Ferris listened as she thanked him, explaining that she needed something to wake her up so she could stir the potion at midnight. Oh, right, that. He still wasn't too fond of her losing sleep, but knew better than to argue on this point, he had already tried that earlier and knew she wouldn't budge. But as she started to fiddle with the alarm button, trying to figure it out, he let out a small laugh, amused by her cute confused expression. "Let me get that for you," his voice came from behind her, his arms lifting up from their place around her waist to let his hands fall around hers. "Alright, so..You press the alarm button," he said softly, using his own thumb to press the small button. "And then you go up and down to set the time," he explained, now using his thumb to scroll until the time read 12:15. |
Vianna gave Ferris a sheepish smile as the boy clearly noticed her confused expression. Her eyes returned to the watch as he began showing her how to set the alarm, and the young girl's eyebrows rose slightly. Ever the grateful, modest one, the girl replied, "I knew that!" Pride echoed from her voice. |
"Of course you did Vi," the boy responded with an amused smile as Vianna quickly said that she knew how to set the alarm all along. He released her hands, letting his arms wrap around her once more and pull her closer so he could press a kiss to her cheek. "Are you sure you want to get up?" he asked, not wanting to annoy her with his pestering, but still not happy with the idea of her waking up in the middle of the night. He was most likely going to be up anyway, his dreams had been mild lately, but he was hardly ever sleeping peacefully. |
Vianna chuckled softly as Ferris played along with her before awarding her a kiss on the cheek. The young girl smiled, always welcoming these gestures positively; but she was soon distracted as he then asked if she was sure she wanted to get up. Vianna turned to him and gave him a faint smile. "Would you go to sleep with me?" she asked. "I mean, not in the same room, but if I went to sleep would you go to bed, too? Or are you going to stay up?" she continued, giving Ferris a curious look. |
"Well, I was asking if you were sure you wanted to get up at midnight," he clarified with a sheepish chuckle, realizing she must have misunderstood his words. "But, if you did want to go to bed right now..." Ferris said thoughtfully, thinking about what he would do if she decided to get up and go to sleep right now. "Uh...I guess I would just read my book and try to figure out a sleeping arrangement," he decided with a soft chuckle and a shrug. It was then that he remembered he would be sleeping on the floor unless he could come up with a spell for a cot. Which he hadn't ever heard of, and even if the inn provided it...the cot would probably be covered in dust even worse than the floor. He would just stick to the floor, he decided. |
Vianna's eyebrows rose as Ferris cleared up that he was referring to getting up in the middle of the night, not at this moment to go to bed. "Oooh," she muttered and listened quietly as he went on. Her brows furrowed as he shared with her that he would probably just read a book until he figured out a sleeping arrangement, and it was then that she remembered the boy had no bed. "Mm... can't you summon a sleeping bag or something?" Vianna asked, not too thrilled with the idea of Ferris sleeping on the floor when his back was the way it was. |
Ferris gave another shrug as Vianna suggested summoning a sleeping bag, "I don't know, it's probably easier to just sleep on the floor. It won't be that bad," he said with a small smile, "I mean, I actually hear it's good for your back, if you sleep on the floor," he added rather optimistically, his eyes roaming to the fire absentmindedly. He wished he could just sleep in the same bed as Vianna again...it would be so much more convenient, not to mention comfortable for him. But he knew this was a lost cause, and didn't bother bringing it up. OOC: For the next few days, I might be on a good deal less because of the holidays :( But, I\'ll be on whenever I can, and should be back full time by Monday ^_^ Just thought I\'d let you know before I like...disappeared more than I usually do. :lol: |
Vianna\'s forehead creased slightly as Ferris rejected the idea, telling her that he had heard it was better for your back to sleep on the floor, anyway. The girl watched him for a moment and then her brows furrowed disapprovingly. "That\'s really nice, but I\'d rather you summon a sleeping bag," she said, not so much as a suggestion anymore but rather as a demand. "Actually-- I\'ll get Vince to sleep with Victor, it\'s not fair one of \'em gets a whole bed to himself," said the girl, now sitting up and beginning to pull Ferris\'s arms off her frame. ooc: Lol awww, that\'s okay, I understand! ^_^ |
Ferris was about to respond to her demand that he conjure up a sleeping bag, when she then took it back, saying now that she would just get Vince and Victor to share a bed. His brown eyes widened, sure the two of them wouldn\'t be very appreciative of this, and their dirty glares wouldn\'t go to Vianna but himself. "N-No, Vi, I\'ll just conjure a sleeping bag!" he quickly said as she tried to get his arms off, which he quickly wrapped around her once more, pulling her back to him. |
Vianna turned to Ferris with a rather stern look and listened as he quickly opposed the idea, telling her that he\'d conjure a sleeping bag. The girl narrowed her eyes slightly at him. "Do you promise?" she asked him, pretty sure that the boy wouldn\'t really keep his word unless she made him promise it. Besides, she really didn\'t want him on the floor and felt terribly guilty her awful brothers were hogging up all the space selfishly. |
Ferris gave an innocent smile to her suspicious narrowed eyes, nodding and agreeing to her demand, "Yes, I promise," and in the next moment he had rolled over softly so she was laying on the floor beside him and his arms pulled her into his chest. "Now just stay here with me for a while, would you? You\'re trying to escape and I don\'t like it," he joked with a soft chuckle before placing a warm kiss to her forehead and then her cheek. |
Vianna\'s unfriendly features warmed as she smiled when Ferris made his promise, satisfying the girl\'s demand. She giggled as he then rolled over and she found herself on the floor beside him; her giggles only grew as he accused her of trying to escape and expressing his dislike for it. "What\'s this? You\'re kidnapping me again?" she asked him teasingly, her eyebrows raising playfully. |
"No....I\'m not kidnapping! I\'m keeping my favorite girl locked up beside me until she forces me to go away," he explained as though this made perfect sense. He grinned at her, his dimples in full view as his brown eyes scanned over her giggling features admiringly. "I hope you don\'t mind," Ferris added on to the end, watching as her eyebrows rose. |
Vianna chuckled softly as Ferris explained that what he was doing was not kidnapping and she smiled as he added that he hoped she wouldn\'t mind. "Of course I don\'t mind, silly," she told him before leaning over and placing a kiss on his cheek, her eyes sparkling as they examined his features, slightly dazed for a moment and not aware that she had probably been staring a bit too long. When she finally realized this, a few moments later, she looked away with a sheepish smile. |
Ferris\'s smile widened slightly as she leaned up to kiss his cheek, telling him that she didn\'t mind that he was keeping her. "Good," he said, though his grin slowly turned into a small smile as he noticed her staring, examining her expression that seemed almost....dazed? Well, that couldn\'t be right, what did she have to be dazed about? Then what was wrong? She didn\'t look as though there was anything wrong, but...she kept staring at him...Which, of course, he didn\'t mind, but still...She rarely stared at him for this long. That was his job. When Vianna finally looked away with a sheepish little smile, he gave her a curious look, "Okay, what\'s wrong?" he asked of her. |
Vianna turned back to Ferris with an innocent frown. "What\'re you talking about?" she asked, completely ignoring the fact that she had been acting like a complete weirdo just a minute ago. "I don\'t know what you\'re talking about," she added casually, as if Ferris was the crazy one for \'imagining\' things. |
Ferris raised his eyebrows at the girl\'s innocent confusion, obviously ignoring what had happened when she asked what he was talking about. "Oh, come on, you\'ve been staring at me!" he said with a light laugh, though utter confusion and actually slight worry was in his eyes staring at her with just a hint of amusement. "What\'s wrong? Did I do something?" he asked, wanting to know if it had been him that had caused this situation. He didn\'t know if her staring was good or bad, but he didn\'t understand it and that worried him. |
Vianna laughed lightly as Ferris accused her of staring at him, amused that the boy had caught her though it didn\'t surprise her, as she was well aware she had been rather obvious. But as he went on, asking if he had done something, the girl\'s amusement faded. "You\'ve done nothing wrong, Professor," she told him immediately, beginning to feel guilty for making him worry and panic when there was nothing to worry about. "I just..." But how was she supposed to explain that she had grown a sudden fascination with his face and liked to stare at it like a complete creep? "It\'s nothing, don\'t worry about it," she assured him with a smile, waving the matter off as unimportant. |
Ferris relaxed slightly as Vianna assured him that he hadn\'t done anything wrong, as his body tensed up slightly without meaning to whenever he was nervous or anxious about something. He gave her a small smile, glad to hear that it wasn\'t him that was making her act strangely, and patiently awaited a proper explanation for her staring. But as she quickly told him that it was nothing, and that he shouldn\'t worry about it, his eyebrows rose, a little surprised that she didn\'t want to tell him. What reason could she possibly have for staring that she didn\'t want to tell him? But now that Vianna had told him it wasn\'t him making her act strangely, he felt alright by making light of it and trying to tease it out of her. "C\'mon, tell me," he prodded with a small smile, placing a soft kiss to her cheek. |
Vianna\'s smile widened slightly as Ferris\'s lips met her cheek and he insisted that she told him the real reason for her new strange behaviour. "I told you already, it\'s nothing," the girl replied casually. "Anyway, since when are you so curious? That\'s my job," she added playfully, eager to switch the subject to something else that didn\'t relate to her new behaviour. |
Ferris gave her a mock face of disappointment as she once more told him it was nothing, then asking why he was so curious, as that had always been her job. He rose his eyebrows at this playfully, "Why\'s it only your job? Maybe I want to step in for a moment," he said with a soft chuckle, "Besides...I want to know," he added before leaning down slowly and placing a soft peck to Vianna\'s lips, breaking apart a moment later with a warm smile. "Tell me, please," he asked once more gently, honestly curious and amused by the girl. He couldn\'t think of any reason why she would want to stare at him, and if he didn\'t have anything on his face, he was completely stumped for an answer. Being someone who always liked to figure things out and learn new things, the boy was craving an answer. |
Vianna giggled as Ferris asked why it was only her job to be curious before then adding he wanted to step in for a moment. The girl\'s forehead creased slightly, though she continued smiling at him, growing guilty for making him curious and denying him a proper answer when he asked for one. She was momentarily distracted, though, as his lips met hers. She kissed him back for the short moment that it lasted and listened as he insisted that she told him. Vianna sighed and sat up slightly. She really didn\'t want to go through this, having to explain that something had turned her into a complete creep - exactly what it had been, though, she had no idea. Maybe that horned toad\'s breath had done something to her brain or something. "Do you really, really need to know?" she asked a bit hesitantly, biting at her bottom lip in a need to fidget or simply do something. ooc: I have to go now, Ruthers! :bye: I should be back in a couple hours. |
OOC: Me too! :lol: Bye Deee! Ferris watched as the girl sat up in his arms slightly, looking over at her with a small curious smile. He listened as she asked if he really, really needed to know, and his immediate reaction was to say yes as he was horribly curious. But he stopped himself, thinking for a moment...She obviously didn\'t want to tell him, but he was also really really close to getting her to spill whatever was on her mind. Vianna\'s happiness, or the secret...Vianna\'s happiness or the secret...It didn\'t take too long for the boy to answer as he thought of it that way and he let out a small sigh and smile, "N-No, I guess I don\'t." |
Vianna allowed her rosy lips to curve into a smile as Ferris answered her question, telling her that he didn\'t really need to know her \'secret\'. The young girl felt both grateful and relieved at this, and leaned over to place a kiss on his pale cheek. "I\'m glad. Because it really was nothing," she said to assure him that he wasn\'t missing out on anything and hopefully avoid future curiosity. She then returned her gaze to the fire and watched the flames dance absentmindedly, sparks flying all around them. |

Ferris, who still had a good deal of curiousity in his mind, was slightly comforted to know that his decision not to force her to speak made Vianna happy. He received his kiss on the cheek with a small smile, and gave a small nod as she assured him that it really was nothing, trying to push his curiousity to the back of his mind. The boy let out a small sigh and a smile as he rested back on the floor, pulling her a little closer to himself as he gazed at the fire. His hand absentmindedly stroked her side as he fell into his own thoughts, his eyes locked on the fire. |
