This is a continued role-play created by hazydazy012, the other thread reached posting limit. From the previous thread:

One year at Hogwarts a mysterious spell was cast that not even the professors can undo. You wouldn't be able to see a difference at Hogwarts, just looking at the school, but it actually made magic impossible! Not a single person or creature could cast a spell while in the school. How are the students supposed to learn when they can't try out the new spells? Sure, most were devestated, (Especially the 7th years! How are they supposed to finish their last year?!) but of course, some were estatic too! Who doesn't want to have a longer summer vacation? So, most students go home in high spirits TWO months before Hogwarts was officially supposed to be let out for summer break. Only one week into their luxuriously long holiday, every student recieves this letter:

"It is mandatory for any students who want to complete their year to attend "La Bacchetta Magica", a summer learning camp for wizards located in a small getaway near Tuscany. You will be finishing up the studies that were unfinished at Hogwarts. Please bring your wand and other necessary items for regular classes."

Fantastic. Some are angry, but most are excited! I mean, it's called "The Magic Wand" in Italian, for goodness sakes. It's gotta be fun. And guess what?! It is! Everyone is having a great time with the mix of school and just plain summer camp fun! How will the Divinations in the morning and campfires at night affect the students? You decide!

Please join! There will need to be a few professors/camp counselors! Even number of boys and girls, please. Post a bio with a picture, thanks!

(P.S. I looked up "La Bacchetta Magica" and it told me "The Magic Wand" but it was only an online translator. If I'm wrong, then whoops! Heehee)

Ferris was using his stroll down the street to look around for any promising restaurants, and they weren't that hard to find in this city. But it was all about choosing the right one. As Vianna was simply enjoying her walk, the boy at her side was analyzing the surrounding restaurants for good price ranges and really good food. Finally, his eyes settled on a diner just a block down from them, and it seemed to be a little older than the rest of the surrounding area. "Let's head in there," he suggested softly, pointing it out as they got closer to the window which showed off an old diner setting.

Vianna was snapped out of her minor daze as Ferris suddenly spoke, suggesting a diner that was only a block away. The young girl, not really paying attention to prices or food quality, beamed at the sight of it. She took Ferris's hand into her own smaller one and quickened her pace, dragging him along with her toward the diner he had pointed out just a moment ago.

Ferris, as always, had trouble keeping in the laugh that emerged from his lips as Vianna dragged him over to the diner enthusiastically, and he opened the door for both of them as soon as they reached it. A small jingle reached his ears, and that reminded him desperately of home, so much in fact that he paused in the doorway for a moment, his brown eyes expressionless. Nearly every store back home had a jingle on the door, it was a sound he had grown up with, and gave him a stab of homesickness that he honestly hadn't been expecting. He shrugged it off a moment later, letting his eyes roam over the small, cozy red and white diner. It seemed to have a good number of people in it, all buzzing with chatter, old vintage posters on the wall and a sign that said it had been around since 1926. Ferris looked over all of the people, the old booths, and the soft music playing in the background, a very small smile coming onto his face.

Vianna nearly fell over as the boy she was dragging along came to an abrupt halt, completely catching her off-guard. Puzzled, she turned back only to find Ferris with a far-away look in his eyes as he looked around the diner. "You okay, Professor?" she asked, fearing she might have hurt his back with their rushed walking or something. But right at that moment, they were approached by a cheery hostess who greeted them with a warm smile and asked the couple to follow her to that which would be their table during their short stay at the diner. Vianna gave Ferris one last puzzled look and followed after the hostess, her small hand still wrapped around the boy's.

Ferris turned his eyes back to Vianna as she asked if he was okay, about to respond when the hostess came up to them and started leading them to a table. The boy followed after Vianna, his hand still intwined with hers as the waitress lead them over to a corner booth towards the back of the restaurant. He sat down in the booth that wrapped around the small table, gently releasing Vianna's hand so he could do so and listened as they waitress told them she would be back soon for their orders. "Great, thank you," he said before he took the menu into his hands. Now it was the accents, the British accents that matched his perfectly. It wasn't that hard to come by and he had been around them for the past day or so, but after being to so many different countries...that bell mixed with those accents and this atmosphere...It was making him homesick. He felt like he was going crazy; why was he letting this get to him?

Vianna sat down opposite Ferris and let Fluffy hop off her hands and on to the table, where he settled near a small stack of napkins and began shredding the top one to tiny little pieces just for the fun of it. Vianna wasn't really aware of her squirrel's destructive behaviour as her gaze fell to the open menu she was now holding in her hands. Once decided on what she wanted, the girl closed her menu and let it rest on the table, looking at Ferris for a moment before catching sight of her squirrel destroying the napkins. "Fluffy!" she hissed, taking the squirrel gently into her hands and setting him on her lap, away from the napkins that she quickly began to clean up.

Ferris was distracted from his staring contest with the menu as Vianna said her squirrel's name accusingly, and the boy looked up to see her picking up Fluffy from a bunch of shredded napkins. He gave an amused smile and a soft chuckle before turning back to his menu, which he couldn't concentrate on. Instead, he looked around at the diner, taking in the smells of the food coming out of the kitchen and listening to everyone chatter around them. He then looked over to Vianna, analyzing her for a moment before sneaking an arm around her waist and pulling her about a foot over to him. Since they had a corner table, they managed to get a booth that wrapped around, therefore allowing the boy to meet her halfway at the end of the table and hold her close to his side as though nothing had just happened. He felt like a little kid, but he hated feeling homesick. It was a feeling he just couldn't shake off whenever it caught onto him, and Vianna always ended up being the equivalent of what a comfort toy is to a child to him. He kissed her forehead gently before opening the menu once more, "Alright, what're you getting Vi?"

Vianna was trying to deal with an angry Fluffy who was trying to hop back on to the table by climbing the tablecloth when Ferris unexpectedly pulled her closer and awarded the girl with a kiss on the forehead. Squirrel completely forgotten now, the young girl turned to Ferris with puzzled blue eyes and listened as he asked her what she was getting. "I'm going to get a spinach and mushroom omelette," she answered with a faint smile. "How about you? Have you chosen what waffles you want?" she asked him.

Ferris looked at her for a moment as she told him what omelette she was getting and he nodded before turning back to the menu as she mentioned the waffles. "Oh right," he said, having almost forgotten. He scanned the menu, turning it over to see a selection of different waffle choices. "Ooh! I'm getting the blueberry...with whip cream....and strawberries..." the boy listened off with near sparkling eyes as he roamed over the options with a soft laugh. "Do you think they'd put bananas on it for me?" he asked the girl at his side.

Vianna couldn't help but chuckle softly as Ferris seemed to have forgotten about his waffles, though it did puzzle her slightly. If he hadn't been looking for the waffles all that time he spent looking at the menu, then what had he been doing? But before she could think on it too much, Ferris was announcing his choice to her. Vianna smiled with amusement at his childlike enthusiasm and her eyebrows rose slightly as he asked if they would put bananas on it for him. "I'm sure if you asked for it, they would," she replied with a soft chuckle, amused by the boy beside her. The girl then leaned over and placed a kiss on his cheek before returning her attention to Fluffy who had found his way back on to the table and was now running to the opposite end of it as he caught sight of Vianna's hands reaching for him.

Ferris's face lit up with a smile at the feel of Vianna's lips on his cheek, something that always seemed to brighten up his expression. He turned his eyes back to her just in time to see Fluffy dart from her fingers and try to escape across the table. But just in time, the waitress reappeared from the table across from them, stopping the little squirrel in his tracks with a cheery grin. She picked up the creature and stared at him for a moment with apprehensive but friendly eyes before passing the squirrel back to Vianna with the biggest smile she could make at the moment. She obviously didn't like rodents, but she was also obviously trained not to offend the customer.

Fluffy stared blankly at the waitress as she held him in her hands, growing quite still and rather limp. Vianna welcomed the little squirrel into her hands as the waitress handed it back to her. "Thank you," said the young girl, then placing Fluffy beside her, on the seat. The squirrel merely sat there and waited for the others to grow distracted before trying to climb back up the tablecloth while the waitress began taking the others' orders.

Ferris quickly told the waitress what he wanted, once more distracted by letting his eyes roam around as the young woman took Vianna's order. His arm remained snug around her waist, keeping her into her side casually as he observed the people. They looked much different than anyone in his hometown would...More like slightly wealthy city people trying to get the small town experience. And then, as he looked around, he noticed the various details of the place that gave away its lack of authenticity. Even though this place had been around since 1926, they had changed their decor a little too much to get the small town feel. And worse, this made him miss home again...the authentic old buildings.

Vianna shared her order with the waitress and watched as the girl took the menus back into her hands before disappearing from sight. Vianna watched her go for a moment and then turned her gaze to Ferris. The boy seemed to have that far-away look in his eyes again as he gazed around the small diner, causing Vianna's brows to furrow slightly as she noted this was the second time she caught him doing that. "What're you thinking about?" she asked suddenly, giving Ferris a curious look and a faint smile, intrigued by what might have been causing him to grow so distracted.

Ferris was disrupted from his thoughts as Vianna spoke, asking what he was thinking about. It was then that he realized he must've been staring into space for the past couple minutes, leaving her in silence. He gave her a small, apologetic smile as he thought for a moment. "I'm thinking about...Home," he admitted with a slightly saddened smile, his brown eyes coming back to her with a bit of solemnity in them. "This place...It really really reminds me of my town." He felt like a bit of a jerk, admitting this to the girl who had been so sweet to him, who always made him feel better...And here he was...telling her he was homesick when she hadn't even been able to visit her own home at all during this entire time.

Vianna listened as Ferris spoke, explaining to her that he had been thinking about home, since the small diner reminded him an awful lot of his own hometown. The girl's smile faded and her forehead creased slightly as she listened, beginning to feel rather bad for the boy. She had almost forgotten that being back in England, in his homeland surrounded by his culture would, of course, remind him of his home. "I'm sorry, Professor," she muttered, finding herself at a loss for words. She really wanted to, but knew she couldn't just tell him not to worry, that they would be able to return to his home soon as that wasn't really the case. At least not yet. "We'll eat somewhere a little more different next time," was all the consolation she could really come up with at the moment as she took his hand into her smaller one and placed another kiss on his cheek.

Ferris listened as she apologized for something that wasn't her fault, accepting the kiss on the cheek with a weak smile, and listened as she added that they would eat somewhere a little different next time. He shook his head, "Don't worry about me, Vi," he said, trying to take back his previous complaint about being homesick. The more he thought about it the more he felt like an idiot for bringing it up. He had seen his mother, his friends, his home already...She hadn't. And that made him feel like a jerk.

"That's going to be a little difficult to do now that I know you're feeling troubled," said Vianna as Ferris asked her not to worry about him. She smiled faintly at him before looking away only to catch sight of her troublesome squirrel back on the table shredding more napkins. Vianna sighed and opted best to let him be, since taking him away from the napkins twice already had clearly not worked. "I have a good feeling about all of this, y'know," she said suddenly, still absentmindedly watching Fluffy. "About the kidnappers, I mean," she clarified, turning to Ferris.

"Well, you'll just have to try very very hard," the boy said, a teasing tone to his voice in spite of himself as Vianna told him it would be hard not to worry over him. He rested his head on hers gently, watching Fluffy shred up more napkins with his little paws...That squirrel was amused by such weird activities. His eyes returned to the girl at his side, gently lifting his head from hers, as she told him she had a good feeling about this whole kidnappers situation. The boy couldn't help but smile, "Oh really? And what makes you so sure of this feeling of yours?"

Vianna wasn't even aware that a smile had come to her face as she watched Ferris smile as well when he asked her what made her so sure of this feeling. "I'm not sure, just... the fact that we're doing something. And that we know where the kidnappers are - if they're still there, when they don't know where we are - or at least I hope they don't. It kind of makes me feel like we've got a minor advantage, if you don't count all the dark magic they're able to perform," she said with a humourless chuckle.

Ferris listened with admiring eyes as the girl next to him explained that she wasn't sure, but rather she was just feeling good about their upper hand against the kidnappers at the moment. He grinned at her, his guilt for bringing up homesickness momentarily forgotten as he observed the optimistic girl at his side. He pressed a warm kiss to her cheek without warning, glad to hear her so happy about their current situation. "I'm glad that you have a good feeling," he told her with a soft chuckle.

Vianna smiled as Ferris placed a kiss on her cheek but then her brows furrowed slightly as she returned her gaze to him. "What about you?" she asked. "How do you feel about it all?" She wondered if Ferris saw the situation in any way similarly to her or if he thought they were doomed and meant to die in a couple months. Hopefully not the latter.

The boy thought for a moment as she asked how he was feeling about all of this and he replied with a slight smile, "I'm feeling pretty good about it," he admitted, leaning back against the booth comfortably. "Especially knowing that you're so thrilled with it," he added, showing off his dimples as his smile widened without his knowledge. But it was true, and very interesting how Vianna's feelings and moods about things changed his own perspective so much.

Vianna grinned as Ferris answered her question with positive spirits, only brightening the girl's mood even more. She liked seeing him confident about their situation with the kidnappers for once, glad that she no longer had to try long and hard to convince him to think more positively but rather he was doing it on his own now. Vianna's eyes almost sparkled at this realization and she watched the boy beside her with admiring eyes for a few moments before then giggling lightly to herself. She leaned over and stole the glasses that rested on his face. She examined them for a moment and then placed them on her own face. Though on her, they looked more like a Halloween costume; they covered half her face and slipped to the very tip of her nose. Fluffy stopped his shredding to stare at Vianna with blank eyes and the girl grinned. "I think Fluffy likes them!"

Ferris watched with the same amount of admiration in his brown eyes as Vianna giggled to herself, obviously pleased with both of their current outlooks on their situation. Before he could stare at her too long, she had stolen the sunglasses from his face, exposing the slightly amused shock in his brown eyes as she put them on her own face. He laughed aloud at the sight of Vianna wearing the sunglasses that fell down her nose, obviously a little too big for her. But she was so...cute. He let out a softer chuckle as she mentioned that Fluffy seemed to like them and he smiled warmly at her, "They look great," he assured her, pressing his lips to her cheek once more.
