This is a continued role-play created by hazydazy012, the other thread reached posting limit. From the previous thread:

Woo-hoo! An early summer all for yourself, right? Wrong.

One year at Hogwarts a mysterious spell was cast that not even the professors can undo. You wouldn't be able to see a difference at Hogwarts, just looking at the school, but it actually made magic impossible! Not a single person or creature could cast a spell while in the school. How are the students supposed to learn when they can't try out the new spells? Sure, most were devestated, (Especially the 7th years! How are they supposed to finish their last year?!) but of course, some were estatic too! Who doesn't want to have a longer summer vacation? So, most students go home in high spirits TWO months before Hogwarts was officially supposed to be let out for summer break. Only one week into their luxuriously long holiday, every student recieves this letter:

"It is mandatory for any students who want to complete their year to attend "La Bacchetta Magica", a summer learning camp for wizards located in a small getaway near Tuscany. You will be finishing up the studies that were unfinished at Hogwarts. Please bring your wand and other necessary items for regular classes."

Fantastic. Some are angry, but most are excited! I mean, it's called "The Magic Wand" in Italian, for goodness sakes. It's gotta be fun. And guess what?! It is! Everyone is having a great time with the mix of school and just plain summer camp fun! How will the Divinations in the morning and campfires at night affect the students? You decide!

Please join! There will need to be a few professors/camp counselors! Even number of boys and girls, please. Post a bio with a picture, thanks!

(P.S. I looked up "La Bacchetta Magica" and it told me "The Magic Wand" but it was only an online translator. If I'm wrong, then whoops! Heehee)

Vianna listened at Ferris's response and her brows furrowed, her gaze turning from slightly unfriendly to a complete glare, clearly not happy with what she was hearing. "What, so he's not allowed to be smart? He has to earn a right to be a clever squirrel?" she shot at him after the boy's first couple questions, then listening quietly to the words that followed. She could hardly believe her ears - she didn't treat Fluffy like a wonder-pet! And he most certainly did not act out (or so were the girl's beliefs)! But Vianna didn't say this. She didn't feel the need to, as talking with the boy before her had gone from something pleasant to something she had now come to want to avoid. The young girl then took Fluffy into her hands, as if afraid Ferris might randomly strangle him, and left her spot near the tree, settling near the water instead and petting her baby squirrel distractedly. Fluffy was barely aware of what was going on and curled up in her hand, closing his eyes.

Ferris watched as Vianna glared at him, his eyes starting to melt back to their normal gentleness as he watched her get up from her seat. "Wai-" he started, his mouth hanging open slightly as she got to her feet and took Fluffy into her hands. "C'mon, Vi...I didn't...." he trailed off, and watched as she marched over to the shore. The boy frowned slightly, his brows furrowed. Half of him was completely sad that Vianna was upset with him, but the other side was Ferris's debating side and he still believed that that squirrel was spoiled whether Vianna wanted to admit it or not. And that side won over. Ferris narrowed his eyes slightly, deciding that Vianna was being impractical, and leaned back against the tree trunk, taking out the sopping wet book from his back pocket. He dried it with a spell without a second thought and began to read before he could convince himself into apologizing. He wasn't the one who needed to apologize, he was sure of it.

OOC: Off for twenty minutes or less!

Vianna's hand stroked Fluffy's wet, brown fur gently and her eyes watched the small squirrel fall into a light sleep. She smiled very slightly at the sight, but as adorable as she found her squirrel to be, her smile lacked its usual warmth and cheeriness. And half a second later, it was gone and her features turned more serious once again, brows furrowing slightly. Her mind was traveling back in time, remembering the last argument she and Ferris had had about her squirrel. The time Fluffy had bitten her finger and she had been upset with Ferris instead, not having liked the way he mistreated the critter. But to her, Fluffy was just a defenseless little squirrel, he probably didn't even mean to do that on purpose. And how was she supposed to not give him everything he wanted when he was just so tiny and cute and just plain adorable? It was impossible. Vianna sighed to herself and her gaze left the squirrel in her hand to look at the waterfall before her instead.

Ferris lasted a good ten minutes of reading before his thoughts roamed back to the girl who had marched away from him just a little while ago. He hoped he hadn't made her feel bad or anything....Wait, no, no...he was right, he was sure. One line, two lines, Vianna....No, no...One line, two lines, two and a half, What was she doing now?..Wait-no, I'm right...One line, two lines, three lines, fou...Vianna. He let out a soft aggravated sigh as his eyes once more returned to the girl just a few yards away from him. He was right...wasn't he? Fluffy was spoiled more than he should be, and that wasn't exactly the best thing. But the point was, he didn't need another friend to keep him occupied, he had everything Vianna gave him to keep him occupied.

Vianna was distracted by the waterfall for a few minutes before looking back down at her squirrel once again, distracted by the sight of him for another few minutes. But there were no more distractions. There was no one to talk to - well, there was, but she was refusing to talk to him at the moment - and now that her squirrel was asleep, she couldn't entertain herself watching him running around either. Though even if Fluffy was awake, he probably wouldn't be doing much running around. Growing rather bored, Vianna very gently let Fluffy off her hands and set him on the green grass instead, then grabbing her shoes and pulling them on. She got up and wiped the dirt off her damp clothes and took a look around. Okay, now which way was town? But there were no signs leading her to town here in the middle of this wilderness. She was stuck here and the only one who had a broom at the moment was the person she was avoiding. She paced for a moment before pulling out her wand and summoning her broom, though she wasn't sure the spell would work from such a distance. But it was worth a try, and so she waited, taking this time to dry her clothes with her wand.

Ferris was just taking yet another glance at Vianna, immediately turning his brown eyes back to the page when he did a double take as he realized she was getting up and putting her shoes on. Where was she possibly going? He watched her pace, shamelessly staring now as his curiosity got the better of him. His brows furrowed just slightly as she seemed to summon something, and he was very very confused for a moment, watching her dry her clothes when he finally realized she must've been summoning her broom to go somewhere. Oh...The boy hesitated, partly wanting to call out to her, but his debating side not wanting to. He didn't want her to leave though...

Once dry except for her long brown hair, Vianna began pacing again. She didn't want to just sit and wait, as beautiful as the pond and the waterfall were, she couldn't find any fun in admiring them anymore. She just wanted to head back to the inn and occupy herself with something, anything. Maybe getting started on the Dreamless Potion, or something of the sort. Yeah, that sounded like a good distraction. But her broom wasn't here yet, and she wasn't sure it would even arrive. Vianna sighed and stopped pacing, sitting down beside Fluffy once again and beginning to pick at the grass with boredom. And the lack of distraction was bringing the girl to think about her earlier argument with Ferris much against her will. She didn't want to think about that, it wasn't necessarily something pleasant. But after about another seven minutes, something stirred from the nearby bushes and trees, and to sight came Vianna's broom. Vianna quickly jumped up to her feet and welcomed the broom into her expectant hands. But... now that she had it, she grew a bit hesitant. As upset as she was with Ferris, she felt it would be rather cold to just leave him. She felt she should at least inform the boy of her intentions, as he did have a right to know because whether she liked it or not at the moment, she was still his girlfriend and they still cared for each other. "I'm heading back to the inn," she announced after a moment of hesitation, her voice a bit louder than usual as it fought through the background noise of the waterfall. "I... I'm going to get started on the potion," she added, watching Ferris for a brief moment before turning and very gently waking Fluffy up so he would hop into her free hand.

Ferris was watching all this time, his brown eyes curiously following the girl as she paced and sat back down, and then jumped up again this time to see her broom. He watched with slightly melancholy eyes as she took it into her hands. So she was leaving. The boy frowned slightly as he thought this over. He didn't want her to leave in the slightest, not even the part of him that was still stubbornly sticking to his side. But she was going, and he listened as she told him she would be heading back to the inn to work on the potion. He froze, unsure of what to say. He didn't want to give in and apologize, but he also didn't want her to leave him...What was he supposed to do? Tell her to stay with him in silence while they remained in a fight? No...That wouldn't work. And the only thing poor Ferris could think of as a response was a small nod, his lips itching to tell her to stay but his mind telling him not to.

Vianna watched the boy for a moment as he remained quiet, turning slightly thoughtful. But then he finally gave her a response, merely nodding his head at her. Vianna nodded in return for a brief second before levitating her broom and mounting it. The air around them felt heavy and uncomfortable, she was desperate to get out of it, but part of her really didn't want to leave the boy. But what else was she supposed to do, stay and continue on with this awkward, ridiculous silence? No... And so, with Fluffy in one hand, the girl used her other hand to guide the broom as it dashed into the air at that usual speed the young girl usually used.

Ferris watched with saddened eyes as the girl just a few yards away from him zoomed away into the air without another word, knowing that she was headed back to the inn. Suddenly he scowled softly to himself, gently tossing his book to the side and crossing his arms over his chest as he scanned the now empty lake and waterfall. It wasn't supposed to be like this; they were supposed to have a nice day together at the lake. That's all he wanted. And yet, they managed to get into some sort of disagreement. The boy thought about it for a moment....Had he been wrong? No...Fluffy was a spoiled little squirrel, mostly thanks to Vianna. He had never said that was a bad thing though, but rather he had just been stating a fact Vianna didn't want to hear. After another ten minutes or so of staring ahead thoughtfully, half of him wanted to follow after her.

Vianna wasn't too far when her mind began preoccupying itself remembering the last twenty to thirty minutes back in the woods. Her brows furrowed slightly, not wanting to think about this but finding herself unable to stop - what if Ferris got lonely? Vianna's forehead creased slightly; the boy probably didn't mind, but being lonely was one of Vianna's own worst fears, precisely what had her so terrified that first day at camp. But they weren't even talking… Now she sighed. And all this for what, again? She glanced down at the squirrel in one of her hands. No… no potion and no inn - and definitely not her stupid brothers - were gonna help her get her mind off this. And so she stopped, hovering in the air for a moment. Fluffy looked up at her with puzzled eyes, and in the next second, the girl had turned and headed straight back to the woods. She landed the same way she usually did - crashing to the ground. But she kept Fluffy safe in her hands and was quick to hop back up to her feet, ignoring the new cuts on her knees. She ran through the trees and bushes and back out to the clearing, the waterfall coming back to sight. She turned to the boy still by the tree and hesitated for a moment. "Professor--"

Ferris, staring ahead at the waterfall, had a very solemn look to his eyes. He was already past his pride, and was now trying to figure out why he was already missing the girl that had just left a few minutes ago. And now she was gone. She left him because he had been ridiculous just trying to prove a point. His brows furrowed further; what if he had seriously upset her? He cursed under his breath softly, why did he always have to make a point? Forcing the point that Fluffy was spoiled didn't matter at all, not enough to hurt Vianna enough so she had to leave. He was abruptly taken from his thoughts as suddenly his favorite nickname was called from his right and he snapped his head around to see Vianna there. A grin spreading across his face, the boy let out a soft, "Vi..."

Vianna tried to smile in return, but she felt too hesitant, anxious, and rather nervous at the moment to make any more movements, just standing there watching the boy with a slightly creased forehead. After about a minute, she finally spoke, "I-- Fluffy-- he-- I just--" She paused for a moment, trying to gather all her thoughts together into a complete sentence. "Fluffy's… he's my first pet, I just wanted to be a good pet owner… I didn't want it to affect-- us." She paused for another moment, now looking down at the squirrel in her hands. Suddenly she looked so much younger, not like a sixteen-year-old, but like a little girl with her favourite toy, stuck in the most unpleasant of situations and desperately looking for a way out of this sudden discomfort.

Ferris's smile faded slightly as he watched the girl standing just a couple feet from him stutter out an explanation, trying to figure out what she was trying to say. But in the next moment, she had explained that Fluffy was her first pet and she just wanted to be a good owner. But as she mentioned that she didn't want it to affect them, the boy shook his head, his brows slightly furrowed. Sure, they got into a fight about Fluffy every once in a while, but it wasn't something that ever made him forget how much he loved Vianna. As weird as that sounded, even when they weren't talking he was thinking about her, hoping he hadn't hurt her feelings or upset her. The boy stood up, slowly closing the distance between them until he was standing in front of her, "I know all of that Vi, you...You don't need to think that it's affecting us. It's never going to affect us majorly, I promise."

Vianna nodded her head slightly as Ferris spoke, her eyes still on the squirrel that was now curling up in her hands. But she couldn't look at her squirrel the same way anymore, it was like that perfect image of her precious little squirrel had been tainted by this unpleasant experience. And even though she had finally explained herself, and they had finally spoken, it didn't go like Vianna had hoped. There was still this sense of discomfort around her, as if nothing had changed. She sighed and gave her head another nod before walking away and back into the trees and bushes to get her broom, though really, she just wanted to do something, feeling herself back at square one where she needed something to do, something to distract her.

Ferris watched with observant brown eyes as Vianna simply nodded at him with a sigh, staring back at her squirrel in a manner he couldn't understand in the slightest. What was still wrong? Had he done something else? Before he could ask any of those questions the girl was off, back into the woods, and Ferris was stuck with the decision on whether to follow her or not. Why was she heading away again? Hadn't...Hadn't they just kind of made up? The lanky boy stood there, still pale chested in the sunlight with his brows slightly furrowed, his brown eyes a little sad, and his hands in his pockets as he looked after Vianna.

Vianna's broom wasn't too far off, and the girl was able to find it quickly. She let Fluffy hop off her hands and picked up the broom, shrinking it in size with a wave of her wand and putting it away. She turned to Fluffy who was also being rather out of character, just standing there with his big belly and staring at her. He was probably still too full to run around and be his usual hyperactive self. Vianna returned the blank stare for a couple of seconds before heading back out. She came to a halt by the shore and pulled her shoes and socks off before diving into the cool, refreshing water. Fluffy emerged from the woods a moment later and settled near her shoes, curling up on the grass and closing his dark eyes.

Ferris turned slightly to watch as Vianna returned from the woods, going straight to the water and after taking off her shoes and socks, dove in. He hesitated for a moment. He couldn't say that he didn't want to swim with the girl once more, but...Maybe she wanted to be alone? That didn't make sense. If she wanted that, she wouldn't have come back. And so, the boy slowly walked over to the water's edge and dove gently into the water, much different from his more playful cannonballs.

Vianna disappeared under the water for a few seconds before resurfacing again, wiping the water off her face and pulling her long brown hair back, where it wouldn't block her sight. She nearly gave a shriek when she caught sight of something white and pale under the clear waters, sure for a moment there that it was a giant fish out to get her or something. But then she realized fish didn't wear jeans and so she merely watched the boy swimming under the water with puzzled eyes, waiting for him to resurface.

Ferris came up to the surface just a moment later, about a foot away from Vianna as he stood up on his feet. His curls deflated to the point of near-straight wet locks, the dripping wet boy looked over at Vianna with clear hesitance in his eyes. He was unsure what to say to her, though the sight of her made the corners of his lips twitch up into a small half smile, his brown eyes watching her with hesitance, but also admiration. As weird as it was, the boy enjoyed scanning her features every once in a while, taking note of her blue eyes and long brown hair. It was a bit of a habit of his.

Vianna watched Ferris for a moment, then blinked, a bit confused by the way he just stood there and stared at her. It was awkward, she couldn't deny; even if they had talked, they still felt rather hesitant to address each other and it didn't make the situation any better. Vianna opened her mouth, about to speak, but no words came out. She didn't know what to say. She had nothing to say. But this silence was making her discomfort worse with each passing second, and she felt the need to break it somehow. "I-- so-- uh... y-your hair's really straight," she commented lamely, her eyes leaving him for a moment to check on Fluffy who seemed to have fallen asleep, before returning her gaze to the boy.

Ferris watched as Vianna struggled to find something to say, and he gave her a weak smile. It was awkward between them, he couldn't not see that, but he didn't like it. He didn't like feeling as though he had to plan what he said to the girl. He wanted to go back a half hour, back to when they were completely comfortable around each other. Finally, the girl before him stuttered out the comment that his hair was really straight. his eyebrows rose and he lifted a hand to run his fingers through his soaked brown hair. "Yeah, I guess," he replied with a soft chuckle which died down a moment later. He hated this! What was with them? After a moment, he shook his head, "This is the dumbest thing I've ever witnessed in my life," he suddenly said as his brown eyes returned to Vianna. "We are in one of the prettiest places I've ever been to, I'm with my favourite person on the planet, we have marshmallows, it's a gorgeous day, and we can't enjoy it because..? What? We had a disagreement over Fluffy?" He shook his head before nearing her, forgetting about the distance he had been trying to keep in his hesitance. His lanky arms fell around her and pulled her into him, enveloping her once more in his warm embrace. "Am I right? Or do you hate me for even considering having a good time with my girlfriend?"

Vianna gave a brief nod as Ferris agreed to her earlier comment and she looked down at the water for a moment. But then the boy spoke again, and her gaze quickly returned to him, her blue eyes wide. Dumb? What--what was dumb? Was it her? Oh Merlin… She blinked, completely puzzled and rather paranoid, before Ferris then went on, explaining their situation. Vianna felt a wave of relief wash over her and she listened to him quietly, attentively. She gave an attempt at a weak smile but failed. It was true it all seemed 'dumb' now, but she couldn't stop feeling rather uncomfortable with it all. What was supposed to happen now? Would she have to let Fluffy go or something, to avoid this in the future? But before Vianna could continue thinking about this, Ferris had approached her and wrapped his arms around her, asking her if she hated him for even considering having a good time with his girlfriend. Vianna gave him a faint smile, succeeding at it this time, and she shook her head. "No, sorry…" she muttered, turning quiet as her smile faded and she looked away once again, her brows beginning to furrow slightly as she turned thoughtful.

Ferris shook his head, a slight smile still on his face, as she told him she was sorry. "Don't be sorry," he quickly corrected her softly, watching as she looked away from him. Something was still wrong. And he wasn't sure if it had to do with him or something else, but he wanted to get to the bottom of it so he could make her feel better. "What's wrong, Vi?" he asked very softly after a moment of silence. "Tell me what to do. I don't know if it's me, but if it is, let me know. I-I don't have to be...I don't know, close or near you. If that's what you want."

Vianna looked up again as Ferris spoke, snapping out of her minor trance. She listened quietly and her eyes widened slightly. "No-- no, it's not that," she said quickly, shaking her head slightly. "I just..." Her brows furrowed again as she tried to think of a way to phrase her thoughts and concerns, not really sure how to do so. "It's-- I don't know, Professor. I want you to tell me what to do - what am I supposed to do about Fluffy now? I don't want to continue having these stupid arguments with you," she finally said, her frustration coming across a bit stronger than she intended it to. "You should've never given me the squirrel, if this is what was going to come out of it," she added a bit more bitterly, her eyes now turning disapproving - she was going on typical-girl mode now, turning stubborn, confusing, and rather argumentative. But she had trouble controlling her frustration now.
