In a continuation of Lupin Cottage Maxwell and Taylor return for Christmas break at Hogwarts and Jack's long lost mother comes looking for him only to find she's not quite welcome.

Tay sighed and looked out the window, thinking.

Elizabeth had cleaned the house until it was sparking clean. She, of course, wasnt mad just thought it would be nice for Jack to come home to an absolutely clean home. Alice and Lucas was at Henry's house being watched over so that Elizabeth could surprise Jack just because. She changed into an outfit which she hoped that he liked. She put on light makeup and put her dark curls into a half up half down hairdo. She went down to the front room so that she could greet Jack as soon as he stepped in, like she usually does.

Jack walked into the cottage, still in his ministry robes. He noted first thing that the house was spotless. His eyes found his wife and a smile instantly flashed across his face. "You look beautiful, my flower.." He said and wrapped his arms around her, planting a soft kiss on her lips.

Elizabeth smiled at him and wrapped her arms around him, smiling, "Thank you, dear. You look as handsome as ever." She kissed him back and looked into his eyes for a few seconds, "How is work, my love?"

"That is good that it is fine." She kissed his cheek and smiled, "I m happy to have you with me again as well." Elizabeth still had her arms around him. She chuckled, "Do I need a reason to try to look pretty for my loving husband?" She stroked his cheek gently and looked into his eyes. "I just wanted to do it for the heck of it. I love you and that is my reason. Once you get changed into something comfortable, I am taking you somewhere." She smiled at him, "Unless you have a problem with that, that is." She raised an eyebrow at him and laughed.

Jack laughed a little. "I think that's the best reason you could have.." He said and kissed the top of her head. "That sounds like an adventure dear...let me get changed and we can be off." He said smiling and waiting to be released so he could change.

Elizabeth smiled at what he said, "I absolutely again." Her smile brighten at the kiss on the top of her head. "Okay, sounds good." At that, she let go and stepped away from him, still smiling. "Lucas and Alice is at Henry's for the night so we dont have to worry about them." She glanced at the kitchen then back to him, "I will be in the kitchen." At that, she turned and left for that room so that he can head upstairs to change. Elizabeth flipped through the cookbook, planning the next day's dinner while waiting for her husband to get changed. She had a quill enchanted to write the shopping list as she muttered things that were needed for the next day's meal as well as a dessert, things that Alice and Lucas needed and some things for Taylor and Maxwell. She made a mental note to ask Jack if he needed anything for the next week when he comes back downstairs.

Jack headed up the stairs and got dressed. He was quick, his curiosity over his surprise was beating out all else..

He walked back down the steps smiling, instantly again seeing his wife. "I'm all ready!" He exclaimed, she knew him well enough to know that a mystery like a 'just because' surprise would be something he wouldn't calm down about until he knew.

Elizabeth glanced up from what she was doing and smiled. She gestured for the quill to stop so that she could reply to Jack. She chuckled at his energy. "You are quick as always for a surprise." She smiled at him, "But first, I need to finish this list before you find out what the three part surprise is." She gestured and smirked a little, "Do you need anything for the next week, dear?"

Jack thought for a moment. "No, i don't believe so...three parts? Brilliant...well i'm ready whenever you are." He said walking up behind her and wrapping his arms around her waist, resting his head on hers, gently.

Elizabeth smiled, "Okay, just wanting to make sure so that I didnt have to make a special trip back to the alley." She chuckled and nodded, "Yeah, three parts." Her smile brighten as she felt his arms around her waist and his head resting on hers. She loved how affectionate he was to her. She felt loved just by the simple things like that. Elizabeth used magic to fasten the list on the wall and to put away the quill so that she didnt have to leave his arms. She twirled in his arms so that she was facing him. She kissed him lightly and apperated them both to the first part. It wasnt Hawaii like she would of preferred but if she had picked Hawaii then she wouldnt of been able to do her idea. It was Cuba. She looked up at him to see his reaction.

Jack nodded to her speaking about going to the Alley. And smiled as she spun around in his arms, his heart picking up a bit, just seeing her face.

He kissed her back all the same, eyes closed and when he opened them he was on a beach, he wasn't sure where but it didn't matter much to him, he was with her. Anywhere was perfect. Jack smiled widely. "Elizabeth, this is amazing...where are we?" He asked still holding onto her.

Elizabeth smiled up at him, happy that he seemed to like it, "We are in Baracoa, Cuba. I would of done Hawaii but it didnt fit with the other parts." She laughed and kissed him lightly then lead him to the setup. "I am glad that you think this is amazing so far." She smiled at him.

Jack smiled. "Cuba...I should have seen it.." Had been there a few times before, with Millie. But never for a good reason, always an adventure of some sort. It was nice to create a good memory here.

Jack followed her up the steps. "It really is amazing so far, I'm excited for the rest.."

She used magic to open the basket, taking out the food so that they could eat whenever Jack wanted to. There was some wine in the basket in case he desired wine but there was firewhiskey as well as some nonalcoholic drinks also. She wrpped her arms around his neck and kissed him lightly, "I am glad you think that, my love."

Jack kissed her back. "You really are something, Elizabeth..." He said very happily. He looked at the food she brought and the drinks, she'd planned this, how long it took wasn't obvious to Jack but he knew it wasn't out of the blue. He loved that she would make such a loving gesture.

"Are you hungry?" He asked, he was a bit hungry but not starving so he was okay if she wasn't hungry. Either way he was just happy to be with her.

Elizabeth smiled and looked at him, "Is that good or bad?" She laughed and to his question replied, "We eat when you want to, my love. So if you are hungry then dig in." She, of course, thought he would probably be hungry since he did just get off work. It was why she used magic to unpack the things so that he could start as soon or as late as he wanted to.

Jack smiled. "It's a perfect thing, you are the greatest person i've ever met.." He said giving her the kinda hug the would lift her off the ground and result in him spinning her in the air.

He gestured for her to sit with him. "Well, let's eat then.." He said taking her hand. "I love you, Elizabeth.."

Elizabeth smiled and blushed at what he said, "Thank you, my love. You are the greatest person I've ever met as well." When he hugged and spun her, her head tilted back as her smile widen. Laughter came out and once her feet hit the ground, she kissed him lightly then sat down as he gestured. "Okay." She let him take her hand, "I love you too, Jack." She beamed at him and glanced into his eyes.

Jack smiled. "I'm so thankful for you, and the life we have..." He said happy that for once in their lives all seemed at peace, there was no one coming after them or their children. For now they could relax. "So, what have we got to eat?" he asked wondering what she'd brought.

"I am thankful for you and our life together as well." She smiled at him and pulled him closer, gently. "Well we have escargo, hamburgers, pulled bbq pork, hotdogs, salad, steak, baked potatoes, pizza, spaghetti, fettuccine Alfredo... and I think that is it... I didnt know what you would want so I made a variety." Elizabeth laughed and looked at him, stroking his cheek. She didnt mention any type of dessert... this location had no dessert.

Just hearing those words made cooking all day worth it. She beamed at him, "Glad to hear it. Anytime, my love." Elizabeth took a little of escargo since she didnt really like Americanish food and she wasnt too hungry so she didnt want to risk upsetting her stomach with Italian as well. "Would you like something to drink, my dear?"

Jack smiled, he would have pretested to her not eating enough but without Alice in her belly he couldn't convince her otherwise and he knew it. "Yes, please...everything is delicious by the way.." He said with a crooked smile.

Elizabeth smiled at him, "What would you like? There is wine, firewhiskey, pop, tea, coffee, milk and pumpkin juice. I am glad that you think all is delicious." She saw the crooked smile, "Hmmm anything special with that crooked smile?" She laughed.
