In the very deepest dungeon of Hogwarts there are strange smells and sounds. There is also the office of the resident Potions Master, Adam Dresden.

The Door to his office is closed, a note tacked onto the dark wood.

When had a plate of cookies in one hand. As well as a jug once filled with apple juice. Now it was filled with something... soapy, reddish, and runny. The jug was hanging from one hand, bumping against her knee as she walked. She was balancing her potions book along with the baked goods.

Once again, a nice little fan club had grouped around outside his office. "Someone knocked, right?" You could never be too sure.

Rhiannon laughed as the boy agreed with her, and then introduced himself. "No, I don't think we have met before. Rhiannon. Rhiannon Todd, sixth year. Amelia calls me Rhian." She couldn't help but imitate his way of introducing himself.

She had seen the other girl show up with the baked goods. Curiously looking at the items she was carrying, she adds to Ryan's answer. "I think Amelia knocked. But it was before I got here, so I can't be sure." She wasn't about to ask what the food and everything was for. The girl looked to be older than her, and she didn't want to be rude.

Amelia sighed when yet another student approached the office door; this one carrying cookies and juice? She shrugged, stifling a laugh about the silly things that students bring to professors. Being that she was the first to arrive at Dresden's office, she realized no one else would have knocked because they all assumed she did. "Of course, first thing when I arrived. Not sure what the delay is because he definitely entered the office, just prior to my arrival. Unless --" she stopped short, thinking of the worst.

Amelia giggled at the boy's sudden outburst. "Why yes, I am the Hufflepuff Prefect. It's nice to meet you too," she said, sticking her tongue out.

"Oh but the hot rod does sound more... exciting," she said, giggling. "Just so long as I'm not the person who it gets used on."

"Ryan, yes ... the name sounds familiar. Did you play quidditch last term?" she asked curiously, before holding out her hand. "Amelia. Amelia Rose, Sixth Year."

Amelia laughed again, as Rhiannon told Ryan that she called her Rhian. It was true, but it was funny. Besides, the nickname Rhian was just so... amazing. She nodded at her friend, when she assumed correctly about her knocking.

"K," Whende said with a nod. The hand holding the jug was starting to sweat. She tried to resituate it. It wasn't working too well. Sigh. "Prefect, huh?" she said, grinning.

And she didn't know her at all? Where'd she been? And all this time she'd thought of herself as rather socially active. But all the students there - and they were all clearly older students - were all complete strangers to her. "So have you been waiting long?"

A loud roar echoed from the office and the door remained closed.

Ryan chuckled nervously. Was this girl sadistic? Did she enjoy causing people pain with hot steel rods? He shuddered involuntarily at the thought. "That's....interesting..." was all he could really say to prevent himself from calling her weird.

But thank goodness she changed the topic to quidditch. "Yes, I played seeker on the Ravenclaw house team last term. It was a blast! You were a chaser last term, correct?" Quidditch was his favorite. He could talk about it for hours.

"Pleased to meet you, Amelia," he said, shaking her hand. Even if she was weird and sadistic, Ryan liked meeting new people.

Rhiannon had heard the roar as well, and looked at the three other students waiting with her. Only half-joking, she says, "Anyone else thinking that has something to do with why we're all here? I mean, how many of you are here because of how strange the professor was acting in class earlier? I know both me and Amelia are." She helps Ryan regain his balance.

Alex finally had found the dungeons, it had been years since she'd wandered down to this part of the castle it was no wonder she'd gotten lost. Looking at the door she glanced down at her hands, the blood had almost soaked the bandages and it made knocking quite impossible. Giving the students gathered around the door a weak smile she went up to the door and gently kicked it three times with her foot, "Excuse me, Professor... Dresden is it? I'm Alex Pierce the Transfiguration Professor," she began, looking at the door for confirmation of his name, "May I please come in, I'm in need of a potion and at the moment I cant brew it myself. And if you could open the door for me that would be wonderful, my hands are out of comission and the last thing I want to do is get blood all over your nice door." she said hoping to get the seriousness of the situation across.

Rhiannon's eyes widened as Professor Pierce came over with bloody hands. "Um, we think Profesor Dresden's not doing very well. He was acting strange in class, and not that long ago we heard a loud roar come from inside his office, where we know he went after he left class." After she finished her explanation, she succumbed to her curiousity about the other professor's injury. "I don't mean to pry, Professor, but what happened? Why are you bleeding?"

"Heroicly rescuing a girl from a cursed necklace." Alex said with a playful smile, "More like being to stupid to try and curse it off and grabbing it with my hands." she added with a laugh at her own stupidity.

"A roar you say?" she said in response to the girls description of Dresden. "Hm... I think I should investigate then." she added with an strange smirk. Gently grabbing on to the door knob with a grimace, Alex opened the door just enough to slip in. She took her wand out of her pocket and held it out in front of her, sure it hurt, but she may need to do some spell work.

Entering the dark office, she looked around for Dresden, "Professor Dresden... where are youuu." she said softly in a musical voice, almost as if she was talking to her cat Spanky.

Rhiannon was surprised when Professor Pierce essentially broke into Professor Dresden's office. She looked around at Ryan, Amelia and the third girl, who she didn't know the name of. Then she looked back at the door to the office, almost expecting to hear more noises coming from inside and wondering if it was the last time she was ever going to see her Transfiguration professor.

When had her mouth open to say something. What it might have been was shoved to the back of her mind as she jumped, scattering cookied all over the floor. The jug thudded onto the ground. Good thing it was plastic. But, clearly, whatever was up with Dresden, it was probably NOT some freaky plague.

As she was scrambling across the floor to pick up the now broken, pretty much useless cookies, she glanced up to find they'd been joined by that new Transfiguration professor. Well well well, what a party. She abandoned the cookies, waiting as she opened the door. Well, apparently professors didn't have to knock.

Then she realized she wasn't breathing and forced herself to drag in air.

Amelia nearly jumped back at the sound of the roar from within the office. One hand on her chest, she caught herself off guard as she regained her breath. That was weird, she thought, looking around at her fellow students and noting their response was quite similar.

She was still speechless when Ryan asked her about playing Chaser last term, but all the sixth year could do was nod in agreement.

The Prefect was thankful though when the new Transfiguration Professor strolled toward them; hopefully to help them. Though much to her dismay, all Professor Pierce did was completely ditch them and slid into Dresden's office unnoticed. Hmm, why didn't she think of trying the handle? She looked shiftily around at her peers, before making a quick decision. The sixth year badger placed her hand on the handle, and slowly turned it, opening it enough for her to slip in and then shut it behind her.

Wand out, she looked around in the dark room for some sign of the Professors. "Professor Dresden? You there?" she called, nervously.

Rhiannon's eyes widened even further as Amelia followed the Professor inside the office. Thinking quickly, she decides to follow the Huffie. Hopefully we won't get attacked. She glances apologetically at the other two students before silently opening the door and slipping inside, shutting it behind her. Directly in front of her, she hears Amelia call out for Professor Dresden, and she lightly touches the girl's shoulder.

Well, fine, if they were all going to join the party, she wasn't about to be left behind. She shoved her jug into a shadow in the corridor so it quite hopefully would not be disturbed, stood up, dusted off her knees.

She slid inside, her hand on her wand as the door clicked shut. When didn't really believe that Dresden was about to EAT her or something. But... "It's... dark," she muttered. My, my, aren't we intelligent today?

I'll just go in, and stay by the door, if they need help I'll run and get the headmistress.

She opens the door and steps in, closing it behind her.

Alexandra, heard the noise and wanted to be sure the purrrfesor was okay.
Its hard to knock on the door when your this close to the ground, maybe if I scratch at the door , he'll hear me.. Purrfessor are you okay ?

Alex looked behind her at the children now slipping in the room. She sighed, "Kids." she whispered, "Theres a reason I shut the door behind me. Its one thing for a collegue to go in, but having students sneaking into a professor's office isnt exactly a good situation. Would you mind waiting outside for a moment? I doubt anything is wrong, but in case there is, I'd like to not have to worry about more people than I need to." she finished softly. Not only did she want to not have to worry about the students, but she had business with Dresden she rather the kids weren't involved in.

Amelia frowned when she heard Professor Pierce's voice, and how she called her a kid! She was not a kid, but nearly of age... and a prefect at that. "I'm not a ki-.." the sixth year started, but then it occurred to her that as a Prefect, she was meant to set an example for the younger students which included not sneaking into a Professor's office. She took a deep breath, and as much as she wanted to know what was wrong, nodded in the dark toward the Transfiguration Professor. "Sorry Professor, I'll escort them all out of here and keep watch on the door to make sure no one enters." Not that the Professor could see, but her face was flushed and she looked very apologetic.

She then turned around and looked at the three... no four students who entered behind her. "Alright, everyone out," she said seriously as she made to gather the two young students, as well as Rhiannon and Whende out of the room.

Whende supressed a sigh as she turned and put her weight against the door, turning the handle after she was already leaning on it. She turned back on her way out. "Keep a detailed account. I wanna hear all about it," she teased. Though, honestly, she was pretty serious.

Once they were back into the hall, she grinned slightly. "Yes, you're not a kid." It wasn't really as though she was a kid either. Her 18 birthday was in a few months! But... whatcha gonna do? Teachers were hired to boss "kids" around.

Rhiannon sighed as she followed the Gryffindor out. She hoped Amelia was behind her. She hadn't meant for so many people to follow her, she just didn't want Amelia to be by herself in there. Safety in numbers, after all. Besides, if I wasn't killed when I was four, either I was too strong, or not worth it. And I'd like to think it was the former, she thought.

"I'm not that far off from being considered an adult," she said to no one in particular as she leaned against a wall near the office door. "And I'm not going to abandon people that I like to an uncertain fate. I stand by my friends, and if I think a professor is cool, I'm not going to let who knows what happen to them either."
