Startled, Daphne jumped in her seat slightly, blankly staring in front of her, quill in hand before glancing over her shoulder in the direction of the voice that had called her name. "Oh!" It was just Cale Newell. "I'm writing Davis an order," pausing, she chewed on her lower lip thinking that perhaps that sounded a tad fishy. "I'm asking my--our--my parent's butler to tell my parent's what I'll be doing with the money they sent me a while a go." Throwing a suspicious glance at the unknown students in the room, she leaned forward in the seat, free hand cupping around her mouth as she confessed to the prefect. "Truth is, I'm ordering a frog for Miss Jilain via owl but it's supposed to be a surprise."

Leaning back in her seat she picked up a catalog with leaping and blinking frogs gazing back at her on the cover. "I'd have to choose one appropriate for her though..."

Hannah walked over to Daphne and plopped down in a chair beside her. "Hey there," she said, grinning. It had been a while since she'd seen the other girl (and she remembered thinking she was a bit scary). "Jilian still doesn't have... one of those?" she almost said it aloud, but she was afraid Jilian could walk in any second. "Geez! I remember when you, me, and Demetria were all trying to get one for her. Poor girl. That was a long time ago, too. Like start of term!" She hoped she wasn't bothering Daphne, but it had just been so long since they'd talked.

Turning away from Cale, having showed off the Frog Catalog already. Raising an inquisitive brow it took her a few seconds to recall the girl's name. Although the face had been instantly familiar the name didn't follow it quite as quickly. "Well, yes," added Daphne a tad reluctantly, blushing with the attempt. "The frog hunt didn't go as successfully as I thought it would and I figured bossing around Davis would be much easier than waddling knee deep in dirty lake water."

Chalice pulled a quill and some spare paper out of her bag and began to draw. Actually she was just scribbling random lines on the paper convinced that it would create a bigger picture.

Hannah smiled. "Well, use the resources you've got, they say," she said with a grin.

Addie bounced through the portrait hole and found a nice cozy armchair to sit in. She glanced around the room quickly, not really looking at anything in particular. She pulled a letter from her pocket and opened it. She immediately recognized Hero's neat script and smiled as she read the letter from her little sister.

Demetria felt a little left out considering Sneeze and Shaylee had gotten into a conversation of their own. "I'm gonna go sit over there." she told them, not sure they heard. She found a girl she hadn't met before sitting in an armchair. "Hi. I'm Demetria." she introduced herself.

Sneeze noticed Demetria leave. He was a bit surprised. "Well, see you later, Demetria."

She smiled back. "If you want, we could meet somewhere later." she suggested giving him a little wave goodbye.

Hannah saw a girl walk into the room and pull out what she assumed was a letter from home - the happy look on the girl's face gave it away. She saw Demetria walk over to her and decided that it was always good to be friendly and whatnot. She strode confidently over and sat down near the girl. "Hey," she said, smiling. "I'm Hannah. Hey, Demetria," she said, greeting both of them in turn.

"Hey hannah! Haven't seen you in a while." Demetria looked behind her. I hope Sneeze isn't mad at me she thought as she bit her lip

"It has been a while, hasn't it? Classes are just so... time-consuming. So much to do, so little time, as they say," Hannah said.

"I hear ya. I've been so busy I haven't had time to go to some of my classes." she told her. "Stuff around here is crazy sometimes. Everything changes once you're at Hogwarts." she smiled at Hannah. "So what have you been up to?"

Nathaniel flopped down on a chair close to the fire and put his backpack on the floor. Wow was it cooold as ice outside. Why did he have to live in such a cold place?. Although he liked the snow it was way too cold. He was after all he did love the summer heat.

He looked around for someone to chat with as he unfroze himself

Chalice walked through the portrait hole. She peered around to see if anyone she knew was in the common room, none of her friends were. Chalice sighed and walked toward her favorite chair, but saw Nathaniel and decided that it would probably be best if she um... didn't sit only two chairs away from him. She found a free chair near the fire oh say four seats away. She raised her hand in greeting, expecting nothing more than a rude remark or total disreguard but she knew that she had at least tried to be civilized.

Nathaniel saw Chalice walk in and eye him. He saw her wave to him as he was taking a bite of his health bar. What did she want? he thought to himself as he waved back at her.

Chalice was pleasently surprised to see that Nathaniel waved back to her. "Maybe he isn't so bad." Chalice thought to herself. She smiled and felt really good that Nathaniel and herself had finally not got into a fight at the moment they saw each other. "How are you?" she asked trying to keep the friendlyness going.

Chris walked down from the boys dorm to see Chalice standing there "Hey Chalice!" he said giving her a hug. "How have you been?"

"Hi Chris! I've been fantastic, thanks. How has your life been?" Chalice responded hugging Chris back. She never really realized how much she had missed him while she had not talked or seen him for like a week or more.

"Im good." he said "Ive been at home cause my grandmother was sick but shes better now. But something good happened. My powers, you know my seeing powers i can use them fully whenever i want now!"

"Awesome! So, tell me what it is like. I'm kinda interested in this."

"Well it like knowing whats going to happen before it happens duh."

"Sorry, I guess that I just um... I don't even know really." Chalice said kind of stupidly.

"Well ask me something you want to know, an easy one though im new at this." he laughed sitting down in a squishy armchair

"Okay, ugh... Oh, I know what is my favorite of my powers?"
