Tristan Darius Coleman.
T.D.C.

Tristan's brown eyes widened as he made the connection. This was it. This was his name, this was what T.D.C. stood for! With one hand still holding the small leather book, he searched through his pocket for the photograph of Lisette he'd found earlier. He pulled it out and quietly read the contents on the back of the photograph to himself. He was almost positive now, he'd taken that photograph, the handwriting on the back of it seemed to be the same as the handwriting on the book.

Now, back to the notebook. Why in the world did he write his full name on the first page of the book but never wrote anything else into the other pages? It confused him completely, but part of him felt like there was more to this book than just his name scribbled on the front page. He wasn't sure why he felt this way, but... he was almost positive something had been written on it, almost completely sure that he, himself, had written here before.

Then she saw the boy with brown eyes glance over in her direction (Gryffindol's charrie). She wondered if he was all right. But when she saw him, she had to look at her ring. The uneasy feeling.. came back.

After a moment of just staring at the blank pages of the book, Tristan placed Lisette's photograph somewhere in the middle, between the pages, and closed it. He glanced around the closet one more time before turning and heading back out to the hallway, where he found Lisette exchanging words with some of the other people in the room. He walked up to the girl with a small smile and asked, "Lis, will you come with me?" While holding the black book in one hand, he offered his free hand to the girl to help her up to her feet.

Her smile widened as he repeated the name back to her. She knew right then that it was her name. "It does, doesn't it?" she said, her smile now small but still genuine. She laughed when he said she'd still be Logic. "That's fine - I've grown fond of it."

Fair warning now: This is going to be a VERY long post. All of you see all of these, but I’ve labeled them with your names. This should give everyone lots to talk about until I get back. *evil*

I have also not replied to any of your plot questions in the last few posts. The reason for that is because you all seem to be completely mesmerized by the television and you tememporarily forget what you were just doing. *evil again* Here you are!

The television on one side of the room crackles to life very loudly before the image finally levels out on a scene with:
SPOILER!!: EmilyMalfoy
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...emories/13.png
She is standing in front of a crowd, all of whom are carrying picket signs that say things like, ‘No tolls for trolls’ and ‘No bars for centaurs’. She has just finished saying something rallying and the crowd throws up a cheer. She’s wearing a badge that says, SETMAC. EmilyMalfoy, you immediately remember that this stands for ‘Students for the Equal Treatment of Magical Allied Creatures.’

Suddenly, she is grabbed from behind by a man wearing strange robes and a badge. She breaks free and punches him square in the nose. The scene blurs and changes and the same girl is standing in a courtroom, looking defiantly at the judge. She’s wearing a SETMAC shirt.

“Sunshine Jack,” says the judge. “Are you aware that attacking an Auror is a serious offense?”

Sunshine remains completely silent.

During this scene, Lisette, Tristan and Sydney remember what an Auror is. The scene fades and changes.

SPOILER!!: Lindzers and princess of*hp*
The scene is now of two young girls crouched in an alley at night near a pub which appears to be closed.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...emories/12.png and http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...emories/15.png

[b] “There’s supposed to be a way in through the side door,” Sidney says. “It’s never locked. I bet we can get some firewhiskey and get back to school before anyone even misses us.”

“I don’t know, Syd,” says the other girl. “You think it’s worth it?”

"Shut up, June,” Sydney says. “Let’s go.”

The scene changes to the two girls being yelled at by a furious woman. “The two pair of you could have been expelled, d’you realize?” the woman asked rhetorically. “Sydney, I told you to look after your sister at Hogwarts. Not get her arrested. What could you have possibly been thinking? There’s nothing we can do, now. Well done, the pair of you. The infamous Dougal twins terrorizing pub owners!” she shrieks sarcastically.

The scene fades to black and changes.

SPOILER!!: Team ronmione
This scene makes you all look super confused. It seems more natural for Tristan, but he still doesn’t understand how two dozen people can be flying through the air on broomsticks. The TV focuses in on:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...emories/14.png
In the background, you can hear the announcer shouting over the crowd, “We’re neck and neck with the Harpies at 120 points and the Cannons at 130 points. It’s gotten to third hour, now, and everyone in the crowd is cheering on their Seekers. Oh! And Amelia Larabie of the Harpies spots the Golden Snitch. Look at her dive, folks. Teddie Jericho is hot on her heels, though.”

Jericho dives after a girl on a broomstick, almost straight down as they both close in on a tiny, golden ball… with wings?

The announcer continues, “Now, this is the prodigy they pulled out of Hogwarts to play on the national team, everyone. He’s catching up to her, now. The Lightning 800 outstripps her old Firebolt easily. But it doesn’t look like it’s going to be enough. Larabie’s reaching, reaching, reaching… OH!”

The announcer groans and it’s echoed by an entire stadium full of people. On the screen, Jericho rams the girl with his shoulder as they near the ground and she falls off, landing on the ground in a jumble of limbs while Jericho grabs the little, gold ball.

The scene fades to black and changes again.

SPOILER!!: Gryffindoll and Emms
This time, the television shows:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...Memories/3.png

He’s sitting by himself in the dark, folding over a diamond ring in his hands over and over again. He looks very sad as the light comes on and a tall, dark-haired boy with Tristan’s nose and chin walks into the room. Tristan hides the ring immediately. “You’re still here?” the older boy laughs cruelly. “By, God, Tristan, haven’t you figured out yet that the only person who could stand your presence is dead?”

The scene fades into the next. It’s autumn and the leaves are falling. Tristan is snapping photographs of:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...Memories/7.png
Lisette, who is laughing and spinning in circles.

“These are going to turn out very good,” Tristan tells her.

Lisette only stops spinning to ask, “Show me it again, Tristan? Please show me it?”

Tristan laughs and sets the camera aside to pull the ring out of his pocket. He shows it to her and she makes an excited noise in the back of her throat. “It’s so beautiful, Tristan. Who’s the lucky girl?” she teases.

He shrugs, embarrassed, and says, “Haven’t got one, yet.”

The scene cuts away again and now the two boys are outside. Tristan is being held against a brick wall by two bulky men. His lip is bloody and he has a cut above one eye.

“Where is it?” demands the older boy. “Where’s the ring? I know she gave it to you, so where is it?!”

Tristan, looking thoroughly defeated says, “I don’t know. I don’t know where she… I don’t know…”

Bryson punches Tristan, whose head snaps back against the brick wall behind him.

This scene fades away to Lisette, dressed in dark clothes, jogging down an alley. She pauses, pulls the ring from her pocket to check that it’s still there. She looks at it lustfully and it’s reflection in her eyes makes her look crazed. She grins wildly. With her gloved hands, she shoves it back into her pocket again and continues running.

The screen fades away yet again. When the television shows the next scene, you will all notice that you have seen it before.

SPOILER!!: phoenix_tears and samthehpfreak
In this scene, you again see:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...Memories/4.png
He’s holding what you’re now pretty sure is a wand and he’s screaming at a scared-looking girl, while point the wand at her. The scene pulls away from the two of them, however, and now you actually see that the wand is pointed at:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...Memories/1.png
This boy is standing next to the scared girl.

“I can’t believe you’re taking that junk!” Aiden shouts at the girl. “Both of you! What’s the matter with you guys! You know it’s dangerous. And you know what it’s made from. How is that worth it?”

The other boy shrugs and says, “Man, I just sell it. I don’t actually—“

“I’m not talking to you right now, Seth,” Aiden shouts, looking at the girl who now looks very ill indeed. “Em?” Aiden asks, looking concerned as he lowers his wand slightly. While he’s distracted, Seth tries to make a run for it, but Aiden Stupefies him and Seth falls to the ground, unconscious.

While this happens, the girl falls to her knees and throws up.

“Em?” Aiden says, worried. She falls over onto her side. “EM!” he shouts, dropping his wand and rushing over to her side.

Fade out. Fade in.

SPOILER!!: silver.bullet, Dee-Dee, and xiiWishiWasYours
You see three people in the next scene.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...Memories/2.png, http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...Memories/8.png, and http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...Memories/9.png

It’s night and they’re all crouched down in the darkness, grinning conspiratorially at each other.

“I really don’t think this is a good idea,” says Augie. “We’re going to get so busted. I just know it.”

“Aw, come on, Augie,” teases Beryl.

August,” the boy insists. “Only my mum calls me Augie. You know I hate it.”

Beryl rolls her eyes and says, “Don’t be a baby. This is going to be epic.”

The scene fades and the three of them are standing on a metal stand high above the ground. In front of them is a billboard with the portrait of a very stodgy-looking old bloke on it. His arms are crossed over his chest and he looks quite serious. Next to the picture, the billboard reads, “William Lechey for Prime Minister.”

Beryl takes out her wand and begin to cross out the name of the candidate with a black paint that seems to be coming from its tip. Charlotte starts in on the portrait, painting over William’s face. She looks over at August and hisses, “I can't get this all done by myself, and you’re the artist, Cadogan. Get on it.” Reluctantly, August begins to help paint over the candidate’s face.

The scene fades and comes back to the three of them with an almost completed billboard. The candidate’s face has been almost entirely replaced by the hindquarters of a horse and the new words that Beryl has painted on the billboard makes some of you blush. Suddenly, a light shines up at them and they freeze—deer in headlights style.

Fade in and out again.

SPOILER!!: city_girl95
This video is entirely uneventful. You see several clips from the life of an ordinary school girl.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...emories/10.png
She gets top marks, is quite popular, and eventually earns an internship at the Ministry of Magic. The entire time this is playing, the screen keeps fading in and out, as if through static. You all get the sense that the monitor is slightly… confused? In the final scene, however, you can see that her nametag reads Laryn W.

The scene cuts away again.

SPOILER!!: Gryffindorgurl
The next scene is very short and takes place in a courtroom similar to the one in which Sunshine had her trial. On the witness stand is: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...Memories/5.png
Jeffrey sits back in his seat, mouth set in a stern line as the judge begins to speak.

“Jeffrey Philbert,” the judge says in a loud voice. “You are being tried on the basis of the murder of one Jacob Sampson Philbert. How do you plead to this charge?”

Jeffrey, his expression without emotion looks out into the crowd and says one word, “Guilty.”

The court and jury gasp and start chattering immediately after this and the judge had to bang his gavel on his podium several times before he can maintain order. He looks over at Jeffrey who doesn’t meet his eyes and asks, “We’ve passed the negotiation stage. Pleading guilty now guarantees you the full punishment. What are you doing?”

“Telling the truth,” Jeffrey answers impassively.

One last time.

SPOILER!!: J-E-L-L-O
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...Memories/6.png
Sylvestre walks into a modest, one story house with an unkempt yard and a broken front gate. Three, small children between the ages of 6 and 10 run up to him and hug him around his knees crying, “Frère!” (Sylvestre, Lisette, and Charlotte know that this means ‘Brother’)

Then there are several other scenes that appear and go by rapidly. Sylvestre puts the three children to bed. He brings home just enough food for them not to go hungry. He sits at his mother’s gravesite and speaks to the headstone in French, tears in his eyes. He goes home again where the children have managed to get themselves covered in layers of mud. He bathes them, clothes them, and feeds them again. With each scene, he becomes more and more frustrated and depressed.

Then the scenes slow down and you see Sylvestre crouched in the kitchen with a can of something that he’s spreading all over the floor. The scene cuts away again and you see Sylvestre walking away from the same, humble home as before… except that it’s on fire. Wrapped in his cloak, Sylvestre Disapparates.

The screen goes black again and does not come back on. The room is filled with an eerie silence and no one is quite sure what to say.

P.S. I do have internet on my phone. I'll try to check in sometime this weekend, but I probably won't be able to until Sunday night at the earliest. :) Have fun!

city_girl_95 08-20-2010 08:58 PM

She looked up as the tv switched back and forth until, she gasped, was that her, yes it was, she recognised the red hair and blue eyes, and was that her life, hm it was utterly boring, compared to the others and her name, her name Laryn? Yes Laryn, she remembered, and that was a start and-and then it changed again, a new video, she turned to the boy in the video when it stopped, murder? she was shocked and stepped away from him, and it changed again, another video, another life, another story..that ended, with, tragedy? and then it was over, she waited for the lights to come up, but nothing, the wind whisteled outside as she stood, awkwardly leaning against the work top, she couldn't speak, she couldn't think, but things were starting to slot into place, she remembered her friends, the internship...all gone?. she sniffed, a break in the frosty silence, but didn't speak. She was sure she knew where she was, but it was like her brain wasn't making conections, like she was dead, none of these people were real, but strangely she felt she knew them, but shouldn't know them, she backed into a corner, far away from these people, who strangely, she feared.

samthehpfreak 08-20-2010 10:21 PM

Aiden watched the scene on the telly come on. This place was just weird, un-natural. The girl threw up? nasty. BUT WHAT THE HECK WAS GOING ON!!!! Who had that girl been? Why on earth was he shouting at them? And how on earth was on tape? waaaay too many questions. Now he was just plain weirded out.

Gryffindorgurl 08-20-2010 10:52 PM

Jeffery watched the television in horror as everyone's lives appeared on the screen. When he saw his face, however, his eyes widened as everything came back to him. He was charged with the murder of his brother, Jacob. He'd had a trial and he'd told the truth. He'd killed his brother... his brother. Jeffery put a hand on his forehead, slipping down the wall. He was a murderer? No, he couldn't have been. But, apparently, he was. He saw the girl who's video had been very short and uneventful step away from him. "Wait, I didn't. I..." What would everyone think of him now?

OOC: Sorry, just had to say that I KNEW IT! :shifty:

princess of*hp* 08-20-2010 11:02 PM

She shook her head, sad to not even know her own name. It was quite depressing. She almost felt like one of those stupid female characters from old folk tales who were lost and desperate and had to rely on others to get help in whatever situation they were in. She stepped back as a fridge appeared, letting the others do the investigating. She wasn't acting very brave at the moment, but maybe that was because everything was so new and strange. It was perplexing in an odd way.

However, she approached the television as things began to flash. What an odd name for such a contraption; she had heard the others speak of it as she had remained as quiet as a mouse. Suddenly, it looked like an extended scene from a picture was flashing across and she saw the girl and herself. Her jaw dropped as she stared at the screen, quite mesmerized.

After the scene faded to another, she looked off towards the wall, feeling quite shocked. So... her was name June? The woman on the screen had referred to her as so; it had to be true. They were sisters? They were twins?! The Dougal twins, it seemed. June Dougal: what a curious name. She turned back to the girl that the screen had referred to as Sidney and approached her hesitantly, biting her lower lip as she was unsure of what to say. "I..." She trailed off, avoiding Sidney's gaze, "I-I... I suppose we're siblings... no, sisters... twins, I mean." She wasn't sure of what to make of it all. From what the scene on that large box had showed, it seemed like Sidney was quite the commanding troublemaker and that June was the shy pushover of the two.

Gryffindorgurl 08-20-2010 11:06 PM

Jeffery looked at the girl who approached her apparent twin. Well, at least she found out she had a sister. He'd just found out he's a murderer. He still couldn't believe it. Why would he kill his own brother? It made him sick, and suddenly he didn't want to know why he did it. He sighed and looked down at his shoes, which was a very weird action to do in a sitting position. He knew everyone was going to start pummeling him with questions and accusations and fearful insults. Better start preparing himself now.

Team ronmione 08-20-2010 11:09 PM

Jericho looked around..."That was me.When I was younger, at least, is that what I looked like when I was younger? Am I still a player...What?"Jericho saw the place go fuzzy, or maybe was that his confused brain playing tricks on him."Anyone know what's that called?" Seems everyone in the room had suddenly forgotten what the sport was, or what they had seen, because they all shrugged their shoulders, and shook their heads.

city_girl_95 08-20-2010 11:10 PM

Laryn sunk down to the floor, she felt all woozy and faint and put her head on the floor, she shut her eyes and fell asleep, but there was no dream, just blackness

Charlotte frowned. "Odd... maybe it means you have to find something?" she offered. She wasn't good at this stuff, had she ever been? She couldn't remember. Then the television flashed on again and series of moments, tragic moments, faded into view, disappeared. One by one, it went... then she saw... herself...?

Charlotte froze in shock. That... that couldn't be her? Charlotte had been a bit of a brat? A rule breaker? What made her like that. She felt a bit dizzy looking at it and wondered if she would faint. Vandalism, that was what it was. And she had made someone else help her. She looked around frantically, hoping to catch the expressions on the other two's face... August was the boy and the girl named Beryl. What had she done? She felt a bit guilty now, that weird pit feeling in her stomach. That couldn't really be her... right?

LaFresita 08-20-2010 11:47 PM

What had she been doing a moment ago? Beryl couldn't remember, as she was completely entranced with what was playing across the television. With each scene, she became more and more engrossed. When it finally came to herself, Charlotte, and August, her features froze. As the scene progressed and finally came to the finished billboard, Beryl blushed at the words she had.... painted.... with that.... wand? She was still watching the other scenes, but she was also busy thinking about what she saw. When the TV went blank for the last time, she stared straight ahead. "I hate being right," she whispered before looking over at Charlotte, then August. She gulped and returned her gaze straight ahead once more.

Sylvestre smiled at her and opened his mouth to say something when the magic box turned on again, he watched as it went form scene to scene. He saw everyone go by, he looked at Iggy, Logic and Jeffery astounded. And then he saw his face he watched the scene unfurl, his eyes were wide, he stared at the box and then he began laughing hysterically eventually the laughter turned into sobs as he sank to the floor holding his head in his hands. He drew his knees toward him and cried, "What did I do," he said in between sobs as he leaned his head against the wall and was practically pulling his hair out, "how could I do that...what kind of person am I." He cried as the tears poured the faces of his siblings flashing before his eyes.

Gryffindorgurl 08-21-2010 12:08 AM

Jeffery looked up as Sylvestre as he started to bawl his eyes out. Poor bloke. At least he hadn't started crying yet, that would've been a major ego drop for Jeffery. Especially since everyone knew he was a... a murderer now.

Still, she couldn't just sit there. She had to do something. She moved over to him and gently put a hand on his knee. "Hey, she said softly. "It's alright. Everything's going to be okay." He looked at her and laughed cynically, "You were right about one thing though we have all done something bad some worse then others."

Sylvestre looked at her, his vision was blurred by the tears, "Thanks for trying to help Logic but I don't think I'll ever be okay, not with what I did and not with what I am," he said as he rubbed his eyes, "it'd be best if you distanced yourself from me seeing as everyone I have cared for in the past have died." He looked at her and laughed cynically, "You were right about one thing though we have all done something bad some worse then others."

Beryl shook her head. The more he mentioned it, the more she began thinking they were all just in Hell. "I'm not distancing myself.... from anyone in this room," she added a little louder at the end before looking around at all the horrified solemn faces and then back to Frenchie. "You're not that person anymore. None of us are. If that was really who we were, it wouldn't have mattered if we had our memories or not. We all would have been angry or upset enough to show that side," she insisted without looking from him.

Jeffery's eyes were wide as his memories started to return to him in flashes. His dad's death. His mom never coming home at night. His brother, the only one who took care of him. Hogwarts. His first girlfriend. Proposing to her. Finding her with Jacob. Jeffery's eyes closed, trying to block out the last memory that was sure to be next. Killing Jacob. He cried out in horror, gripping his head, wanting to forget everything. He wanted to be clueless again, to not know his name or his past. He didn't want these memories! What kind of a sick joke was this?! Jeffery stood up and punched the wall, yelling, "WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS? LET US OUT!" He punched the wall again, this time creating just the tiniest dent in the paper.

Sydney made an impulsive grab for the fruit before anyone else could, not giving the thought that it had appeared out of no where a second thought. She took both apples, sticking one in her pocket in case no other food appeared anytime soon and taking an eager bite from the other one. She wiped the juice off her lips with the back of her elbow, about to take another bite...

...When the strange machine the others were calling a television began to flicker and make strange noises. She drifted toward it curiously, trailing behind the girl with the picture. Sydney stared, wide-eyed, as people began to flash up on the screen once more. Her eyes only got wider and wider as each scene played out.

As her and the girl she was standing next to appeared on the screen, her interest peaked. If she took one more step toward the television her nose would touch it. She watched, not sure what to think of herself, as she made June her accomplice in "terrorizing the local pub owner". Four things and four things only registered in her mind:

1.) She was a criminal.
2.) She had a sister... a twin sister. And she was standing right next to her.
3.) She was a bad sister. One that didn't take care of her twin properly, apparently...
4.) She was a disappointment to her the older woman. Could it be her mother?

To be honest, number three bothered her most. It was one thing to screw up her own life, but she realized how awful it was that she chose to drag the other girl into trouble with her. Sydney found herself looking at June with a somewhat apologetic expression on her face, feeling rather guilty even though she didn't even remember the fiasco.

As she watched the rest of the scenes her expression changed from one of confusion and guilt to one of horror. She didn't know what to think. She didn't know what to say. She didn't know what to do. Sydney just stood there with her mouth open, gasping. She was in a room with more than one killer and quite a few criminals. For a second she wondered if this was some sort of punishment they were all receiving, but then she remembered the seemingly perfect girl, Laryn, the boy that had been stolen from and her sister. Surely they didn't deserve any sort of punishment?

She glanced up at June, a calculating look on her face. "I believe so." she concluded, holding her apple limply at her side. She wasn't hungry anymore. "I don't get this. I don't understand this at all!" she cried out in frustration. "Why would someone erase all of our memories and then remind us of only the bad ones? I don't deserve this. No one deserves this!" Sydney wiped an angry tear away from her eyes, not wanting to cry in front of anyone. She was no weak little girl that cried when she was scared. She was strong.

Sydney bit her lip, swallowing hard.

Beryl managed a small smile at Frenchie's words. And she actually chuckled at his question, leaning her head back against the wall. "Anything's possible," she said with another shrug. Then she sat upright once more as Jeffrey shouted. She frowned, unable to imagine how horrid he felt.

"Where were those new kids dropped when we heard the flapping sound and saw that really bright light?" He asked this to no one in particular, but with a little more force than was required to convince someone to answer. He started to feel the wall, searching for any nooks or bumps. There had to be something...
