Something strange is going on in Hogwarts. The magical staircases have malfunctioned. Whenever a student steps off the stairs, they end up somewhere in the future! Because of this, Dumbledore has decided to close the school until he can rectify the situation.

Rose, Lily, Hugo, James, and Albus end up staying behind, because their parents are away working and can’t come back. A few other students are in the same predicament. Dumbledore has told them to stay on the lower levels of the castle, and to avoid the stairs at all costs. However, the students get bored and decide to go on a little adventure.

This RP follows their adventures through the future, but what happens if they can’t get back, or if they even want to go back?

Rose threw a look at Hugo. "Don't get smart, it doesn't suit you. I just thought you'd be writing to Mum immediately begging her to come home so you could leave school. I'll write to her after dinner."

Turning her attention back to her book, but was distracted by Hugo's exclamation of exploring the castle. A small feeling of dread found its way to her stomach when he said that. It could've been the goody-two shoes in her, but something told her, that Hugo and Lily shouldn't go upstairs.

Rose put her book down, and swiftly donned her fluffy boots, complimenting her jeans and long cardigan. She made her way over and ruffled Hugo's hair once more. "You two are plotting something. Spill, or I go to the teachers." She announced, chucking them a quick grin before looking to the others. "Hi, I'm Rose, Hugo's sister." She introduced herself.

"Oh, hi! My names Hugh! Nice to meet you Rose." Hugh smiled and winked. He usually over-did the charm. He then looked up at Leena and said, "Sounds like a fantastic plan! I'm going to check the Marble Staircase if anyone else wants to come?" Hugh grinned and rubbed his hands together, this was getting good.

Leena turned to Hugh "All the teachers are in their office. I went out earlier and the whole place was deserted." Leena said to him.

Hugo was still grining when Rose came over. As she ruffled his hair, he ducked underneath her hand and scowled at her. Why did she always have to come and interupt their fun? That wasn't right. "Well," he started, before being interupted by Leena.

Woah, Woah, Woah. How did the teachers manage to get upstairs, when they weren't allowed. "Hang on! If the teachers are upstairs, in their offices, then surley we can't be in any danger!" Hugos grin was back as he made his way to the entrance. "May...be...May...be I'll just go and speak to them." With that, he bounded away up the dungeon stairs.

What was her problem.She thought she was having fun just messing around and maybe flirting a little with him?

Maybe not..

She could see his face appear in her vision.He'd bent down to look at her.She looked to the side to face him."Im so sorry.."she said in a low voice."I was only messing around.."she said sighing.She looked at him."I should learn to hold my tongue.."she said to him,with a half smile.

She heard someone say something about exploring the castle.She looked up and frowned."Lets go.."she said to Stefen,taking his hand and pulling him over to the group of them crowded round."Hugo?"she said,"Whats going on? Where are we going?"she said,looking at Lily and Rose too.

Oh noeees, he was going to be left alone. Eugh, that meant he was going to have to tag alone. Eeeep. Because if he was left there and the teachers came looking.. Ooooooh, then noone would know that he was going to be torturesd by them He was going, he was. He was, but he didnt want to. He looked up and saw Issy and Stefen heading towards teh group. He shot up and was soon the other side of her and gave her a light smile.

"Im not being left behind at all."

Stefan really felt terrible for making Issy feel so bad. Oh well he would make it up to her later, he just had to figure out how. There was no use bringing it up again now, he had already told her not to feel bad. All that she needed now was a little convincing.

He had been watching as poor Jack had been getting tormented by the rest of the group. Sure he had done that earlier, but that was just him. It was a package deal. He actually felt sorry for the boy since most of the girls were ganging up on him now.

The next thing he knew Issy had taken his hand and was leading him towards the rest of the group. What was this? Socalizing? Oh Merlin. He still couldn't get over the fact thogh that he still felt bad for making her feel guilty. She still had hold of his hand and he gave it a small squeeze. Nothing to extravagant, but noticable. Then he looked at her as if to say, 'I told you it was alright'. Maybe that would make her feel better.

Then Jack was at her other side. As he made the comment about not getting left he gave him a nod. It wasn't a smile, but it was his way of saying that he was glad that he was coming so those girls would quit. Whether or not Jack realized that this was what he meant was a different story.

Issy heard another voice as everyone had started to pile forward out of the common room.It was Leena.Did she said what she thought she heard her say? No,she couldnt have? But they wernt allowed."Leena.."she said,but she'd followed the boys.She didnt know what to do,should she follow the group or stay,and not risk getting into trouble.

But then she felt a small squeeze in her left hand.That wad that Stefen was holding. It wasnt a hard squeeze or a 'let me go squeze' it was a soft but comforting squeeze.She looked down at there hands and then up to his eyes for a moment.

To some onlooker,she could have been staring at him."You want to follow them?"she asked him,with a small smile on her soft face.

Jack adjusted his hat quickly and looked as everyone made a dash out of the door. He smiled at Stefan lightly as he noticed he had nodded , what that meant in Jacks world was a hello, but it more than likely wasnt. Because Jack interpreted things weirdly ALOT of the time.

He looked at Issy slightly as she spoke to Stefan, and awaited his answer, because if they were staying. He was.

Lily laughed as her cousin and new friends raced out of the room. She grinned in the direction of her two older brothers, loving that they didn't seem to be stopping her. She winked towards the group that was left wondering whether to go or not and then raced after her friends. "Wait up!" She called as she chased after them.

Stefan watched as Issy's eyes met his. They just stood there for a minute, he never broke the gaze. But then she asked if he wanted to go or not. A small smirk came across his lips. She wasn't sure if she wanted to go or not because they might get in trouble. So she was a goody goody after all.

He gave her a shrug. He actually didn't care either way. "Do I want to get out of here? Sure" He told her. "Do I want to go parading around the castle with the Potters, I actually think I'll pass" He had surprised himself for letting himself actually get somewhat comfortable around someone else. But he wasn't pushing it.

THen he noticed Jack was waiting to see what he would say. The poor fellow, those girls had tramatized him.

Issy couldnt help but get the feeling of something there.Something had changed in the boy in front of her,but she didn know what had changed.She couldnt put her finger on it.Something had definately changed,that look in his eye had gone.Completely.

She smiled a little.And then shook her head,and took his hand and squeezed it tighter."Well in that case,Im making you come.."she said to him."I want you to come.."she said,smiling a little.

She pulled his arm so he was a little tiny bit closer to her.She then looked at Jack and held out her hand."Come on you.."she said,grinning a little

Stefan watched Isabelle. Well she sure was determined wasn't she. Oh great she wanted him to come spend quality best friend forever time with the Potters. Joy. But then again they had made a deal earlier and she was breaking the rules.

"Fine, only because we had a bargain, and I never break my side of it" He had that tough guy essence back again. But then he let her pull him closer to her. Well this day was just full of surprises wasn't it.

Then she motioned for Jack to come along. He had felt sorry for the boy earlier, but now that he was coming with the two of them. Well it would be interesting. Stefan wasn't very tollerant of anyone, but he would try. Maybe.

Issy looked at Stefen and laughed."You could look a little happy to go on a little adventure.."she said,shrugging,"It beats being sat in here right?"she said,shrugging.She looked at him for a moment longer.

She laughed at his expression when she pulled him closer to her.He looked a little shocked to say the least.Then again she didnt really mean for them to be that close.They were pretty close.She could smell whatever it was he was wearing and it was quite nice."Dont look so frightened.."she said,laughing a little.

She looked at Jack,and then back at Stefen and his expression told her everything."Be nice.."she said to him in a hard voice.

"What are you talking about? I'm just peachy" He told her with an over dramatic smile. When all else failed you could always turn to scarcasim. He was happy to get out, he just didn't want to follow the whole children of the famous Potter Trio around. That was understandable right?

Great, he had let his guard down for just a minute and now she was able to read him. That was just prefect. BUt the one thing that he noticed was that she didn't pull away. Issy was a brave girl. "Your joking" He said with no emotion. Him frightened? of her, Well now she was a commedian too.

She had also noticed what he was thinking about Jack. "I am" He told her. He hadn't said anything. If he wanted to get rude or ugly he would say something. He had kept quiet this time. Therefore he was being nice.

Leena didnt wait for an answer from Isabelle. But she did stop midway to the top of the stairs and looked back at Lily. When Lily was up where Leena was, she began running again.

Jack frowned a little bit when Stefan said he didnt want to go, but it wasnt a big enough frown to be noticed. He was going to be happy, very happy and excited. Excited was good, if you didnt get bored first.

Issy was going to make him come. Hah-di-hah-di-hah-di-haaaa. Jack gave a light smile and grabbed Issy's hand as she held it out for him to take and he nodded, "I was coming."

Issy looked at him,and he looked a little panicked,but not overly panicked."I dont joke.."she said to him,with a grin.She smiled a little.She knew there was a softy inside of him somewhere..it was just finding the softy that was the problem.She smiled at him."Dont worry..Ill protect you.."she said,slightly whispering,and giggled.

She looked at Jack."Good buddy.."she said,squeezing his hand."Lets go.."she said,turning away and pulling the two lads towards her.

So was she saying that they weren't following the Potter crew. Well that was a plus. A smile almost crossed his face, but it didn't, when he thought about what the three of them looked like. You had the dark and mysterious bad boy. The bubbly happy optimistic good girl. And the good sweet innocent boy. Well that was a gang.

He didn't doubt her when Issy said that she didn't joke. He didn't doubt that one bit. But then when she said that she would protext him. He knew that she was only joking but he didn't like it. He didn't need protecting, he was the one that should be protecting her. But he wanted to try something. He pulled away from her taken a step back and letting go of her hand. He wanted to see what she would do when he acted like he was upset.

As she started to leave with Jack he followed. No matter what he wasn't breaking his promise.

Issy looked at him for a moment.She saw him easy up.She wondered what they were going to do.They didnt exactly know eachother very well,so what were they going to talk about.This made her feel a little awkward.But she carried on walking out towards the door.

But when Stefen pulled away,and stopped and turned around.She looked at him for a moment,she could see something was bothering him."Whats wrong?"she asked him,walking up to him again ,and stopping just infront of him."Whats up"she asked,studying his face.

Well she noticed that something was wrong. But he was not going to tell her. THat would just be idiotic. But he gave her a mischievious grin. "Oh nothing" He told her. He then motioned for her to continue walking, still grinning. Well this was fun. Actually nothing was really wrong. He had gotten over it, but he had lost part of his reputation with her and he needed to get it back.

Jack smiled at her softly and with his spare hand he moved a couple of the curls out of the way of his eyes. He needed a hair cut BADLY! He gave her hand a light squeeze back and got ready to follow the already gone, group.

Aha! They were going. He smiled softly as they left the door, and the dungeon behind and felt like skipping, but felt it better no too considering those girls would start again.

Alas, his happiness was no more when Stefan decided to stop. He released Issys hand and pivoted on the balls of his feet and watched as she stepped towards Stefan. "Yeah whats wrong?" He muttered, barely audible.

Nothing? Nothing? Oh this boy was really winding Jack up now, was there a chance he was going to stop and let them go or was he going to keep coming up with excuses to slow them down, they had more than likely lost the rest of them because he had decided to stop. Eugh.

When Hugh was finally at the top of the staircase and out of breath, he looked back to see everyone else coming up the stairs. "Wow, I thought some people were going to stay behind!" He said to Leena, grinning. He waited for everyone to come up before saying, "Where do you guys think we should check first? Which staircases?" He looked at everyone, waiting for an answer.
