Chapter 1:The Dream

It's Harry's first day back at Hogwarts and he's tired from the trip. After Harry gets settled in, he quickly falls asleep. Soon after falling asleep Harry awakens from a dream very confused. In his dream he and Hermione had gone out on a date and were very into one another. At the end of the date, they kissed. I'm not talkin just a regular kiss, I'm talkin' knocked outta the ball park type kiss. There was pure magic. Electricity even.

"Whoa, what was that about?" Harry whispered over Ron's snores. People say that we dream about our deepest desires and secrets. Can Harry be secretly in love with Hermione and not know it?

The next day...
"Hey Ron, you ever had a really weird dream that freaked you out?" Asked Harry trying to be casual.

"Um, no. Not really. Why are you asking Harry?" replied Ron curiously.

"Oh no reason. Just curious I guess," said Harry nervously.

"Hey guys," said Hermione.

"Hey Hermione," Harry and Ron said together.

"Harry, you're blushing. Are you ok?" asked Hermione.

"Ah yeah. Just a little hot I guess," said Harry continuing to blush.

"Ok. I'll see you guys later. I have to meet someone." said Hermione excitedly.

"Who?" Ron demanded.

"It's none of you're concern. Bye." Hermione rushed out to meet whoever she was meeting.

"I wonder who she's meeting," Ron said curiously.

"Me too," replied Harry.

Later that evening Hermione returned to the common room with a glow about her. Harry had never noticed how beautiful she was.

"You look different, what happened?" Harry asked.

"Oh, I was just hanging out with this guy I met." Hermione said smiling.

"For seven hours?" asked Harry with a puzzled expression on his face.

"Oh, was it that long? I guess it's true what they say, time flies when you're having fun. Well good night," Hermione said continuing to smile about her wonderful day.

"Good night."

While everyone had gone off to bed, Harry remained in the common room thinking.

In Harry's Mind
What could that dream have possibily meant? Why would I dream about Hermione? Who's this guy she saw today? Man, if Hermione kisses in real life like she kissed in my dream, I wouldn't mind dreaming about her more often. Whoa, what are you thinking? It's Hermione you idiot. Remember your friend, who happens to be really attractive. It's not that weird that I find Hermione attractive is it? She is, and smart, passionate. I love the way she studies. Snap out of it you fool. It's Hermione. I wonder if she finds me attractive. After Harry thought to himself for hours, he finally dozed off still in the common room.

Chapter 48:In Wormtail We Trust??

“By now Tom should be quite confident in his victory believing I’m dead.” Said Dumbledore to Professor McGonagall. “Are you certain faking your own death is advisable Albus?” Asked Professor McGonagall. “It is the only way I can be certain to lower Voldemort’s defenses just enough so we can penetrate them.” He replied. “I know only the students believe your dead. That way it looks more believable. But are you sure you can trust the Ministry to help us.” Asked McGonagall with a worried expression on her old face. “Yes, I am sure. They are just as sick and tired as we are of living in constant fear of another attack and more people dying.” He answered. “And Pettigrew?” She asked. “You forget that I can tell when people are lying to me. Pettigrew was telling the truth when he said that he wants this all to end once and for all, and that he owes James and Lily. Now we just have to wait for word from him. It shouldn’t be long now.” Dumbledore replied. “I trust you Albus. I always have. If you truly believe this will work, then I will support you wholeheartedly.” She said as she strode over to gaze at the blazing fire. They were waiting to get word from Wormtail that Voldemort was coming. But could he be trusted to deliver and not betray them all again?

Chapter 49:Forgiveness And Death

Voldemort had gotten his hands on the latest Daily Prophet. The cover showed a freshly dug grave with the headline “A Fallen Hero”. He smiled a scary, disturbing smile. Everything was falling into place. He truly believed that Dumbledore was dead. It was 11 o’clock. Voldemort was going to strike at midnight. Wormtail was running out of time. He had no chance to warn Dumbledore and the others about Voldemort’s attack. It was as if Voldemort knew of Wormtail’s betrayal before Wormtail even committed the act. He was constantly watching Wormtail. Surveying him for any signs of weakness. Wormtail grew more nervous and anxious by the minute. If he didn’t warn Harry and the others, he would be breaking his promise. It was bad enough that for 15 years he had felt enormous guilt over betraying his best friend, but the idea of not making it right was almost too much to bare. The red gleamed in Voldemort’s eyes as it became half past 11. Harry was ready and waiting. He had been ready since the day he found out what truly happened to his parents. “Wormtail!” Peter turned around startled. “Yes… master?” He answered. “Where is your head at? He shall finally be killed once and for all and it seems your mind is elsewhere. GO NOW! Leave my sight. If you can’t think about our victory so close at hand instead of your stupid stomach which I heard grumble, then you’re no use to me. NOW GO!”

He screamed while Wormtail could have sworn he saw steam come out of his ears. Wormtail quickly rushed out of there at the thought of being killed from behind. This was it. The only chance he had. He tried not to look suspicious as he past two death eaters. Wormtail went as far away from Voldemort and the others as possible. He found a fireplace and quickly dug the Floo Powder out of his pocket and threw it and watched as the green flames appeared out of thin air. He put his head through them and immediately saw Dumbledore’s old face. “Peter, about time. What took you so long?” He asked. “He kept watching me. Look, he is planning to attack at midnight. We are exactly where you thought we’d be Dumbledore. Now hurry and let’s finish this already.” Peter urged. Dumbledore was surprisingly proud of Pettigrew right then and there. He knew how anxious and terrified Peter must be. And after all, he actually kept his promise to Harry. “Thank you Peter. Not worry, we shall be there shortly.” And then he closed down the channel. “Inform the others. I’ll warn Harry.” He ordered.

She left quickly and left Dumbledore alone. He concentrated very hard and he informed Harry. Harry was nervous enough without having to experience this unusual mind communication thing. “Harry, stay exactly where you are. Don’t continue until we get there. I read Tom like a book. He is exactly where we believed. Now, be ready. This is it my boy.” And in the blink of an eye Dumbledore, the Order of the Phoenix, and the Ministry Of Magic had just apparated there. Even though Voldemort had great numbers at his command, so did Harry. But there was a difference, everyone had more determination and will to finally rid the world of this evil. Harry couldn’t help but smirk seeing this many people on his side. “Thank you for not letting Hermione and the others come. This will be a lot easier knowing there all safe at the castle.” Harry said. “No thank you Harry. For you are far more braver than I ever could be.” He replied. Dumbledore didn’t need an invisibility cloak to make himself invisible. He just did in front of Harry to create an even more element of surprise. “Everyone ready?” Harry asked everyone, which was too many to name. They all nodded and had their wands at the ready.

Then they descended and were feet away from the death eaters. The death eaters saw them approaching and in instant the place erupted with flashes of bright light as a million spells and jinxes flew everywhere. The only things that could be heard were shouts of spells, screams of pain, and sometimes the thud of a body falling to the ground dead. Harry made his way through trying to find Voldemort who was being cowardly and letting everyone fight his battle for him as he stood back and watched. Harry was keeping his own against all the dark magic and very skilled witches and wizards. Since it seemed like the world was going to end with Voldemort at power and causing so much destruction, The Ministry of Magic allowed Harry to practice and improve his magic when he was away from school.

At last Harry found him. In the shadows nonetheless. Harry suddenly felt exhilarated. It was as though he had an angel looking after him. Even in the shadows, Voldemort’s eyes burned red and could be seen miles away. He was boiling mad as he watched as his precious death eaters fell one by one. His army was losing to the forces of good. How that burned him, maybe even tormented him. Then he noticed Harry and quickly became thrilled. “Ah, the famous Harry Potter has come to finish me off has he?” Voldemort mocked. “Yes. After tonight you will never kill another innocent person again.” Harry replied. “Shall we.” Voldemort said as he actually bowed before the duel. They began what would go down in history as the biggest fight in the world. “I’m impressed Harry. You seem to have improved. Now I finally have a worthy opponent.” Voldemort sneered.

“Didn’t do it to impress you. I did it to destroy you!” Harry yelled. The battle was intense. Both were such great wizards that neither had been able to touch the other. Voldemort was growing frustrated. They continued and suddenly a voice shouted “Accio Knife.” The knife flew out from under Harry’s cloak and directly hit the place where Voldemort’s heart should have been. It took only a second, but Voldemort got distracted from hearing a supposedly dead Dumbledore’s voice and the knife hit him. He was bleeding profusely. His snakelike face actually looked human, for it had the human emotion of terror and shock.

Dumbledore became visible again. When Voldemort saw him he dropped his wand. The only person he ever feared. Who was suppose to be dead and gone, stood there alive and well. “Sorry Tom, but I wouldn’t have missed this for the world.” Dumbledore said. Then both Harry and Dumbledore performed the killing curse. Voldemort screamed Noooooo! And the curses hit its target and Voldemort was dead. Finally, once and for all Lord Voldemort was dead. Harry hugged the man who had taken him under his wing. It was all over. The battle was finally won. There were more losses on the bad side, then on the good. Only three Ministry people had died. Miraculously the helpless Peter Pettigrew survived. With Voldemort gone, the weight of the world fell off Harry’s shoulders. Suddenly everything became clear to him. Harry’s parents wouldn’t have wanted him to keep hate in his heart for Peter. They would have wanted him to forgive him. “I’m glad you’re still alive Peter. I appreciate you keeping your word. And I just wanted to say… I forgive you.” Harry finished feeling a lot better. Peter couldn’t believe what he had just heard. He felt so relieved and humbled. “Thank… you.” Was all he could say.

Chapter 50:Victory

Harry and the others returned to Hogwarts victorious. The whole time they were gone, Harry’s friends were a wreck not knowing if he were dead or alive. Hermione had cried three days straight. She knew she loved him, but when he was gone it dawned on her how much. She would have done anything for him. She would have faced Voldemort herself if it meant Harry world be safe and she would die for him. All was silent in the common room with the exception of the crackling of the fire. Ron and Draco kept looking towards the portrait hole hoping and praying that it would finally swing open. Hermione was tired and just kept quiet and Ginny watched her nervously hoping she would be alright. A few minutes passed and then all of sudden, the portrait hole swung open and a bruised Harry Potter emerged from it. Everyone looked up surprised and Harry was attacked with a thousand hugs. “Thank God you’re still alive mate. Didn’t know what I would do without my best mate.” Ron said. “Good to have you back Potter.” Draco smirked. Ginny gave Harry a hug that showed how strong she was for such a small person. Hermione was speechless for awhile, but you know Hermione, she can’t keep her mouth shut for long. “You made it. You came back to me.” She said as tears started to form in her eyes. Harry couldn’t help but start to cry himself because it meant so much to be able to see the love of his life again and know he had the rest of his life with her. “Of course I came back to you. I love you.” He said. They hugged and kissed and didn’t care who saw them. When they settled down, Harry told them everything that had happened. They were amazed but didn’t expect anything less from the famous Harry Potter. After a few days, the world was truly a changed place. There was an ease about it. People felt so free knowing that Voldemort was finally gone for good. After awhile muggles and wizards lived together in harmony. The school year finished on the best note possible, the death of Voldemort. The summer soon followed with many great events planned ahead.

Chapter 51:Leap Of Faith

The summer weather was absolutely perfect, not too warm but not too hot. Harry was of course staying at the Weasleys for the summer. Hermione and Draco were frequent visitors. Harry knew that Hermione was coming over today, so he wanted to get a head start before she arrived. He snuck out of the room without disturbing anyone. It was 5 in the morning and Harry made his way outside. He breathed in the fresh summer air, thankful that he was still alive to see another brilliant sunrise. Harry couldn’t help but keep smiling to himself. Today was going to be a good day. He arrived at his destination at 5:30 am. He was greeted by a yawning store owner by the name of Sam. “Thanks for doing this. I know you’re not a morning person.” Harry said. “Quite alright Mr. Potter. After what you’ve done, anything for you sir.” Sam replied. “Has he come yet?” Harry asked. “Not yet sir, but like myself he’s not a morning person. I expect he shall be here soon.” Sam said as another wide yawn surfaced. Tap, tap, tap. They both turned to see the source of the noise. “There he is.” Harry said. “Good morning Mr. Malfoy.” Sam said. “Hey guys, sorry I’m late.” Draco replied checking his watch. Sam laughed. “Late, yeah right. It’s quite early sir. Believe me, I would be sleeping in bed right now having sweet dreams, but like I told Mr. Potter, anything for him. Harry smirked and said “again thank you very much for this.” “Shall we get started?” Sam questioned. They both nodded. Within a few minutes, Harry shouted “I found it!”. Draco rushed over to see it for himself. “It’s beautiful. Good choice.” Draco announced. “I want this one Sam.” Harry told him. “A very fine choice indeed Sir. Here you are.” Sam said as he handed Harry the box. Harry handed Sam a bag full of gold in return. “Well I guess it’s my turn now.” Draco said as he started walking around the store some more. Then he suddenly stopped, he was speechless. Harry went over and couldn’t say anything himself for a moment. “Oh wow. That’s it. It’s perfect for her.” Harry said. “It is isn’t it? Yeah, that’s the one alright. Ok Sam, I’ll take it.” Draco replied handing over his money too. “I must say you two gentlemen have exquisite taste. They’ll love them. Good luck boys.” Sam said. “You’re a life saver Sam.” Harry replied. “I think you’re mistaken Mr. Potter, it is you who are the life saver.” Sam smiled. Harry smiled back and said “now go back to bed Sam. Take care.”

“We’re really doing this. Oh I can’t stand the wait, can you?” Draco asked him. “Not really, but just thinking about the outcome makes the wait worth it.” He replied. “It’s still really early, I was thinking about making Ginny breakfast in bed.” Draco said. “That’s a brilliant idea. Go for it. I was thinking about a picnic under the apple tree, surrounded by nice flowers. Then do it there. What do you think?” Harry asked excited. Draco smirked. “I think I’m wishing I would have thought of that first.” Harry gave Draco a playful push. “Today is truly going to change everything. You ready for this?” Harry asked seriously. “Believe it or not, I’ve been waiting for this day for awhile now.” Draco answered. They arrived back at the Burrow in good time. Everyone was still fast asleep. “Well I’m going to start that breakfast.” Draco said. “Hermione should be getting here soon, I’m going to get everything ready.” Harry replied. He went back outside and walked and walked until he found that perfect spot for the picnic. He set everything up. Conjured the blanket, picnic basket with good food, etc. He even tidied up the flowers so they looked even more beautiful. He figured some animals may not be able to resist the smell of the food so he set up a protective spell over the tree and picnic. His work for now was done so he returned back to the house. “Just finished and with perfect timing because I hear movement upstairs.” Draco told Harry as he entered the kitchen. “Good luck.” “Thanks.”

On his way to Ginny’s room, Draco passed Mr. Weasley and they both nodded to each other. Nobody knew that Draco had secretly talked to Mr. Weasley and had gotten his blessing. Draco knocked quietly on the door before entering it. Ginny was still asleep, she was so stunning that she looked like Sleeping Beauty. Draco was nervous but determined. He placed the breakfast on her bedside table and sat next to her on the bed. He gently touched her soft check, and brushed her hair with his fingers. Then he like the Prince in Snow White kissed his Sleeping Beauty. Ginny awoke and embraced Draco in a warm hug. “Good morning beautiful.” He said. “Hi. I thought you were coming later.” Ginny said. “I wanted to surprise you.” He replied. “What a wonderful surprise it is.” She said. “Here you go. I hope you like it. Oh and these are for you too.” He said as he gave her the delectable breakfast and flowers. “Wow, full of surprises aren’t you? Thank you. Oh it tastes delicious.” Draco watched her eat and was happy she liked his cooking.

“I love you Gin.” He said. “I love you too.” She said as she was admiring her flowers. “Before I met you I was someone I didn’t like. You changed me for the better. You made me see that there were good things in life. Things worth living for. You made me see that I am someone worth loving. You cared enough to give me a chance when for everything I had done in the past, I didn’t deserve it. You have made my life truly wonderful. I want to spend the rest of my life making you as happy as you’ve made me.” He said with love in his eyes. Ginny was shocked. “What are you saying?” She asked not believing what she was hearing. Draco then got on one knee and it was clear to her. “Ginny Weasley, will you marry me?” He asked exposing one of the most gorgeous rings. Ginny looked from the ring to Draco and jumped on him making him fall to the floor and her being on top of him. “Yes, I’ll marry you.” Then she gave him a spectacular kiss. As much as Draco didn’t want to, he pulled her off of him. “They’ll be plenty of time for that later. So we’re engaged?” He asked seriously. Ginny’s face lit up and she couldn’t stop smiling. “Yeah, we are.” Draco placed the ring gently on her finger and he watched her admire it for a minute or so. “What about my parents?” Ginny asked concerned. “I got their blessing already.” He replied. “How long have you been planning this?” She asked him. “Since the day I realized I loved you.” He answered. “Awww, you’re so sweet. I love you so much.” Once again they showed their affections for one another and then decided to tell everyone the good news.

Chapter 52:Truly Meant To Be

Harry checked the time and knew Hermione was due at the house any minute now. He was so nervous, his knees kept shaking whenever he was standing. Popping the question was more nerve-racking than his first Quiddtich match and even his fight with Voldemort. He decided he couldn’t stand around waiting in the house anymore. So Harry left and waited for Hermione outside. Finally, she arrived. “Hey Harry.” She said excitedly. “Hi. How are you?” Harry asked her. “I’m good thanks. I’ve just been having the most wonderful couple of days.” She replied. “That’s great.” He said. Harry took whatever belongings she had brought with her and quickly put them in the house. “Let’s get out of here. I want you all to myself.” Harry said as he took hold of her hand and led her to the spot with the romantic picnic. “Ok.” She said as she let him led her away. They arrived and Hermione couldn’t believe her eyes. “Oh Harry, you’re too sweet. It’s beautiful.” She said as she gave him a lovely kiss. “Only the best for you.” He replied. They sat down around the brilliant atmosphere and enjoyed a wonderful meal, while holding hands and cuddling. “Hermione, I have something I want to tell you.” Harry said seriously. “Sure. What is it?” Hermione asked curiously. “Ever since the first day I met you, that day on the train, I thought there was something special about you. As we became friends we always had each other’s back. We have been through so much together. When I started to like you and then fall in love with you, I knew that I wanted to spend the rest of my life with you. All the stuff we’ve been through this year, has showed me that we can get through anything as long as we have each other. You know I love you with all my heart and soul. You’re everything to me… Then Harry pulled out the gorgeous ring he had brought earlier and asked, Will you marry me Hermione Granger?” Harry finished hoping with all his heart that he would hear the answer he was hoping for. “Oh my God. Harry that was beautiful. I can’t believe it. Well of course I love you too.” She said. Then she put on the most wonderful smile on her face. “I will happily marry you Harry James Potter.” She said. “Yes! This is the best day of my life. Oh Hermione we’re going to be so happy together.” Harry said with so much joy on his face. Then he placed the ring on her finger and they kissed and hugged for it seemed like forever.
