Vianna picked her broom from the ground - it was a miracle the poor thing could have survived all these years with Vianna's reckless flying - and beamed as Ferris told her he was alright. "Great!" she said, holding out a hand to take Ferris's and walking out to the wide, crowded sidewalks of the city which were lit brightly by the early morning light. The young girl's eyebrows rose at this, she had expected the place to be much emptier since it was still so early. But the people weren't going to or coming from shops, they were heading to work and school, and most of the shops were just beginning to open their doors to the public.

Vianna turned to Ferris as he spoke, asking her if she wanted to go to the same supply shop as last time and the young girl nodded her head. "Yeah, I think we should try checking there first," she said with a smile, quite eager to get started on their search for the ingredients so they could get to work on the potion and they wouldn't have to worry about Ferris having any more nightmares that night. She watched him for a moment, the smile still on her face. "Y'know, I don't think I had ever seen you wearing sunglasses before," she said absentmindedly.

Vianna giggled at Ferris's question and she shook her head. "No, they look nice. I like them," she replied with a smile, rather amused by how the boy immediately assumed the worst. For no real reason other than wanting to do so, Vianna then came to her toes and placed a kiss on his cheek, then pulling back with another smile. "I suggest we have another competition today," she said suddenly. "Whoever finds their ingredients first wins," she explained with a grin, confident that she would win. But how could she not win if she always cheated?

Vianna's eyebrows rose slightly as Ferris agreed to her suggestion without the slightest hesitation. "What's this? Are you not afraid, Professor? Are you not intimidated?" she asked with playful surprise in her large, crystal blue eyes. "You're competing against me - Vianna Vincenzi, the one who never loses a competition! I'm offended you wouldn't show a little fear or hesitation!" she went on dramatically, as if this really was a great offense, that someone as great a competitor (or as great a cheater) could not evoke any intimidation on the boy beside her.

Vianna's jaw dropped at Ferris's response, listening as the boy reminded her that she did actually lose a number of competitions, she just never liked to admit it. Her eyes squinted under the bright sunlight as the tall boy then came to tower over her, asking why he should ever be afraid of a 'shrimp' like his girlfriend. Vianna's eyes narrowed, not from the bright sunlight, but from mocking displeasure at the boy before her. "I am not a shrimp!" she told him sourly, merely glaring at the boy for a moment before her gaze dropped to the book in his free hand. She looked at it for a moment, quite still before then very unexpectedly snatching it in one quick motion. "You can't beat me if you don't know what ingredients we're looking for!" she told him with a grin before sprinting down the sidewalk and disappearing into the sea of people, quickly making her way into the large supply shop they had found the day before with a large, mischievous grin on her face.

Vianna was in one of the aisles to the left side of the shop, standing before shelves filled with endless rows of jars filled with all types of strange and disturbing potion ingredients. She wasn't looking through the jars, though, but had her gaze lowered to the book that lay open on one of her hands, flipping through it quickly in search of the page she had found the potion at the night before. Eventually, she was able to find it. Her eyes scanned the page quickly, searching for the list of ingredients. Once she found it, the girl ran down the aisle to look for an employee, someone she could ask where to find the ingredient at and cheat through win the first 'competition'. But just as she was making her way out of the aisle, she caught sight of Ferris. The young girl grinned to herself and made her way over to him, lightly tapping one of his shoulders as she came to a halt behind him. "Looking for someone?"

Vianna giggled lightly to herself as Ferris turned to her, quite pleased with herself at how she seemed to have the advantage on this competition. But her moment of glory didn't last long, as Ferris then very unexpectedly picked her up and flung her over his shoulder like a sack of potatoes. Vianna gave a shriek, completely caught off-guard and momentarily frightened as she had no idea what was going on or what in the world Ferris was plotting to do with her. But as he then began walking down one of the aisles of the store, as if nothing unusual was happening, Vianna's shock turned into a more accusatory mood. "Ferris Montgomery!" she called to him, too mad to call him by his usual nickname, "What do you think you're doing!? Put me down! I'm not a sack of potatoes you can just fling around like that!" she went on, giving a kick and looking away from the floor. She felt like she might fall face-first to it any second, and the thought of it absolutely terrified her.

Vianna turned her gaze to the shelves as they passed by, her eyes glaring and her brows furrowed disapprovingly. "Well then I really wish I was taller right about now!" she bitterly replied to the boy's words, though she actually did feel rather bad about having hit him. Had she been under normal circumstances, she would have apologized and asked if he was alright, but as she was right now, she couldn't bring herself to apologize, as bad as she felt. "I don't know where you think you're going anyway," she continued, "I've still got the book, so you have no idea what ingredients we're supposed to be looking for," she said, feeling the need to rub it in his face that she still had at least some type of advantage, her arms wrapped tightly around the heavy book. "Now put me down or I'll kick you again!" she threatened, though she really didn't have the heart to cause the boy any more pain, she hadn't even done it intentionally the first time and felt rather guilty about it.

And now it was Vianna's jaw that dropped as Ferris approached a nearby employee and asked about the ingredients for the Dreamless Sleep Potion, not without further teasing Vianna by calling her some cheesy names she completely disapproved of in a situation like this. The employee blinked, it wasn't everyday that he was approached by a guy carrying a girl over his shoulder like some type of merchandise. "Uh-- yeah, there's four things you'll need," he started before then listing them down for Ferris, "Four frozen ashwinder eggs, a pomegranate, two jobberknoll feathers, and powdered moonstone - though I'm afraid we don't offer that here," he said the last bit referring to the powdered moonstone, which was a bit more difficult to acquire.

Vianna had a sudden urge to take the heavy book in her arms and meet the back of Ferris's head with it, but avoided that temptation as best she could, knowing she wouldn't be able to forgive herself later on for doing that to him. However, it didn't change the fact that she was growing more and more uncomfortable with each passing second, especially with Ferris calling her some rather embarrassing names that made some of the people passing by giggle in amusement. "Oh I'm doing just terrible, thanks for asking," she replied sarcastically. "I hope you're having fun, 'cause as soon as I'm down, the first thing I'm doing is getting you back for this," she added sourly, glaring at the floor as they walked, as there wasn't really much else to look at.

Vianna's jaw dropped as she listened to the conversation Ferris was now holding with the store's innocent employee, who probably felt like he was under the watch of a secret camera in a television show where he was the unsuspecting victim. "Stop calling me that!" said Vianna as Ferris assured the employee that Vianna actually liked being called a shrimp. No longer feeling guilty about what she was about to do, the girl gave another kick. "And the next one's gonna be much lower, I promise!" she said soon after, glaring daggers at nothing specific since she couldn't really face Ferris at the moment.

Vianna gave a triumphant grin as Ferris finally set her down to her feet. She felt the blood leave her head, which made her a bit dizzy for a brief couple of seconds, but she was quick to get back to normal. The young girl was just about to go off on the boy before her when he suddenly gave a wince and bent over from the pain in his lower back. Vianna's eyes widened and all glory, mischief, and maliciousness left her features to be replaced by worry and concern instead. "Professor! Are you alright?!" she asked, though it didn't take a genius to figure out the boy was far from alright. Oh no... "Sit," she asked of him, momentarily forgetting that the only seat in the store was the floor. "I--I--Maybe-- Maybe there's something around here you can take-- or-- I'll go back to the inn and get your medicine, I'll only take a minute!"
