Thanks Jenn! I don't think that was the saddest chapter I have ever written but I admit it was really sad. I made Draco's life misrebale which I kinda regret because I loooove him!

I had to end this ff. I thought it was the perfect time to end it and I usually end a story after a big scene of action.

Chapter 20: ~ The End ~

The sun was setting over the dark grounds signaling the end of another day. The moon, full tonight, illuminated the grounds through the heavy layer of darkness as the stars sparkled in the sky.

Hermione Granger was staring out of the Gryffindor tower window with tears streaming down her thin cheeks and onto her clothes. She looked away and walked down the stairs. When she got to the common room, all was quiet. Everyone’s eyes were all directed on her. She was knows as the muggle born who went out with a pureblood who was a Death Eater.

Slowly they all made their way out of the common room and down to Hogsmade. Ginny walked supportably beside Hermione with her arm around her Hermione’s shoulders. They were both crying silently, trying to avoid all the staring.

They walked to the end of the village where rows and rows of chairs were waiting for them to be occupied. Slowly they began to fill up with Hogwarts students and some other people Hermione guessed that were from the Ministry or something.

Ginny led Hermione over to one of the empty rows and were soon joined by Harry, Ron, Neville, and Luna. When everyone was seated, Professor McGonagall signaled for quiet.

“We are gathered here today for the funeral of Draco Malfoy,” she began. Hermione tried to listen but fresh tears slid down her cheeks and she couldn’t hide her face.

“Draco Malfoy, known as a Death Eater was a hero to all of us,” she continued. “He betrayed his family and risked his own life. Last night a battle occurred between the Order of the Phoenix and the Death Eaters. Hermione Granger” -all eyes turned on Hermione- “was taken captive that evening and when Draco found out he contacted the Order of the Phoenix at once to try and save her. Why did he do it? He did it out of love.”

Hermione covered her face with her hands. Ginny took her hand in hers.

“In the early hours of the morning, he committed suicide.” she took a deep breath.

At this Hermione broke out into a sob and got up form her seat. She signaled to Ginny that she needed to be alone. She ran past the many rows of chairs out of the gate and around a corner. There she collapsed on the floor crying.

“Draco, Why?” she wailed. “Why did you have to go and leave me here alone?”

She remembered the emptiness in his gray eyes. They hadn’t had the usual stony grey in them. But they didn’t have a warm grey in them, either. It was like a ghost. No hope. No feelings. And no… love. She remembered when they were in that mysterious room. He had asked her to marry her and she had said…no. She had said she was too young.

But that didn’t matter anymore because Draco Malfoy was too young to die. But why had he done that? Why had he left Hermione lying on the ground crying over him?

“Draco, was I not good enough for you? Why did you leave me in this miserable world alone?” She looked up at the sky helplessly. “Draco!” she cried in agony. Her eyes were puffy and swollen and she could hardly see anything form the amount of tears.

“Please come back too me, I need you now more than ever!” She pounded on the ground with her fists.

But that emptiness in his eyes kept coming back to her. The boy she had always known as a pitiless, cold hearted, dark Death Eater, last night had stood before her and spilled out all of his feelings and secrets. He had tolled her.

She tolled him it would be alright and everything would work out between them and then a few hours later he had jumped out of the highest tower. Just like Dumbledore had. Hermione couldn’t understand why he had done it and without even saying good bye. Did he do it because he was ashamed that he betrayed his family and fell in love with a Mudblood?

Again, she thought back to the scene when he asked her to marry him. Did she tare his heart when she rejected him and said it had to wait? If only she had said yes maybe he would still be here and they would skip around the castle talking excitedly about they’re wedding.

Hermione felt water tapping on her neck. She lifted her head and saw it was raining. She looked at herself and realized she was covered in mud. She stood up and began to walk back when she suddenly stopped. She turned back and ran to a wall of a store. She began punching, hitting, and kicking the wall hysterically. She screamed and yelled as lightning flashed across the sky.

“I HATE MY LIFE! I WANT TO DIE!” she yelled over the thunder. Now she could barely see through all the tears but next thing she knew she felt an arm around her shoulder. She turned around and saw it was Harry who had come to make sure she was alright. She buried her head in his chest and cried as he rubbed her back soothingly.

“Harry, what am I going to do?” she sobbed.

“Did you love him?” he asked.

She didn’t have to think. She knew the answer as if she had known it since she was born. It was just so easy. He had been her first real love.

“Y-yes! But h-his eyes…”

“What about them?” he asked patiently.

“They were gone. Last night. They were empty. It was as if a ghost was inside him. He looked so miserable and I wanted to help him. I really did but I didn’t know how! His eyes weren’t the same cold grey as they always were; they were just plane grayish eyes. He looked hopeless and I should have tried harder. I thought it would take a couple weeks for him to get over it. At the beginning of the term, he told me never to run away. You have to face it. A person who runs away is considered a cowered. Draco said that to me. How could he have run away like that?”

Harry didn’t answer right away. He picked up Hermione’s head and brushed away her tears. Her face looked like an aged woman with those puffy eyes.

“Maybe he thought it was time to end his life and go on another adventure. After all, when you die, it’s just another exciting adventure.”

“Harry, I want to end my life too. I want to end it right now, this second.” Hermione looked into Harry’s eyes.

“You don’t mean that!” Harry said shaking his head.

“Yes, I do. I want to die.” Her eyes filled up with tears once more. She never thought she’d hear herself say those things before. She buried her head in Harry’s chest once more. “Please, Harry! I want to die! I don’t want to live anymore! I’ve had enough living in this world of hell and misery!” she yelled.

The rain had stopped completely now. Hermione still cried and Harry didn’t know what to do. Then suddenly, someone cried out.

“Harry, the Horcrux!” It was Ron. Hermione and Harry looked at him quizzically

“It almost put your bed on fire! Dean hurried down here and told me a trophy was blowing things up. Come on! Hurry up!”

At that second Ron, Harry and Hermione began running back to Hogwarts. Harry was explaining to Hermione about the Horcrux they had found and that it was supposed to be in Harry’s trunk.

Everything else was forgotten. All the worries and miseries were gone. All that was left was to bring down Lord Voldemort. Kill him and save the wizarding world once and for all. As the three ran up to the castle, Hermione knew that she would see Draco again. Maybe not now, or later but she knew he wasn’t gone for ever. She would still dream about him and he would always be in her heart no matter what she did. Draco Malfoy was a whole new love for her and that didn’t mean she wouldn’t fall in love again. That’s life; you have winnings and losses. Life is not easy; there will always be obstacles that you will need to get past.

It's not always rainbows and butterflies,
It's compromise that moves us along.

I relate to him because I really don't have much of a family either, my parents are divorced and I live with my dad at the moment. My mom lives in another state so I don't see her that often, my dad is only home during the weekends and even then we don't talk much, and my brother, well, I don't see nor talk to him often. And that is just my imediate family.
I have never liked History, I get really bored with it, and it is usually my second worse subject, next to English, which is surprising since I write my own stories too. I'm just weird about that. I hope you did great on your test.

I was surprised the whole time they were walking to the funeral. I was like, what did I miss something? And then after when she ran away from everyone I was hoping that Draco hadnt actually died. That he'd just made it look like he'd died so that he wouldnt be hunted down by the rest of the deatheaters.

It was a reallly good ending though. I especially like this part:

OK, Just to show you guys how much you've helped me improve my spelling and just about everything, here is the second chapter from my first fan fic, 'A War of Love':

Mia climbed on the train with her luggage and searched for an empty compartment, but with no luck she opened the last door where she found two bogs and a girl of about her age sitting there chatting. When they looked at her she asked if she could sit with them and the girl nodded then introduced herself.

"I'm Hermione Granger." she said. "This is Ron Weasley," she pointed to the red head, freckly boy. "And Harry Potter." A boy with Jet black hair, Green eyes and on his forehead was a lightning shaped scar.

Mia flinched and before she could stop herself, she asked "Harry potter? The boy who lived??" Hermione nodded.

Suddenly Mia realized she was behind kind of rude and immediately apologized.

Nobody spoke.

Hermione broke the silence. "so, Mia, What year are you entering?"

"I'm going into my seventh and final year. My family and I just moved to this country. I'm hoping to be in Ravenclaw, that’s where my great- Grandmother was. I'm really looking forward for DADA and Potions, they were always my favorite classes." Suddenly she was embarrassed, she'd talked to much.

The rest of the ride to Hogwarts passed mostly in silence.

They were nearing the school so the four changed into their school robes and when the train came to a stop, they made their way of the train, where there carriages and flying horsed waiting for them, forcing their way threw other students that were attending Hogwarts to.

Mia soon lost Harry, Ron and Hermoine threw the pack of students and found and empty carriage where she was soon joined by a group of slytherins. Amongst them was a cute boy with blond hair and was quite muscular.

The horses took of into the air, flying over the black lake towards the castle, invisible to any muggles eye.

The boy introduced himself. "Hi, I'm Draco, Draco Malfoy." "Mia." She replied.
"This," Draco said. "is Gregorio, Crabbe, Goyle and Parkinson." He pointed to three boys and a girl.

Mia nodded and said "Hi". But she couldn’t help notice something suspicious about Gregorio. He seemed mean, cruel, and it looked like he wished he was anywhere else but here. She pushed it to the back of her mind telling herself she'd think about it later. so instead she looked admiringly at the flying horses that were called thestralls, she had learnt about them in her previous year back in her old school.

During the ride, Mia noticed out of the corner of her eye that Draco was staring at her. She was worried. What if he liked her? She couldn't bear it to happen again. In her old school she was very popular and attractive although, she had, had only one boyfriend in her life and ever since then, she had turned down many boys that had asked her out.
