Background:
Since the dawn of time, there have been two species that have taken domain of the earth; those who are mortal and those who are immortal. Mortals quickly became separated into two distinct groups: those with magical abilities and those without. The mortals decided early on that separating the two would be best and the knowledge of magic quickly disappeared from the Muggle mind. While immortals could be broken several groups they decided to stay as one Clan, Clan Coventry. After much debate they decided that the best way to rule Coventry was to create the Council of Seven. Seven of the most powerful and prominent houses were chosen to serve on the Council and one would be chosen to rule as King or Queen.
The House of Gray Cloud was then established as the King Regent as they were the most powerful elementals in Coventry. As legend goes the first King Regent was a powerful man named Ambrose who fell in love with a mortal. Aradia was her name and she was a princess in her own right. Three days before their marriage she was murdered by a mortal suitor who had been spurned by Aradia. Heartbroken and furious, Ambrose swore that he would never let that hurt befall his people, so he brought into being the Cardinal Law. It states that no immortal may fall in love with a mortal, or the accused will face a lifetime of imprisonment and the poor retched soul who was the object of said love would die a most horrible death. The House of Gray Cloud has since upheld this Law and does so with an iron fist.
Plot:
Willow Austin is extremely happy that this will be the last time she has to spend the summer at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. It was tradition for members of the Clan to attend Oden’s Ford from the time they turn 11 till they reach 17, that’s the year they are declared an adult. Another tradition, imposed upon her race by the Lady Gaia herself, was that each child of The Clan must spend each summer until the end of school at the mortal magical school of Hogwarts. She hadn’t thought it was bad in the beginning. She found that mortal children were no different from Clan children when you took the magical abilities and immortality away. She herself was heir to the House of the Gray Cloud, one of the most powerful and prominent elemental families in all of Clan Coventry. She found that she liked her friends at Hogwarts and couldn’t understand the prejudice that other members of the Clan carried. However, her opinions had fast changed near the end of last summer.
Her best friend, a mortal wizard named Marik Grey, had decided that their friendship simply wasn’t enough anymore. He wanted to take their relationship to the next level. Furious and scared Willow refused without offering an explanation. Angry and hurt, the two fought it out and Willow left, leaving their friendship in shambles.
Marik can’t understand it. He knows there is love there. It’s in her smile and the way she moves. It’s in everything she does. Her refusal had cut him deep but he’s determined to find out what it is that’s keeping her from him. He had written to her every week for the entire year and he hadn’t gotten one letter back. It’s not going to deter him though. She can’t hide forever. She’s coming back onto his turf and he isn’t letting her go without finding out why she can’t love him.
Ash Redfern, a NightDweller or vampire as the more crude term goes, is heir to the throne of his own House. The great House of Aerie has always been at the pinnacle of society in Clan Coventry and Ash has a reputation to uphold. Over the years he has tolerated his Willow’s friendships with the mortals but this is the last year he will have to endure it. He has his eyes set on a grand alliance between their two Great Houses and nothing is going to stand in his way. That is until he meets the incorrigible Ms. Tabitha Baker, a newly transferred Hogwarts (mortal) witch that both infuriates and intrigues him.
Clan Coventry:
Clan Coventry is the society of immortals that exist in our world. There are three broad species that encompass Clan Coventry.
NightDwellers: creatures of the night that feed on the blood of animals (vampires)
Elementals: creatures of the elements, able to manipulate one element that runs in their bloodline
Shape-shifters: creatures that can alter their shape according to their bloodlines
Clan Coventry is a very large country that exists in secret, though the knowledge that they exist is gifted to those of magical decent among the mortals. Every bloodline has a house and a blooded descendant that will take over as the Head of House. Houses can either descend through the male or female side of the line, though some simply descend through either, choosing the oldest in the family line.
Okay so this is my third RP and as always there was a bit of a lengthy explanation. This plot will require two things: one, there will be three groups of people and the groups need to be as even as possible or at least even between mortals and immortals and second, there needs to be an even number of girls and boys. Everyone will be in pairs. If you and someone else wants to pair up please PM me and let me know. If you don’t find a partner I’ll partner you up with someone. If you come up with an idea for another member of Coventry that isn’t listed please PM for confirmation before posting.
Rules:
1. Be creative and make your characters believable and real. No one is perfect!
2. No God Moding!
3. Please make long posts! I can’t stand one or two liners!
4. Stay active. If you are going to be absent let me know.
5. If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to PM me.
6. Have Fun!

SPOILER!!: Willow
Sasha Willow Austin
Nickname: Willow (Prefers this name) Age: 16 DoB: June 20 PoB: Whispering Isles Province; Castle Cloud Heritage: Heir to House Gray Cloud Race: Immortal; Water Elemental
Parents: Father: King Regent Wayde Austin; Water Elemental
Mother: Lady Kya Bayar Austin; Shifter (falcon) Sibling(s): Sister: Sky Bayar (14); Shifter (falcon)
Brother: Gavin Bayar (15); Shifter (Hawk)
Background: Willow was born at Castle Cloud in the Whispering Isles Province, a flourishing land located on at the southern most point of Coventry. Having shown her Elemental abilities at a young age, her father wanted to stake her claim on the Rulership. Her mother Kya Bayar, was hesitant to allow her daughter to take that path. In the entire history of Clan Coventry their have only been two other female rulers and she didn’t want that life for her little girl. However, Kya had no choice in the matter after she gave birth to two shifters. Therefore, she accepted her daughters fate and her two youngest took her maiden name as is tradition.
Willow’s father Wayde was ecstatic and began her training at an early age. On her 10th Nameday he proclaimed her Princess Heir and started her instruction. Wayde took his daughter everywhere and taught her all the ways of the Court and Council. As King, Wayde values the Law, diplomacy, and dedication to the Clan. As a father, Wayde drills into his daughter the ways of trade, combat, and of people in general. Her mother had a small hand in her teaching, as Willow must learn the ways of a proper lady.
In the eyes of the public, the Royal family is the picture of perfection, behind closed doors is a totally different story. Before she turned 10, Wayde paid all of his children equal attention and was the best father he could be. After Willow turned 10 that all changed. Wayde often had business outside of Whispering Isle and always took Willow with him. As a result, it always seemed, in the eyes of Sky and Gavin, that Willow was the favored one. Therefore, they often team up against Willow and exclude her in everything they do. Kya tries hard to keep her family at peace but there isn’t much she can do. Willow is Princess Heir which is one of the most isolated and lonely paths any Immortal could possibly take.
In his entire Rule, King Wade has had to imprison 10 Immortals for breaking the Cardinal Law. Willow has looked on with pity and dismay as the 10 were sentenced to 100 years in the Brig and the humans that they fell in love with were killed before them. Willow thus far has been the only heir that has witnessed this event, as the other families felt it was too soon to expose their children to.
Personality: Willow is a level-headed, observant, methodical individual. Due to how she was raised she has come to rely on her instincts and her senses. She exudes power and sophistication and also wields it without pause or conscious thought. True to her heritage she has a strong sense of self control though even she has her limits. When pushed her ire knows no bounds and is swift and fierce. Willow does have a softer side, one of which few have ever witnessed. She has a great capacity for love and tenderness.
She does have a sense of humor and loves to laugh. Her friends and family mean more to her then anything in the world. To those she considers her friends; she is honest and trustworthy and exhibits a sense of humor. To her acquaintances, she is tolerant and patient and very forgiving. To all others she is indifferent and aloof. The only other thing that means as much is her freewill and her ability to choose her own path. She doesn’t get to choose her own way very often though. Willow does have a stubborn streak and can be extremely obstinate and argumentative. Beware of her temper…it takes a while for her temper to flare but when it does look out. Once her temper and anger get going there are very few people who know how to bring her back down.

SPOILER!!: Dozer
Dozer Flint
Age: 17 Year: 6 House: Slytherin Heritage: Pure Strongest Subject: Transfiguration, DADA Weakest Subject: Magical Creatures Hair: Dirty Blonde Eyes: Brown Height: 6’2’’ Body Build: Lean muscled, polo team build Parents: Henry and Olivia Flint Siblings: Cassandra Flint (6)
History: Dozer comes from a hard working wizarding family. His mother is a well known potioneer, who works freelance and is starting her own business. While his father works for the ministry as a liaison to the Irish, Bulgarian, and Muggle Ministries. Henry hopes to one day be made Minister himself and has high hopes that his son will follow in his footsteps. Dozer enjoys politics quite a bit; however he aspires of becoming the next big Quidditch Chaser. His father doesn’t quite see the allure of an athletic future and is hoping to steer his wayward son away from such endeavors. Their family travels in the highest of social circles and attends all of the high end shindigs. Little Cassandra enjoys life as the baby. The Flint family gets along well or about as well as any family gets along these days.
Personality: Dozer isn’t your typical bad boy, though for many that is all he seems to be. Reserved and quiet, for the most part, he prefers to keep a certain mysterious air to his actions and thoughts. He tends to attract many girls with his good looks and easy charm, but he aims to find someone who can keep pace with him. Dozer loves a good challenge and is always looking for his next big project. Quidditch is a big deal in his life and that won’t change any time soon. While he projects that he doesn’t really care about anything or anyone, if you mess with his friends things will get ugly. Dozer doesn’t get jealous (at least he won’t admit it) and he does have a bit of a temper, when you burn down his exceptionally long fuse.
Tabitha had lost track of time flying through the air. After she noticed that Dozer and Marik were talking she had ignored them and just went on havibg a great time flying on her own. She did not even notice her freinds motioning for her to land. It was not until the sun started fo descend that she remembered visitors were arriving at dinner and she was certain she was late. She quickly landed and and headed right for the hall. Once she entered it she saw the new guests but she thought it best just to find her freinds. She scanned the hall for Marik and Dozer. Once she spotted them she uickly walked over and sat down by them and said, "Hey guys, did I miss anything important?".
Dozer smiled every bit the cunning and sly Slytherin he was reputed to be. "Give me five minutes and I'll have it set up." With the he disappeared out of the hall. Taking the stairs two at a time he rounded on the fifth floor and found the room he was looking for. Making sure that the locks still worked he was satisfied. Exiting the room he rounded the far corner and set up his diversion. Grinning at his handiwork he made his way back down to the Great Hall and slipped back into his seat.
"All set. Now we just wait for them to get up and leave."
Marik watched his mate leave the hall. Busying himself with the food in front of him he tried to not shoot too many glances in Willow's direction. Marik was glad that he was going to get to talk to her face to face but inside he was nervous and unsure what Willow would say. Could they be more than friends? Why had she not returned his letters and just stormed out on him. Marik shook his head and started to dig in to the food on his plate. As Dozer slipped back into his seat Marik grinned "Thanks, mate! I owe you one if all goes well. I'm hope I'll get through Miss Austin's queen shell after the feast."

Marik had been about to turn back to his food plate when Tabitha finally made her appearance in the great hall. As she sat down he offered to our her some pumpkin juice saying "Hey, Tabi! You haven't missed much. Just how Willow turned me down in front of her kinsmen." at the last words Marik made a slight grimace. Taking a bite of his food he added "So where have you been up til now? You missed the headmasters speech."

You missed the headmasters speech."
Tabitha poured herself some pumpkin juice as she listened to what she missed and was asked for an explanation of where she been. She put down the pumpkin juice and responded, "I've been flying all this time. Lost track of time I love flying so much. Anyway, awe, Willow did that. Thats horrible. But it will be okay Marik. She'll come around I'm sure. And I missed the speech, eeeeep. I guess I'm kind of lucky I was not caught flying past hours", Tabitha ended kind of sheepishly.
Willow picked at her dinner for well over half an hour conversing with those around her. Elena and Ash remained by her side and were ever the supportive friends. She stayed resolute in her quest to not look at Marik and she had been successful so far. The Headmaster had already given his speech and it was nearly the same as last year. He had said to embrace the differences in our two peoples and to forge friendships that would last forever.
She hadn't been able to contain the snort of derision that had escaped as he said that. Willow was skeptical about that particular point. Headmaster Tobins no doubt knew about the Cardinal Law and the inevitability that anyone from Oden's Ford would ever talk to any of these people ever again. While the snort had been quiet the Headmaster had seemed to look straight at her with a knowing look for he then made a comment about not accepting things as they were but challenging them to change for the better.
What a load of rubbish that was. The Cardinal Law had been around since the dawn of Coventry and would never be abolished or changed. Neither would the punishment for break that law. Willow shuddered as the faces of the previously executed came to her mind. Shoving those images and similar thoughts from her mind she looked over at Elena.
"I'm stuffed. How about we retire to the Common Room?" She looked over at Ash to insure that he knew the invitation was meant for him as well. There was a Common Room and dorms set up specifically for Oden's Ford students. It was on the fifth floor behind the statue of a large wolf upon who you must produce the password in order to enter. The password was always in the language of Coventry that way no wayward students of Hogwarts could enter.
Rising, Willow waited to see if she would have company. It was only polite to wait and see before getting up and leaving. Several of her peers nodded their dismissal and she in turn gave them one as well. The custom of the Court still well in tact so far from home. Sighing, Willow felt a pang of homesickness.
Dozer scarfed down food like a starving man, though he pretty much ate like that all the time. He made sure to keep an eye on the trio at the Oden's Ford table. He was sure that at any moment the three would get up to leave. His main focus was Willow but he couldn't keep his eyes from straying to the lovely Elena. She was a sight for sore eyes that was for sure.
Finally, he caught movement and watched as Willow stood and waited for someone to accompany her. He smirked at the customs that they had to follow but dismissed the need to scoff. They had bigger fish to fry. Dozer nudged Marik and nodded toward Willow.
"Come on and stay low so they don't see us leaving. We have to get in front of them." With that he ducked down below the lines of students and all but slithered out of the Hall. He mounted the Grand Staircase at a lope and in no time at all was in the Fifth floor corridor standing in front of the classroom he had set up. He waited for Marik because it was for him that this plan was set. He was probably going to get a good lashing from both Willow and Elena but his best mate was worth it.
He was particularly worried about Ash. The Vampire was always watching his temper, always the diplomat. His smile turned mocking. Yeah he could handle a passive aggressive vampire, it was the girls he was both dreading and anticipating. Shaking his head he looked down the hall for Marik. What was taking the guy so long?
‘Embrace the differences in our two people and forge friendships that will last forever.’ While Willow scoffed for this part of the yearly speech (and with good reason), Elena’s first reaction was a quick glance down and then a short while of staring at her hands. She had never been expected while at Hogwarts to be anything but friendly; never to actually make these mortals her friends, much less friends that she would keep after her years at Hogwarts. But after meeting Dozer, it was as though she couldn’t help but befriend him and annoyingly often she felt the small desire to keep the friendship intact over the summers and even after she graduated. Though, at the same time she felt that she couldn’t—that even mere friendship was odd, out of place, not allowed…
Quickly, her attention was back up at her friend and she rolled her eyes as though it were a slightly late response to the headmaster’s speech.
Everything after was perfectly fine. The food, as always, was delectable and they all conversed about various topics: everything from summer events to Elena’s fear of and disgust with birds. During the few pauses in conversation, she caught her eyes wandering to a certain individual at the Slytherin table, though only once accidently catching his eye. Not at all embarrassed, she would merely give a soft smile then return to her food. She didn’t actually eat as much as she normally would after a long train ride, probably because of the candy, but she ate enough of the carb foods to hope for the time for a nighttime run.
“Sounds great,” Elena answered her friend as the night came to an end. She really couldn’t eat anymore. As she stood she flicked a glance at Marik and Dozer, who at the time were still there, then joined Willow, smoothing out the skirt of her black dress. She never noticed the two boys slip out. Her focus was more on Willow and Zuri, who was still chatting excitedly with a couple girls from Oden’s Ford.
Marik sat in between Dozer and Tabitha during the remainder of the feast. He ate like someone who hadn’t seen food in a long time. In between bites he conversed with his friends about this and that. Every now and again his gaze drifted off towards the Oden’s ford table where Willow was still holding court so to speak with the other heirs and heiresses.
He had just finished the last off his delicious ice cream dessert when he felt Dozer’s slight nudge in the side. Glancing up he too saw that Willow and the others were getting ready to leave the great hall. All right it was time to get moving and hopefully when the night was over Marik would know why the love of his life had abandoned him that night many months with unanswered questions.
Following Dozer’s example Marik ducked low and made his way out of the great hall but only after giving Tabitha a quick apology and assurance that they would see her later. After that he slithered almost as a ghost out of the hall and up the grand stair case. When he finally came to the Fifth floor classroom where Dozer was standing Marik was panting slightly. Nodding towards the classroom he asked “Is it in there that I will meet Willow alone?”
Dozer nodded. "The door locks from the inside," he handed Marik the key. "Stand on the other side of the door and once she's inside lock the two of you in. I'll take care of Elena and Ash as long as I can so you better make the time count. I don't think Elena can do anything to get in the door but I'm not taking any chances on that."
Willow looked at Elena and gave her best friend a smile. "You don't have to leave if you don't want to, I'm just tired and ready for some peace and quiet." With that she turned and walked out of the Hall resolutely keeping her eyes away from the Slytherin table. With haggard steps she made her way up to the Fifth Floor.
"Here she comes mate. Get Ready!" Dozer whispered and shoved his best mate toward the room. Once he was sure Marik was inside he backed up a few paces and made like he was just coming from the other end of the corridor. Sure enough Willow and Elena rounded the corner and he couldn't help the smile that spread across his face. "Ladies. Good Evening."
Willow looked up with a guarded expression. Usually where Dozer was Marik wasn't far behind. Turning her head this way and that she made sure that the Ravenclaw was no where to be found. Then she returned her attention to Dozer. "Good Evening Dozer." Her eyes narrowed in suspicion, his smile was far too wide for her liking. "We were headed to our common room to retire for the evening."
Dozer kept the grin on his face from getting wider. Willow had suspicion written all over her face. "That's good. Well Marik would be happy to say good night he should be here any moment he was right behind me." Hooking his thumb over his shoulder he indicated the direction the girls were headed in.
Eyes widening with panic Willow cast around for an alternative. She really didn't want to deal with him again tonight. She looked at Elena helplessly but knew there was nothing her friend could do short of making her invisible. Her mind working feverishly she spotted a door on her left and a small plan began to form. Pointing at it she looked at Dozer. "This classroom is empty yes?"
Dozer felt a surge of triumph. "Oh. Your avoiding him. I got it. Yes. That classroom is empty. I'll give you the signal once he passes. In the mean time me and Elena can catch up." He gave her a cocky smile while opening the door for Willow to enter. She fell for it hook line and sink her.
Willow gave Dozer an appreciative look and ducked into the dark classroom. The desks were lined up neatly row by row and posters adorned the wall. Dozer would make sure to tell her when the coast was clear so, Willow found a particular poster on the far wall interesting and went to study it closer.
Dozer nodded. "The door locks from the inside," he handed Marik the key. "Stand on the other side of the door and once she's inside lock the two of you in. Taking the key Marik listened as Dozer explained the plan. It was simple but with Ash lurking around who knows where no plan was ever full proof. Hearing Dozer's whisper minutes later he quickly slipped into the empty classroom. Hiding behind the door he heard how Willow and Elena came up to the fifth floor.
It was nice to hear how easy Dozer lured Willow into the classroom with the intention of hiding her from him when it was just the opposite. A small smile pursed his lips but it dissapeared just as quickly. Marik didn't like that he had had to resort sneakyness and Slytherin ways just to get some time alone with the girl of his dreams.
When Willow was safely inside the classroom and admiring a big poster on the far wall Marik put the key into the lock and turned it around. The clicking sound the lock made when it closed was his queue. Slipping the key into his darkblue robe pocket he slowly walked up to stand beside her to look at the poster saying quietly "I never really liked the Montrose Magpies after they switched keepers. They are not as good now as they were before."
Willow jumped at the sound of his voice. How did he get in here? She turned quickly, walked to the door and turned the knob only to find it locked. A cynical, grin came to her face as she thought of the fact that she had been duped. A small chuckle escaped her lips as she turned back around to face the one person in the world she did not want to talk to.
She slowly paced to the far side of the room away from Marik and leaned back against one of the desk. Crossing her arms over her chest she looked at him. "Let me guess. Dozer's plan? I have to say the execution of it was good."
Her eyes never left his face. She couldn't be mad at him...not yet anyway. She could be annoyed him however. Thunder flashed outside the window in direct comparison to her ire. Being locked anywhere didn't set well with her.
"So...what do you want Marik?"
The moment the two girls saw Dozer, Elena felt the suspicion burning in her eyes. “Dozer, what are—“ she began, then cut herself off. With a brow raised she never took her eyes off of him as she listened to what he had to say. Dozer was a schemer and a mighty good one at that. While she enjoyed being part of a good scheme, he knew that she hated to be at the end of one. What was he even doing on the fifth floor? And Marik? They couldn’t honestly think that Willow would like a goodnight from him. Didn’t they make that clear earlier?
She remained silent until he suggested that she, Elena, stay and “catch up” with him while Willow head into the classroom. Quickly, she opened her mouth to protest but only really got out: “Eh, I—“ before Willow answered thankfully, clearly thinking it a good idea. “But,” she tried to tell her friend, but the girl had already headed in without her and shut the door.
She then made a turn back to Dozer. “Whatever your scheme is, Dozer Flint, it’s not going to work. And don’t even act like that’s not exactly what this is,” she warned, before rolling her burgundy eyes and starting for the door. She fully intended to join Willow, not wishing to leave her side. It was still their first day back… However, mere moments before she put her hand on the knob, she heard a small click. Her eyes widened and her hand reached frantically.
Locked.
Lena gave a frustrated scream, kicking the door then spun around towards her supposed Hogwarts friend. Her temper was clearly setting in. She had always been known to be quite the hot head. Soon, her hands were out and she shoved him, angrily. For being such a fragile looking female, she sure had a good amount of strength. She could never take Dozer though. At least with muscle power… Fire though..? Absolutely. It was just itching to break loose through her skin, whether that be meant for him or the door. Thankfully, she had been working a good deal on not letting her temper get the better of her gift… Plus, she didn’t think she could really hurt him. She could never allow herself, no matter how upset she was.
“He’s in there, isn’t he?” she asked, her eyes blazing.
Dozer couldn't help the amused smile that came over his face at Elena's little tantrum. He knew she had powers just like Willow but he had yet to see what exactly they were. His eyes scanned the halls again to make sure Ash hadn't shown up yet. Elena he could handle but he wasn't sure he could handle both Elena and Ash. Besides, the guy had a tendency to look at Willow as if he owned her.
Dozer's smile widened as Elena posed her question although she managed to make it sound more like a threat. Putting his hands in his pockets, his grin turned lopsided. "Well, Willow didn't really give me much choice. Marik needed to talk to her so I did what any best mate would do and made it happen."
Shrugging, he gave her his best charming grin. "Have I mentioned that you look especially lovely when your mad?"
Elena's eyes narrowed in response to his last statement and the heat (well warmth to her) of fire covered her right hand. With a quick flick of her wrist the flame was in a ball and headed straight for his head. Well... so it appeared... It hit the wall behind him, mere inches away, leaving a black charred mark on the stone. Again, she couldn't really hurt Dozer.
She hadn't even thought in the current moment that this was the first time he had seen her gift. Her mind was now on getting Willow out. If the door was not protected at all, she could burn right through it. "Assuming I can get in the door, you won't have gotten to 'save him'." She said, her eyes studying the wood. Turning to him once again, she added, "And Marik doesn't need to talk to her. He's better off if he doesn't... You wouldn't understand."
The fire ball hit close to his head making his eyes widen slightly. He didn't move however. He had seen her hand get covered with flames and then the ball form. He had always known she had fire, he just didn't know it was literal. At her last statement his expression turned critical. There was something about the way she had said it that gave him pause.
He wouldn't understand what? His eyes followed hers as she studied the wood of the door. He wouldn't put it past her to burn it down to get to Willow. Dozer side stepped in front of the door blocking her way through. "I'm not exactly thick. Why don't you explain to me why? I think Marik deserves some answers."
Elena's eyes followed Dozer as he deliberately stepped in her way. She didn't make a move, knowing full well that sprinting dorkily to the door wasn't going to do a thing. Her jaw clenched for a moment before telling him, "Dozer, move." It was a command said with a hint of warning to it, but she could practically feel her temper cooling and with it a slight bit of her determination. "Please.." she added after a short glance to the floor. Her eyes now, though, were completely trained on his, studying his lovely features as though searching for a good answer.
Stepping closer to him she said, "I didn't say that you were. I mean, you duped me and my best friend for goodness sake," a small smile slipped across her lips. "But no... What he deserves is merely to move on and find someone he can be with." The slight emphasis made in her statement, she quickly regretted. "If Willow decides she wishes to grace him with answers as to why, that is her business. It's not for me to tell. Please understand that."
Her command was impressive but he could tell there was give in her voice. She might try and act tough she couldn't bring herself to take him. Her smile made his breath catch. But it was what she said next that really got his attention.
Dozer could tell by her expression that she regretted using the choice of words that she had. "What do you mean someone he can be with? Why can't he be with Willow?" It wasn't just that he was trying to find answers for Marik, who knew what those two were talking about in that room or if he was even getting through to her, but Marik and Willows relationship kinda ran alongside his own and Elena's.
Though they hadn't really gotten as close as Marik and Willow once were, Dozer still held feelings for Elena. He didn't like expressing them but they were there. And he got the feeling that whatever reason would prevent Marik and Willow from being together would count for himself and Elena too. Though, if he was perfectly honest with himself he couldn't understand why it was suddenly so important for him to know.
It was annoying how well he caught things. Well, technically most other days she wouldn't mind; only the days where he caught her mistakes. "That's not.. it's not what I meant by that." Elena Nightwing was a God awful liar and she knew it too. Not only did it drip from her voice, but it was something in her eyes plus struggling keeping the gaze. She couldn't believe that she even tried. She may as well have just flat out said what she meant by it.
"Please, Dozer, just move out of the way," she asked once again, this time averting his gaze, as though doing so would keep her from having to give some sort of answer. She actually wondered if this was something she would have to decide whether to explain to him one day. What if she followed in Willow's steps? As hard as she may try and as hard as the Cardinal Rule may try, there was no denying what the heart wanted. Would she tell him if that situation ever did come? Probably. Maybe? But not now...
"Sorry love, can't do that. Let's give them another five minutes shall we." Dozer's hands stayed in his pockets and on the outward he remained relaxed but inside he tensed. She was fully capable of getting through the door but he hoped that she would see that this was for the best.
Something in her tone and in her expression told him that whatever it was that was keeping Elena and Willow so distant was serious. Dozer couldn't help but feel apprehensive and hope that Marik was doing okay. "What's going on Elena? What aren't you telling me?" He hadn't exactly expected to blurt that out but now that it was out he was happy that it was out.
Irritation crossed Elena's features, back to staring him down confidently. After a momentary pause she crossed her arms over her stomach and sighed. This wasn't at all for the better, but Willow was a big girl. If she decided to tell Marik the truth, she would do so and if not she would either find a way out herself or she would make some sort of sign audible through the door that it was time for Elena to push passed Dozer. 'Pushing past' more likely meaning aiming fire anywhere he was not or going 'full body,' so to speak.
"Fine." Not distancing herself any further from him she plopped herself down on the floor then looked up at him. "If you won't move then I will just get comfortable until you do."
Dozer seemed to be catching on to far more than she liked. Why did Willow's break with Marik have to affect her and Dozer? For goodness sake, they weren't even an 'item'. "I'm not hiding anything!" She retorted stubbornly. Another awful lie. "My God, why can't you just accept that it is not for me to say. Just wait until Marik comes out, at least!"
Dozer looked astonished as Elena propped herself down on the ground. He could clearly see that this was upsetting her. He threw up his hand in the universal sign of surrender or at least a sign to calm down. "Okay, okay. Calm down there love."
He sank down on the floor opposite her resting his back against the door. "I'm sorry if I upset you. I'm just trying to understand for everyone's sake." He could have made it just about Marik and Willow but it wasn't just about them.
Elena felt a tingling warmth in her stomach like is talked about in the movies or romantic novels just with his use of 'everyone'. She couldn't put a clear finger on why this was. Really, she should be worried out of her mind for what was to come. She should have been already planning to cut off all connection to keep from hurting him like Willow had hurt Marik. There were a lot of things that she should have been doing at the very suggestion in his statement that said they would be together, but she did not even protest or question. "I would have done the same..." is what she softly stated. "Though I probably would have been more of a brat about it," she teased, allowing the same smile from before to light up her face.
Though, really now, it was true.
Moving her legs out of a much less ladylike position and into Indian style, she smoothed out her dress so that nothing too scandalous could be seen then placed her hands in her lap as though ready to listen to a long story. These are the moments she was glad to not have the council members as parents. Her father didn't care much about how she sat unless.. well she wasn't going there. "So, for the sake of catching up and therefore being at least semi honest tonight, tell me about Quidditch." By this she meant whatever Quidditch stories and improvement she had missed while at Oden's Ford. She KNEW this to be a topic dear to him.
It was pitifull that it had come to the fact only his voice made her jump. Marik watched as Willow made a break for the locked door. He didn't like locking her in anywhere, but it was neccesary. As Willo took up her place with her arms crossed over her chest and the annoyed look in her eyes he only thought of how lovely she looked right then and there.
"Yes, It was Dozer's plan. I'll give him due credit for it later." He said smiling slightly. Marik wasn't oblivious to the thunder that was roaring outside the window. He just ignored it for the time being. It just showed how Willow felt.
"What I want????" He almost laughed at the irony of her asking him. As if she didn't already know. "I want my best friend back Willow. I want my friend back who i swim in the lake with, study with under an oak tree, eat late snacks in the kitchen with and share adventures." As he said that his eyes never left her face. He wanted other answers too but Marik knew that pushing Willow too strong and too fast would just blow up on him.
For anyone who didn't already know, Azura was quite the social butterfly and showing that off rather nicely. Well, at least when she wasn't stressed about something. The time would come for that, it always did for Zuri. The two that she had been chatting with headed off to bed, but due to the candy from before she simply wasn't ready to call it a night. With her wide blue eyes she looked around for someone new to talk to.
Dozer chuckled. Well, she was straight forward and he loved it. He gave her a cocky grin. "Bratty? I think I could handle you at your brattyest." As she got comfortable he decided to as well. Stretching out his long legs in front of him he drew on up and hooked his arms around them.
"The Holyhead harpies won the World Cup this year. I made a record of one hundred goals in a single game and wound up playing as a beater for the first time in my life. That was interesting. Good way to let out some frustration."
Willow shook her head as he explained what he wanted. Why did he have to make this harder then it already was? Why did guess have to make everything so difficult? They both knew that wasn't all he wanted. She just wasn't in to playing this game right now. Sighing, she looked at him with a mixture of annoyance and frustration.
"We both know that isn't all you want and I'm afraid that what your asking for I can't give. This is far more complicated then what you think, just let it go. Let me go."
By her tone she hoped to implore him to do what she asked. For both their sakes Willow seriously hoped that he would heed her words and back off. For good.
Elena couldn't help the laugh that escaped her. Though, she almost didn't doubt it. He hardly flinched at her fireball and found her temper to be amusing! "Well, I'm sure even my mom would like to see that." She paused, then added with a grin, "And following any sign of success she would bow and hail you as a god. Not that you would succeed, or at least you wouldn't like the process."
Holyhead Harpies... She recognized the name, most likely having come from Dozer. He was the only one that she enjoyed talking to about such a sport, especially considering the passion he has for it and the joy he has while playing. But she couldn't remember what he thought of the team. "The Holyheads... Was it a good win or were you rooting for their opponents?"
One.Hundred.Goals. She didn't know a whole lot about Quidditch, but in any other sport that was a hell of a lot of goals.
"Wait is that a joke? You really hit one hundred goals? One hundred." The fact that she was incredibly impressed was not only in her tone, but all across her face. So, if that was in any way the intent, he succeeded.

His older sisters have tried ever since he was born to try to change the succession order to the throne but King Edward have been and is still relentless. His son is going to be the next King to the throne. Kayleen, Rosanna and Alicia all hide an envy and anger towards their younger brother that is eating away at their lives. It is not good to hold grudges and its beginng to show because neither of them have boyfreinds or courters.
Lady Julianna hasn't really understood that giving presents and gifts doesn't equal giving love. So growing up Nikolai was shamelessly spoiled but not loved. His father only takes time to see him when his duties call for it otherwise King Edward only reads about his son in reports. Having been denied the love and attention he has craved for most of his life Nikolai has become a very shelled boy.
Nikolai is a guy who likes to keep himself to himself. He doesn't really bond well with other people. He has a big shell around him that hides quite a sensitive, loyal and trusthworthy guy who really isn't sure where he fits in and hides that behind an air of "I'm better than you". Nikolai has created his shell and whole image because that is what he thinks he should be like. Nikolai likes girls, but he believes that most of them only try to get to know him better because he represents danger, mystery wealth and power. To be an heir to the fire elemental throne isn't all roses which he has learned the hard way.
Eyes: Dark blue Hair: Short brown hair Complexion: pale, slightly tanned Height: 5'9 Build: Athletic Picture:
Nikolai sat at the Oden's ford table enjoying the last bits of his dessert. Having arrived late to Hogwarts he hadn't felt the need to barge into the ongoing conversation between Ash, Elena and Willow. Nikolai had therefore chosen a seat at the far end of the table where he could eat without getting too disturbed with chatter. He had a pretty good guess what they were discussing anyway considering the fact that Marik Grey and Dozer Flint had briefly visited the table. Nikolai knew too well how the cardinal rule of Coventry worked and how the kings felt about immortal/mortal bonds. Drinking the last of his pumpkin juice up he saw Elena and Willow leave for bed while Ash and Azura lingered behind. Azura the lovely blond with a passion for sweets.

Marik sighed as Willow once again said she couldn't give him what he wanted. Feeling the frustration and hurt bubbling in his chest he asked "Complicated? Complicated how? Why can't you and I be together Willow?" He wanted to go over and hug her right then and there but knew he couldn't and instead said meaning every word "I love you Willow Austin. I'm not letting you go or us go..I just can't!" Marik let his gaze drop to the floor fearing that she'd start yelling at him or break something.
