Miles made himself comfortable, which was a difficulty. Once again he was saying goodbye to Vannie. Grr. He looked up at Clifford and smiled slightly. "Yeah, I'm fine." He said quietly. "This is the first time I've gone on the train and stuff, this sin't normal right?" Miles asked. Suely it wasn't, everyone else seemed confused too, but it didn't hurt to ask.

Miles snorted. "What's wrong with cats?" He asked. Ok, cats were a bit freaky and sly, but a kicking? Sounds like aggresive Clifford talking.

"I dont get why everyone has their panties balled up. who wants girls in a carriage with us anyway? Always crying or talking about fairies and kittens. Who needs them? I hope they ship them away to hong kong" Not howard.

Barry was sad he couldn`t find anyone he knew well so he sat with Billium and Ignatius "Hey guys how are you" he said there were still tear marks all over his face.

Ignatius frowned and turned around, "Erm...who might you be?" he asked politely. The boy had butted in on their conversation, yet seemed alot younger than Ignatius himself.

Another person joining them. "Hello Barry...was it? I forget, it has been a while since I last spoke to you. So much has happened since then," he smiled at the boy. "How are you?"

Howard checked out the new person. he looked young too. "Hey man. I'm Howard." Howard offered his hand to both the boys. "Howard Hill."

"Ignatius. Ignatius Potter," Iggy said, shaking the younger boy's hand. "Nice to meet you Howard." He ran his hand down the front of his shirt, removing any creases as he went. "So what year are you in Mr Hill?"

"As bad as I look" he said "I`m sorry if I sound rude i`m just very sad"

"this is my 1st year here, Mr. Potter. Do you teach here?" Howard wasnt sure. "no need to be sad, mate," howard said to the other boy. "Girls smell."

"I have half of my family girls you don`t understand" said Barry to the boy "I had freinds, I had family I had more and now its been snatched away from me"

"Why are you sad?" Iggy asked, "There is nothing to be sad about. We are not at war. And we are about to start a new year of our education."

"Of course I do not teach. I am not old enough for such an occupation. I am a Seventh Year. Slytherin," Ignatius said. "I tend to stick with formalities, until I know you better."

Niall walked over towards, what seemed like a crowded carriage, but none the less, there was at least another spot for him to join. He also chose this one because his only known friend was Ignatius, and he was sitting with some lads. "Mind if I join in, sir's?" He gave them a smile and took a seat in the carriage.

"OI, you bloody bloke!" Lucern hissed, prancing up to the carriage. "What? You expect me to jump up in there." He meowed and put all of his strength in his back legs and pounced up into one boys lap. "Oh, do sorry, lad." He swished his tail and walked on more peoples laps until he got on to Niall's. Niall rolled his eyes.

"well that sounds right as rain to me, Ignatius Potter. I'm a formal chap. How could anyone with a name like Howard not be formal?" Howard laughed

"thats some drama there."

Clifford shook his head at Miles' question about this not being normal. "Nope, this has never happened before." He said seriously, looking back out at the two queues. "Normally, anyone can just like, bundle into any carriage. I'm sure everything will be okay when we get up to the feast though." Everything would be okay when they got to the sausages.

It seemed his cat kicking comment hadn't recieved a very good reactions and Clifford looked between his friends. "Okay - I only kick them when they scratch me first!" He said defending himself. "But I still don't like cats ... they just use you." They got their food, and they vanished. Hmm. Sounded like a good life actually.

Ignatius nodded meakly to the new member. "Sure go ahead. Take a seat. Anywhere you want. There is a space next to me if you want to sit there," he rambled, "But there is also one opposite Billium. If you don't want to sit next to me."

"Ah well it does mean, noble watchman. I guess you watch the nobles," Iggy smiled, "But it does not mean you are formal. Just the derivative of the word. Just like my name means burning or ardent. But I am neither."

"From what I understand as a Slytherin I am noble. a nobleman to be envied. The BEST house. No offense to you blue Ravenclaw people." Howard smiled but gave the very noble and formal Mr. Potter a wink.

"Really Slythrin the house of cunning not bad but Ravenclaw much better house of wisdom we are known for that ever heard of Rowena`s diadeam?" asked Barry smilling.

"I think sitting next to you, chap, would be just fine," Niall gave Ignatius a smile before he tugged on the side of his cap, re-angling it. He rested a hand on Lucern before starting to stroke his fur. Lucern replied back by purring. Niall started to chuckle. "This is probably the first time he hasn't blurted out anything around so many people," he nodded. "He likes getting the attention."

"I see you are both against House Unity. We are meant to be one, not seperate. The Diadem was a little tiara type thing. Nothing to be too proud of. Many people have tiaras. I do know my mother has one for parties," Ignatius said. "No house is better than any others. We are here to learn, not to start wars."

Ignatius grinned, "I think you would prefer to sit next to an older gentlemen. These young ones seem to be too caught up in the segregation of houses, and even sexes." He shook his head, chuckling slightly, "Poor cat. Attention is only for those that deserve it. And you being able to talk is surely something of merit."

Howard snorted and sounded like a pig. "Well im proud of my house and no ones gonna tell me differently. Being proud isnt going to war. Besides I said I thought the Ravenclaw chap was cool." Howard laughed out loud at the nonsense. "Your cool, Ravencalw chaps."

Niall gave out a small laugh. "Ah you younger ones, don't know what life is in store yet. House unity is what we want here, not hatred," he rolled his eyes and stopped petting Lucern. "See, Ignatius and I are friends, both of different houses, yet do we hold it against eachother? No." He gave the younger boys a smirk of a smile.

"Yoi blokes don't know nothin about hatred of houses. Try being a lord in having a beef with another lord only one meadow away from yer," Lucern meowed out while stretching his legs.

" Well , there just smart " he said now defending Cats, half in disbelife that the was actually having a convosation about Cats. " well there smarter than Dogs anyway " he concluded glancing ddown the line of coaches. Deciding that the time called for it, and it had been ages since he spoke about it, he brought up quidditch " trying out for the team this year Cliff ?" he didnt need to ask the question, Clifford was bound to try out, he was a good player.

"Ah see I never said not to be proud of your house. I was just stating that none of the houses were any better than the others," Ignatius stated. He began petting James.

"They should try living before they decide which side to fight for. I am more of a pacifist than a fighter. I'll receive whatever you are giving," Ignatius smirked, "I hold nothing against you Niall. Nothing at all."

He laughed at Lucern, "Calm down old one. That time has long gone. The lord you fought has been long dead. Be grateful you are alive, even if it is in a cats body."

Garret grinned at Curt (he was rather proud of himself for making an older guy who looked kinda cool laugh), but then he said that thing about him changing his mind about girls. He made a face at the suggestion and declared in a confident voice, "I don't need that kind of trouble."

He gave the seventh year, Tancred, a significant look. Who needed to be as depressed as that bloke was just cos he couldn't be with a girl?

Waving the disturbing subject of girls aside, he grinned at the other older guy who said he was dusty (Flynn and him must be really cool to have attracted all these older kids to their carriage), "I haven't learnt it yet, but I bet I could cast a Cleaning charm!"

Howard stared at the talking cat. "What in the name of pete the dragon is that? That aint right."

"That would be a cat," Iggy smiled, "Unless you are seeing something else. But I assure you, that whatever you are seeing, Lucern is actually a cat. Born of the feline species."
