Jenn jumped slightly at Toshi's voice. She smiled at him. "Hey Toshi!I'm doing great. How's things going for you?"she asked laughing slightly.

Cale had been holed up in his dorm room sick for a few days and while he hadn't had much in the way of social interaction, he had sure got a lot of reading and experimenting done. At least having the flu was good for something.

He stepped down onto the Common Room rug wrinkling his nose as he tried to fight back a sneeze. It didn't work.

"Ahhh - ahhhh - chooo!" The force of the sneeze sent him back a step and a loud Honk! sounded from upstairs where his honking daffodil Robin was being kept. "I'm ok Robin!" he called up the stairs to the plant.

Jenn jumped again at the sound of a sneeze and almost fell off of the ledge she was sitting on. She looked around for the source of the sound and saw a boy about three maybe four years older than her. She jumped of from the ledge and walked over to him. She handed him a hanky. "There. Use that, it might help."she said smiling at him. "I'm Jennumara Blood by the way. Call me Jenn tho."she said smiling still.

Valentine walked down from her dorm room. Half way down the stairs she heard a loud sneeze and a honk that followed after. Robin. She chuckled softly to herself walking down the rest of the stairs.

"Cale Thorton. Is this where you have been for ever it seems." Valentine skipped the last stair and walked over to her friend and a girl handing him a tissue. "Sick?" She asked sympathetically.

Cale turned, sniffling. Little did he know that a bit of snot was stuck to his cheek as he reached out for the hanky. "Thanks." He took it, blew his nose and then mopped up the bit of snot. He stuck the hanky into his pocket figuring she wouldn't want it back.

"Geranium?" he asked, of the girl's name, his mind immediately going to the name of one his favorite flowers. "Those are my favorite flowers. Never heard of a girl named after them though...Heather sure - Rose - Lily, even a Daisey or two... but not a Geranium."

And then the voice of Valey popped up in his consciousness. "Hiya Valey," He sniffled again. "Had the flu...first time in days I haven't felt bleck."

Jenn smiled back. "Your welcome."she said. Jenn frowned. "Not Geranium."she said exasperated. "Jenn-u-mara!"she said. She hated it when people got her name wrong. "Just call me Jenn tho for short. It will cut all the teaching out."she said smiling slyly at him.

Once again with the Valey, he was forever going to call her that and Valentine had just given up on trying to remind him she was Valentine, not Val, or Valen, or tina, or Valey. Just Valentine. "Did you have some medicane or like, herbal stuff. Herbs can work wonders." Valentine smiled and nodded, but she was talking to Cale. He most likely knew that already.

Valentine looked at the first year talking to Cale. She smiled at her. "Name is Valentine." She said to her.

"Oh Jenn," Cale said with a disappointed tone. A girl named Geranium would have been the pea to the pod of girl names. "Well, Jenn's a," normal, traditional, boring, "Nice name." He sniffled again, this time wiping his nose on his sleeve.

"Herbs?" he asked turning to Valey and raising an eyebrow at her like she was insane. "Course I used them." He shoved his hands into the pockets of his pants. "Which is why I was only in bed for a week and not a month. The Dragon Bell flu is the worst." He sniffled again.

"Dragon bell?" Valentine asked, She never knew there was different kinds of flu. To her the flu was just the flu. "That sounds..." a childish name? "Horrible. Well as long as you are better." She smiled and nodded at her friend. "So where were you off to Caley?" She asked him.

"I," he said thinking. "Was off to someplace - that's not the dorm rooms. I need a change of scenery." He buttoned the top button of his shirt and then tightened up his tie. "I probably should grab my robes though, it's drafty in here. Or is it just me?"

Ludo looked over from the tables as the older girl from the Observatory walked into the common room. "Hey...Mel, right? Over here." he called, beckoning her to the study tables. He didn't want to call to much attention to himself.

"It's prob is just you, but I am wearing a sweater." Valentine said pointing down to the black pullover she was wear. "I say you get a robe though, it's getting quite chilly outside." She nodded, wondering if there was snow on the ground yet or not. It had been a while since Valentine looked out a window.

"Right, well," he pulled his wand out and pointed it up the stairs. "Accio Robes." There was a whoosh and then his robes hit him in the face. "Omph."

There was a bit of wrestling involved with the robes, which entailed smacking Valey in the face with the sleeve of his robes. "So," he said coughing and trying to play his robe-in-the-face smacking off as non-embarrassing. "Where were you off to?"

Valentine did something between a sneeze and a cough when hit in the face with one of the wrestling arms of Cale's robes. She rubbed her nose when finally the boy had won the battle and was ready to venture outside of the common room. "I really had no clue." She said giving her nose one final rub. "I was thinking of making my way to the owlery to see if that was where Viola was."

"Why would your bat be in the owlery? Don't most bats and owls hate each other? " He buttoned up his robes, put his wand back into his pocket, and then headed for the door. "I bet she's off with Buddy flapping around and chasing fireflies."

"Viola has seemed to found a nice spot to hide in up there. Sometimes she goes off in there and plays around with me or something." Valentine shrugged- leaving the common room.

Toshi looked up and saw some other students from the observatory and walked over to where they were sitting and joined them.
"Hey there! We need to wait for Rachel! Who else isn`t here yet?"

Ludo looked over from the table as the younger boy from the Astronomy Tower entered the Common Room. He waved him over.
"Hey...Ok we'll wait for the rest. But I don't know an exact number...I only just found out, myself." He paused, not wanting to bring up the subject of the scroll until they were all seated at the table.

As Melinda walked around the common room, she noticed Ludo, waving at her. She approached and nodded her head towards her name comment from him. She took his hand and rushed him to walk out the exit of the room again.

"Come with me..." She said to Ludo, smiling, "We are going for the next clue, and we need all the help we can get..." She said, rushing again to the exit, now going to the Headmistreess' office.

Cale, who was busy carrying a large massonjar filled with what looked like slimey green rats tails walked in through the Common Room door just as Melinda rushed out. "Hey hey!" he called getting brushed back against the door. "Where's the fire?! Slow down!" He leaned out the door yelling after them as his jar sloshed a little.

Theresa came in the cummon room. She rushed and took a seat near the fireplace and saw Oscar coming to her. She begunn to pet her animal, but he soon felt asleep. Theresa hoped that she would meat some friendsthere...

In the far corner of the common room, sat a boy at a desk. He was writing something unknown from far to waste of hideous blue seas. No, this was not Jack, or even James for that matter. This boy had jet black hair and was dressed in all black. His clothes were kinda like an...alien costume, connected cloth covering his whole body up to his neck, like a turtle neck.

His desk seems to almost be transparent, and his writing was drawn out in a methodical rhythm. His chair looks like it is part of the slick desk, as if they attached and were one.

If you looked closely at this boy, he is not quite touching his quill. Next to him, is a small metal box, laying on the ground. If you start to get near him, you feel as if you shouldn't, but you will feel even more disturbed at the box, which makes you think of a towering...tower, sleek and black.

On the other side of the room, Jack sat on a comfortable plush chair, reading. Every few seconds, his eyes seemed to flicker over to the anonymous boy in the corner. Every few seconds, he flipped back a page. Every few seconds, he seemed calm down. What was going on?

Karma walked down the staircase from the girls dorm and down into the common room. Her tie was undone, and shirt untucked. She carried her robes on one arm and ran a hand through her hair to see if she noticed anyone in there that may have seen familiar. She saw a prefect yelling at a few students, and then a strange boy in a corner. There was another boy in the room as well, who she thought was absorbed in the other boy's actions. As she took her last step off the stairs, she decided to go over to the non-paranoid boy.

"Looks like we have a case on our hands," Karma said, walking up behind the boy and resting her arms on a chair nearby. "Karma Atkins. And you are?"

Rian stared at the stairs leading to her dormitory as she entered the common room. She was trying to decide if she wanted to go up there or stay down here. She decided on the latter, and started to cross the room, looking around. Most seemed in a conversation, and a particularly shy mood crossed her, so she settled for going to sit by the window alone.

She didn't exactly mind though, because it looked so pretty out on the grounds. she layed a hand against the window and let her mind wander.

Livvy yawned as she lugged in her trunk into the warm, cozy Common Room. How much she missed this place. She set her trunk down and grinned as she unwrapped her scarf and placed it on her trunk. "Hey Rian," she said, skipping towards the girl sitting next to the window.
