About this role-play:
In this Role play Leelee Blaze and her brother Edward Blaze have just taken custody of their cousin Minerva Wheatborn after her family was killed in a plane crash while she was Hogwarts this past term. This thread will have family events as well as gatherings of Minerva's friends and Edward and Leelee's friends. They will grow as a family and become stronger together. Leelee is hoping to get a job at the ministry this year, Edward is a traveler, and Minerva is headed into her third year at Hogwarts.
First Scene:
It's been a few weeks since Minerva has moved in and the new family of three is trying to get adjusted to each other as well as to their new lives. Leelee decides to have a cookout and invite friends of Minerva's as well as Edward's and her own over.

Most of my friends are third year, we actually all our third year. So you will meet many first years that you will find be your close friends, but you will find older students as well that you will be friends with. I play on the puff Quidditch team so that's fun." She looked around to let others answer the question as well.

To be honest neither was he.. it was always the same question for the past few years.. when was he going to settle down and get married.. and soon he had got tired of those questions over and over again.. maybe he wasnt ready yet.. or maybe the right girl hadnt come along.. and if she had maybe she wasnt ready.. he looked at Leelee.. was she THAT woman? he didnt know yet.. of course he loved her alot! but with her job.. he didnt want to tie her down.. nope he would just avoid those questions.. for now he was happy just being by her side. As he looked at her and smiled.. his body started reacting to her.. heart beating fast in his chest.. him almost forgetting to breath.
Leelee shrugged, she didn't know what Edward was doing and didn't really care. She hoped to just be here alone if need be. "He will most likely be with Gabby somewhere, but we have not spent Christmas together since our parents died. So it isn't anything new. We aren't the best of friends if you haven't noticed." Leelee was such a loner and had always been it was easier for her line of work. She took another sip of her drink and thought about the conversation from upstairs that she over heard. "What do you typically do for Christmas?"

I expect being at school has helped her. Edward could tell you more about the kids then I can. Honey Bella was asking about what the kids were like, because of her niece beign out there."

" Yes, Love and I just might have them here in my pocket...." he teased Gabby as he wore a naughty little grin on his face.... " Would you like to see them? Open them perhaps?....." Speaking of kids.... I haven't met that little girl that my son is dating.... I think I'll have a peek just to see who he's beem raving about this time..." Vinnie said as she went out to the living room to check on the kids.
" Justin, Sweetheart. Could you come here for a moment? I'd love to meet your new girlfrien...." she said as she knew he'd have no choice but to introduce them to each other.
Justin heard his mother call him over rather loudly. Embarrassed he walked over to her hanging his head.... Mom's just had no idea how uncool it was for your mom to be calling you over to her in front of everyone.....

Maxwell turned to Susan. "Well, my mom doesn't really do anything. But Dad is the British Ambassador to Europe at the Ministry of Magic." He said with a polite smile.

Daniel nodded as she shrugged.. that told him what she didnt say.. well it didnt matter then .. oh wait she was saying something? "Oh I see.. no I had noticed that you two arent too friendly with each other. I guess I thought that you would be spending Christmas with your grandparents.. thats all" not that he minded that they didnt.. but if they wanted to then he wouldnt mind at all... he watched as she took another sip and asked him a question.. how to answer this.. well might as well come out with it straight "Well usually its spent with family.. but for the past 5 odd years I have prefered to spend it on my own.. I guess I just feel that its better that way" he said to her.. not exactly explaining WHY he thought it was better.. it was probably best that she didnt know the real reason as to why he spent Christmas on his own.. cause come on lets face it.. she would probably not be happy at the mention of the word.. he just hoped that no-one would ask him those questions again.. cause he had no answer for them.. yeah he had Leelee.. but it was way too soon to tell if it was on the cards for them.

Minerva smiled, "Well my parents died back in February, but I live here with my cousins. They have their own business." She hoped others would speak up so she didn't have to explain anymore about her cousins.

But if you want to spend Christmas with them then we will.. but with a little preparation and warning" he smiled.. "So do you want to spend it with my family or just me?" he asked her.. if she chose family.. then he would have to discuss what he hadnt wanted to discuss yet.. but he would not stop her if she wanted to meet his family. I plan on staying with you for as long as you want me around" he said holding onto her hands and smiling at her again as he kissed both hands.
"Now my family couldn't believe that she had done that, so now they may be wary of any woman I bring to meet them so dont be surprised if they bombard you with questions, just to see if you would do what she did" he smiled and chuckled "They might try and figure out if marriage is on the cards with us, I will just tell them its too soon to tell. I mean we have only been dating what 5 months? " he chuckled a little, was 5 months long enough to figure out that you wanted to spend the rest of your life with that one person, he didnt think so. Yeah he loved her and he wanted to continue being her guy, but marriage? now that was an entirely different thing. She might not want to get married yet, she might not be ready for it or something, plus her job kept her away from home alot.. was that ideal in a marriage? See there was alot to think about when it came to that M word, thinking that they had not done. He just hoped that it was not brought up, he would just tell them it was too soon to tell.. UNLESS Leelee had a different answer to tell them, he would ask her in a moment after he lets her take in what he just revealed to her.

Justin took Ariana's hand in his and walked over to his mother and looked at her aye to eye... He was just as tall as her and it was a bit easier to stand up for himself because of it. He may only be 13 , but he looked fully gron. " Hello, Mum, what did you you need to ask me again? "

" I had wanted to wait until Christmas morning for this, but since you just simply can't wait then I suppose....." Edward trailed off before reaching into his inside breast pocket of his jacket. He pulled out a small box. He opened it up before facing the first of two gifts to his love. Inside the box was a pair of rather large diamond earings set in a white gold.... " I hope you like them" he said with a smile as he watched her take in the earing's beauty.

Leelee looked at him, well she didn't need to know that much she thought, but it was a little different. She had never made it far enough to meet families with other boyfriends. She just didn't care enough. Was she really ready to meet this family, she already knew he had muggles in it and that made her skin crawl a bit. She turned and yelled, "Edward can I have a moment of your time dear brother?" Yes the dear brother part was sarcastic. She then turned and saw a different look on Daniel, he wasn't thinking anything of the questions his family was asking was he? She was not the marrying type and she didn't know if she would be, but with Minerva and her job she had enough to deal with. "I know there are some gift exchanges going on tonight, but I was hoping to leave yours until Christmas if that is okay with you?"

Then she let go and walked over to her coat pulling out a package from the pocket. "I thought this might be something nice for you to have so you never forgetting me on those trips of yours." She handed him the package. Once he opened it she smiled, "Turn it over, I had your initials and mine placed on the back."

Daniel smiled as she said that she could deal with his family's questions.. well of course he didnt want to go.. the questions that would be asked. "Leelee, this is not about what I want, its about what you want. It's our first christmas together since we started dating, we will do what you want. So if you want to meet my family then we will, if not then we can spend it somewhere else, whether it is here or some other place" he smiled.. as she went to talk to Edward.. he didnt care where he was spending Christmas.. that was one day that he most definitely wanted to spend with Leelee no matter where! He smiled as she looked back at him, at least his past didnt seem to effect her cause thats what he was hoping! Justin just laughed at his mother's wittiness.. " It's alright, Ari. My mum is really cool. She doesn't really mind what I do as long as I'm not getting into trouble..... To be honest I think she really likes you.... She never joked with Ame or Min the way she did with you." he smiled.

.. but kept calm on the outside as his heart started racing inside his chest.. he took a deep breath.. and shifted his body so that he was facing her.. and he looked at her "Sweetie.. I would love to spend Christmas with you.. BUT if you do want to spend Christmas with my family then I will need to prepare you a little bit.. because there has been a reason that I have avoided spending Christmas or any sort of family gathering with my family. But if you want to spend Christmas with them then we will.. but with a little preparation and warning" he smiled.. "So do you want to spend it with my family or just me?" he asked her.. if she chose family.. then he would have to discuss what he hadnt wanted to discuss yet.. but he would not stop her if she wanted to meet his family. She just needed to be warned thats all. He sat there waiting for her answer.. heart still beating fast wondering what she was thinking.
