson, though...

Aha! Treat? Now she was curious...and then she saw it...the chocolate! THE CHOCOLATE! It was true, she'd mentioned that during the previous lesson, and here Kaika was thinking that she was bluffing...AWESOME! "Umm, thank you!" she said, in regards to the chocolate.

But, well, yes, she lost focus, because she was focused on the chocolate that floated over to her desk...ummm, what did she say?

Deliberation, right, the thing they haven't discuss properly..."Wasn't deliberation like...thinking very carefully about apparating...I mean, we already know that the destination is the place we want to apparate to, and determination is like our will to do so...so, deliberation should be something along the lines of thinking about it, making the proper calculations and all, right?" and she still wasn't sure about it, but it made a bit of sense.

Oh darn. Lorraine needed to really stop fretting about the silly posters that had gone missing and pay attention to where Angelica was with the class. Standing upright again from her laying on the floor in attempts to sort through the piles of equipment, she focused on what the students were saying.

Oh right. Deliberation.

Blinking at the girl's question - what was her name? Ava? Ed? Edi? Meh... whatever. Why was she so spazzed today anyway? Shrugging it off she then continued with the response to clear some things up hopefully about what the final 'D' meant.

"Yes, Ms Lockhart," she remembered her name from her father who worked under Teal for a few years. "Deliberation is the thoughtfulness in a decision or action. It is the final act in the process of apparition, where all sides must be considered, you are determined to reach a decision and then at long last, you've done it. But in order to successfully apparate, then you must think of Deliberation as only one part to the puzzle. It must be combined with the determination and will to apparate, along with the destination of where you want to go."

Yes. Back to the other girl's question. Something about safety. Ugh she needed more coffee! "You posed an interesting point, Miss," she indicated to the Ravenclaw. "If you need to apparate because you're already in a dangerous situation, then I assure that poor deliberation will be no more dangerous to your health or physical wellbeing than that situation would be. If you think your risk of apparition to safety is dangerous or fatal compared with your current situation, then there is a good chance that you have enough time to focus on your three D's."


Before continuing, Lorraine's hazel eyes prowled around the classroom, in search of how well the students seemed to be paying attention. There was just one student who seemed utterly relaxed there, bearing a Hufflepuff crest on her robes. HA! And those students called themselves 'hardworkers'. Well that was a joke in the same it was when she was a student a number of years ago (more than she cared to admit). Shooting her a sigh and glare to pay attention, Lorraine looked away then as she addressed the class with the next part.

"Just a few things before we take out the hoops and attempt apparition. The first thing that I would like to ask is if any of you have older siblings or parents who apparate, then you might know this, but we know wands aren't really necessary in Magical Transportation - except for Portkeys. Regardless of that, wands are not needed in Apparition, so please make sure yours are away or I will have to confiscate them until the lesson is over. Now, what kind of movement do you think will be necessary to Apparate?"

Having signed up for this lesson had been a terrible idea, for Willow was one hundred percent certain that as soon as she tried to appareate, she would end up splinching.

And no matter how many times Mrs. BrothSomething had told them that it did not hurt, Willow could not take out of her head the fact that if it ended up happening to her -and she knew it would- it would hurt REAL Bad. Worst than getting knocked off her broom (which she'd experienced), or than getting hit by a bludger, which Willow had definitely experienced, too.

But Lorraine what's-her-name thought differently, obviously.

They didn't need their wands - she knew that. What she didn't know, though, was the so called movement the apparition lady had asked for.

So she remained still and quiet in her seat located in the very back.

What was this? Why was that woman looking at her like she had done something wrong? She was not asleep. She was not snoring. She was paying attention just not speaking out loud. Lyra gave the woman the evil eye, crossing her arms to her chest. Was this a challenge to keep her mind on the D's of apparition? Hmmm...she accepted the challenge with determination.

Ludo looked to his wand before pocketing it. No way was this woman taking it away from him. Besides, the concept of wandless magic was just cool.

Daphne pulled her wand out and dropped it in her bag. Putting that away was the least of her worries at the moment. She was still terrified of Apparating, no matter how safe everyone said it was. She believed there was a reason that her family chose not to use that method of transport, perhaps it was painful. She was content with flying to her desired location for the remainder of her days.

Well, her wand was safely in her pocket, so that wasn't going anywhere away from there. Or so she thought, one never knows. But, yes, she wasn't much into having her wand confiscated. No. So, better listen to Miss Department Head before it was too late.

She checked, yes, the wand was in her robes, so, good.

Let's move on.

Kaika tried to remember what her grandpa used to do, since she never actually saw her father apparating...odd...and raised her hand, "Aren't we supposed to, like, turn on the spot?" because it wasn't a circular motion per say, just turning on your foot, which sounded quite stupid once you thought about it.
