Professor St. Toussaint opened up the doors to her classroom with no particular vigour.

"Come on, ladies, class time! Let's go! Let's go! Let's go! Sometime today would be nice!", she piped out commandingly in a voice that only Betty Boop would envy. She took her wand and stood behind her desk as she waited for the class to fill.

Gem continued to fondly stroke the Mount Of Venus, and her hand half raising once more, she scooted to the edge of her seat with a faraway grin. "And, I think, that Venus is quite very important. When it's quite large it's supposed to denote the love of the opposite gender, and beauty, and art. I love art." And beauty, but there are so many beautiful things. A button is beautiful, and the scuff marks on my shoes. One faintly resembles a teddy bear... She trailed off to glance at her rubber shoes to make sure her old scuff mark was there, and then looked back at the Professor. "And when it's crossed with little lines, it denotes great passion." She traced her own lines, giggling at the tickling feel. At Issy's laughter, she turned and beamed at her friend, discreetly waving.

Kaika raised her hand and answered, "The index finger is ruled by Jupiter. The middle finger is ruled by Saturn. The ring finger is ruled by the Sun. The pinky finger is ruled by Mercury. The thumb, besides all the discussion in class before, is ruled by Mars. And the area below the thumb is called Mount Venus, which reflects our emotions, close relationships and family ties" she said, leaning back, and eyeing the Ravenclaw girl with the odd answers.

Crystal had a look through her book then joined her class mates in answering the question.
Professer Jupiter rules the index finger, i think that the middle is Saturn. Is the ring is ruled by Apollo or the Sun God and the little finger Mercury?
Once she had replied she continued to flick through hoping her answer would still be accepted after the others had answered

Ack! As Desdemonda replied, Issy glanced at her text. Of course - different books would have different opinions and ideas, all depending upon accumulation. And it sounded a bit like she was replying with... Greek names? Issy blinked, uncertain. She'd never heard of a planet Rhea. Wasn't Luna associated with moons?

Intriguded, Issy quickly scribbled down what the Slytherin had answered, squaring it in with heavy lines in a box, making a note of interest. Even if it didn't apply (or by chance did, it would be interesting information for future reference, she was sure.

Her head tipped to the side when she found that, Ari too, had replied with the same as the Slytherin and she leaned over a bit to look at the book Ari had. Maybe she'd pick up a copy of that, too. It couldn't hurt to own, could it? Gem replied with the same as she herself, though in a much more unique and cute way. Issy could not contain a giggle.

Still pondering the other answer, Issy's brows furrowed down. Wasn't Rhea a Roman goddess? Was she not the roman version of Hera...? Perchance Issy was wrong... and Apollo... was Greek. Did he have the same name in Roman mythology...? Oh, now her head was all kinds of confused. With her answer in the air, she chose to remain silent on this subject, rather than speak up and sound dumb. Maybe the Professor would elaborate on such points?

"Gooood job, Mamzelle! 2 points for Ravenclaw." St. Toussaint nodded towards the little Ravenclaw Miss whose name she'd have to get later.

There's one in every house. After a moment of awkward silence towards the little Ravenclaw, her countenance rather blank for a moment as she was not sure what to say, she replied. "Two points to Ravenclaw."

"Yes. Three points to Hufflepuff. And, you may note that sometimes the name and placement of the mounts of Venus and Apollo are switched for one another, and the ring finger is associated with either Apollo or Venus. It all depends on the Cheiromancer."

"Yes, and the ring finger is also sometimes ruled by Venus. It just depends on the Cheiromancer." St. Toussaint nodded and made her way over to the front of the class. "Good. Two points!"

"Alright, ladies. That'll do for now. Be sure to check the corkboard for your homework for this class. If you have any questions be sure to come by my office. You are dismissed!" And with that she plopped down into her seat making a note of the chatters and bright performers in the class.

Jessica smiled as she was awarded 2 more points. She gathered her things quickly and greeted the professor before leaving the classroom.

Krissy smiled as she picked up her bag. "Thank yeh for an enlightening class Professor. I shall make sure to pay more attention to questions asked in future classes before answering." Turning a little pink in the cheeks she hurried from the class hoping she wasn't a huge disappointment to the new Professor

After the professor said they were dismissed, Rhiannon carefully slid the sketch into her bag with the rest of her notes. She had a feeling that she was coming off as not as smart as the others, due to her quietness. But there wasn't much she could do about it now. She would just have to make up for it on the homework.

Standing, she walked out of the classroom, ready for her next class or whatever was going to happen next.
