Bob Thornton sat waiting for the boys to start arriving. "Boys this way! ONLY Boys!!" He screamed impatiently, while he picked the crumbs from lunch off his large stomach and greedily shoved it in his mouth. "I ain't got all day! I want to get to that feast." Bob called lazily, looking at his watch.

Aiden Everett had hopped off the Hogwarts Express, a wide grin on his face. He did think the new, gender-separated carriages were strange, but the boy didn't give it much thought. Aiden was more of a go-with-the-flow type kid; he didn't like to question things. It just made people angry, he'd realized.

"Hello," Aiden squealed to the man he saw there, waiting for all the boys. Then, with a quick grin, the second year Gryffindor hopped into an empty carriage. This wasn't a surprise; Aiden was the only boy who'd left the platform to get on the carriages.

Clifford watched the old dude with the large stomach with mild interest as he approached what was apparently the carriages for the boys. This new separation thingy wasn't really bothering him all too much at the moment, it wasn't like he had somebody out on the platform to say goodbye to right now.

With a sigh, and a promise to himself never to eat so much and get a giant, bouncy belly like that man, Clifford heaved himself into a carriage.

"Hi!" Aiden nearly shouted, surprised by the sudden entrance of another boy into his otherwise-empty carriage. As always, the second year's voice was squeaky and high-pitched.

"This is weird, huh?" he added, trying to make small talk. To make sure the other boy knew what Aiden was talking about, he nodded towards the two lines forming outside, one of girls and the other of boys.

David glanced passively at the small man with the large stomache, he stifled a laugh and pulled himself into the first carriage he found, Why are the girls and boys being separated during the feast? he thought, never in his years of Hogwarts had this ever happened.

Ignatius frowned. Why was he being lead a different way to the girls? Not that he was complaining, it just felt like a stupid thing to be happening. He joined with other boys, that he didn't know.

"WHOA!" Clifford jumped when he heard an ear-splitting high pitched squeak, nearly chocking on his liquorice wand and for a second he thought one of the girls had snuck into their carriage. That was until he saw another boy, a younger looking boy.

"Uh hi." He said unsurely, leaning back in his seat and looking out at the two gender separated lines. "Yeah - It is pretty freaky." He agreed distractedly, watching as some older boys joined them. "Any idea of what's going on?" It was worth a shot.

Jason joins the boys carriage- not cool.

Iggy saw a new boy enter the line thingy with him. "Erm hi. I am new to the school and I was wondering whether this always happened?" Iggy asked the boy. He held on tightly to his trunk and had his other hand in his pocket.

Aiden giggled, though he didn't realize that he was the reason this older boy had jumped. The Gryffindor was used to his squeaky voice, so he never found anything about it even slightly frightening.

"Nope. No idea at all," Aiden replied, his voice not showing much care. Though he hadn't thought any of this through, the boy didn't think it mattered much. Who cares if we have to ride up to the castle separately? We'll all be together once we return to school.

"I'm Aiden," he then added, beaming at his new acquaintance.

Caleum noticed the boys making their way towards the carriages. They needed to gather in the carriages as fast as they could to get to the school. "Make your way towards the carriages, fellas, so that we can get there as quickly as possible," he stated in a stern yet loud voice to over power the voices of the other students.

Ignatius heard a familiar voice behind him. He spun around on the spot. His eyes shrunk slightly. It was that jerk from the joke shop. Well one of the jerks. He couldn't believe this guy was a teacher at the school. Well Iggy presumed he was a teacher, since he looked old. "Why do we have to? Where are the girls?"

Cale headed towards the carriages, and saw someone who was clearly a professor--or at least, an authority figure--speaking to them. "Is it true?" he asked him as he climbed into a nearby carriage. "What they're saying on the platform? Boys are going to be seperated from the girls all the time?" he asked.

" Iggy, my name is Jason Potter Weasley and this is not right. "My granparents Ron and Hernoine Weasley and cousin Harry Potter would never stand for this idea." Jason told him. "This use to be boys and girls and used to be HogWarts".Jason told Iggy.

Ignatius frowned, "I never told you my name. How do you know it?"

"It used to be Hogwarts? What is it now then? Because from what I know, I have been accepted to Hogwarts."

"Hey there Aiden." Clifford couldn't help but grin back at the squeaky voiced kid. It was as though that beam plastered across his face was infectious. He still wasn't feeling terribly happy though. "I'm Clifford."

Clifford raised an eyebrow as the boy giggled, the corners of his lips twitching in amusement. The kid didn't seem greatly bothered about the separation and Clifford decided to take a leaf out of his book. They were only travelling to the castle separatly after all right? "I'm sure everything will be back to normal when we get back to the feast."

Will strode up to Ignatius and some Gryffindor boy who seemed to be on the verge of a row. He overheard Ignatius' comments. "It's Hogwarts, all right... just a little change of procedure, I gather." He shrugged, stuffing his hands in his pockets. "I'm sure it'll all be sorted out once we get to the castle."

" I think I overhead you tell someone your name" Jason told him. " You were accpeted at HogWarts and this stuff happens" Jason told him. " Like to lead a chaarge to get Hogwarts back, Iggy?" Jason asked him. "What about the rest of the boys here, are you with me?" Jason asked them

Draconis came down and noticed Jason Potter Weasley."Hey Jason!!!Have you seen Sabrina or Magesta?"Said Draconis."Is that the DADA teacher???I cannot wait to take that class!!"

"Oh I am glad. I still cannot believe my parents sent me to a school in the first place, and then to have it changed would be bad," he shook his head, "Good to see you again Billium. I am hoping you had a good trip up on the train?"

"I haven't told anyone my name since Diagon Alley and I have never met you before in my life. But I am Ignatius Potter. I prefer Ignatius. That is all I have told people. Iggy is so informal and childish," he said, offering his hand to the boy, "Nice to meet you Mr Weasley." He shook his head, "I am not leading any charge. I am happy with the current segregation." It is nice to finally meet boys!

"Great to see you too, Ignatius... Yeah, I had a fabulous train ride. I was hoping to see you there-- I trust your ride was comfortable?" He grinned; now wasn't the time to share the details of the ride. Not in front of this Gryffindor boy. "Billium Jones, Mr. Weasley... Slytherin Fifth Year prefect. Everyone calls me Will, though, and you can too." He offered a hand to Mr. Weasley, wondering what his first name was.

Caleum looked towards the boy that he obviously recognized from Diagon Alley. And deciding to answer both his question and the Gryffindor Prefect's question, obvious to him with the badge of course, he took in a deep breath and sighed. "You will both find out soon enough." His eyes followed the Prefect for a moment. "Why don't you go ahead and get to the carriages. Being a Prefect, other's should follow suit quick enough." He gave a small smile to let him know that everything would be okay, then turned his attention back to the students once again.

Garret walked along until he found a carriage with space enough for another in it, grinning he climbed in and settled down for a ride. His first ride to Hogwarts, COR he was excited! What made it better was that there wouldn't be any girls filling up the space with their hair and chatter on the way there!

He was liking the school already.

Something about the way the Professor addressed his question made Cale feel a little better. Maybe everything WOULD turn out ok...maybe he WOULD see Cora and Anna and everyone else again soon enough. He began wandering around, looking for an empty carriage. Or Jack. Either one would be great right about now.
