The Broomshed
The Broomshed is a place where the Hogwarts school brooms are stored when not being used by students participating in Flying Class or Quidditch. The shed is located one hundred yards from the Quidditch Pitch and appears to be on the verge of collapse to the untrained eye. Carefully open the door that miraculously hangs on rusted hinges and inside you'll find the broomsticks hanging from the ceiling and leaning up against the walls. Select your broomstick with care before heading out to class and return it to it's resting place when class is over. At the center of the room is a large wooden table surrounded by benches - take care not to get any splinters if you decide to take a seat while tuning up your broom!
Basic Broomshed Rules:
1. RP your character getting a broom for class/returning a broom/caring for a broom, etc. Please be aware that there are no Firebolts in the shed.
2. Broomsticks in here are for Flying Class and Quidditch uses only. If your character sneaks in to take a broom for a flight by the lake or on other areas of school grounds, expect a loss of House Points and/or Detention. If this becomes a problem (I hope it doesn't), the thread will be closed when class is not in session. On another note, all other kinds of RPing can take place in here - from polishing your broomstick to finding a quiet place to study, etc.
3. The Broomshed is not a place for public displays of affection (PDA) - violators will lose House Points and gain a date in the Dungeons (aka, Detention).
4. Observe SS Board Rules at all times.

Instead of making his normal retreat into his office, Vindictus went immeditately to his beloved Broomshed. Trays laden with mugs of hot cocoa, hot pasties, bowls of steaming chicken noodle soup, and freshly baked cookies were spread out on the massive work table that had been scrubbed down earlier that day. He grabbed a mug of cocoa and stood before the fire while waiting for students to arrive.

Seeing that the professor and two others were already there she decided to come in Hello, I'm Janie, she said walking over to the small group of people and grabbing some hot cocoa which felt quite good on her cold fingers.

Rhiannon walked into the Broomshed not far behind Marco and the others. She had slipped out of the stands quietly and made her way over not long after the professor had disappeared. Raising an eyebrow at the Slytherin captain's entrance, she walked further in the building to find that she was one of the first ones there.
Taking a cup of cocoa, she held it between her hands for a few seconds, letting the heat warm them, before taking a sip.

Christian strolled in rather leisurely, his hands shoved deeply into his robe pockets and his eyes staring at the ground. Mallory...NO. Stop that... He bit the inside of his mouth to make the thought go away; they had been jumping into his head all morning long and it was annoying the world out of him; he couldn't figure out why these thoughts came up. Mallory...ARG.
He put himself in the corner of the broomshed, he just wanted to blend in. Pretend as if nothing had happened the other day, so he stood and watched all the other kids file in and enjoy the food.

Rhiannon smiled a tiny bit as more people showed up. It seemed like a lot of people were willing to help their fellow students. She continued taking slow sips of her cocoa, letting it warm her up but trying to avoid burning her tongue. She also idly started wondering what her aunt and cousins would think if they saw what she was doing. The Rhiannon they knew rarely got involved in anything, and if her cousin had been shocked when he heard she was on the Quidditch team, she couldn't imagine what he'd say now.

Juno - once again, felt that his prefectdum implied that he go along and help. He'd rather be up in the library going over those new formals he'd come up with. At least then he'd be doing something he thought would be constructive. In his opinion, a bunch of students and professors traipsing around in the snow was only going to produce a rather nasty bought of colds and the flu.
He pulled his mustard yellow hat that Kemma had found/made him for christmas the year before onto his head. The yellow hid all of his black hair and covered his forehead and ears keeping them nice and warm. He pulled out his dragon hide gloves and shuffled past Professor Vindictus.

Juniper stepped into the broomshed. She bit her lip as she looked at the other students who had already reached the place. There certainly were a lot of people. Hopefully there would be enough that no one she did not already know would notice Juniper. That was always the best.
Her curls had not taken any notice of the effort Juniper had put into trying to pull her hair away from her face, so Juniper settled for using a hat to keep her hair at least out of her eyes. For the moment, the hat seemed to be doing its job well enough that Juniper could glance around to see if she knew anyone in the broomshed. | |

Christian moved over, closer to the fire - he was cold and his coat was helping any. He gazed intently into the fire, his brain shutting out everything else people were saying, it wasn't of importance to him. He was giving everything he had to make sure that he didn't do something stupid or say something for that matter.
