Common Room
 

Welcome to the Gryffindor Common Room! Boys dormitories are upstairs and down to your left, girls, the same on your right. You'll find all of your belongings have already been been brought up.

Here is the perfect place to relax after a hard day of school, study, trade chocolate frog cards, play exploding snap or gobstones and to just have fun with your friends. Please don't let it get too messy...

Maggie was thinking it took ages to got in their common room from Great Hall and she wasnt sure she could remember the way, but when she saw th Common room, she was amazed, it was so cosy, she was just looking forward to sit in one of those comfotable-looking armchairs.

Shaylee walked with the other first year gryffindors until she got to the common room. She was so amazed at what was inside. It was the most homey place you could have asked for. Shaylee quickly sat down in on of the big comphy arm chairs next to another young girl.

Maggie was amazed and tired. Shaylee and Hayden were sitting in the armchairs, so Maggie moved nearer to them."Hmm, dont you know with who are we supposed to be in rooms?"she asked them. She even didnt know for how many poeple the dormitories are. She like all the girls, but somewhere in back of her mind she wished to be there with Lizzie and Erica, and Kairi, if the dormitory was for four. "With whom would you like to be in dormitories?"she asked Shaylee and Hayden.

Nathaniel was so happy to leave the fest. He'd eaten enough and was ready to chill out for a while before going to bed.

Not paying much attention to the surroundings, Travis entered the Gryffindor common room, sitting himself on a comfy-looking armchair.

Needing to get his mind away from his best friend before he drowned in grief, he looked around and smiled at a boy he'd glanced at in the Great Hall. "Hey, I'm Travis," he introduced himself, sticking out a slim hand for the younger boy to shake. "First year?"

Chris headed into the Common Room smile wide. This was great, finally Melinda said she loved him. He sighed and looked around the room. He saw Travis he didn't look so good, Chris's smiled faded. He went and sat next to Travis. "Hey Travis you want talk?" Chris asked him.

Hayden shrugged."I would want to room with my gal buddies. I guess thats who I'll room with. Who would you room with Maggie?"




Hayden smiled at Nate when he walked in and waved. So far he was the only one who actually got to know her.

Cale quietly snuck into the common room, and immediately scanned the room for Anna. Nope. The coast was clear. Letting out a sigh of relief, he plopped down on the nearest couch and looked around at the new arrivals.

Hmm, there was a firstie he hadn't met before. Smiling, he approached the girl and held out a hand for a handshake. "Hi there! I don't believe we've met. I'm Cale Newell, 6th year Prefect," he explained.

Travis turned at the sound of his name. His transparent gray eyes landed on Chris. "Oh, hey, dude. Um, it's nothing, really. I'm just thinking about...classes." He lied convincingly, his eyes falling to his lap. "How were your holidays? Did you do anything exciting?"

Hayden took his hand and shook it,"Hi. I'm hayden Hicks.First year." She smiled.She wanted to hit her head.Obviously he already knew that one.

Nathaniel looked up and said "Hello, I'm Nathaniel but most people call me Nate... and yes I'm a first year" he said with a smile

Nathaniel smiled at Hayden.

"Hey Nate whats up?" Hayden was glad to be able to socailize a bit.

Chris looked at Travis something wasn't right and it wasn't classes. "Well I am here if you want to talk." He told him. "Oh my holidays were good, nothing to exciting most spending time with Melinda, Jason and Jamie." Chris told him. "How about you?" He asked.

"Well, nice to meet you Nate. Welcome to Hogwarts," Travis grinned at Nathaniel. "So, are you looking forward to any classes?"

"Thanks Chris," Travis said sincerely. "That's good. I hung out with Caitlin a couple of days during the summer and I kind of avoided being at home, mostly strolling throught the city."

He played with a string that stuck out from the armchair. "Where is Jason, anyway?" Travis looked around the common room, expecting his friend to pop up from behind a couch. "I haven't seen him around..." No surprise, I barely looked at anyone during the feast.

Nathaniel thought about his answers for a few moments and replied to the older boy "Transfiguration and Care of Magical Creatures". "What are your favorite classes?" he asked.


"Not much. Thinking about going to bed soon. Gotta be ready for classes.. right" he said with a small yawn

"I actally don't no where Jason went I haven't seen him for awhile." He told him.

Cale shook Hayden's hand with a smile. "Nice to meet you Hayden. You looking forward to classes?" he asked.

He looked at Chris and Travis as they began to discuss Jason. Well, people were bound to ask questions sooner or later. "He's taking a little break from Hogwarts," he explained. "He's due to return next term, though!" he added with a grin.

Travis raised thin dark eyebrows and he smiled at Nathaniel. "Those are my favorite classes! Well, Transfiguration is, anyway. Defense Against the Dark Arts is cool too," he nodded. "Herbology is...managable. And, let's see. I think I'll be starting Divination this year and I haven't got a clue if I'll do well in that class."

"Have you checked out the school grounds?"


"Oh, that's too bad. I don't think I saw him at all during the holidays..." Travis told him. This was good, having conversations so his mind wouldn't wander. He crossed his legs in the armchair, indian style. "So how's Melinda?"

Surprised, Travis turned to Cale. "Really? Aw, that's too bad. Is he okay?" he asked, worriedly, thinking yet another friend is suffering and close to death.

Grief washed over him before Cale could answer and Travis wished Caitlin was with him.

Chris looked at Cale, he was in shock, he would have thought that Jason would have told his best friend. "Cale do you happen to know why he left?" Chris asked but he had a good idea in his mind why he left.

Chris looked back at Travis. "Oh Mel shes fine how about Caitlin?" He asked.

Travis turned to Chris and swallowed. "Caitlin's...fine."

Hayden nodded,"True. I want to be attentive for my classes." Hayden yawned a bit as well.



Hayden nodded,"I can't wait for classes. My favorite is Herbology."

Sophia was stuffed from the amazing food she had eaten for dinner. She was so happy that she had been sorted into the same house as Nathaniel.Although they were dating they really didn't act like it... which was ok. People would probably think they were nutters for dating. They were only 11 years old.But on the other hand it wasn't like they had just met. They had lived next to each other since they were toddlers.. they just didn't know each other came from magical families. She looked around the common room. It was really amazing. She looked to her right and there was Nathaniel talked to two people she didn't know. "Hey Naaaaaaattteeee!" she called across the common room. She didn't care if she was loud. That's who she was. She really liked Nate. He was an amazing guy. He wasn't immature like the other guys their age.
