Ludo listened to Mari's suggestions. He looked at his watch. "Well...I've got class soon. And I didn't mean to drag you from your homework..."

His gaze drifted back to the Notice Board. October 12th... he read.
"Ok we have a little over a week. Let's just plan that if one of us finds out we make sure the other knows." he said, standing up.

He grabbed his books from the edge of the chair. "Alright I'll see you later Mari." he dashed up the stairs to the dormitory to get his other textbooks.

Mari's shoulders sagged a bit as Ludo postponed their exploration. " It's alright, I wouldn't say you were dragging me," She smiled a little at him. She looked up at him as he stood and she nodded, standing up too as he dashed off. She waved her hand a bit. " See you later, Ludo." She said, sitting back down at the table with a little sigh of disappointment. Flipping open her book again, she began where she had left off, leaning on her arm a bit as she did.

Where did the girl dig up that information anyway? Samson had not told her anything at all! She took the fun out of the pranking.

"Stop making things up," he said, rather irritated for no reason. "Being a first year isn't a good excuse to be stupid, either. Nia here seems to be holding up just fine as a first year, and I don't remember myself being so ignorant and claiming that I don't know how things work. That's what the books are for."

"How'd this girl end up in our house anyway?" He asked no one in particular, in a low murmur.

Sabrina stepped into the common room. Okay. So she was bored. Big time. She had spent the past few days away from the common room. Fourth year was rather boring as she had spent a lot of her free time after the wedding in the library and studing her school books. So nothing surprisingly new in the lessons. Nobody to talk to. Nobody new to meet. She missed seeing Samson although he did make her life miserable. URGH! Stupid, annoying ... sigh ... brother.

Hrpmh.

And she missed seeing Dietreich. He was one of those rare people she was all cheery around. Where was her saviour?

Pouting, the girl sat down on one of the couches, ignoring the crowd around her.

James was not surprised that Katelyn did not remember him. He hugged her back either way.
"Well, I'm James." he smiled brightly.

Cela turned her head and looked at him thoughtfully for a second.

"You might be right, I guess it would depend on who's penguin it was too." She grinned when for some reason he felt the need to defend himself, "Okay, if you say so."

It wasn't like it was important or anything. She looked at her bag of sugar-free chilli flavoured candy slightly mournfully; it was almost all gone. She pocketed it and stared at the ceiling again.


Celandine couldn't help but laugh at watson boy at his whining tone.
"Looks like pirates." she answered at his next question. "Better than watching clouds since the ceiling stays the same."

But she really had to go do her homework now, she'd been putting it off which wasn't like her at all.

She stared crossly at watson boy. She'd blame him if her homework turned out less than perfect. Cela stood up and her expression changed again. She grinned and waved at everyone before skating toward the door; library time!

It didn't even cross her mind to find out what his real name was.

Edie sat down on the couch, carrying Minty. She had her wand and a couple of Minty's toys in her pocket. She put the cat next to her and retrieved her wand and the toys from her pocket. Edie placed the toys on the table in front of her and gave a swish and flick of her wand.

"Wingardium Leviosa," she said clearly.

She giggled because she saw Minty trying to catch his toys which were now hovering in mid air. The split second she took her eyes away and lowered her wand was when the objects lowered mid-air.

"I'll give them back to you," she said to Minty as she lowered the items back onto the table.

Samson wiggled his eyebrows at Cela, a smug grin on his face, as though gloating. "Yep! Penguins are part of the evil here. I'd rather hang out with house elves."

Then at the mention of pirates, his eyebrows pulled together. "Pirates?! Does it really?" He decided to look at it for himself, then shook his head. "Nah. Nope. I don't see it. All I see is a random array of swirls. And you're wrong, y'know. Clouds are so much better, since they move and change and stuff. A lot more interesting things to see rather than just one swirl on the ceiling." Yeah. As if he cared that much about ceiling decorations and cloud formations.

And their conversation was soon over when Cela decided to up and go. He gave her a slightly bewildered look as she stared crossly at him. What did he do?!

He just shrugged at her wordlessly as she proceeded out of the room.

Ahh. And just when Sam thought all the fun was over, Sabrina decided to come in.

No, he hadn't forgotten she was his step-sister now. No, he wasn't missing her. He'd spent all summer with her for heaven's sake, and they were forced to be together under one roof because of their parents. Blah blah. He had gotten over it slightly. His attitude with her at home and at school was different. She was still his vulnerable best friend whom he could annoy to any preferable end... Or no end at all. Heh.

"Heyyy! Sabrinaaaa! Over heeere!" Samson called in an airy, purposely long and whiney voice. He even coupled it with a lazy wave and beckon of a hand. He was tired, but not nearly tired enough not to entertain Sabrina first.

Upon hearing a familiar voice, Sabrina froze. It was a little too familiar. Although she had just been missing him, she suddenly wished she hadn't come to the common room. Still, she turned to look around the common room when she spotted Samson, waving lazily towards her. Stupid. Annoying. Brother. Sometimes she cursed the day she had bumped into him. That only lasted for a few minutes when she was really annoyed with him. Sooner or later, she knew she was being stupid and although he was an irritating prat, especially since he started spending time with Gavin, she loved him.

URGH!

Now she understood what the others where whining about. And what is worse is that she is stuck with Samson. They were right. Brothers are annoying. And even weirder was that they were of the same age ... okay, not really, Samson was a little older than herself. But same year and same house.

Could it get any worse?

Apparently not. And now, she can't ignore him either. Reluctantly, Sabrina got off her couch and walked up to where he sat, surrounded by girls. Haha.

"Hey Sammy." She said, using the nickname she had always had in her mind, but didn't dare use it before. It was only over the summer holidays that she decided she didn't care and started calling him Sammy anyways. Slumping down on the floor, the girl made herself comfortable, hoping he wouldn't give her too much of a hard time, or she'd have to leave.

"What's up?"

Katelyn smiled.
"Oh I love that name!" she exclaimed with a beam. She loved meeting new people..."Call me Kate. No one ever says Katelyn."

"This is your...fifth year? You look about my age!" she commented, observing him carefully. Of course he was taller then her, for she was tiny for her age. He already acted older than her. Kate didnt want to grow up, though. It was no fun.

Kate then sat on the ground with her cricket, and let him hop away. Loony much?

Edie sighed happily as she watched Minty sleep on her lap, gently tapping his toys with his paw. She looked around and she felt really happy.

"Maybe that's why I 'ended up' in this house. Because looks like I was smart enough to figure out how to irritate you," Emily said, a little annoyed. "And besides, books can only take you so far. I never imaged Hogwarts to be this great!" Emily sighed to herself, forgetting her irritation for a moment.

Then she noticed the girl who the boy was most likely speaking about. Emily remembered her name being Nia. "So you're a first year too? That's great. I can't wait for flying lessons. It's a shame first years can't have their own brooms, don't you think?"

"Oooh...", she winced as she saw Kate's bruises. Rolling up one sleeve, she showed a few, long scratches, which brought something else to mind, "Hey, where's...uh....umm..."

She blushed a bit--she couldn't remember the name of Kate's cats...

She looked up, and nodded politely to the Ravenclaw boy.

Antwone tussled through the wooden common room door after a long day when he saw a face he hadn't seen in ages.

"KATELYN! BLOODY HELL! I didn't even know you were at Hogwarts anymore!"

He rushed over to his old friend and smothered her in a bear hug.

"PONESSA YOU TOO!" Antwone shouted as he smothered her as well. The scars across his face stretched in three smiles along with his grin.

Katelyn sighed, her green eyes slowing turning a dull brown.
"Oh...uh...honestly. I dunno." she replied sadly, her shoulders drooping in depression. She missed Devil and Angel like CRAZY. She hoped they would return to her..she really missed her babies.


Kate screamed her head off, Antwone had scared the merlins pants out of her! She then gave Antwone a bear hug back, pretty strong for someone so small.
"ANTWONE! OH MY MERLIN!" she exclaimed with a giggle. "I havent seen you in AGES!"

After hugging him, she sat back on the ground, trying to braid her hair in pig-tails. "Wow, we are all scratched up," she commented, noticing Twones face, nessa's scratches, plus her own. Oh my merlin!

Antwone at first didn't know what Katelyn was talking about, then he touched his face, wondering how on earth he could forget that. Instinctively he look out the window, but it was still light out.

"Yeah we are aren't we?" he tried to get that part of his life out of his mind. "So how have you been? Why haven't I seen you in so long?"

Jezz strolled into the common room. She had looked everywhere for Ishni but couldn't find him. She looked up from her feet long enough to see her three closest friends, and then trip. Standing up, she ran over to them and hugged Twone then smiled at the others. "I've missed you guys so much" She said, smiling wider then she had in a while. "Have any of you by any chance seen a little red squirrel lately?"

Antwone hugged Jezzabell back with an intensity he was no longer shy of.

"No I haven't," he answered but wondered why she would be looking for a squirrel at all. "Erm ... why would you be looking for a squirrel?"

The answer didn't really matter to him though, he was just elated to be around her. He knew they couldn't stay friends any longer, or, he knew he couldn't stay friends with her. He'd realized this during his time away, during his time as an untamed beast.

Jezz smiled up at Antwone and ran her hand across the scars on his face then said. "Oh.. well he's my pet you see, his names Ishni. He ran off. I can't seem to find him anywhere." Suddenly aware of her other two friends she took a little step away from Antwone. She remembered how Kate was in the past on the subject of her and him, she didn't need any stupid comments made now.

Antwone was taken a little aback by Jezzabell's retreat but made sure to hold on to her pinky subconsciously. He looked to the other two, or rather, pass the other two towards the bulletin board and suddenly remember a task he had not yet accomplished.

"Would any of you know where the 'Room of Requirement' is?" the Ravenclaw fifth year questioned. "I've heard rumors of it and I'm not quire sure where to find it, if it really even exists."

Jezz shook her head. "I don't know where it is but I heard Professors talk about it last term we were here. Why?" She wiggled her eyebrows at him, "Planning secret rendezvous?" She giggled. She was so happy to be around him again, and making him blush was one of her favorite hobbies. He was so cute when he blushed.

Kate gave Twone a long, curious look. He held that same look in his eyes that she now held, that he had been through a rough time. She gave him her biggest smile.
"I've been horrible this past year. But you know what, ITS OKAY!" she said, smiling. Kate was the ultimate optimist. "At least I'm still alive, ya know! and hey, lifes good now and thats all that matters!" she said, giggling a bit. To some, she seemed utterly psycho. To her friends, this was normal.

She gave Jezz a BIG hug as well!
"Sooo nice to see you, Jezzi!" she said with a giggle. She finished braiding one pigtail of her hair, and started on the other.

"No squirrels..whats his name? I am pretty darn good with animals!" she said excitedly. "I've never met a squirrel before. You have to introduce me!" she said cheerfully. SHe bounced a little, up and down, in pure joy of just thinking of meeting a squirrel.

"Well ..." Antwone began. "I received an owl this summer from Hogwarts ... There's a new, or should I say, old club being reinstated. Dueling Club, to be more specific. The headmistress informed me that I would head the Club alongside professor Dumont of Muggle Studies."

The scarred boy couldn't help but beam with delight. He still couldn't believe the honor that was bestowed on him.

"It's quite funny actually, especially sense I got in trouble for dueling with Shouou in our first year, remember? So glad Trelawney graduated. Better off away from Hogwarts, she is, if you ask me."

"I'm so sorry Kate," Antwone spoke with sincerity. He turned to Jezzabell have Katelyn spoke. "She really is good with animals."

Katelyn smiled at Antwone.
"You kinda like the captain of the club! Oh how 'radical'!" she said, using her new 'favorite' word. Kate used random words at random times in her very random life. She giggled. "Radical...funny word, really..." she mumbled, more to herself than to the others.

"I am pretty lousy at duelling. mostly because I dont beleive in it...really, violence is not in my rule book...but I just may check it out...I am pretty...'defense'less!" she finished with a giggle. Kate was a compulsive giggler.

"Oh, you have no reason to be sorry, Antwone!" she said, giving him a small grin. "now my father on the other hand..." she mumbled softly.

Antwone nodded to her last comment.

"Come to the first meeting and I may change your mind on the way you think about dueling." He smirked.
