Katrina jumped slightly at the professor's transformation. This could take some getting used to, she thought. Okay, time to pick an animal! Let's see......she'd never liked too much of the cute cuddly animals anyway...... and why not take a risk? Aiming her wand at the small sweet in front of her, she said," Tiger Snafius Danium!" Grinning, she took the sweet and popped it into her mouth. She watched as a wave of orange and black spread over her skin, and soon enough it covered her whole body. Little tingles in her mouth informed her that her teeth had sharpened slightly. Cool! she thought, a little tiger grin on her face. Okay....and the fur should fall off in a couple seconds after this. Katrina waited, one second...... five seconds....ten..... fifteen........ twenty- why wasn't she changing back to her normal self? As it ticked past forty seconds, she began to panic. Thankfully, a second later, her fur began to fall off, and in a few seconds she stood there, normal, human Katrina again. That..... was scary, she thought. Raising her hand, she said," Professor, is there any chance of the spell becoming permanent if we don't use it properly?"

Hmmm, a hedgehog would be nice, Liz thought. Let's give it a try. Good thing it was a small danish...

"Umm, professor, does it matter, what size your danish was, for the type of animal?" Liz asks raising her hand.

Laylee looked down at her own danish with excitement after having Oooed and awwwed at the fox her Professor had turned into.
Laylee decided to start with something small. A bunny rabbit would work!
"Bunny Snafius Danium!" Laylee said loudly thinking with all her might about rabbits.
Then Laylee closed her eyes, hoping it wouldnt hurt, and plopped the danish in her mouth.
In front of everyones eyes, Laylee turned into a large white Bunny, much like the Easter Bunny and then after a few moment the animal shed its fur and left standing in amazment was Laylee, her mouth hung open with a small smile.
"Wow!" She said to herself. "That was weird."

Tomasina look at her Danish wondering what sort of animal she wanted to turn into, and even if she wanted to be an animal. She didn't have the face for fur. She always wondered what if would be like to have wings. Then again being a snake would be sort of cool too. This was hard, she didn't want to be anything gross of manly. She pointed her wand at her danish, "Cat snafius danium." she said. She sat there and looked at the danish. Ok did she really want to be her own test rat? Where was a silly first year when you need one? Ok here goes nothing, she picked up the danish and popped it into her mouth. Hmm, nothing. Oh for the sake of Merlin's cue bald head! Tommy blinked a few times, and she was fluffy fat cat! Oh thats just great! Why do I have to be fat. She looked down and licked her brown paw a few times before she turned back to her old self.

"Ok other than licking myself that was pretty cool." She said after she regained her equilibrium.

Fun? Had Ellie really said it would be fun? Hmpf. "I don't think it will be fun, Eleanor. Sorry." She whispered through the corner of her mouth, trying hard not to sound too harsh. Obviously Ellie hadn't spend a third of last term locked up in some cage as a panda bear. Obviously.

When Pride began talking again, Evangeline sighed and watched as the other students did the incantation. Ugh. She hated missing out a spell really. And .. well, she could do the incantation ... but she'd refuse to eat the result of it. Turning back to Ellie, she raised an eyebrow. "I can do the spell ... and you can eat my danish, if you want to." It sounded rather fair, that way she could practise. "What do you say?"

Sabrina stared in amazement as the professor turned into a fox after eating the danish. She eyed her own danish with apprehension, she didn't want to do something wrong and end up as an animal forever. She took a deep breath and swallowed her fears, she was a Dumbledore and they didn't back down from anything. She knew what animal she was going to change into, it was the animal that she hoped to be her animagus form one day. "Wolf Snafius Danium," she said pointing her wand at the danish. She took a bite and the next thing she knew she was looking up at all of the students and had four legs and a tail. Sabrina waited patiently for the spell to run it's course and was slightly relieved as she turned back into a human. After quickly checking to make sure she didn't have a tail she smiled and watched as other people tried their own danishes out.

"There is a very small possibility, you'd have to really mess up for that to happen." Alex explained with a nod, "But none of you have to worry about that, I can always change you back is something happens."
Alex shook her head, "Nope, it all depends on your spell work, though I dont advise any of you to attemmt an elephant of a whale inside my classroom." she said with a smile.

Anna stared at her danish as if it's just grown a mouth and starting chatting away to her. It looked...dangerous. Maybe it was because all Anna could think about was what happened to some of the students last term. What if Anna turned into an animal and could never return back to her human form?

Relax, Greingoth. Everyone else is changing into an animal, including the professor, and they're all just fine.

She took a deep breath, stood up from her chair, and pointed her wand at the danish. "Puppy Snafius Danium!" she called out, her eyes tightly shut in anticipation. She then picked up her danish and took a bite out of it, slowly at first, and then, when nothing happened, she ate more at a normal pace.

Hmm. This isn't so ba----

She soon found herself getting shorter...and shorter...and shorter until she had, indeed, changed into an adorable little Collie puppy. She wagged her tail once, then changed quickly back into her human form.

That was actually pretty cool!

Crystal laughed at the professors comment she then turned to her dansie and said Dog Snafius Danium she felt a little weird and looked down to see her transformation only to find it hadnt worked properly and all she had that was at all dog like was a tail. Erm Professor mine didnt work right she laughed as she began to do a tipical dog activity of chasing her tail

Jai shuffled uncomfortably in her chair and rubbed her arm "I don't think I want to do this." she mummbled pushing her danish's away from her. She didnt want to have to eat it, she'd been through that already and she didn't wan't to go through it again. Putting her wand on the table she watched as girls happily transformed.

Monica shivered next to Jai, she turned to her friend and shot her a "Are they off their rockers?" look. She calmly raised her hand, hoping the professor would call on her.

Alex gave a small smile, "Make sure you stress the 'fius' part of Snafius. 'snaFIUS DANium' Like that."
Alex, who was not in a good mood as it was, frowned. "You may participate in class or you may leave." she said giving a nod to the door. "There is no reason to be nervous in the least bit, unless you dont have confidence in my ability to transform you back."


Pointing to the Gryffindor girl she added, "Yes? What is it dear?"

Monica spoke softly. "Professor, I too am one of the victims of last term. I'm a little scared about this, but I want to try. Will you promise to turn us right back?"

Crystal stopped chasing her tail to listen to the professor. Okay Professor thank you, Once her tail had worn off she walked up to the front to get another dansie. This time she made sure to pronounce the incartasion correctly, Dog snaFIUS DANium, This time when she looked down she was completley a dog and again started to chase her tail untill she needed to scratch her ear. Professor is there anyway of making the effect of the dansie longer?

Laylee, still a bit amazed that she had just become and animal moments ago, looked around at the class. She frowned suddenly as students were loking nervous and asking if they had to participate. Why wouldnt you what to join! Its fun, and weird!
Laylee shook her head and looked back at her own desk. What next?
But, before Laylee picked another creature she looked up at the professor and raised her hand.
"Professor, does this Transfiguration spell work with magical creatures as well? Such as a Pygmy Puff or a Hippogriff?" She asked.

"I doubt I'll have to, but I will promise you that you wont leave this classroom as an animal m'dear." Alex said with a gentle smile, "I have full confidnce in your ability to perform the spell correctly, but never the less, I will be standing by just in case."

Alex laughed, "I think you need to wait toil your change back to ask your question." she said with a wink, as all that had come out of the dog was a few short barks.

"Yes it would, though you would only have the form of that animal, for instance if you were a dragon, you couldnt breath fire. Also you'd be that animal such a short time, I dont recomend trying to fly." she responded.

Laylee smiled, and nodded. "Thank you Professor!" She said turning back to her desk.
She thought hard about Cleo looking at the new Danish on her desk and said, "Pygmy Puff Snafius Danium!" And popped the Danish in her mouth.
Slowly Laylee shrunk into a pink puff ball, a bit larger than normal. Laylee the Pygmy Puff squeaked and jumped for about 5 seconds and then shed her fur and was big and human again. Laylee smiled up at the professor, excited about this new trick.
She had never eaten a Canary Cream before, so it was a completely new experience!

Crystal totally forgot that she couldnt speak as she was still a dog and decided to have a walk round the class while she was waiting for the effects to wear off. She hadnt got far before she was human again down on all fours.
Jumping up she repeated her question, Professor is there anyway of making the effect of the dansie longer?

Monica pulled out a mirror when she did this she wanted to see if she became the same animal that she had been changed into last term. "Cat snaFIUS DANium." She said to the tiny danish and popped it into her mouth, she felt the same pain she had when she had been forced to transform last time. She waited till the pain passed and looked into her mirror and hissed wildly, as once again her reflection was that of the black cat she had been last term. A few moments later after she had shed and was herself again, she lay her head in her arms and cried, all those memories coming back.

"If you also put a strengthening spell on the danish, I believe the effects would last longer. Though I wouldnt experiment with it right now, I'll check it out first, then if I'm successful (AKA - if you dont see an animal wondering around the school and I have disappeared) then I may let you try it."
Alex sighed, "The mirror probably wasnt a good idea dear." she said as she walked ovr and handed the girl a tissue. She gently patted the girls shoulder and asked, "Are you alright now?" If the girl acted this way with a very short transfiguration period, Merlin knows how the rest of them will react through out the year.

Monica nodded. "I'm alright professor. Just bad memories. Can I ask you a question though?" Monica asked as she wiped her eyes. "What could make a person become an animal for months like what happened to us last term?"

Katrina sat back down her seat and watched the others tranform into their chosen animals. But soon enough she got bored, and decided that it would be fun to try another animal. Aiming her wand at the remaining danish on her desk, she said," Hippogriff Snafius Danium!" She picked up the sweet and popped it into her mouth, and a few seconds later her legs had turned into a thin horse's legs and her lower body had become that of a horse, while her upper body sprouted feathers, her hands became talons and her mouth turned into a hard, sharp beak. She galloped-no walked- um, gallop-walked around the classroom for a few seconds before she returned to normal, and found herself on the floor. Scrambling up, she noticed an older Gryffindor girl crying at another table. Professor Pierce was standing next to her, apparently trying to comfort her. Katrina was a little confused; the girl had seemed nervous earlier about eating the sweets, but why would anyone have anything against turning into animals? She shrugged and decided she might as well ask some one else later. Perhaps one of the older students would know why some of the kids didn't like Tranfiguration.

Alex bit her lip, thinking, "Well, I believe it was tainted candy that turned you into animals, so I'm guessing a potion of some sort. You'd have to ask Professor Bra... I mean our potions teacher to get the full answer." For a moment, Alex had forgotten that the boy and girls were seperated, as she remembered, a fresh wave of anger coursed through her and she got an idea for her next lesson.

Amanda looked down at the danish and said "Snake Snafius Danium" She ate the danish and then turned into a snake, how appropriate for a Slytherin to turn into a snake, she thought and then went back into a human. "Wow, that was awesome".

Steelsheen was about to cast the incantation when something occurred to her. She raised her hand and asked "Professor Pierce, what would happen if all you said was the incantation and not the type of animal?"
