"A lot of strange characters pass through Hogsmeade on a regular basis," Vindictus added. "And not all of them are fashion savvy." He walked over to the table and swiped one of the pasties. "I think our problem is here in this school - transformation is being used against selected students and now a staff member."

Goodwin was frowning at her now, and Willow was not going to take it. Didn't anyone ever told her that she was rude? She still remembered vividly, how Juniper had been sarcastic to her, and now she was frowning at her.

How rude

"That's impolite" The second year noted sternly, regarding to the fact that Juniper had just frowned at her. Honestly, that girl really needed to learn some manners.

Willow was still eyeing the first year carefully, when she heard her speaking again. "I hope somebody find them too" She said, sincerely. Really, the fact that people had gone missing was pretty sad. And scary. From now on, like the coward she was, she was going to stop wandering around the grounds and the library by herself; She didn't want to be the next one.

"Turning into an animal must be terrible" She mumbled, more to herself than to Goodwin.

Patrick looked at Professor Vindictus with interest. He was glad he'd come now. After being sick and being bombarded with the news of animals and students this seemed the best way to understand what was going on.

Amelia just listened to what some of the other students had to say on this matter. She really didn't know a whole lot, despite how much she wished she did. Then Vindictus seemed to completely deny that these strange characters were connected to the transformations at all! How could he know with such certainty that it wasn't as far fetched as it sounded?

"Professor? What if -" she couldn't remember his name but knew his house, "Ravenclaw boy here is right. What if these two characters are people to be concerned with? Wouldn't Hogsmeade be the perfect place to hide out upon given the security at Hogswarts? And candy - and object of many student's interests - would that not be prime for being spiked with something?"

"I think that everyone is over-reacting," Vindictus said after chewing and swallowing a bite of his meal. "The problems are happening inside the school and if everyone who bought candy from Honeydukes was transforming, then this entire school would be a zoo." He polished off his pasty and reached into his pocket, pulling out some chocolate from Honeydukes. "Care to watch me turn into a toad?" He waved the chocolate in front of everyone.

The sixth year sighed in frustration. This was worse than one of those 1000-piece jigsaw puzzles that muggles enjoy completing for fun. But Vindictus was right in some respect; it clearly can't be the candy from Honeydukes. But wait, Josh mentioned something about the candy in Pierce's office and that she seemed over-protective of it. Why would a Hogwarts Professor be giving candy to student that made them transform? Unless there was more to Pierce that she let on... she was the transfiguration professor, afterall.

"Right, well then Professor, you've got me puzzled," she responded, as he was about to eat the chocolate which he joked would turn him into a toad. She was not about to tell him about Josh's 'Pierce speculations' ... at least not there, with so many students around.

Josh looked at him as he then remembered alex's office... she was protective of the candy. some candy was safe and some wasnt... please let it be safe. Not that he would mind him turning into an animal..but really who wanted to be a toad. they were worthless animals. " professor.. i dont think thats a good idea." he told him. ari should stop him....

Willow turned from Juniper, to Amelia, that was saying that maybe the students transformations, were connected to Hogsmeade. That would be--bad. She loved going to Hogsmeade, even though her lasts visits had not been so cheerful. Although she had to admit that she would much rather not visiting Hogsmeade anymore, than to turn into an animal.

That was for sure.

Vindictus however, seemed to disagree with Amelia. He was even going to eat a chocolate frog! That was scary. What if Amelia's theory turned out to be true, eh? What if he turned into an animal?! Well, she had to admit that it would be funny. Scary as well of course, but still funny.

The second year had to give some credit to the man though, he was being brave (or very foolish) for daring to eat that chocolate frog.

Inpolite? Anti-nature girl was calling Juniper inpolite? She clasped her hands behind her back and smiled sweetly at the second year.

“I’m sorry, Ko – Willow,” Juniper said. She had been about to call anti-nature girl by her last name, but figured Kovac would find that rude as well. Not that Kovac had any notion what really was rude and what was acceptable. For example, frowning. Juniper could have been frowning at anything.

Juniper’s forehead crinkled in worry. “Someone will find them,” she said, more to assure herself than to comfort Willow. “With all of these people looking, they’ll turn up sooner or later.” Hopefully sooner, rather than later.

When Professor Vindictus showed the chocolate he was about to eat, Juniper shuddered. Chocolate. Gross. But then, what if it really was candy that turned people into animals? It would not have to be every piece of candy spiked with something…

“Professor, couldn’t it be only some of the candy that is to be blamed?” Juniper suggested, barely loud enough to be heard. “Not every piece of candy would have to be spiked with whatever it was. Someone could have easily put something in a handful of candy, keeping the rest of the candy safe. I mean, if every candy turned people into animals, it would be more obvious what had caused it. Right?”

"You're all acting foolish," Vindictus said as he unwrapped the chocolate. "Instead of a toad, perhaps I'll turn into a goat. Anyone care to watch?" He took a bite. Nothing happened . . . yet. "It tastes normal. I'm telling you that the candy is harmless - how many of you have helped yourselves to the sweets in my office? It all comes from Honeydukes."

Josh watched him eat a candy... There went yet another teacher to the candy. This man was a bit foolish.Oh well. He would be proving a point either way." a goat...?" he asked the professor. he chuckled as he thought about the shampoo."Maybe fabain will let you use his shampoo professor." he chuckled." he might put you with fex. You will have new best friend." he teased.

Savannah stood quiet, shifting abit and nearly nudged Sam by pure accident. Although the Professor was probably right, since he hadn't changed any or had any funny side-effects from the candy she still wasn't sure if giving up the candy idea just yet was smart but held her tongue, she wouldn't disagree, she didn't want to sound disrespectful.

After a moment, she decided thinking outloud wouldn't be so bad. If she was wrong, she was wrong, but atleast it was a suggestion. "Each of the missing kids must have something in common, shouldn't they? is it possible they might have been hand-picked by..whoever or whatever's behind it all?" Savannah asked, "I mean rather then each 'falling into the trap' so to speak?"

Lyra snickered at Vindictus and his goat wishing thoughts. She knew that either she or Josh would chime in with something about Fex's shampoo. "Yes, do be careful what you wish for! Fex bites." She wondered if her uncle was anywhere in the room at the time but clearly knew that he was not or she would have heard his voice as well.

Jessica listened to what Savannah was saying. It made sense, but it was quite difficult to find evidence regarding who did this. Jessica looked at everyone there, trying to come up with ideas.

After her discussion with Tia, Rhiannon had silently watched everyone say what they knew. She would have been able to verify Amelia's story about Dresden, but Vindictus seemed to accept that something had gone on at least. And most of the others who had disappeared, she hadn't known. She heard someone mention Ariana, the only one she had known, then someone else who had been wearing sunglasses last time they were seen, and suddenly she had a flash from class the last time Ariana had been seen.

She was wearing sunglasses in class that day. And she had been itching her arms. I asked her what was wrong, and then she blew it off, saying that she thought it was just a rash or something. Maybe it was a first symptom of transformation. I think Dresden had been itching in Potions, too. She stepped out of her thoughts to see that Vindictus had eaten a chocolate. She hoped he was right, and the candy wasn't the culprit. She didn't think they needed any other professors disappearing. But she started watching the professor closely, anyway.

josh heard a familiar voice he knew. He turned to see lyra standing near by..when did she get here. He hadnt noticed. he chuckled as he heard that fex bites. he smiled at zero as he then nodded at him, excusing himself from their conversation. he walked over to lyra as he said," im sure you would know. stealing the shampoo." he teased her."when did you get here... i didnt see you."

Lyra winked at Josh when he noticed her then she glanced over to where Zero stood. She nodded her head in acknowledgement as Josh walked over to where she stood. "You know that shampoo was the best, but really not as good as the test afterwards. Now that was fun." She giggled for a moment and proceeded to answer her arrival question. "I snuck in for a change. You never know where I might be...I'm a spy like that ya know." She hadn't seen him since the lake incident when he received the upsetting letter and walked off.

he chuckled as she talked about the shampoo test. he moved to kiss her head as he told her." yeah.. you forgot about fabain.That part of the test i didnt care for so much." he listened to her about spies." you were always good at it. sneaking into my office." he told her as he then leaned against the wall as he looked at the professor." you know we are all here to fly and look for the other students. Did you find anything out about the missing students?" he was curious to see if she had found anything else out.

Lyra rolled her eyes as Josh talked of Fabian walking in on her experiment, but was smiling on the inside from his public affections. "Yeah, that wasn't so wonderful. It was like having your hand caught in the cookie jar, except for my cookie jar..." -sly grin- "was your hair." She snickered lightly watching him move to rest against the wall. She leaned in closer to whisper softly "I like sneaking into your office. Helps me perfect my spy abilities. Ms. Trouble has to have something to do to keep herself occupied."

As he changed the subject to what brought them here in the first place, she realized that she was entirely too busy with things happening around her to notice. "All I know is what Rhiannon told us that day in the hallway," her eyes shifted to his again, remembering the Ravenclaw girl's story in between Josh and Lyra's flirting. "No one has heard anything else since."

" I think cookie jars would be better. They actually give out sweets. Though im sure those sweets would be animal free when you ate them. I hope so at least." that would be bad. go for a cookie and in return.. well you get to be a goat. as the professor was pointing out.. he was waiting for him to turn into a goat. He smiled as she started to talk about the room of requirements.. it was his favorite. he put an arm around her as he looked at her." well you know.. i could help with that. Not to mention you wouldnt have to stalk people." he teased her about stalking.

"Bugger." he said as he was hoping for some more information to maul over. He had found out more information, but nothing to valuable. Well zero's thoughts on the people was interesting. he wondered if next time he went to hogsmeade he could find those people. if anything happened to him, well you would know who it was." are you going to fly with us?"

She giggled once more at Josh and his reactions at the moment. He was her number one flirt of all times and she enjoyed every minute of it. Her eyes began to shift back and forth from Vindictus to Josh, keeping clear of the corner across the room that held Christian. She had not planned on him being here and therefore was not ready to speak as of yet.

"Ummm, yeah, I might," she answered about flying but was still not sure at the moment. She was here to help and whatever help she could provide was good enough for her. "Do you think they will have some on the grounds as well? I mean, I heard someone state something about it earlier and it does make sense. You can't see all animals from a flying broom."

"its possible...i think the professor is more thinking about flying though. i suggested it to him, but he told me i could fly as low to the ground as i wanted. Im sure you could do what you wanted. So i will fly low to the ground.. i really think the forest is a good place to hide. I wouldnt be surprised if their was some in there." he told her honestly.

Cora frowned at Christian. "Everything...okay?" She asked, a slightly amused look appearing on her face. This look, however, vanished as the professor started to talk. She gripped the handle of her broom tightly.

"Um...sir, Professor?" She called amoungst the rabble. "Well...I went to Professor Dresden's office and there was a big...crowd outside. I stood beside Whende, a Gryffindor, and she explained that nobody was being let in. A few minutes later...Professor Dresden came out being escorted. He looked...strange." She was almost confirming Marco's statement.

Her eye twitched for a moment. "I have to say that I do know how to fly a broom, I'm just...out of practice at the moment," she whispered to him, out of the ears of the surrounding little earlobs around her. "It just depends on how much my nerves can handle it." She remembered that 'someone' promised a certain neices uncle that they would teach her flying lessons

Tia listened to what the other students were saying and thought hmm the problem could be in the school cause she hadnt yet met the transfiguaration professor but she sounded as though she had something to do with the dissaperances of the students
