All aboard the carriages leading up to the castle. But wait... if these carriages full of boys are leading to Hogwarts, where are the girls going?

Joseph ran to a Carriage, trying to catch one before it left, he got into one at the last minute, not really caring if people where in there or not, he just went to the corner, pulled out a book, and read.

After finally letting go of Vannie, Miles walked over to the carriages meant for the boys. He was not looking forward to this, most of his friends were girls. He would try his best anyway.

Surely they weren't going to spilt up for too long. Miles could handle it. He'd calmed down anyway.
Miles lookd at the carriages and the people getting into them. Which one would he go in? He needed to find Clifford, maybe a happy Clifford ...

He called sticking his head out and calling for the boy he'd met on the train. The boy who's socks he'd got gooey with ink. Hmmm. They would've dried now right? "Over here!"

Maybe Miles would burp with them too.

But cleared his mind, he had to be on task... "Well, I'm Curt... by the way." he said, with a big grin... might as well make the best out of the situation, flash some smiles; make some new friends.

Garret took in the newcomers with a bit of awe, cor... here was not ONE, but two older students coming to sit with them. Then he took in the shiny prefect badge and even though he had expressed his feelings towards the girl prefects (Slytherin and Hufflepuff) quite clearly... he couldn't help but be just a little bit intimidated and impressed by this one.

It was cos he was a boy, of course. And he KNEW that the other kid's name wasn't Flake. It was Flynn, he had known all along, course.

"I'm Garret," he said, shyly at first and then realizing how stupid he'd sounded, he went on in a tougher voice, which better suited his manly stature (ooc: as if), "I figured this ain't normal, considerin' all the noise everyone's makin'."

He rolled his eyes, "Who cares if we can't sit with the girls? All the better I say! Now c'mon! I'm hungry!" he called this last bit out to the people still faffing around on the platform.

Ray noticed someone on the carriage he already knew, and he was talking to what seemed a first year student.
"Curt!! Hey Curt, Hey mate" Ray greeted both students. "So Curt do you know what's going on? Why are we being seperated it doesn't make sense" Ray continued as he looked the carriage that was full of boys. It was weird because for the first time since his first day at Hogwarts that he couldn't hear girls laughing loudly or whispering something about someone. It was all strange.

Miles heard his name being called. It wasn't Vannie's voice .. it wasn't even a girl's voice. He turned to a carriage where Clifford was poking his head out of.

Miles was saved.

He smiled up at him and walked towards the carriage and climbed in. "Thanks" Miles said to Clifford and sat down. There was also another boy in there with him, who seemed much younger than himself and Clifford. "Hey." He nodded towards the young boy.

Finn slowly made his way to the boy's carriages. "Why can't we ride with the girls?" he asked to no one in particular.

He pulled himself up into the first one he came to and kicked the floor with his yellow converse shoe, while he thought of spending the feast with his housemates and some time with Hermy.

Dan had since like the others had apparently done tryed to Push the separation thing to the back of his mind, afterall even if it was as bad as it looks people wouldnt stand for it for that long. He now watched the burping going on infront of him with a rised smile and continued to watch the dog ... rodent .. thing in the younger boys ( who he now knew was named Aiden) hands. " I have a Cat " he said to nobody inparticular, thinking that seems how everyone else was talking about their pets that he should contribute too.

Nicholai, grimaced as he stepped onto a carriage. He moved as quickly as he could to find a seat; not caring if there was anyone else in the one he chose. As an after thought he made a space for Jose. He turned and stared out the window.

"You there!" Trey said nodding his head the older Slytherin's way. "You seem old enough to know what's going on here. Do tell if you have any information on why the split and why it's causing so much commotion." Trey's sense of higher nobility was kicking into sixth gear. His brown eyes lay almost squinting like with his right eyebrow raised questionly.

Kayla stepped inside the boys carriage not caring if she got into trouble. She rolled her eyes at Jose. "Hey Nico, are you..." she trailed off as she got a closer look at him. Ross walked over to a carrige alone as he hadnt made any new friends on the train and jumped into the empty carridge hoping that it will move away quickly so he could be on his own

Though his care for the rules was decreasing, Zander did wonder when the gender rule was put into place. It was starting to be more like his father's fifth year, when Delores Umbridge became Headmaster. And that was something Zander did not want to be present for. He would get expelled if he did.

Nico turned, his expression thunderous at the presumptuous way the boy had addressed him. “Did your father not teach you to show proper respect? Finn looked around and had a bad feeling that he wouldn't be seeing Hermy for a while...or any girl for that matter. Something about this didn't feel right. He looked around and wondered why the separation? Was the school going to separate the genders?

He didn't like this at all?

Always got a bottle on me you never know when you're going to need it."

Jose looked at Nico "I have been to st mungo that many time and helped them out with some healing spells my grandma works there and i help her out sometimes, I have seen healing spells used loads of times and I have used them loads of times"

Nico looked at the bottle briefly before opening it and throwing it back in one. He nodded at the taste. "It will help a little. If only to get me to.....wherever."
