Keith had a blank expression on his face and his hands were clasped together. Umm, this dancing thing was nerve-wrecking and on top of that, the other students were just simply butchering the slow dance. Why did they have to talk so loudly? Can't they shut their gob for a few minutes? It's was totally ruining the mood of the dance. Keith almost wanted to rip the head of a girl who crushed his toe with her high heels. Glaring the girl for a moment, Keith was slowly going into head boy mode when Kat said something, "Oh no, let's dance and umm do you know the name of that girl, the one with pink bows in her hair?" Snicker. She crushed his foot and now he'll make sure she gets a nice payback.
This ball was nothing like the ones held in his mansion every year by his grandparents. They are always so posh and classy. Shrugging, Keith placed his arms around Kat's waist, pulling her closer to him. The song wasn't the best but anyhow it was slow and that's what matters, "Why do you have to look so stunning? it makes me nervous." He said, shyly but still looking into her eyes.
Kat wrapped her arms around Keith neck, glancing at the girl with giant pink bows in her hair. "Oh wow..." She said, mutter her laugh. "Someone had a real fashion overload." She added, rolling her eyes at the girl. No wonder she was all alone, staring at all the couples dancing. Kat's eyes then drifted to another girl all by herself, Trina. Sighing Kat took her eyes off Trina as Keith said something to her. Blushing slightly, not knowing what to say. "It just comes naturally I guess." Kat said, once she found words.
"Now why do you have to be so sweet and charming and just plain amazing?" She asked, looking at Keith. It was true, he was all these things and more. "Oh, and I forgot one more thing...perfect."
Trina sighed. Wow this song was long. She looked around, she was sucha loser. Everyone here had a date and was dancing. Well, except the nerdy Ravenclaws that couldn't get dates, the nerd herd, as they were called by everyone else.

He wasn't really one to take things to heart, but when Sam simply asked if he really liked her, his heart kinda broke at hearing how plainly honest she was. It was true, and he knew it, that other students probably didn't see him as the adoring boyfriend type, and that's probably the type of guy Sam should have had.
He took a moment to answer; he wanted to make sure he was saying the right thing before he just blurted something out with the wrong words. "I do like you, Sam," he finally said. He paused, then shrugged in order to at least appear like he was speaking casually. "I'm sorry that I'm not like Keith or Patrick - when he wasn't under that potion, that is. They're both really.. gentlemanly and everything. 'Specially Keith. " Was gentlemanly a good word for that? Oh well, she'd get the gist of it. "But even though I joke around and jokingly flirt with girls," he smiled. "I'm still all yours." Feeling that his little schpeil needed some sort of lightness to balance out all the serious talk, he added one more thing. "Just no calling me 'pooky' or some completely mortifying name like that."
Sam smiled and replied, "I like you just the way you are. You don't have to be like Keith or Patrick to impress me. And I love it when you joke around. You're the one that makes me smile the most." That was WAY deep. She had never really talked like that before, especially in front of Shaun. "I'm all yours too." Sam put her head on Shaun's shoulder and it was quiet, until he said the "pooky" comment. Sam almost knocked over to refreshments table as she was doubled over in laughter. When she finally calmed down as she was getting annoying with all the other couples glaring at her, she started dancing with Shaun again and said, "Only if you don't call me muffin or something like that."

OOC: Hey, so is it all right if I double up as another guy, just to make things a bit more interesting? =)
Shaun smiled and continued dancing with Sam. "No worries. There's no chance of me calling you 'muffin.' Although, I may happen to slip up and call you 'Babycakes' every now and then," he teased. Surprisingly, he wasn't bored by slow dancing, like he usually would be by now. It just seemed so easy and natural with Sam. But, when the song came to an end, he felt that the timing was right for something more up-beat to start playing.
Seeing Trina over by the refreshments table, Shaun flashed a smile towards Sam and kissed her on the cheek before he excused himself for a second, and jogged over to Trina. "So, I'm going to say this plainly," he told her, shaking his hair away from his grey eyes. "Patrick is an idiot right now - not entirely his fault, though - and you are way too pretty to be standing here with the dweebs and nose-pickers." And, without asking, Shaun grabbed hold of Trina's wrist and tugged her over to where Sam was at. "Time to show off our moves.. and time to see how horrible some of our classmates really are at dancing."
Kat wrapped her arms around Keith neck, glancing at the girl with giant pink bows in her hair. "Oh wow..." She said, mutter her laugh. "Someone had a real fashion overload." He wasn't very sharp when it came to girls and fashion but that bow was really pathetic. Shaking his head slowly, he turned back to Kat. She was so famous at school, he was too but in a completely different sense. She was famous for being cool, gorgeous and what not but at the end, Kat was such a down to earth girl. However, half the school girls would love to kill her out of jealousy.
Keith smiled, he's not perfect or charming. If he was one of these, surely a flock of girls should've wanted to go to the dance with him but it wasn't the case, "I'm flattered." He said with light bow of his head. "Kat I'll be leaving Hogwarts in a month or two, this was my last term. Promise that you'll write to me?" He lowered his head, just a month or two and he'll be out in the real world, hunting for a job and hopefully attending the patients at St.Mungo's.

Kat smiled back, looking around the place again. She was finally at one of the most important dances ever. She had waited for this say ever since she had been 11 years old. She looked back at Keith when he began talking about how he would be leaving in a couple months, her heart sinking slightly. How was she gonna deal without him! "I promise, as long as you actually write back." She said looking down.
This sucked, Kat still had another year before she would graduate from Hogwarts with Trina, Jada, and Sam. "I'll miss you." She whispered looking into Keiths eye.
"Um okay." Trina let Shaun lead her back to where he and Sam were standing."What exactly are we doing?" she giggled nervously. Hopefully her hours of practicing dance before shhe came to Hogwarts would pay off. She still danced a little when she was by herself. She was one of the most graceful people at Hogwarts next to Jada.

Personality: Cameron is a sly thing. He is determined to get what he wants, and he typically does get whatever that is- sometimes by charm and sometimes by other methods. His personality is rather dynamic - he'll be honey sweet to one person, and cold as ice to another - it depends on who he's talking to. With his charming manner and good looks, Cameron is known for having the girls fawning over him left and right. But, due to his frequent personality changes, many people often find it difficult to discern his true character: mainly, it comes down to what people want to think if him - if they want him to be a good guy, they'll see him as one (for the most part), and if they want to see the opposite, they view him as nothing but the typical, cunning, no-good Slytherin.
Other: He is the Slytherin Head Boy.

Shaun grinned at Trina's question and shrugged his shoulders. "Anything you want," he answered. "The music kinda has a techno edge, so I'm bustin' out my popping and locking skills." He gave a small laugh as he began dancing very similar to how a robot might jig.
Cameron walked swiftly into the Great Hall, students stealing glances at him in his suave all-black dress robes. A smile curved onto his face; he never tired of getting attention. His eyes landed on several people in particular. Kat - he had met her before, several times, and he always seemed to hit it off well with the Gryffindor beauty. Ugh, but she was dancing with Keith McLean? Blehh. That boy needed a little edge to his life. Cameron smirked at the thought, his mind suddenly coursing with ideas.
His eyes shifted further over. Shaun Devarran, dancing with two girls. Not surprising. And the girls were... He peered past the group of students in front of his line of sight. Ah. He recognized the blond curls of Trina Self, and easily spotted Samantha in her black and white dress. Hah. If Sam thought she was dating Shaun, she'd be in for a heartbreak soon enough. And, how could he have missed her? Miss Jada Ginger, always a pleasure to look at. Yes, this dance would be entertaining, to say the least.
And, with a slow hand sifting through his perfectly golden hair, Cameron walked on into the neatly decorated, red and white Great Hall.
Tanner silently observed Keith and Kat, they seemed sad. But then that was natural since all of the guys were graduating while the girls weren't. It was something that he really didn't want to think about right now though. There were other things that he should be focusing on, one of those being Jada who he had been neglecting somewhat.
Turning to face Jada he held out a hand and bowed slightly, "Would you like to dance with me?" he asked confidently, sure that she wouldn't refuse. This was Jada after all and she loved to dance. He would say that she basically lived to dance.

Sam went over to Trina with Shaun and pulled her over, starting to dance again. "So Tri, have you taken up on that boy's offer yet? You know, that boy who asked you out in Hogsmeade?" As soon as Sam shifted her line of vision, she saw Cameron from Slytherin walk into the Great Hall. She was caught off guard for a minute and blinked rapidly, but then she remembered why she didn't like Cameron and looked away at Shaun. Geez, why were Slytherin's so mean, and yet so cute? But Shaun was WAY cuter. Totally.

Jada was leaning against the refreshment table, looking at a girl with a huge honking pink bow on her head. Seriously, who the heck would wear that to a dance, unless they wanted to be laughed at. Looking over Tanner when she heard a voice. "Dance? I'm pretty sure you know my answer." Jada said, smiling at him.
"I'll be right back then." he said with a smile, before walking over to the DJ. Quickly whispering in his ear the DJ nodded slightly before changing the song. The music coming now was completely different, it was the soft strains of one of Debussy's pieces that came from the speakers now as Tanner walked back over to Jada, taking her hand in his.
Leading Jada out onto the floor Tanner quickly placed his hand on her waist and waited for her to be ready before starting to dance in time with the music.
Trina glanced at the door right when Cameron Rochester walked in. She remembered in her third year when almost every girl in every house fawned over him. Well except her, she was fawning over Patrick. Trina stepped to the side when the slow song came on so she wouldn't get in Shaun and Sam's way. She wanted to giggle when a girl with big, honking red bows fell almost landing in the punch bowl. That would have probably been the highlight of Trina's day, if she had.

Jada wrapped her arms around Tanners neck, swaying back and forth with the music. "Today is just perfect." She said smiling. It was true today was perfect, she was at the dance having a great time, and she was with the perfect guy AND the most important thing was that Kyla wasn't at the dance and Pat would hate her for all eternity.

Another slow song, this time classical, started up and echoed throughout the hall. Shaun smiled as he placed his arm about Sam's waist and began slow dancing again. "Hmm.. so I was thinking," he informed her. "What should we all do after the dance? I hear there's an after-party in the Room of Requirement." Personally, he liked the idea of a party, but if Sam would rather do something else, he'd do what she wanted.
He quickly picked up on the turning heads, and Shaun followed everyone's gaze over to the arriving Cameron Rochester. Some people hated the kid, others loved him, and Shaun was pretty much indifferent. He was always cool to Shaun, at least. "I was wondering when Cameron would show up," he murmured, before shrugging slightly and looking back to Sam for an answer about what to do afterwards.
A smirk crept onto Cameron's lips as he felt the heads turn. He'd never tire of the attention. Oh, and was that a slow song starting up now? Perfect. Just who to dance with, though? There were always so many options...
"Trina," Cameron greeted smoothly. "You look amazing," he smiled softly and rested his hands behind his back. "You know, I had been hoping to steal a dance from you." His blue eyes never left hers. "Would you do me the honor?"

"Shaun, how could you even ask me that question? You know me well enough that my number one favorite thing is partying... well, apart from you of course." She smiled and followed Shaun's gaze to Cameron the Slytherin. Of course he was handsome, but really? Cameron? It was almost like he had a new girl every single week. But when he asked Trina to dance, Sam had to step in. She fast-walked over to them and took Trina's arm, saying, "Sorry Cameron, but Trina's already got a date and he will be here soon. So please go away now." She dragged Trina over to Shaun and glared at Cameron. Sam really hoped Trina wouldn't ask he why she did that, but she knew she would.
Kat looked over as the Great Hall doors swung open and Cameron, the hotest guy in the school walked in. She smirked as she saw him ask Trina to dance. Even if Patrick wasn't here, Trina still deserved to dance with someone! But then Sam walked over and dragged Trina away....what was wrong with her? Pulling away from Keith, Kat walked over to Trina and Sam. "Ok, I know Camerons not Trinas dream boy, but she should get to decide if she wants to dance with him." She said to Sam, grabbing Trina's arm and dragging her back towards Cameron. "Sorry about that Cam." She said. "Trina is gonna answer for herself." Kat turned around and looked at Sam, and stuck her tongue out, before walking back over to Keith.

Sam glared at Kat, then walked over to her and said, "No! Cameron can't dance with Trina! She is supposed to be waiting for Patrick to come! She can't fall in love with Cameron, or dance with him! What if Patrick comes in and they're having a make-out session by the punch bowl? Do you know how he's gonna take that? NOT GOOD! AND they'll never speak to each-other again and it will be just like when he was under the Potion. And by the way, where is that wart Kyla? I thought she would at least come but since everyone knows that she used a potion on patrick I guess it would be embarrassing. Whatever." Sam was talking really fast, she almost couldn't understand what she was saying!
"I" Trina was about to answer as Sam pulled her away from Cameron."What the heck Sam?" she asked but then Kat pulled her back."Thank you Kat." she said. Trina looked up at Cameron's blue eyes."I would love to." she said quickly before Sam would have the time to come back and yank her away again.
Sam glared at Kat, then walked over to her and said, "No! Cameron can't dance with Trina! She is supposed to be waiting for Patrick to come! She can't fall in love with Cameron, or dance with him! Sam was talking really fast, she almost couldn't understand what she was saying!
OOC: lolz what ever did happen to Kyla?
Kat looked at Sam and rolled her eyes, kind of. "Sam, did you forget what Madam Chickering said? Pat's not gonna change back until around midnight, and the dance ends at that time." She said calmly. "I know Trina and Pat are meant for each other and all, but even though she can't dance with Pat, don't you think she deserves to dance with at least someone?"
Looking over at Trina who was talking to Cameron, Kat smiled. "Looks like your too late either way. She's already accepted." She said looking at Sam with a hahaha-i-was-right-you-were wrong face.
| | Pigfarts... is on MARS! | | Computer Nerd Alert! | |
Sam just glared and replied, "Nooooo Kat, you're wrong. Madame Chickering said patrick would be done 15 minutes before midnight. So HA!" Sam crossed her arms and waited to see if Kat would respond, looking over to see Trina accepting Cameron's offer. How could she? She loved Patrick, she didn't love Cameron! This was all wrong! Sam was confused. She couldn't stand being confused.

Shaun shook his head at the girls as they squabbled about Trina's love life. He actually agreed with Kat, but there was no way that he was involving himself in their little disagreement. Huh uh. Sensing that it was time to separate Sam and Kat for a bit, Shaun tugged Sam towards him a bit. "C'mon, I'm thirsty," he told her. "And the punch sounds pretty good right about now."
Cameron looked from Trina, to Sam, to Kat. Hah. He asked Trina a simple question, and yet it takes three girls to sort out the answer. He smirked. Figures.
Besides, who was Samantha to tell Trina what to do? But when Kat cut in in his favor, he flashed her a smile. "Thank you, Kat; I agree. After all, it is Trina's decision." He then shifted his eyes to Trina, smiled, and offered her his hand.
Trina returned Cameron's smile and took his hand happily. She walked out onto the dance floor with him, stopping in the middle and putting her arms around his neck. Wow, some slow songs are long. This one lasted through the little squabble that just happened between Trina, Kat, and Sam and it was still going.
Aidella | King of Confusion | Brittana | Forever ACROMANTULA
"You know, I haven't had too many classes with you these past few years," Cameron commented as he slowly swayed to the music with ease. "It's a shame. I think the last time I really talked to you was third or fourth year." The couples danced around them, and he and Trina danced in sync with them. "How have you been?"
| | Pigfarts... is on MARS! | | Computer Nerd Alert! | |
Sam frowned with a sad expression on her face as Shaun tugged her over to the punch bowl. As he was getting them both some punch, Sam kept glancing over at Cameron and Trina, making sure they didn't get to close. Why couldn't Cameron have asked anyone else? There were plenty or pretty girls in the Great Hall to choose, why did he have to pick Trina? Then a thought hit Sam very suddenly? What is Kyla had something to do with this? What if she had bribed Cameron into distracting Trina to forget about Patrick, then she would have him for the last 15 minutes of the dance! NO WAY! That could NEVER happen! But as soon as Sam as about to go over and tell Trina her thoughts, one of her fave song's by a muggle artist came one. She had to dance with Shaun for this song, it was to much!
