Background:
Since the dawn of time, there have been two species that have taken domain of the earth; those who are mortal and those who are immortal. Mortals quickly became separated into two distinct groups: those with magical abilities and those without. The mortals decided early on that separating the two would be best and the knowledge of magic quickly disappeared from the Muggle mind. While immortals could be broken several groups they decided to stay as one Clan, Clan Coventry. After much debate they decided that the best way to rule Coventry was to create the Council of Seven. Seven of the most powerful and prominent houses were chosen to serve on the Council and one would be chosen to rule as King or Queen.
The House of Gray Cloud was then established as the King Regent as they were the most powerful elementals in Coventry. As legend goes the first King Regent was a powerful man named Ambrose who fell in love with a mortal. Aradia was her name and she was a princess in her own right. Three days before their marriage she was murdered by a mortal suitor who had been spurned by Aradia. Heartbroken and furious, Ambrose swore that he would never let that hurt befall his people, so he brought into being the Cardinal Law. It states that no immortal may fall in love with a mortal, or the accused will face a lifetime of imprisonment and the poor retched soul who was the object of said love would die a most horrible death. The House of Gray Cloud has since upheld this Law and does so with an iron fist.
Plot:
Willow Austin is extremely happy that this will be the last time she has to spend the summer at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. It was tradition for members of the Clan to attend Oden’s Ford from the time they turn 11 till they reach 17, that’s the year they are declared an adult. Another tradition, imposed upon her race by the Lady Gaia herself, was that each child of The Clan must spend each summer until the end of school at the mortal magical school of Hogwarts. She hadn’t thought it was bad in the beginning. She found that mortal children were no different from Clan children when you took the magical abilities and immortality away. She herself was heir to the House of the Gray Cloud, one of the most powerful and prominent elemental families in all of Clan Coventry. She found that she liked her friends at Hogwarts and couldn’t understand the prejudice that other members of the Clan carried. However, her opinions had fast changed near the end of last summer.
Her best friend, a mortal wizard named Marik Grey, had decided that their friendship simply wasn’t enough anymore. He wanted to take their relationship to the next level. Furious and scared Willow refused without offering an explanation. Angry and hurt, the two fought it out and Willow left, leaving their friendship in shambles.
Marik can’t understand it. He knows there is love there. It’s in her smile and the way she moves. It’s in everything she does. Her refusal had cut him deep but he’s determined to find out what it is that’s keeping her from him. He had written to her every week for the entire year and he hadn’t gotten one letter back. It’s not going to deter him though. She can’t hide forever. She’s coming back onto his turf and he isn’t letting her go without finding out why she can’t love him.
Ash Redfern, a NightDweller or vampire as the more crude term goes, is heir to the throne of his own House. The great House of Aerie has always been at the pinnacle of society in Clan Coventry and Ash has a reputation to uphold. Over the years he has tolerated his Willow’s friendships with the mortals but this is the last year he will have to endure it. He has his eyes set on a grand alliance between their two Great Houses and nothing is going to stand in his way. That is until he meets the incorrigible Ms. Tabitha Baker, a newly transferred Hogwarts (mortal) witch that both infuriates and intrigues him.
Clan Coventry:
Clan Coventry is the society of immortals that exist in our world. There are three broad species that encompass Clan Coventry.
NightDwellers: creatures of the night that feed on the blood of animals (vampires)
Elementals: creatures of the elements, able to manipulate one element that runs in their bloodline
Shape-shifters: creatures that can alter their shape according to their bloodlines
Clan Coventry is a very large country that exists in secret, though the knowledge that they exist is gifted to those of magical decent among the mortals. Every bloodline has a house and a blooded descendant that will take over as the Head of House. Houses can either descend through the male or female side of the line, though some simply descend through either, choosing the oldest in the family line.
Okay so this is my third RP and as always there was a bit of a lengthy explanation. This plot will require two things: one, there will be three groups of people and the groups need to be as even as possible or at least even between mortals and immortals and second, there needs to be an even number of girls and boys. Everyone will be in pairs. If you and someone else wants to pair up please PM me and let me know. If you don’t find a partner I’ll partner you up with someone. If you come up with an idea for another member of Coventry that isn’t listed please PM for confirmation before posting.

Background: Willow was born at Castle Cloud in the Whispering Isles Province, a flourishing land located on at the southern most point of Coventry. Having shown her Elemental abilities at a young age, her father wanted to stake her claim on the Rulership. Her mother Kya Bayar, was hesitant to allow her daughter to take that path. In the entire history of Clan Coventry their have only been two other female rulers and she didn’t want that life for her little girl. However, Kya had no choice in the matter after she gave birth to two shifters. Therefore, she accepted her daughters fate and her two youngest took her maiden name as is tradition.
Willow’s father Wayde was ecstatic and began her training at an early age. On her 10th Nameday he proclaimed her Princess Heir and started her instruction. Wayde took his daughter everywhere and taught her all the ways of the Court and Council. As King, Wayde values the Law, diplomacy, and dedication to the Clan. As a father, Wayde drills into his daughter the ways of trade, combat, and of people in general. Her mother had a small hand in her teaching, as Willow must learn the ways of a proper lady.
In the eyes of the public, the Royal family is the picture of perfection, behind closed doors is a totally different story. Before she turned 10, Wayde paid all of his children equal attention and was the best father he could be. After Willow turned 10 that all changed. Wayde often had business outside of Whispering Isle and always took Willow with him. As a result, it always seemed, in the eyes of Sky and Gavin, that Willow was the favored one. Therefore, they often team up against Willow and exclude her in everything they do. Kya tries hard to keep her family at peace but there isn’t much she can do. Willow is Princess Heir which is one of the most isolated and lonely paths any Immortal could possibly take.
In his entire Rule, King Wade has had to imprison 10 Immortals for breaking the Cardinal Law. Willow has looked on with pity and dismay as the 10 were sentenced to 100 years in the Brig and the humans that they fell in love with were killed before them. Willow thus far has been the only heir that has witnessed this event, as the other families felt it was too soon to expose their children to.
Personality: Willow is a level-headed, observant, methodical individual. Due to how she was raised she has come to rely on her instincts and her senses. She exudes power and sophistication and also wields it without pause or conscious thought. True to her heritage she has a strong sense of self control though even she has her limits. When pushed her ire knows no bounds and is swift and fierce. Willow does have a softer side, one of which few have ever witnessed. She has a great capacity for love and tenderness.
She does have a sense of humor and loves to laugh. Her friends and family mean more to her then anything in the world. To those she considers her friends; she is honest and trustworthy and exhibits a sense of humor. To her acquaintances, she is tolerant and patient and very forgiving. To all others she is indifferent and aloof. The only other thing that means as much is her freewill and her ability to choose her own path. She doesn’t get to choose her own way very often though. Willow does have a stubborn streak and can be extremely obstinate and argumentative. Beware of her temper…it takes a while for her temper to flare but when it does look out. Once her temper and anger get going there are very few people who know how to bring her back down.

History: Dozer comes from a hard working wizarding family. His mother is a well known potioneer, who works freelance and is starting her own business. While his father works for the ministry as a liaison to the Irish, Bulgarian, and Muggle Ministries. Henry hopes to one day be made Minister himself and has high hopes that his son will follow in his footsteps. Dozer enjoys politics quite a bit; however he aspires of becoming the next big Quidditch Chaser. His father doesn’t quite see the allure of an athletic future and is hoping to steer his wayward son away from such endeavors. Their family travels in the highest of social circles and attends all of the high end shindigs. Little Cassandra enjoys life as the baby. The Flint family gets along well or about as well as any family gets along these days.
Personality: Dozer isn’t your typical bad boy, though for many that is all he seems to be. Reserved and quiet, for the most part, he prefers to keep a certain mysterious air to his actions and thoughts. He tends to attract many girls with his good looks and easy charm, but he aims to find someone who can keep pace with him. Dozer loves a good challenge and is always looking for his next big project. Quidditch is a big deal in his life and that won’t change any time soon. While he projects that he doesn’t really care about anything or anyone, if you mess with his friends things will get ugly. Dozer doesn’t get jealous (at least he won’t admit it) and he does have a bit of a temper, when you burn down his exceptionally long fuse.

History:
The Redfern Family is considered the most socalistic family in Coventry. The two things that mean most in life to them are appearence and power. This is not a recent belief either. It has been the thoughts of the Redferns since they first took the throne in the House of Aerie.
Unlike the normal sterotype of vampires, the Night Dwellers are not created or made. They are simply born Night Dwellers. Now yes they still feed on blood but they are born that way.
As has always been favored by King Stark. Ever since he was a young boy the King has started to raise him to take over the throne. To the Redferns males are thought of as the dominant gender.
Even though Ash has always been the Kings favorite that is not to say that he doesn't love and care for his sisters. He has made it his responsibility to look out for them, especially since his father doesn't think as much for them as he does for Ash. That does not mean that Ash does not have the same beliefs as the rest of his family. He still views males as more dominant, but he also knows that females have rights as well.
King Stark has raised Ash so that he will be the perfect King of the House of Aerie. He has had be utmost training in schooling, etiquet, and most importantly, combat. He knows how to be ruthless when it comes to things such as the punishments for anyone who breaks the law, especially the Cardinal Law.
Ash has been taught to not think too much of mortals. Yes he tollerates them, but he think that they are no more than to benefit his amusement. Yes he has to be around them often, for he must live off of blood, but that is all that he thinks of them as.
Ash Redfern was born at a time of alliance. For years there has been a need to unite the House of Aerie and House Gray Cloud. King Stark and Queen Thalia have been trying to come up with a way to do so. Finally they found their answer.
Ever since the age when Ash was finally able to understand love and marrige, Queen Thalia has been leading him towards the thouhgt of marring Willow Austin, the House Gray Cloud heir. Ash understands about the needs for an alliance and has taken up his parents ways of thinking. They way of uniting the two houses is to take Willows hand in marrige. Now all he has to do is get her to accept.
Personality:
Ash first appears as a gentleman, just has he has been brought up to be. To many he comes off as flirty. When it comes to immortals he keeps up that personality to be liked by many and make a good impression. To mortals he keeps it up so that he can easily get the blood that he needs to survive.
Once you get to know Ash though he seems very calm and tollerant. But once he starts to lose it all tollerance is gone. But even when he gets highly upset he still keeps his calm stature. To many that is one of the most unsettling things about him. Very rarely does he ever get a temper, but when he does the only advice that I can give is to beware.
He is also extremely loyal. Not much can come between Ash's ties to the Redfern Family, The House of Aerie, or conventry. He is not one to disobey his father, but at the same time Ash has a mind of his own. He is a very determined person. Once he gets something he wants in sight he is willing to do anything or step over anyone (in a gentlemanly manner that will still keep his reputation of course) to achieve it.

Family/History: Zuri was the second child born into the Rylan family and ever since that day of birth, it has been a fairly difficult family to live with. Her father, Emrys, started out as a sociable, charming, and polite man, caring very much for his wife and loving the idea of family. Of course, this was all before he took on his responsibilities on the counsel. He is now easily defined as a work-a-holic, always putting his job before anything else. He is stern, controlling, demanding, and rarely seems to have time for love and care or even humor, for that matter. Zuri’s mother only uses her stubborn streak to rebel against her husband, unless he starts to hurt their children in ways she does not know how to fix. Fiorella (age 20), Zuri’s older sister, is beyond help. She HATES her father in every way possible, refusing to even try to make a relationship without fighting. Fiorella ended up a Water Elemental, like her mother, much to Emrys’ dismay and bitterness, for in his eyes Fiorella has better personality traits and qualities suited to be his heir. He continually points out Azura’s “flaws” and tries to fix them to how he sees necessary for her future position. Since she turned about eight years old, she has attended important meetings of the Counsel, having to remain silent and observe. She has been taught all of the ways of “earthly combat,” having to work many hours each day in learning and mastering and she has had the ways of politics practically engraved into her mind. Both parents have taught her poise and to be always polite, somewhere where they were a bit of a failure in teaching Fiorella. Fiorella has manners and all when she wants to, but she is much more independent than Zuri, not really caring to please her parents.
Between her and her father, Zuri does actually have a relationship, it is just an odd one. She strives in making him proud and clings onto every moment that she actually gets a glimpse of that pride, for it is very rare. Though she is… mistreated, she does still love him. She just wishes that he were not as harsh as he is and loves the time away from him. Coming to school has always been a love for her, since her first year, because it was and is an escape from everything I have written about and from the constant yelling fights that happen around the house between her parents and between Fiorella and her parents. Really, it is just best when Ella is staying at her boyfriend’s house, away from the Rylan house for weeks.
Personality: Azura is a sort of mix of what her dad has made her to be and what he has not yet been able to make her. She still has this ditzy air about her that Emrys has been working for years to beat out of her. Who would take a featherbrained blonde seriously? Even if she does have a lot to contribute. While she has this sort of aloofness to her, ditzy moments due to not thinking before speaking, a soft, bubbly kind of voice, and is seemingly naïve, she is not the airhead that people tend to think (well those who don’t know her think). Zuri is actually a smart and hardworking girl—not Ravenclaw material, but smart nonetheless. She is rather brilliant when it comes to politics and is an excellent combatant, she is incredibly neat and tidy, organized, and detailed. Some might even say obnoxiously obsessive in these latter categories. Zuri is as dependable and respectful as you can expect her to be. Her problem is how easily she is distracted… She isn’t known for being as loyal as others, but she genuinely doesn’t mean anything by it. She more often than not just doesn’t even notice that she’s left some astray.
As mentioned before, Azura often opens her mouth before thinking through what she is going to say, however she almost never acts without thinking and has worked a lot at paying more attention to what comes out of her mouth when around more “important people.” She tends to be a slightly different person with her peers than with said important people, but that is to be expected of almost anyone. With peers, she shows her true colours much more. She is adorably bubbly, GULLIBLE, friendly/kindhearted, optimistic, enthusiastic, and passionate. Ironically (with her being an earth elemental) she is vegan and a bit of an environmentalist and “tree hugger” and LOVES CoMC and Herbology while attending Hogwarts.
Lastly, because of how her dad points out what he views to be wrong with her, she tends to be very hard on herself and stress about things that need not be stressed about. She is easily embarrassed and highly critical.
Likes: The great outdoors, peace, the colours bright yellow and Kelly green, tofu and rice milk, meeting new people, daisies and sunflowers
Dislikes: Being treated as though she is any less than anyone else (particularly implying that she is unintelligent or not cut out for her position to come—she gets very irritated), heights (she likes having her feet firmly on the ground), the ocean. The beach is fine, but she doesn’t like being IN the water.

Overall: Zuri has a very feminine style of clothing with her outfits almost always well put together and never over the top. She is very much a minimalist. She tends to stick with the more neutral colours, only bringing in brighter colours as accents or for “festive” occasions.
She has these large, crystal blue eyes that are often looking around a room, distractedly, and a uniquely innocent face that screams adorable and naïve all atop a long body with a small amount of visible tone. She really does look breakable and, to her dismay, she cannot seem to tan much.

Sasha Willow Austin descended the step of the Underground in a mood. The argument with her father had quickly dissipated, though she was still loath to let it go. She certainly didn't want to be spending her summer at Hogwarts though her father thought differently. Having tried to convince him that her summer would be better spent observing him and studying the Court and Council, which had all been valid points, had only led to a fight and then a royal declaration from her father.
Sighing, she halted on Platform 10 1/2 next to her father, King Regent Wayde Austin. Her father was dressed impeccably as usual and was busy conversing with some of the other parents. No doubt about politics or the up and coming Court season. Glancing down she checked for the umpteenth time that her own appearance was in order.
Willow had chosen to wear her long blonde hair down and had left the waves in it, much to her mothers disapproval. Though if she had to admit it that's the main reason she wore it wavy. Her white tunic was simple yet elegant in its design, the sleeves trailed over her arms like one of the medieval dresses she so loved to wear and the square neck enabled her to showcase the necklace her mother had given her. It was the Austin family totem and the symbol of the royal family. Her father had given her the matching ring straight off of his own hand when she had come of age. Her black skirt was cut with mismatching hemlines giving it an angular effect that worked. The thin fabric fluttered around her calves and went well with the heels she had worn with it. Her silver belt set the whole outfit off perfectly.
Her father finally finished with his conversation and returned his attention to her. Willow gave him a wry smile. "Sorry about earlier. I'm just ready to be done with this summer." Her father nodded. "Don't worry. It'll be over before you know it and you'll be back here making the final preparations. Be good. And try and have some fun." Willow nodded and gave her father a big hug before turning and boarding the train. Some of the stewards bowed to her and she inclined her head otherwise paying them no heed. She wanted to find an empty compartment before they were all taken.
Meanwhile.....
Dozer woke with a smile on his face. First day of summer! Bounding out of bed, he threw on a pair of jeans and a green t-shirt and then scooped up his broom. There was plenty of time to get a little Quidditch in before the Oden's Ford students got here. That would give him plenty of time to shower and change before dinner.
Grinning, he shot through the Slythering common room and ran through the castle at top speed. He wasn't even fully out the door before he had mounted his broom and shot off into the air like a rocket. Summer!
Elena, knowing so well the tendency for her father to be late, made sure about two weeks ago that he thought they were to be on the Scarlett Engine no later than 8:30. This had worked almost three years in a row now. The sad part was that Galen was the only one who didn’t know of this little lie. The rest of her “family” could do nothing, but chuckle at the joke that was not even meant to be so.
But on time they were. Early even. She stood for a good fifteen minutes laughing with the group and listening to the summerly lectures of “representing your school and race well.” She had heard it all before, but this time there was a weeping mother following the short speech. Her mother was not at all an emotional woman, so Elena dismissed it as only being because it was the last year she would be going to Hogwarts—this marking the beginning of her last year at Oden’s Ford. Glancing at the time, she quickly said her goodbyes to the large group, giving them each a hug and her older brother, Ruben an extra few teasingly snarky words to remember he by.
As she entered the train itself, she smoothed out her simple, yet nicely fitted black dress. It was made of a stiffer fabric than she usually wore and had a sleeveless top, coming down in a sort of V-neck and a bottom that touched on her curves nicely, all pulled together by a clenched waist. It fell a little above her knees, showing off the slight tan she had already gotten from early summer. Her attention flicked down to the slightly oversized gold ring on her right ring finger, matching the gold woven chunk bracelet almost to a tee, and she promptly fixed it once again to have it centered. Walking down the isles, her rich burgundy eyes immediately began their search of Willow. She desperately wanted to see how the girl was doing, what with what she would be facing this summer at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Her eyes finally landing on the girl, she stepped inside, thankful that her father had not still been present. Him being the king, she found it to be a little intimidating… An odd feeling for Elena Nightwing.
“Hello lovely,” she greeted with a soft smile as she took a seat across from her. Being Elena, she cut right to it. “What in Merlin’s name are you going to do?”

Azura stood with her back to the wall, rather bored, as she watched her father make conversation with her mother and another family. She recognized them, but was surprised that they were not talking to people from the Council at the moment. He was smiling though, and that was something. As she watched, she took note as she so very often did when in public, how real the two looked—her mom and dad. They looked like they really did love each other. As if they did not fight every other hour of their lives. Frankly, she loved having the two of them out in public, because it was one of the few times she could at least dream of a happy family and see humor in her dad’s eyes and laughter come out of his mouth. But even more exciting… the fact that she got to spend yet another summer away from them. This is not to say that she doesn’t love her parents, because she absolutely does. But the Rylan family needed breaks from each other.
Zuri was quickly pulled from her thoughts and observations as her mother nudged her, suddenly right beside her, and muttered something under her breath. More of a command than anything else really to stand up straight. The smile never left her mother’s face though. With a light sigh, she scooted her feet back and pushed away from the wall, placing her arms in front of her in a more ‘welcoming’ fashion.
Finally, FINALLY, the others were making their leave. Zuri smiled sweetly at them and gave a small wave then turned her attention to her parents to say her official goodbyes.
Ash Redfern made his way down Kings cross with one of his servants. Most children brought their father, the King. However King Stark had something else to attend to today. Normally he was here at his sons side, but this year he found himself taking care of some buisness in Nothern Coventry.
As was not particularly looking forward to coming back to Hogwarts. He didn't mind Oden's Ford so much, but spending time around mortals all summer was less than fun in his mind. But on the plus side there was never a shortage on blood.
Some might have seen it as a curse to be a night dweller. Having live off of other people's life source and all, but Ash embraced it. He figured that he couldn't change it, and honestly who would want to when you were the heir to the House of Aerie.
He finally reached the platform and looked upon the scarlet train. He let out a sign, the knee length black coat that he wore billowing in the wind. Under the coat his wore black dress pants and a button down red shirt that of course was not buttoned all the way to the top. Any mortal girl looking at him would swoon at his sight. However here they were all equal in that sort of thing, so he was more at ease. As he grasped the bar at the steps to make his way onto the train his House Ring was clearly visible. He paid the servants no attention what so ever as he made his way onto the train.
Sure most of the students on here would be looking for an empty comartment. Ash on the other hands had other intentsions. He was looking for Willow Austin. He made his way through the train hoping to find her. After a minute of searching he looked through one of the windows and saw the heir to the House Gray Cloud. He knocked on the door and peaked his head inside. "Why hello Willow" He said shooting her a flattering smile. "Do you mind if I join you?" He asked her. They had known each other through the political meets for a while, so this was honestly not a strange question to be asking.
Willow had been deep in her book when Elena made her entrance. She gave her friend a smile and waved her in. Of course as was the Nightwing fashion she cut right to the chase. Heaving a sigh, she shook her head. "Ive no idea. Goddess willing maybe he won't talk to me this summer. Though Marik Gray was never one to let go easily. I'm not sure what else to do to be honest." Rubbing the bridge of her nose she looked over at her long time friend. "Love the dress by the way." It was going to be a long summer that was for sure.
The door to the compartment opened up once again, framing Ash Redfern in the door. Well, he was looking quite good these days. She hadn't seen him since the end of the year dance three weeks prior. They had danced together a couple of times saving her from a few of the less graceful suitors vying for her attention. They all hoped to become the Lord to her Lady. As was right she would rule Coventry and any one she married would be King but it was ultimately her rule. The King would simply serve as an adviser and her protector. Shaking off thoughts of ruling and queendom, as they usually got her in a mood, she returned Ash's smile.
"Of course Lord Redfern. Please." She motioned to the empty seats. "You've met Lady Elena Nightwing." She looked over at Elena and gave her a warning look. There previous topic was not open for discussion in current company. The last thing she needed was Redfern believing she had some kind of relationship with a mortal, one other then friendship. The mere thought of using the other four letter word gave her the shivers. Everyone knew the penalty and she had a responsibility to her people.
Again her mind wandered to her future so she wanted to keep her mind busy. "So, how did you do on your final exams? I found my own practical too easy." It was a safe topic to be discussing and one she hoped they would all contribute to. She hated awkward silences.
Ash looked at Willow. She had always been a beauty that evident. Of course when he was young his parents had always pushed the idea of the two of them ending up together, but as he had gotten older he had become rather fond of the idea himself. Why in the near future he would need a queen, and herself a king. Their houses also needed an alliance so what better way to do so than through marriage. Of course he had not expressed any of these thoughts with Lady Austin herself, but they were always lingering in the back of his mind.
He gave Willow a brilliant smile as she told him that he could join them. He bowed to her respectfully as he had been taught to do. He also kissed her hand, which wasn't required but Ash always felt that a lady should be honored with a kiss on his hand. As he did so he looked up to her and just for a millisecond caught her eyes and then stood up straight again.
When Willow pointed out Elena Nightwing he turned to her. "It's a pleasure to see you again Lady Nightwing" He said as he bowed to her as well, and just as he did to will kissed her and lightly (although he left out the whole eyes lingering on her part).
Ash took his seat in the compartment. As he heard Willow speak he looked over to her. "Oh yes, Final exams. I believe that I have excelled in them, just as I have done years past" He said with a nod of his head. "How about yourself? I'm sure you have scored nothing but the best" He said to Willow.

Jesse walked onto platform 10 1/2. He looked around for the person he wanted to see most, Emily, but she wasn't there. Jesse was excited, and sad about the coming year. It was his last year, and he was glad to be rid of it. But it also meant that it was the last year for him to play pranks on mortals. It was more fun to play pranks on mortals than immortals, because he didn't know the mortals.
Jesse boarded the train and saw Willow and Ash in a compartment. He wasn't particularly friends with either of them, but they were the only people there. He pushed open the door. "Hey," he said. "Mind if I join you?"
Elena nodded, thoughtfully to her friend’s response. She highly doubted that Marik would be leaving her alone, unfortunately. He really was a determined fellow and anyone could see his fancy for Willow… Though, quite honestly, she couldn’t blame him. Willow Austin was a wonderful and loyal friend with a kind and passionate heart and quite lovely. She would make a great queen and wife to any man. She opened her mouth to respond about her thoughts, but paused as her eyes fell on the gorgeous figure in the door. Quickly, she turned her conversation point to Willow’s latter comment. “And you look amazing as always.” Then added, “You should wear your hair like that more often.”
She really didn’t mind being completely missed by Ash. Elena knew he ‘only had eyes for her,’ so to speak. He was a man with an agenda. Psh, and people said Lena was oblivious. (She didn’t, however, notice the special look meant just for Willow.) Softly, she smiled to him as he kissed her hand and nodded. “Likewise, Lord Redfern.” Her eyes flicked over to Willow again, taking note of the warning expression on her face. She acknowledged it merely by tucking a strand of hair behind her ear and remaining silent.
“Ridiculously simple,” she contributed, neatly crossing her legs at the knee and smoothing out the skirt of her dress. Though not for everyone, she thought as her eyes fell on Azura, who was in the isle. That would be a more entertaining answer. Not that she was unintelligent it’s just… Well, she was Azura Rylan.
Zuri had finally had her pleasant goodbyes with her parents, hugging them each and kissing them on the cheek. She had run off before her father could add any extra lectures and went in search of friends. Glancing through the windows of the compartments, she spotted two friends and one… acquaintance, you could call him. But she would find someone else to sit with. She didn’t want to be a disturbance.. She did give a large grin and ecstatic wave, as was typical of her.
Elena gave an amused smile followed by a small wave in return. Shaking her head to herself, she brought her attention back to the other two in the compartment. She loved the adorable Zuri. Her bubbliness could get annoying when she wasn’t in a fantastic mood, but other than that… the girl was great fun.

Emily walked into platform 10 1/2. She could't find Jesse. He must be on the train already. She thought. Emily felt a bit of sadness run through her. It was her last year and she didn't want to leave. She loved being with people she was comfortable with.
Emily Got on the train and found Jesse. She walked into the compartment and saw Ash, and Willow. "Hi Jesse." She sat down and hugged Jesse. "Hello Willow, Ash." She greeted. "Oh I hope you don't mind me sitting here." Emily said to Willow and Ash.

Jesse hugged Emily, he was glad to see her. "Hey Em, want to go find a compartment?" He put his hand around her waist and left the compartment. "See ya Willow, Ash," he said with a sly smile. He didn't do anything, but he liked scaring people into thinking he did.
Jesse walked through the train and found an empty compartment at the very end. "Want to sit here?" He asked Emily. He slid open the compartment door and stepped inside. He sat down and offered Emily the seat next to him.

Emily smiled at Jesse. "Okay." She said. She blushed we he put his arm around her. Not out of embarrassment, out of the fact she loved him.
Emily let Jesse walk her through the train. They got to the very end, where there was an empty compartment. "Uh..sure." Emily replied with a smile. She sat down next to Jesse and got comfortable. It was going to be a LONG train ride.
Willow couldn't help but catch the look Ash sent her as he kissed her hand. Hmmm. What could that be about. Willow had grown up with Ash and the others, though Ash tended to stay with the other NightDwellers. As his father was on the Council of Seven they saw each other often enough. Over the last two years however, it seemed like Ash had been going out of his way to spend time with her. He always seemed to fill at least two slots on her dance card at all the parties. Last year at Hogwarts he also seemed to be a regular in their group. She would definitely have to inspect the matter closer.
Elena made a comment on her hair and Willow had the good grace to blush slightly. "Thanks. Mom likes it better when it's straight but I am rather taken with the waves." She gave her best friend a knowing smile. Her mother was always wont to tell her how best to look. Willow however, had different opinions and felt that since it was her body and hair, her opinion came first. She rather liked how the blonde waves went so well with her caramel colored eyes.
"The practical was a little simpler then I had expected. Creating rain and monsoons on the spot is child's play. The written portion gave me a little trouble though. The American Civil War was far more confusing then it should have been." Running a hand through her hair she smiled at Ash and Elena. At Oden's Ford they were required to learn the history of the entire world, not to mention be able to handle a rudimentary idea of languages, science, and literature. Just thinking of her finals, Willow was immensely happy to be off for the summer.
Zuri passed by the window, which elicited a smile from Willow. She gave the bubbly elemental a wave and watched as she pranced off. Turning back to her companions she went to studying Ash once again. Maybe, she could use this. Though before she made any decisions she would have to talk to Elena. She valued her friend's opinions highly.
Ash knew that Willow had seen the look that he had given her. She might not think anything of it, for the past few years now these sorts of actions had been carried out by him quite often. He knew what he wanted. He wanted Willow Austin, and he was set to get her to want him. He would never force her into anything, for even though his father would not have looked down upon the action he knew that it was wrong. After all the years of being the only one to ever care about his sisters he knew that girls had minds of their own, and even though he was still biased towards males he knew that they should be able to make their own decisions.
As Elena complimented Willows hair he nodded in agreement. "Well pleasing your mother is ideal, but I must agree with you that the waves are extremely lovely" He told her with a grin. That was not to say that he did not like it when she wore her hair straight. Actually Ash found her to be quite beautiful all of the time, but somehow the waves in her hair just suited her better.
As both girls commented on the exams he let out a small laugh. Its like they don't expect us to have the best tutors or anything, of course we are always going to do well" He said. Ever since Ash was young enough to remember he had been tutored. His parents had hired the best, so that he could idealy be the best. He knew that the others had to have had something along these lines. Knowledge was rated very highly in Coventry.
As Ash looked back over he noticed Willow studying him. He took this as good sign. He knew that Elena had to have had an idea that he was interested in Willow, for it seemed that most of Coventry did. But of course Willow herself did not. He actually quite liked it that way. For some reason it made him think that she was more suited to make a decision without everyone else being involved. He gave her a charming smile in return before he spoke again. "So are you both ready to get this last year of Hogwarts out of the way?" Ash asked.
Elena rolled her eyes. She loved Mrs. Austin dearly, but… she tended to be controlling and rather demanding from what she could see. Yes, Willow was going to be queen soon enough and therefore needed training in how to present one’s self in both appearance and manners, she needed to be taught proper meeting and greeting, a good use of vocabulary, and politics, but really now, she has it all down. “Frankly I think by now you should have your time for personal expression,” she said very matter-of-factly. She had chosen to lessen the pointed-ness of her statement. “Not to mention, the amount of time you must be saving in the mornings to wear it as it naturally is.” She grinned at her before turning her attention to Ash as he spoke. A light smirk came to her lips as she listened, but she quickly glanced down to her lap to hide it then looked up again with a soft sort of smile. Of course it was ‘lovely.’ He thought she was completely lovely! She knew not why she found this to be amusing, though perhaps it had something to do with her friend’s slight obliviousness to his intentions. Elena had no doubt that she would be making the connections soon though, unless of course, she already had… She hadn’t gotten much chance in the short period of time after school ended and coming here to talk with her.
Oi. The Civil War. That and the two World Wars… Why did the American mortals have to make everything so incredibly complicated? Not that, technically, it was their fault (in one case), but to have to learn it all was hell. Admittedly, however, Elena did find much of it very interesting, as she did most subjects in school. The French Revolution was much more exciting though.
“Oh dear god, yes. There is much I can say I enjoy about the school, but it brings about an unnecessary amount of drama..” That, she would not expound on at the moment.
Willow noticed that Ash had caught her studying her. If she had been the least bit bashful she probably would have blushed but she wasn't that kind of girl. Her father, The King, had taught her early that she would never have to apologize. For anything. As long as she was true to herself and her people. Taking in his question, she shrugged. She really didn't want to get into her extremely mixed feelings about this final summer. However, in current company she needed to come up with an answer. "I'm looking forward to being able to sleep in."
She gave another smile and then looked down at her hands. This whole pretense thing was wearing on her. Usually, going to Hogwarts meant being able to let her hair down so to speak. She could become just Willow, a person that didn't have to worry about appearances or being diplomatic. She could be herself, unfortunately this was not going to be the case this year. She would have to stay in her Queen mode. Her father had called it her Queen face. Sighing, she looked out the window as the train lurched forward carrying her toward what is turning out to be the most exhausting summer of her life. And she hadn't even seen Marik yet.
Pushing another hand through her hair she looked up and remembered her audience. Queen face, Wil. Glancing over at Elena she nodded her head. She sincerely hoped that when she took power that she would be able to exert some of her own individuality. "Thanks." She said quietly. Long summer indeed.
Ash saw that Willow had seen him catch her but she held her ground as if nothing had happened. That was a trait that he had always liked. Maybe it was because he had been raised to do the exact same thing. You never want to show that you have a weak spot. He found it a valuable characteristic to have.
Then he turned his attention over to Elena and saw her look down and smirk as he had commented on Willows hair. He knew that she had taken to what he had meant by the comment. He could just see it now, the girl talk that was to come as soon as he left the two of them alone. If Willow had been oblivious to him before, something told him that that wouldn't last for too much longer.
As they both commented on starting back at Hogwarts he nodded his head in agreement. He couldn't help but wonder if Elena was referring to something that only Willow would get when she mentioned drama. Oh the life of a girl, it seemed so complicated. Though he couldn't help but wonder what she was talking about. But it wasn't his place to wonder. It didn't concern him.
At one point Ash turned and saw Willow running her fingers through her hair. It seemed to him that her guard was down at the moment. That was something that you didn't see every day, especially from someone that had been raised into the responsibility that they all had. But even for that split second Ash had seen a side of Willow that he had never seen before. It just proved his idea that there was more to her than meets the eye. This was something that not many men from the House of Aerie would have never noticed. But him he saw that Willow was just as independent as he would ever be. Maybe this was one of the reason he was so attracted to her.
Dozer woke with a smile on his face. First day of summer! Bounding out of bed, he threw on a pair of jeans and a green t-shirt and then scooped up his broom. There was plenty of time to get a little Quidditch in before the Oden's Ford students got here. That would give him plenty of time to shower and change before dinner.
Grinning, he shot through the Slythering common room and ran through the castle at top speed. He wasn't even fully out the door before he had mounted his broom and shot off into the air like a rocket. Summer!
Marik woke up to the first day of summer feeling slightly nervous. This was the day that Willow was coming back to Hogwarts. This was the day he might be able to ask why she hadn't returned any of his letters. Or had stormed out on him. Marik got dressed in his Ravenclaw dorm and combed his blond locks. Grabbing his broom he knew full well that he needed to clear his head. It wouldn't do to be gloomy the first day with no classes. Slamming open the window he mountede his broom and flew out. Seeing Dozer already in the air circuling the grounds he flied towards him. Within shouting distance Marik called out "Morning Dozer! Perfect day for flying right?"
Willow shook out her hair and then looked out the window as the train picked up speed. Well, at this point there was only two things that she could do. One, she could completely turn on her inner diplomat and get absolutely no enjoyment out of the summer. Or, she could try and loosen up a little. There was one person she would have to be guarded around but that didn't mean she would have to be like that with everyone. This was her time. Coming to an internal decision Willow took off her jacket, kicked off her heels and got more comfortable in her seat. Reaching up she took a few of the barrettes that her mother had placed trying to keep her hair "under control" out and shook out her long locks letting them fall where they wished.
When she looked up she had a genuine smile of her face, the first one she had cracked in months. This was the person she always wanted to be but couldn't because of who she was. Well, she hoped to at least be able to blend the two together and become a great ruler. "Hhhmmm. Wonder where the food trolley is? Anyone else hungry?" Yet, another sore spot with her mother but she wasn't going to think about the food argument right now. Her mother wasn't here.
Dozer was flying over the lake when he saw another figure shoot out of a window. From the looks of it, the figure was coming out of the Ravenclaw tower. A grin spread across his face as he realized who it was. "Awesome day for it Marik!" Speeding past his friend he started another fast paced round around Hogwarts.
There was quite a pause of silence in the compartment, between a nod from Ash and Willow looking thoughtfully out the window. Elena, of course, didn’t feel the slightest bit awkward from it, she merely looked from one to the other then turned her rich burgundy eyes to her darkly coloured book bag, thinking of all the wonderful books she could be flipping through at the moment. She tended to read through her textbooks for the coming year’s classes the summer before they actually started. Those she was most excited about, as always, were the ones about her own personal gift, fire and fire control. While she was an excellent fire elemental, like her friends were in their own gifts, she hadn’t quite learned it all. Hence, having another year of schooling.
Before Elena could decide whether to bring one of them out now or later, though, Willow had caught her attention. She was finally allowing herself to be, well… Willow Austin; the one people knew from behind the scenes. She grinned at her, not having seen her even consider ‘letting loose’ since she broke off all contact with Marik.
“I absolutely am, as long as the fact of it doesn’t get back to my family, that is.” Willow knew by now that the trolly carried lots of candy and candy is just what tempted Elena so terribly. And if she was going to get anything from the trolly, it sure as hell was going to be candy. She assumed even Ash had picked up on this fact from the time he had spent with their group last summer. As a fire elemental, she knew she was only supposed to have a very limited amount of sugar, but as long as dad didn’t find out… As far as her mother, she only cared so much because the woman was a bit of a health nut.
Ash looked continued to look at the window at the countless number of trees that passed. The silence wasn't really bothering him. For he had been taught if there was nothing to say then say nothing. He had learned that part of a being a great leader was not only having the talent of speaking but knowing when not to speak as well.
Then he turned his attention back to both of the girls once more. He could now see that Willow was completely letting her actual self shine through. It was a nice change to see from her. Although when she was being all poised and queen like there was a fierceness about her that couldn't be ignored. That was something that Ash valued as well.
As he heard her question he let a smile come to his lips. And then he heard Elena's response to her question and he actually let out a small laugh. "Well Elena your secret is safe with me" He told her with a smile. He knew how strict the families of Coventry were on their children and when it came to appetite, well they were even harder on the girls.
He turned back to both of them. "You will never find me to be one to turn down food" He said to them with a grin. "Surely it is around here somewhere" The talk of food actually made him somewhat excited to be going back to Hogwarts. It was one of the only things that he actually enjoyed about the school. The food was quite different from the prestigious food of the House of Aerie.

Marik grinned at his friend and then shot of after Dozer around Hogwarts. Out of breath and still up beat several minutes later he stopped mid air to just relax on his broom. Waiting for Dozer to join him Marik's thoughts were unwillingly drawn to the blond girl that soon would be arriving at Hogwarts. Would things still be like they had left things at the end of the year, in shambles. He wanted his best freind back but didn't know if she felt the same. Dozer was knoweledgeale about girls maybe he had some advice to give.
