A generation after the defeat of the Dark Lord, the Wizarding World is starting to feel safe once again. Life goes on, children are born, and several rounds of these children have come and gone from Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The professors have prepared for another calm year, but little do they know that someone within their ranks is posed to upset everything.

The year is 2037, and it has been 40 years since Voldemort fell at the hands of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. This RP will take place from the professors’ point of view, and I’d like to fill up as many roles as we want to before we start. After we’re set on who is playing who, we’ll fill the rest of the roles with names so we can all refer to the same people. References to canon characters are acceptable, although HP and co. would be almost 60 in this RP and Snape and co. would be over 80. Please provide as complete a history as possible for your characters, although the fact that this RP is for advanced players only means there is leeway for you knowing more about your character than you want to share at this time. Character secrets are great and encouraged.

Please PM me or MSN me if you are interested in joining, but a warning: all the RPers are advanced, mature members of this site who are prepared to devote time and enthusiasm to this RP. If you don’t feel you can post an adult character with good character development, post frequently daily and usually in the EST evening, or write involved posts that are grammatically correct and well-written, then please don’t sign up. We’re serious RPers and we get cranky easily. Some of us even bite.

BeBe just nodded. Sure she was upset.. but not everyone had to know. Most people just looked over her anyways... hiccup. Too bad the good looking nurse was in the meeting....hiccup "Thanks, Wei." BeBe sighed as they started off towards the Hospital Wing. "We're exactly the same height. Have you ever noticed?"

'Well, no,' Wei replied surprised, looking at Bebe. She was right. She smiled, charmed by the fact. 'Well it's a common height I suppose,' she shrugged as they continued walking. 'So what's new in the muggle world?' she asked before continuing quickly. 'I mean apart from the news the headmistress had.'

"The muggles are as interesting as ever," she said with a short laugh. "Still obvlivious in so many ways though...." Bebe said starting at the stairs. "I hate to ask this.. but I want to hear it from you and from the rumors that will swirl through the staff. But.. how's the.. thing...with him?"

Nikita tried to keep her face neutral. She wondered who was leading these attacks while the Headmistress continued to talk. She played with her hair as she waited for the meeting to be over. Surely, her sister at the Daily Prophet knew about these attacks.

It was then when Bebe started her introduction and ran off. Raising her eyebrow, she stood up and introduced herself. "I am Professor Nikita Poltsky", she began to say as she pushed her long blonde hair to the side. "I have been at Hogwarts for 5 years and I teach Defense Against the Dark Arts", she smiled briefly at the last part. "You may call me Nikita or Professor Poltsky, that is your choice", she nodded as she sat down quietly.

Warrick shook his head, startled when the Muggle Studies professor began introducing herself, interrupted occasionally by hiccups. He smiled, even though he knew it'd be seen as condensending. With how much the people here tried to ignore him, he was surprised everytime they remembered to invite him to meetings.

He watched as BeBe left, and Wei followed her from the room. Girl talk time, I suppose. He thought, mildly disgusted.

He looked next to him, at another youthful professor, Aria, who seemed to enjoy flirting with the guy on her otherside. He shook his head, wondering if anyone else was paying attention.

Yet again, another professor decided to introduce herself. He began to wonder if the headmistress would ever get to finish, or if anyone else would decide to introduce themselves.

He looked again at Aria, who was now, it seemed, paying attention. Leaning forward with her eyes wide. If I didn't know better, I'd think she was a silly girl, not a grounds keeper at a school such as Hogwarts, he thought. He shook his head and waited for Enora to continue.

Her face dropped and she looked ahead. 'Oh, well,' she began. 'It's civil at least.' Her mind ran over the summer. Watching him run each morning, seeing him at meals. Taking long routes through the school to avoid awkward meetings, the lonely time when she slipped into bed. She tried to smile but faltered. 'I think I made a huge mistake Bebe,' she said, her voice cracking slightly as she swallowed a large lump which was suddenly in her throat.

She smiled dimly, stil swallowing hard. 'It doesn't matter. I;m just being foolish. Come on. Let's get those hiccups sorted.' She was somewhat embarrassed now. Why had she just blurted it out like that? She'd barely admitted it to herself, nevermind anyone else.

Ana was impatient to get beyond the introductions that shouldn't still be going on. "Headmistress... I'm confused. It seems to me that the Muggles should be the concern of the Ministry. Why specifically does this concern us more than it concerns your average Wizard or Witch? How does this affect us?"

"Right..," BeBe said, feeling more stupid by the minute. She was remembering now why she hid from people. Even Wei. They entered the Hospital Wing, and after some shuffling around through some bottles they finally found the Hiccup Cure. Instantly, the hiccups were gone. BeBe put the bottle back and stood awkwardly, not sure what do or say next. "Nice.... weahter we're having...."

'I'm sorry Bebe,' Wei looked somewhat upset with herself. She'd made her friend feel bad. She shook her head. 'I just need to get over all this stuff. It was my choice to leave,' she sighed. 'I'd just expected him to stop me.' She looked out the window. 'What else could I do? It was just getting worse. The bickering was constant, and arguments were starting.' She shook her head, looking down. 'There was just too much strain. Could I have done anything?' she looked up at Bebe. These thoughts had been haunting her ever since. That she'd pverreacted. That there was something she could have done. 'Will I ever stop loving him?' her question was quiet as she plopped onto a nearby bed, a few stray tears rolling down her cheek. She just didn't know, if this was how she was supposed to feel. Cause all she wanted was to curl up in his arms still. Surely that shouldn't be the case.

Edie sat alone, still, looking over the pack of articles on the muggle deaths. She sighed, looking over them, trying to shut out the meaningless conversation around her. She had never really been anti-social, persay, but sometimes she just didn't like interacting with others. She secluded herself sometimes at the most inopportune moments. She assumed it had somehting to do with the Seer blood.

"Oh Wei... Look who you're asking... I can't even get a dog to like me, let alone a real life person," she said, sounding sympathetic as she took a seat next to the woman. "Maybe you should be telling him all this? Maybe he feels the same?" BeBe summoned over a box of tissues and dabbed at a few tears. "Oh.. don't cry," BeBe said, threatening to cry herself. She always cried when someone else cried. But Wei was different. She was going to cry if she cried.

Nikita tapped her fingers softly on the desk. Waiting impatiently for this talk to end. Surely, Professor Granger knew all about it.... Keeping her face neutral to Professor Granger, she tried to look interested in the conversation.. however dull it seemed.

'I can't tell him,' she shook her head. 'I've ruined everything. I left. He asked me not to but I did.' She took a tissue, dabbing at her eyes. 'I can't expect him to do anything but laugh in my face.' She attempted a smile, drying up her eyes, and trying to get control of herself. 'Besides, it's been months now. He probably found someone else.'

That thought more than anything wrenched at her insides, but it was one she needed to get used to. She'd never been good at the whole relationship thing. Cole she'd fit with. But he was the only man she had ever been comfortable with, and she couldn't imagine being able to get that close to anyone else. The fiasco of Saul a few weeks back proved that. She shuddered just thinking about it. Cole was different. He was confident. He knew how to talk to people. He'd be the one to move on. She closed her eyes, taking a deep breath. Patting Bebe's hand. 'Look at me,' she laughed. 'I came out here to see if you were ok.'

"You don't know that he'll laugh at you. I don't know him well... I don't.. and it seems even out of character to me for him to laugh in your face." BeBe shrugged and looked around for something that might be helpful. "I hate to sound cliche.. but you're never going to know until you ask." BeBe was so surprised at herself. Who in Merlins name was she to be giving out advice? She couldn't keep a relationship.. with anyone. "But what do I know?"

'Maybe,' she mused, not entirely convinced. 'Well,' stood up, straightening her robes and glancing in the mirror. Her eyes were slightly puffy and red, but there was little she could do. 'Shall we head back?' She took a step. 'Maybe a short stop in the kitchen. I'm famished.'

"I'll go to the kitchen.. but not back to the meeting. I can't show my face at another Staff meeting for a while. I can't believe I did that...," BeBe said, shaking her head at herself. "It's embarrassing enough to get skipped over in the first place.. then to burst out like that." BeBe busted out laughing. "Food would be great. Always takes my mind off things."

She bit her lip, smiling. 'It wasn't that bad Bebe. Honestly.' She knocked the girl with her shoulder as they walked. 'I hope the house elves have some chocolate.' She laughed. 'Chocolate cake, with chocolate sauce, and chocolate pieces all served with chocolate cream.' She laughed, her mouth watering at the thought. 'Sometimes I think I like chocolate too much.'

"No such thing as liking chocolate too much. It makes even the worst of things.. not so bad. That's true even for muggles," BeBe added proudly. BeBe hurried Wei past the room where the meeting was taking place and slowed again as they neared the kitchens. The House Elves seemed to be waiting on pins and needles when they arrived... almost begging to make them something. They were bored from the summer break.. "We'll have chocolate. Anything you have that is chocolate."

'Poor things have been going insane over the summer,' said Wei as the house elves gleefully ran round, depositing dish after dish on the table. She'd never seen chocolate used in so many ways. Taking a plate of cake, she cut into it with her fork, feeling better the minute she tasted it.

"Well, I guess that about wraps it up," Enora said as she noticed her staff's attentions waining. Two of them had even left the room already. "I don't mean to alert any of you but you should be aware since many of our students have parents who work in the Ministry. And several are from muggle heritage so there may be some questions and some fallout to these reports."

She picked up the remainng handouts that weren't used and stacked them neatly back in front of her seat. "As always, you know how to reach me should trouble arise. I will be at the opening feast as I hope all of you will be," she said, looking at each of them individually. "For now though, I think a trip to Hogsmeade is in order," she announced and without offering her company to any of them specifically, she picked up her stuff and smiled slightly, turning towards the door.

Ivan stood up and stretched, then offered a hand to Ana. "This sounds like a perfectly good situation to use as an excuse to get drunk before all the kiddies come back. To Hogsmeade?" He asked with a grin.

Warrick stood up as he watched people begin to file out. He walked out of the room and went down the hall. He had three sisters so he knew that when women got together, they either stayed in the bathroom, or went to the kitchen. Deciding that there were too many bathrooms in the school, and that they still wouldn't be inconvincing anyone, especailly the guys, they must be in the kitchen. At least, he hoped they were, he did not fancy wandering the schools bathrooms on the off-chance that he'd find them.

His footsteps barely made a sound on the floor, which made it easy for people, especially students breaking school rules, to not know he was there. So, it wasn't a surprise from him that Wei and BeBe hadn't noticed his arrival. What he hadn't expected were the frowns from the House Elves. Appearantly, they didn't like him much either. He shrugged it off, got fairly close behind the two women and said "Boo."
