A generation after the defeat of the Dark Lord, the Wizarding World is starting to feel safe once again. Life goes on, children are born, and several rounds of these children have come and gone from Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The professors have prepared for another calm year, but little do they know that someone within their ranks is posed to upset everything.

The year is 2037, and it has been 40 years since Voldemort fell at the hands of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. This RP will take place from the professors’ point of view, and I’d like to fill up as many roles as we want to before we start. After we’re set on who is playing who, we’ll fill the rest of the roles with names so we can all refer to the same people. References to canon characters are acceptable, although HP and co. would be almost 60 in this RP and Snape and co. would be over 80. Please provide as complete a history as possible for your characters, although the fact that this RP is for advanced players only means there is leeway for you knowing more about your character than you want to share at this time. Character secrets are great and encouraged.

Please PM me or MSN me if you are interested in joining, but a warning: all the RPers are advanced, mature members of this site who are prepared to devote time and enthusiasm to this RP. If you don’t feel you can post an adult character with good character development, post frequently daily and usually in the EST evening, or write involved posts that are grammatically correct and well-written, then please don’t sign up. We’re serious RPers and we get cranky easily. Some of us even bite.

She laughed and playfully poked at him. Moving her head to face him again she smiled "Flattery will get you everywhere." Turning back around she stared and watched as the first stars came out. "How is it we never saw this before?" she asked more to herself then him as she leaned her head on his that was resting on her neck.

"Seen what before, Aria? The stars coming out after kisses, or how we feel about each other?" He whispered to her, he was sure the question wasn't directed at him, but he wanted to learn more about her.

He licked her cheek before leaning back up against the tree, pulling her closer to him. "If you'd like, we can start the dusting tomorrow, it'll go faster with two people, then we can come out here and do whatever you think needs to be done, even if it's just tidying up your quarters, unless you wanted to do that tonight before bed. I've just a room, but you've got a house." He didn't want to leave her company, but he wanted her to set the pace now. He took a risk with the kiss, but didn't want to chase her off yet.

"Both I guess." she whisphered back. She laughed as he licked her cheek. "I'm staying in the castle too this term. The hut I'm gonna use for supplies and stuff. Yeah I dont really feel like dusting or anything right now. That would require having to move and I'm just way to comfortable to do that yet." she kissed him back. "yea I think tomorrow is a good day cause we can start early and be done faster." She said with a smile and started playing with his wrists.

It didn't make him feel any better. For all that Cole thought that hearing those words from Wei's lips would set him free, they only caused him deeper anguish. He didn't know whether or not she was aping his words or if she was in earnest. Not to mention that some small part of him had believed things could change between them. He had thought maybe they could still work it out. But if she was so willing to walk away yet again...

Cole's eyes widened and he chased after her. It only took him 6 months to catch on sometimes. He burst into the tower to find her in tears. Every fiber of him wanted to go to her, but he stopped and stayed in the doorway. "Is this one of those times when I'm supposed to follow?"

"Very well," he answered and got up. He tossed a few knuts on the table for the waitress and paid the bartender before nodding to Miss Granger and opening the door for her. "Did you have a nice summer?" he asked, knowing that was the appropriate and predictable question for aqaintences.

She looked up as the door swung open, swiping at her eyes immediately. Somewhere in the midst of everything else embarasment prickled. He'd seen her cry twice maybe through all the years they were married. Not that there hadn't been tricky times. It was her father who had taught her not to cry, a persuit he found wasteful and weak. Wei suspected that he had secretly wished for a son, feeling a daughter to be a burden.

She sought an answer to his question. To be honest, she would never have hoped that he would follow, but seeing him in the doorway. It was the best feeling she'd had in a while. She scrambled up, her hands using the wall for support. 'Yes,' she said finally before dropping her eyes. 'If you want to try sorting this mess out.' Her voice was low. While there may have been two of them fighting, and true he hadn't followed her, she still blamed herself for the ruin of their marriage. She might never admit it to anyone, but it was what she had been thinking all this time.

He smiled, leaning forward. 'No, I'm good just here.' He closed the distance, kissing her lightly before pulling back. 'How about you? You ok?' He ran his hand down her arm to find her hand, resting his chin against her shoulder. There were things he needed to do, but it was better that she slept first. The first quivers of worry picked at his mind. He couldn't just leave a rose this time. This was all new, and he was somewhat lost as to what to do.

Cole couldn't let himself think too hard about what she was saying or he'd explode. He took a step into the room, his hands behind his back to keep from reaching for her. "And do you want to sort this mess out? I've been expecting your divorce papers, although that would be a very Muggle thing to do."

He smiled, "I'm glad we're thinking on the same lines then." He rested his cheek on the top of her head and smelled her hair again. "Where are you staying at in the castle?" He asked, curious as to how far he'd have to travel in order to see her on their off hours once the students arrived. It wasn't very appropriate to let the students know of something going on between staff, marriage was an exception, but it wasn't good to let students talk otherwise.

He watched as she played with his wrists and kissed her ear. "Have I told you that you're wonderful yet?"

'Divorce papers,' her eyes widened. 'I expected something from you,' she shrugged slightly, moving over to the table and sitting down. 'I figured you'd move on and want to be free of me.' She fidled with the things on her table. Just because he was here didn't mean anything she reminded herself. She glanced up at him, her head tilting minutely to one side as she took him in. She wasn't sure she could take the humiliation of telling him how she felt about the matter. What if he threw it back at her?

She sighed, pushing the things from her reach so she would stop, looking back up again. Someone had to start, or at the very least, she had to say how she felt. If he left after, then she would have to deal with that then. 'I've been miserable since I left,' she admitted finally. 'Of course I want to sort it out.' She paused, continuing before he could interupt. 'I'm sorry to say this if it brings you hurt,' she closed her eyes summoning the courage. 'But my feelings for you havn't changed. And if yours have,' she looked down, 'then, thats ok. But one way or another,' she looked up at him. 'We can't go on like this.'

Cole hesitantly took the seat across from Wei. "My feelings are as they've always been," he finally said, his voice low and without inflection. "I agree we can't go on like this, but I'm ready to agree to whatever you want at this point. Just so that we have some absolution. Whatever you want, Wei... I'll do it. I can sign anything you put in front of me... or move back over to the left side of the bed." It was hard to admit that he'd welcome her back to their room, but he hoped she'd take that choice.

She could have jumped over the table to him at that point, but she knew better. Things could not just go rosily back to where they had been. But, at least there was still a chance. She smiled. 'You sure,' she met his eyes, 'that I'd be welcome there again?' She couldn't believe she was asking this, but he needed to be sure. Otherwise it would just be worse in the end.

Cole looked at her with puzzled eyes. "What do you think I've been saying all this time, Wei? What have we been talking about all this time if not that?" He pushed his pride aside for a moment and touched her hand. "I would rather fight with you about who gets to sleep on the left side than not fight at all. I know you don't agree, but that's what I'm saying."

She took his hand, relieved by his answer. 'I want to,' she smiled. 'Well,' she laughed under her breath, 'not fight. But I miss you. And I want to be home.'

"Well, First floor I think." she said as she mentally went throught the halls of the school. "...yes, first floor." she said with a nod. She shivered as he kissed her ear. It had been a long time since a man had done that and she had missed the attention. She turned back to him and smiled. "Not in the last 3 minutes." and leaned and kissed him. "You're wonderful too you know." she said as she ran her fingers along his arm.

'I don't know.' She thought for a second. Now that they'd agreed on that much. Where did they begin? 'How about a date?' she suggested. 'We could go from there. Unless, you have an idea.' She didn't know if he'd go for it, but maybe he'd suggest something.

He brushed a hand against her face, "I don't know why we never saw it before, Aria. Probably because we never really had a chance to talk to eachother. You know you've always wanted me though, you're probably the only one checking me out in my jeans." He teased her.

He brushed the hair out of her eyes, "You're not too far from where I am then, I'll be able to stop by and visit once school starts without it being too obvious." He leaned in and kissed her lips again. Heavens, they tasted good. He stared into her eyes and kissed her nose. "Well, you're delightful, I know I haven't used that adjective yet." He smiled and kissed her neck.

"A date?" Cole considered it. "Fair enough. But it has to be somewhere that neither of us has been with each other or someone else. We need to have a fresh place for a fresh start." He leaned against the table so he could his his fingers lightly on her cheek. "That's what this is, you know. This is a chance for a new start."

She closed her eyes, smiling. 'Alright then,' she said, her eyes still closed, letting herself just feel his fingers on her cheek. 'You pick the place.' She smiled. 'You know everywhere I've been.' She opened her eyes, moving her hand up to meet him and turning she kissed the palm of his hand.

Cole's breath hitched in his throat and he had to keep from doing anything he'd regret. "Take it slow," he repeated the words to them both, reminding himself that he could ruin this tentative start and letting her know that he wasn't going to push her. "I'll think about the date," he grinned suddenly, pulling his hand back and folding it into his lap.

Cole settled back in his chair. "Maybe just one cup. You need to go to bed," he propped his arms behind his head and watched her bustle. This felt normal, and normal was good.

Aria smirked at him when he mentioned the jeans and rolled her eyes. "You know I'm not sure if your head is big enough for that ego of your's." she said as she brought her hands up to his head as it to measure. She playfully blew in one of his ears and moved her cheek to the other ear. "Nope all hot air." she said kissing him again.

"Yeah your quarters are pretty close to mine." she said and winked at him. She kissed him back as he kissed her and when he kissed her nose she crossed her eyes and tried to touch her tongue to her nose but couldn't reach. "Hehe that is true, I don't believe you've used delightful yet." she replied to him and snuggled in when he kissed her neck.
