About this role-play:
In this Role play Leelee Blaze and her brother Edward Blaze have just taken custody of their cousin Minerva Wheatborn after her family was killed in a plane crash while she was Hogwarts this past term. This thread will have family events as well as gatherings of Minerva's friends and Edward and Leelee's friends. They will grow as a family and become stronger together. Leelee is hoping to get a job at the ministry this year, Edward is a traveler, and Minerva is headed into her third year at Hogwarts.
First Scene:
It's been a few weeks since Minerva has moved in and the new family of three is trying to get adjusted to each other as well as to their new lives. Leelee decides to have a cookout and invite friends of Minerva's as well as Edward's and her own over.

I was wondering if you knew where the woman I love is.. she is a very beautiful woman with silky hair and very captivating eyes.. she goes by the name of Leelee Blaze I know she is around here somewhere I just haven't seen her yet and I am very anxious to see her and tell her just how much I have missed her. " he grinned trying to stop himself from chuckling and ruining his whole plan. It had been so long since he had last seen her and he had missed her very much just the way he knew that he would if she went away again. All he wanted to do right now was hold her in his arms and just look at her and only her and do nothing else.. because for him when she was there with him nothing else existed for him except her.. he would forget that they were not alone but then would have to remind himself that they were not alone. Time for a tiny bit if fun? Yeah he thought so.. "Can I just say that you look beautiful.. just dont tell Leelee I said that.. I don't think she would appreciate me telling you that" he said still trying to hold a straight face.. he just hoped she wouldn't be too mad over his little fun. Cause that's all it was, fun.. he would never tell another woman that.. the only woman that would hear that from him was here right in front of him.. woman's name? Leelee Blaze

Minerva got her plate and filled it with some ham, potatoes, bakes pineapple, and a roll. She of course left the bake beans and green bean casserole because it was gross and smelled funny to her, but she didn't like it so of course it smelled. She headed back into the living room and sat down.
Leelee was about to go back into the kitchen when she felt someone come up behind her. She had recognized the footsteps and gave a small grin to herself, but stiffened anyway. She crossed her arms and listened to what he had to say. WHen he was finally finished she turned on her heal to look at him without the smile. "Have you not learned that you NEVER sneak up behind a Blaze it is a good way to lose and arm or a life." She then smiled "I will tell her when I see her, but word to the wise, I don't think I would be going around telling girls they are beautiful if your with her." She then gave him a hug and small kiss. "So glad you were able to make it. I'm sorry I have been so busy lately."

Maxwell filled his plate with little bit of everything except the casserole and beans. He didn't really care for either, his plate was mainly meat...He took a swat next tome Minnie.

Daniel just looked at her as she turned around.. not smiling? there was no smile on her face.. "Well I guess it depends on which Blaze you are talking about" he said to her.. yeah cause Leelee must have known it was him by his voice at least if nothing else.. when he saw that famous smile creep up on her face he couldnt help but smile himself.. he listened as she gave him some advice "Thank you for those wise words.. I will keep those in mind.. but I am sure she knows that even if I did.. it would mean nothing.. just empty words" he smiled as she hugged him and kissed him which he returned "How could I not make it.. this was my one chance to see you even if it was with people around us.. its ok dont be sorry.. I know your job can keep you busy.. I am just glad that you are here " he smiled.. he was glad that she was here cause she could have easily been away at this time of year.. glad she could look after herself too.. cause that made it easier on him when she was away from home. "How have you been? except busy and missing me" he chuckled jokingly .. she may have missed him.. but he was just kidding around saying that she did.. or maybe she was so engrossed in her work that he didnt even come to mind which he didnt mind because he knew that work can do that to you.. make you forget all else except that work.

Leelee smiled, "Your just lucky I can recognize footsteps and who they belong to. I knew it was you the minute you turned into this room." She chuckled a bit. "Are you hungry, there is a ton of food and the adults have made their way to the dining room for some drinks, would you like to head that way?" She started walking towards the kitchen and smiled at Daniel. "Well work has been a bit crazy, but I have been here trying to catch up on files, I swear the thieves get more greedy this time of year."

Susan had slowly followed all of the other kids into the kitchen to grab a little bit of food. She was still nervous and wasn't sure how much her stomach could handle right now. After she put some ham and green beans on a plate she gave her Aunt a small smile so she wouldn't worry and then headed back with the other kids. She took a corner seat hoping to just to be able to hear the conversation, not be a part of it.
Bella saw Susan come into the kitchen to grab so food with the other kids. Bella thought she looked worried and noticed that she didn't put much food on her plate, and the half hearted small sent her way didn't ease Bella in the slightest. Bella turned towards Gabby "Do you know much about the kids here? Susan looks a little scared and I don't know if she is getting along with the other kids very well." Bella knew Susan was shy and nervous around new peopel, so she wasn't sure why she was getting a strange feeling from her. She was just probably worrying too much again, Susan was always telling her she was such a worry wart. But that didn't stop her from asking the question.
"So when do you think we will head to the cottage, a day or so?" She liked being around Leelee and Edward and now that Justin was living there it made it even easier, but she was always eager to be somewhere with Maxwell.
Maxwell nodded. "Yeah i told him we'd get there the day after tomorrow, I was thinking maybe you could come hang out at mom's with me tomorrow...if you're not busy?" He said smiling at her.

Daniel smiled "You knew it was me even before I got to you? so my plan was ruined the moment I came into the room? oh man! " he chuckled .. so much for his plan .. that meant he wouldnt be able to do that again. "Nah not that hungry." he smiled.. he wasnt sure where he wanted to go.. he just wanted to go where she was for the time being so he followed her into the kitchen as she continued talking to him.. "Yeah this is the time that they are more active usually.. even you hear things like this in the muggle world.. crime rate increasing over the holiday preiod.. so that sounds about right.. " he said as he rememebered a news article that had a similar storyline on it. "Catching up on files? managing to catch up.. or could you do with some help? maybe I could help with something.." he said.. that way it would be done quicker.. if two people got through those files "But I would undertand if you dont want any help" he knew that sometimes she didnt want him to see some files or bit of information.. he smiled as he stood against the counter just watching her.. doing nothing except just standing there and looking at her.. he was glad that she had invited him.. otherwise who knows when he would have been able to see her again.

She was trying to include Susan in their conversation and hoped her boyfriend and best friend would start doing the same.

Just what I need is for you to see those files slip up talking to one of your muggle family members or someone else for that matter and get me blown up, arrested, or attacked. So thank you for the offer, but no thank you." She knew that was a little to mean, but she had been on edge for a few weeks now. The Ameliah case was bugging her and now with what she just heard upstairs she had another reason to not trust her own brother. She tried to hide the thoughts with the fake smile she was great at. "Daniel you remember Edward and Gabby, this is Gabby's friend Bella. Bella this is Daniel. Did everyone get some wine or punch or something to eat. The kids seem to be all eating now so enjoy." She got her wine and went into the dinning room taking a seat she hated gatherings and hated bringing so many people into the house.
Gabby smiled as she saw Daniel come in the room. "Hello Daniel, Happy Christmas." She then turned to Bella, "I don't know what he sees in her." Then to the question about the children she shook her head. "I really don't know anything about them. I had only met Minerva once over the summer. Daniel was suprised when she spun around and refused his offer to help Leelee style.. he looked at her.. "Sorry for offering to help" he said frowning a little "I wont help you.. that way you wont have the fear of me slipping up.. which I wouldnt by the way.. and I dont want you getting hurt because of me" he said to her.. a little hurt that she had said all that.. he had only wanted to help.. maybe she was right.. it was better he didnt help.. just in case anything he saw put her in more danger than she already may or may not be. He looked at the woman that was being introduced to him.. he smiled as well "Hi Bella.. nice to meet you" he said to Bella.. he then turned to Gabby.. "Hello Gabby.. Happy Christmas to you too.. " he said as he watched Leelee leave the kitchen area and go to the dining room.. there he was with two women that he didnt know too well.. he stood there for a moment as the two women talked.. he then gave them a smile "Please do excuse me.. it was nice meeting you both" he said as he went to the dining room to see Leelee sat at the table.. he went and sat down next to her "Work is stressing you out isnt it?" he asked her calmly.. he just sat there as he looked at her before he looked at the table in front of him. He was wrong to have asked to help.. he was stupid enough to think that he could.. when he couldnt.
Ariana looked at minnie and max "i'm sorry i was not about to get in the middle of that no matter how much i hate rowan, she shot Minerva a look about her comment with her staying at her house she she could stay with max, of course it followed by a smirk in which she followed with i might be lucky enough to live with Mil and Ro, cause my parents are having that muggle girl Cassidy stay with them this summer and i swear if i have to look at John and those 2 muggle children again im going to go MAD! they cant understand me half the time cause of my "accent" whatever." she said crossing her arms making herself angry. She didnt know why John hated her after all he was her father, she couldnt help but think how her life would be if the switch never occured, would she even be at hogwarts? whould she be happy? Or even loved by John and Erin? Ariana had an amazing life and the thought of John hating her for being a witch, was enough to send her emotions into overdrive for a moment as she wiped a tear from her face hoping no one noticed

Bella could tell that Susan was nervous meeting new people. Expecially children that were older than her. To tell the truth Bella was a little nervous herself. "It's so nice to see you all again. Hope your Christmas is going well. This is my niece Susan" Bella moved Susan from out behind her.
Susan took a hesistant step forward and waved to everyone with a very quiet "Hello" She was really nervous being here she almost didn't agree to come. But she thought it would be nice to meet some people from Hogwartz so she could see what is was like before she actually got there.

Ariana looked at minnie and max "i'm sorry i was not about to get in the middle of that no matter how much i hate rowan, she shot Minerva a look about her comment with her staying at her house she she could stay with max, of course it followed by a smirk in which she followed with i might be lucky enough to live with Mil and Ro, cause my parents are having that muggle girl Cassidy stay with them this summer and i swear if i have to look at John and those 2 muggle children again im going to go MAD! they cant understand me half the time cause of my "accent" whatever." she said crossing her arms making herself angry. She didnt know why John hated her after all he was her father, she couldnt help but think how her life would be if the switch never occured, would she even be at hogwarts? whould she be happy? Or even loved by John and Erin? Ariana had an amazing life and the thought of John hating her for being a witch, was enough to send her emotions into overdrive for a moment as she wiped a tear from her face hoping no one noticed

Leelee smiled "It is, but not as much as Edward has been. I just don't feel we are on the same page anymore when it comes to things. I feel like it's getting sloppy and someone is going to end up hurt." She sipped her wine, "Sorry I snapped, I really didn't mean to. I guess I'm just not a gathering person. I hate to admit this, but I was kind of glad Minerva wasn't going to be here Christmas day, I am just not a holiday person." She looked at Daniel hoping he wasn't to hurt about the way she treated him, she was not good at the relationship thing.
" Well, my mum is gonna go back to the Manor.... I'm sure you could stay with us for the summer..." Justin said as he took her hand in his and smiled at her. " Do you think your folks would let you stay with me and my mum? "
Ariana smiled as Justin took her hand in his and she shrugged "i dont know if they would, i'd have to ask them and stuff, plus Millie has a fireplace so we can always floo" she said as she looked into his eyes becoming seemingly mesmerized for a moment

Maxwell nodded. "I know neither of them will care, Dad will just be happy to have us and Mom's house is so big that she won't care." He said shrugging. He wasn't going to make his mother out to seem like a nice person, he knew she wasn't.
Minerva smiled, "I would love to come over and hang out. It's nice that it's so close. I can just walk instead of trying to do that crazy floo that I can't figure out, but it's kind of hard to figure out when someones aunt decides to put a spell on a child." She looked over at Ariana joking, but yet still with irritation over Millie, she didn't like Millie at all. Then she turned towards Susan and saw her sitting alone, "Susan we won't bite, you can come over closer. What house do you wish to be in? You said your dad was a slytherin? What do your parents do?" She was trying to include Susan in their conversation and hoped her boyfriend and best friend would start doing the same.
Gabby smiled as she saw Daniel come in the room. "Hello Daniel, Happy Christmas." She then turned to Bella, "I don't know what he sees in her." Then to the question about the children she shook her head. "I really don't know anything about them. I had only met Minerva once over the summer. She seems nice, just a little lost, but she last her parents just about six months ago, so it's to be expected I think. I don't know anything about her other friends though, I'm sorry. Do you think your niece is doing okay?"

Bella felt really bad about Minerva losing her parents. That had to be so hard on the poor girl. "That's has to be really hard on the poor girl. I hope she can lean on her friends for some support. And I'm sure Susan is fine, she just needs get over her shyness and then she tends to open up."

Daniel was glad to see her smile.. that was what he wanted to see on her face.. he listened as she spoke to him "Well lets hope that no-one gets hurt" especially you.. he finished in his head he then clasped one of her hands gently "Its ok.. I understand it was the stress of work.. and maybe organising this may have added to it" he smiled as he continued listening "She isnt going to be here? what about Edward and Gabby? are they going to be here?" he questioned.. maybe they could hang out together if she was going to be alone.. though he didnt mind if her brother and his girlfriend were going to be there.. but with what she was saying about Edward maybe it was best they kept separate for the time being.. not realising that his hand was still holding hers he didnt let go and just looked at her "So what do you usually do when a holiday like Christmas comes around" he asked.. no spending time with family? but maybe she wasnt fond of that either..
To be honest neither was he.. it was always the same question for the past few years.. when was he going to settle down and get married.. and soon he had got tired of those questions over and over again.. maybe he wasnt ready yet.. or maybe the right girl hadnt come along.. and if she had maybe she wasnt ready.. he looked at Leelee.. was she THAT woman? he didnt know yet.. of course he loved her alot! but with her job.. he didnt want to tie her down.. nope he would just avoid those questions.. for now he was happy just being by her side. As he looked at her and smiled.. his body started reacting to her.. heart beating fast in his chest.. him almost forgetting to breath.

Edward walked into the kitchen to grab a few more refreshments to bring out to the kids.. " So, how are all of you ladies doing so far.... The party seems to be going well... They're all having a good time out there..." he said with a smile. Then he stopped next to Gabriela and gave her a kiss that she wasn't expecting. " I've got your gift waiting for you...." he hinted.
